Print preview is different from print in scripts
Hi,
i am having issue in alignment of sap script .i have adjusted my form output based on print preview .but when i am taking the output i am having alignment issue .Not only that there are some missing column boundaries in printout.
Now i cant make alignment based on printout because i am having 12 column in output and its difficult to take printout everytime i check for alignment.Hi,
Please check whether the printer name is same in preview and printout generally we are checking the preview
on our windows printer(LOCL) where as your client may cheak the printouts in some other printer in your print
preview also please change the printer what he is using for printouts.
Some times margins may cut due to the settings in the printer we must maintain some space for borders.
Coming to your allignment point the space for spaces and fonts it may vary from printer to printer so
create multiple windows to design the text in the pattern you exactly required instead
everything in one single window or atleast write them in different lines and if possible avoid any spaces are there
before your text.

'#' unexpectedly inserted into output fields in script print preview
Hello Experts,
I came across a problem that confused me so much that when i try to see the print preview of a script form, the output fields in Main window were all printed with '#' inserted, as below:
the output is like 7#8#0#0#0#....but it should be 7800017167
and also, for other fields like date and amount, the same problem occurs.
But the most weird thing is that, the issue only occurs in the Main Window of the second page of the form, but not in the first page although they share the same Main Window. And what's more, it only happened in the Testing System, I can not replicate them in develop system...
I know it may be a very isolate problem, but i just want to try my luck to see if any of you could shed me some light~
Thanks!Hi Siva,
Can you tell me please, wheather its a "Z" driver program or Standard driver program.
After execution of the program/transaction code go for <b>systems</b>> then for <b>Status></b> then you can find the <b>program name.</b> You can go into that and search for the <b>Open_form</b>. Before Open form set the <b>BreakPoint</b> there you can find the form name which will pass during run time through variable.
other option is that go for <b>NACE</b> transaction and see for <b>routine,</b> <b>for example</b> If it is invoice then it will be Billing. select your that<b> area</b> and click on <b>Output type button.</b> there you can see the output types You can go in that and see for program and form name, then you can confirm the output type.

Script form configured to VA01,VA02 & VA03..help me with Print preview?
Hello,
Very Good afternoon!
There is a Script form which is configured to VA01, VA02, VA03.
I have difficulty to access Print preview from Va01/va02/va03.
I am able to access it through T-code SOST.
It is correctly configured in Nace.
When I go to T-code VA02 and provide appropritae saled Order number then it will take me to the next screen there...
I had clicked on Extras>Output>Header-->Print Preview.
It says that Output could not be issued.
When I click on Extras>Output>Header-->Edit
It will display the Output type, Medium, Print Output and
Partner function. I see that it is displaying in yellow color. Genrally it should be green in color.
Can anyone guide me what are the things that I need to check in this window genrally to access Print preview.
Do i need to check anything here in Nast table...?
Please suggest...
Any suggestion would be appreciated.
Thanks & Regards,
Developer.Hello Sathya,
Thank you for your response!
Sathya- It is correctly configured. it has something to do in the NAST TAble. If it is not configured properly in the NACE then it will not show the out put in the T-code SOSt.
Can you please suggest what I can chcek in the NSAT table or plz tell the standard way to configureing the Output type in this path.
VA03 > Extras->Output>Header>Edit.
Here you have to give its settings....Please chek..
Any suggestions will be apprecaited.

Unicode Sap Scripts - Print preview contains overwriting
Hi All ,
After doing unicode test, the program output when i see in print preview gives me unreadable charecters and overwritings . Earlier version 4.6 c did not had this problem ... i am new to sap scripts any help is highly appreciated.

SAP GUI code page you can check in the following way:
open SAP GUI, put cursor on your system item, click 'properties', 'change' or 'settings' (not sure how it is called) and you will get it.
I am not an expert in basis but to check application server code page you can run report RSPARAM1 and search for parameter that contain 'codepage' in its name (for example install/codepage/appl_server).
Perhaps that the reason of your problem,

Difference in LOCL print preview for same script in two different systems
Hi All,
When I am testing a dunning letter ( Custom sapscript) in my testing system the LOCL print preview is correct...When I am testing it in my development system by taking print preview from LOCL it is not printing a uline and some line item headers...
There is one text element for printing line item header.
U1....ULINE(73)
T0 &vline& ....&T_MATNR&..
T3 &vline&
UL &ULINE(73)
IN Development sytame in print preview every thing is perfect except the above portion the first uline and vline are not getting printed and as a result next vline and uline are dispalyed a bit above .. I am unable to understand why one uline is not printed but the othe one is printed as we are using HELVE12 in both cases and above all why in test system this problem is not occuring..
I checked and am 100% sure there is no difference between the layout versions in the two sapscripts...Also checked most of the SPAD configs in two systems and found them same..
Can you give me any idead about the reason for the diffrence in print preview as in both cases it will consider the printer installed on the local desktop....
Just we use citrix metaframe to log in SAP but that should not be the reason as thne problem would be in both system..
Please help me out...
Thanks and Regards
SwetaHi ,
I already mentioned that I am selcting LOCL ( Device type Sapwin) in both cases so in both cases it is considering the printer installed on the local system...
Can anyone tell me specific spad config or anything else which I need to compare in both systems.. -
In PO script values not flowing in Print out ( print preview is ok)
hi,
I am modifying MEDRUCK so that I can place a new Window to display <i><u>PO text</u></i> . I am using FM 'READ_TEXT' to get the <i><u>PO text</u></i> . In <b>print preview</b> I can display the <u><i>PO text</i>,</u> but in <b>print out</b> <i><u>PO text</u></i> is missing . Can you please help me .
Regards ,
Antony .Hi
The following statements in the Main window of Medruck are responsible for printing the Header and Item texts of the PO
Header_Text
/: INCLUDE &T166K-TXNAM& OBJECT &T166K-TDOBJECT& ID &T166K-TDID& LANGUAGE LANGUAGE &EKKO-SPRAS& PARAGRAPH IX
Item_text
/: INCLUDE &T166P-TXNAM& OBJECT &T166P-TDOBJECT& ID &T166P-TDID& LANGUAGE &EKKO-SPRAS& PARAGRAPH IX
And they are maintained under the text elements HEADER_TEXT and ITEM_TEXT
so if you want these texts to be printed in your window corresponding text elements have to be used along with the Include statements
