Alternative table in BW3.5 WAS 6.40

Hi,
I have BW3.5 basis 640 and BW3.5 WAS 6.40 installed , when i tranfer custom report on BW3.5 WAS 6.30 system & when run it gives error saying "syntax error" data type not found , this is b'cause i have custom report which uses this table AIBW_HELP in BW3.5 basis 640 but not available in BW 3.5 WAS 6.40 system can you tell is there any alternative table available in the BW3.5 WAS 6.40 system for table AIBW_HELP.
from this AIBW_HELP table i am interested in company code and Business Area fields.

I don't understand your question. AIBW_HELP is a structure that comes from BI content and is used in some function modules. What do you mean with basis 640 and WAS 640? The WAS and the basis should be the same. Maybe you should check if you have installed any BI_CONT package in your target system. If not install it and the structure should be there.

Alternative table name on client side

Hi,
i'm using java api for my publication and i have to use an alternative table name on client side. For example the table name on database back-end is 'EMP', but, the statement for the snapshot is "SELECT * FROM EMP" but i would like using another name on client side, not 'EMP'. The API doc does'not help me.

I do not believe this is possible. When publishing you get an error if the publication item name is not found in the schema database.
More complicated, but would work, would be to create a view in your main schema create view v_emp as select * from emp
you can then use v_emp as the name, and this is what will be created on the client. Depending on the view complexity, you may need to create instead of ionsert/update/delete triggers for it, and in the publication item define the base tabe and PK values

There's a good chance the file is corrupt. As whomever sent it to you to verify it opens on their end.

Alternative Table for KONV & BSET

Find when table Authorization Group was changed

Dear Experts,
Kindly help me on finding this. Table T001B have standard Authorization group as FB31 but it has been changed to &NC& by some one. It means &NC& means there is no Authorization group assigned to the table. I need to find when it was changed. Do i have any ways to find it out? I checked with entering table name in CDPOS i didnt find any entry. Kindly help me out how to find who and when this table Authorization group was changed for table T001B.

I check in that transaction it shows log only for 3 months. I dont see any changes to those table what i want may be this Authorization group change in done even older.

Inserting table background images [was: CS4 DW]

Dear all,
I've have trouble inserting the background images in a cell of a table. When I was using CS3 I had the options of selecting BG color or image, as well as choosing the border color.
Right now in CS4 I can't even insert one in a cell, only color bg, and also editing the font size, color, type..
Can anyone advise?

CSS code uses a different syntax than HTML code.
With CSS you can use a background-color: #FFF or a background-image (URL). This can point to an absolute URL:
background: url (http:yoursite.com/images/bg-image.jpg)
or to an image in your DW local site folder:
background: url (some-folder-in-your-local-site/image.jpg)

Specifying tables in CSS (was Defining constants)

Following some suggestions from Gary, I modified my table
specification to
read:
.pictureframe {width: 5%; background-color: #d8d8f0; }
.pictureframe td{padding: 5px; }
In the HTML file this is invoked with:
<table class="pictureframe" align="left"> [or as
required
This worked fine, except that if I had three pictures
together aligned
respectively left, centre and write, Dreamweaver did not
display them correctly,
but drew the left and centred images on top of each other.
Gary also suggested replacing the 'align' statement with a
'floa' statement in
the CSS. This meant that I had to have separate styles for
each alignment, so I
introduced three new styles:
.pf_l, .pf_m, .pf_r {width: 5%; background-color: #d8d8f0; }
.pf_l, .pf_m, .pf_r td {padding: 5px; }
.pf_l {float: left; }
.pf_m {float: none; }
.pf_r {float: right; }
This introduced a new set of problems. Firstly style 'pf_m'
takes up the
default alignment of the cell it is in, instead of being
centred, as I wanted,
so to get it centred I still had to add an align = centre
statement in HTML, and
secondly the image drawn with pf_r has a wider border than
the others. I cannot
see why this should be so.

so, but you can hardly blame me for not knowing that.

Alternating Table Rows - Complex tables

Hi,
I am trying to display a dynamic table in my PDF. The logic that creates the pdf bindings is basically 2 for loops. Think of a table that has rows that expand. Each expandable row is a "Main Row" and each expanded row is an "indented row".
This is the desired look of the PDF table:
Main Row 1
          Indented Row 1.a
Main Row 2
I created a pdf template with LiveCycle Designer that has a table, with two dynamic rows. the top row displays the non-expanded information. The bottom row holds the expanded information. Please view this xml for an example:

Try this:
1. Wrap your main row and indented row in a subformSet.
2. Mark the subformSet as repeating
3. Mark your main row and indented row subforms as "not repeating"
4. Make sure your subformSet type is: "select one subform from alternatives"

Alternating table fill style and cell style (CS3)

Hello,
I have a problem with alternating rows.
When I apply alternating row fills in a table,
it only seems to work if I don't use any cell styles.
As soon as I apply a cell style, the fill defined in the table style disappears.
I tried setting the fill in the cell style to 'none' and to 'ignore',
but it still is overriding the table style apparently.
Is this normal? Can something be done about it?
Or should I apply different cell styles for every other row?
How could I do that easily?
I don't find anyway to select multiple non-adjacent rows.

Z, I had a similar problem. The two provide contradicting info for some reason and program grabs just one. I would remove the cell style and work with just the table style. Set the fills in the table style then apply a cell style if you want to align only the text within. Hope this helps.

You may be having a problem with some extension or plugin that is hindering your Firefox's normal behavior. Have you tried disabling all add-ons (just to check), to see if Firefox goes back to normal?
