Alternative to SHMA and Shared Object

Hi,
my sap release is 4.7.
It's exist an alternative solution to SHMA in this release?
Regards
Angela

If you call up the ABAP online help and enter EXPORT as keyword, you will get very extensive information plus some examples. Would be a waste of space to replicate this here.
There also is a simple example here:

  • Query Time Out and Shared Objects

    Hi,
    I have 2 questions.
    1) from st22 i can get the list of users and time out information. But how can I find related query which has been time out by that user ?? as of now i was getting query information from st22 by getting abap program name which starts with "G" and find related query for that from the table rsrrepdir. But recently it is happening that i get abap program which starts with "G" from st22 time out but its not giving me any query information in RSRREPDIR table or by t-code se38.
can anyone guide me how can i get query info from st22 ? we have so many time out occuring in production have to trace that and improve the query performance.
    2) 2nd question is - how can i get list of queries which are having shared objects like variables, templates, key figures, structures etc...
is there any specific table or t-code which provides that? we have to delete some queries in prod. but before that we want this list.
A.H.P. I am counting on you extensively for help coz i have seen that you reply to everybody. and i have asked same question in another forum at SDN but no reply !!!
    waiting for help...

    Hi Bhanu,
thank you for your prompt reply.
well, we dont have woorkbooks atall. we got the inventory list of all queries needs to be deleted in production. we are deleting very very old queries which are not even in used now. i know the variables and str. etc...remains but still needs to know how to find out the queries with shared object. i want that information in hands before i delete anything in dev. system and transport it to prod. so, i will have proof that i didnt delete anything important. hope you understands what i mean and why i need to know this !
i found few tables related to this but cannt relate them and get the info I need. RSRREPDIR, V_ELTDIR_TXT, RSZELTXREF,etc..
where used list in BEx gives us the webtemplates names nothing else. i meant not the shared objects. and if it is giving shared objects info then i guess i am not aware of it coz few queries i tried to check didnt get that info in "where used" list.
in metadata repository ?? i didnt get it!! how can i find queries with shared objects in metadata rep ?

  • Flex2 and shared objects

    Hello all
We have made a cool FLEX application (which also in on Flex
showcase) and it works like a charm with Firefox, while in IE it
will go down in flames with an IE-exception after some minutes of
    active use.
And we cannot find the error. We have a suspicion that this
is related to our use of shared objects.
The application displays financial charts, and the values are
stored in the cache as a shared object, so it will display faster
the next time. This works perfect with Firefox and in IE not.
    Please try this out:
    Radar Lite
In IE, you break it by switching stocks in the grid control,
this will trigger a get on new chartvalues that will be stored in
    shared objects
I have been googling like crazy to find a solution of this
problem, without success. Has anyone here heard of a problem
similar to this. We could really need some help here.
    Thanks in advance.
    Lars

    Hi there

developed a rss reader ,the App is running fine and getting refresh
in Mozilla but the it is not getting refresh in IE . "
I am trying to solve this problem from last 3 days but cant
    get it right ,
I need some advice and also some sort of help of i can get

  • Adobe update that creates "Native Cache" "APSPrivatedata" and "Shared Objects" folders

There was an Adobe Flash Player update (mine was on 1/4/2013) that started creating folders listed above. Since then 1) all Real Player conversions of flv (video) files to m4v (video) files take twice as long and 2) recording video mixes in Virtual DJ is impossible due to video lags.
    Windows XP, 32 bit
    Suggestions are appreciated..Thanks.

Batteryboy1 the first errors I came across in your log file is as follows:
    02/12/14 10:09:54:697 | [ERROR] |  | OOBE | DE |  |  |  | 9756 | DF045: File corruption detected. Re-install the product & then apply the patch again. (Can not repair file "C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CC\32 bit Photoshop dlls\AlignmentLib.dll")(Seq 3)
    02/12/14 10:09:54:697 | [WARN] |  | OOBE | DE |  |  |  | 9756 | DW063: Command ARKPatchCommand failed.(Seq 3)
For this error I would recommend removing and reinstalling Photoshop CC.  It appears your current installation have become compromised.  There are several additional instances of this error within the log file you have posted.
If you find that after reinstalling you experience similar errors in the future then please review any system optimizer/utility software which may be affecting the installations of your Adobe software.
I also see additional information that the language files have been removed from your installation.  This is based off information in the log such as the following:
    02/12/14 10:08:13:634 | [INFO] |  | OOBE | DE |  |  |  | 10132 | DW023: The extension payload: Adobe Photoshop CC Chinese (traditional) Language Pack_x64_14.2_AdobePhotoshop14-zh_TW_x64 14.2.0.0 {B04260F0-494D-4A51-95B9-688297494D69} requires a parent with following specification:
         Family: Photoshop
ProductName: Adobe Photoshop CC Chinese (traditional) Language Pack_x64_AdobePhotoshop14-zh_TW_x64
         MinVersion: 0.0.0.0
This parent relationship is not satisfied, because this payload is not present in this session.
This payload will be ignored in this session.
This would also seem to support that a system optimization utility may have been utilized to remove the additional language files.  Previously the removal of these language files alone would prevent updates from being applied.

  • Confusion about shared objects...

    Hi...
I'm building an application using JSP/Servlet technology and I've ecountered some behavior that is not that unexpected, but is something I can't seem to figure out how to get around.
I've been using two reference manuals over the last year, to learn JSP/Servlet development and I'm not sure that either one of them, do a very good job of explaining how to avoid the problem I'm seeing. (Or maybe they do, but I'm just too dense to figure it out.)
    Both are O'Reilly manuals:
Java Servlet Programming - Jason Humber with William Crawford
Java Server Pages - Hans Bergsten
Anyway, I've tried to model my application using a MVC approach.
My controller servlet UserCtl.java is small and routes requests as a controller should.
My business logic is in a bean. UserBean.java This object has properties that represent the fields from my UserMaster table and corresponding setter/gettter methods. It also has methods to retrieve an individual user record, insert a record, update a record, delete a record and retrieve a list of records.
The scenario I'm experiencing is as follows:
I bring up my application in the browser on two different PC's.
I display the user list on each PC.
    Now...
On each PC, I simultaneously click the Update User, selecting user 1 on pc 1 and user 2 on pc 2.
My application then, creates a record in a lock file, for each user record. This seems to work properly, even during the simultaneous click.
    However...
When the update form is subseqently displayed, I have a situation where the form on each of the 2 pc's contains the same data.
I can verify that 2 different lock records were created, indicating that I did not click the same user by accident, however, the data in the form is clearly for only one of the users.
I've read the sections over and over and I feel like I understand their comments on concurrency and how the condition I'm seeing could occur, however, I've tried many things to overcome this and nothing seems to work.
Originally, I opened my JDBC database connection at the servlet level. I've subsequently tried doing it when I create the bean in the controller and subsequent to that, creating the connection object within the method that retrieves the user data inside the bean.
I've tried moving all my code into functions, so that any bean variables would be localized.
I've creating a bean from the JSP session bean object and then retrieving the record, and putting the bean back into the session object before moving to the update page.
Note... I've also enclosed my record retrieval code within a synchronize block.
I'm at a complete loss here. Nothing I do seems to work and I can consistently recreate this condition. Obviously, I can't move forward until I find out how to do this properly.
I'm disappointed in the Java Server Pages book, because the author encapsulated/wrapped all of his database i/o into his own database management routines.
This is a terrible practice for an author to perform. I understand the concept of why you would do that, however, it complicates learning the fundamentals first. I say show us how to do it the long way first, then show us how to improve on the implementation. Don't confuse an already complicated process with your own home-grown methodology.
Anyway... I digress. Can anybody give me any pointers or recommend a good book or web based example, that can show me how to overcome the issue I am encountering? My implementation is a straightforward, simple, approach. I am trying to grasp how this stuff works, without adding in all the extra stuff like tag libraries and XSLT, etc.
I just need to understand how to write a simple thread-safe application. I'll tackle the other stuff later. Oh... by the way... I have built the simple samples that overcome servlet class level counters that show the result differences between global variables at the servlet instance level versus reporting back localized variable values. I think that JDBC database access and/or bean creation, is more complex than that and that's where my problem is.
Any comments, pointers, references to simple samples, will be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Brett

You do not need a shared files system - that is just for
convenience. You do need to have identical directory stuctures
for all instances in the cluster.

  • Calling shared objects in unix from Forms 6i and 10g

I would like to know how to call shared objects in unix from Froms 6i and 10g. Can anybody help in this regard? Your help is very well appreciated.

    Hi,
Do you have any 11i instance where those custom forms are used? If yes, you will have to copy those forms from 11i to R12 instance, open the forms using Forms 10g builder, compile it and upload it back to the server.

  • Error 0(Native: listNetInterfaces:[3]) and error while loading shared libraries: libpthread.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

    Hi Gurus,
I'm trying to upgrade my test 9.2.0.8 rac to 10.1 rac. I cannot upgrade to 10.2 because of RAM limitations on my test RAC. 10.1 Clusterware software was successfully installed and the daemons are up with OCR and voting disk created. Then during the installation of RAC software at the end, root.sh needs to be run. When I run root.sh, it gave the error: while loading shared libraries: libpthread.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory. I have libpthread.so.0 in /lib. I looked up on metalink and found Doc ID: 414163.1 . I unset the LD_ASSUME_KERNEL in vipca (unsetting of LD_ASSUME_KERNEL was not required in srvctl because there was no LD_ASSUME_KERNEL in srvctl). Then I tried to run vipca manually. I receive the following error: Error 0(Native: listNetInterfaces:[3]). I'm able to see xclock and xeyes. So its not a problem with x.

    My questions are:
should ping on sunny1vip and sunny2vip be already working? As of now they dont work.
if you look at oifcfg getif, I initially had eth1 10.0.0.0 global cluster_interconnect,eth0 192.168.2.0 global public then I created eth1 10.1.1.0 global cluster_interconnect with setif. Should it be 10.1.1.0 or 10.0.0.0. I looked at the subnet calculator and it says for 10.1.1.1, 10.0.0.0 is the subnet. In metalink they had used 10.10.10.0 and hence I used 10.1.1.0
Any ideas on resolving this issue would be very much appreciated. I had been searching on oracle forums, google, metalink but all of them refer to DOC Id 414163.1 but it does n't seem to work. Please help. Thanks in advance.

Under installed products, I see 9i home, 10g home, crs home. Under 10g home and crs home, I see cluster nodes(sunny1pub and sunny2pub) So it looks like the 10g software is installed.

  • Shared object and different application servers - how to resolve this issue

    Dear SDN Members,
We are occuring a big problem. We create a shared object in a program and after we call in an another one. In central system architecture, it is working well. But on a distributed architecture (4 application servers), we have a dump some times. In fact, the read of the shared object can be occured in the AS 4 but the share object has been created in AS1.
How to manage this problem to avoid this dump ?
Dupplicate the shared object in the application servers ?
Encapsulate different calls with RFC link to only one AS ?
Any parameters on server or share objects ?
Thanks a lot for your help,
Points will be given to right or good answers.
    Br,
    Aurélien

What is the dump you are getting ?
AFAIK, "Shared Memory"(SHM) is an area defined in the app server. I am not sure if you can access SHM of a different app server (as in your case trying to access SHM of AS1 from AS4). [http://help.sap.com/abapdocu_70/en/ABENSHARED_MEMORY_GLOSRY.htm]
In this case you can opt for "DataBase Clusters". Relevant ABAP statements: [IMPORT|http://help.sap.com/abapdocu_70/en/ABAPIMPORT_MEDIUM.htm#!ABAP_ALTERNATIVE_4@4@]/[EXPORT|http://help.sap.com/abapdocu_70/en/ABAPEXPORT_DATA_CLUSTER_MEDIUM.htm#!ABAP_ALTERNATIVE_4@4@] FROM/TO DATABASE.
    Hope this helps.

  • SHMA - Shared Objects

    hi folks,
we're using shared objects and are wondering how it could be easily achieved to build the "sharded objects" automatically on ALL !!!! application-server, or do we have to start the build-programs per each server manually ????
    kind regards,
    oliver

    Hi,
why don't you use an RFC enabled FM?
You should create many Shared Memory Areas as you need on every application server, and then call up the FM remotely, distributing the call on each server.
After all, the FM implementation should contain the preloading for burn up the shared memory automaitically at read-request and that's all..
Imagine, you can create the FM with a generic table parameter, which you will pass to the root object of every shared memory to fill a class-attribute.
This will be the same in every application server who responses to the RFC call: you start the FM on an the application server XX1 and this will distribute the call to the AS XX2, XX3 and XXX, passing the same internal table. Every FM contains the implementation to set an attribute "TABLE" of every class set up as root object for an area instance.
Obviously, every call on one AS will refresh (or create new versions of) shared objects in all the AS linked with the RFC, to ensure data will be equals all the time.
    Hope this helps,
    R.

  • Director Flash 8 xtra breaks shared object and onSync

This one has driven me insane for days, but at least now I
know what the problem is. It's really a Director-Flash8 xtra-FMS
problem, but I figure the best chance for a solution is posting it
    here.
The problem is this: The Director Flash 8 xtra update messes
up remote shared object connections to FMS applications. The
Management Console debugger does not show any SO properties ("no
data"), and only the "clear" onSync event fires. The old Flash 7
xtra worked/works fine. To illustrate, I've tested the following
code in the Director message window with both the v8 and v7 xtra
(if you know Actionscript and not Lingo, it's still easy to figure
out what happens here). It basically creates and connects a remote
    shared object on FMS:
    rrr = newObject("SharedObject")
    nnn = newObject("NetConnection")
sss = "rtmp:/apptest01" -- app on locally running FMS
    er = nnn.connect(sss)
    put er
    -- 1
    fff = rrr.getRemote("tester", nnn.uri, true)
    put fff
    -- <flash object>
    er = fff.connect(nnn)
    put er
    --1
-- so it's all good until here. onSync callback works with
    "clear", etc, but...
    fff.data.foo = 55.5
    put fff.data.foo
-- 55.5... but only shows in Mgmt Console when using the v7
    xtra...
-- when using the old flash7 xtra,
-- debugging the FMS app and onSync events works correctly,
-- but when using flash8 xtra,
-- debugging the FMS app shows "no data" for this shared
object. foo = 55.5 should be there.
-- also, onSync events no longer fire after the initial
    "clear".
If I translated this into actionscript and ran it in Flash 8
vs Flash 7, etc, would I get the same problem? I'll try that next,
but it took me a while to get this far. Is it simply a matter of
permission or firewall setting? Or is it something just broken with
    the Director flash 8 xtra?
    Thanks

As of just last week, Adobe can replicate the problem and is
    "working on it". I don't anticipate a shockwave-flash-xtra update
to come out of this, but perhaps they can identify some other
work-around. If you can avoid using "success" onSync events and
don't need shared object debugging, then FMS works with
Director/Flash 8 xtra... but this may be a symptom of yet more bugs
    that I haven't seen.
I'm stopping development on my FMS/Director project until
this is resolved... I may need to crack open the old Multi User
    xtra.

  • Shared Objects, iCloud, and inApp Purchasing

    Here is the scenario:
All game data is saved in a Local Shared Object. This includes game un-locks and items that the user has purchased using in-app purchaes.
Will the player be able to down load this shared object from the cloud if they play the game on another device?  Does Apple require in-app purchased 'items' to be stored in  a special way?  I've read some people having issues with Shared Objects in the past, so I'm curious on what the current 'best practices' are.
    Thanks,
    -dis

    Dis, Hi.
If you want to use non-consumable IN APP PURCHASE - you don't need use any saving for restoring on other devices.
Non-consumable it's products, that you can buy once. For unlock for example from LITE to FULL version. Than you can save it as Local Shared Object.
When you will buy it again - APP STORE will not get money again but will return product as Buyed (as new) and you will see it as 'restored'.
App Store don't provide any downloads. It's return only JSON parameters like 'restored', 'purchased' and etc. All rest you do on your device

So, I need a straight answer. Can I use Shared Objects for my game, or will apple fail me for using them?  Will Shared Objects be backed up with iCloud?
    Thanks,
    diss.

    Boat,
From what I have found if your IPA/APK/SWF is the same name then shared objects data should retain.
So if version 1 of your app was
AppleApp.ipa published from a swf by the name of AppleApp.swf
then when you update on your final publish save your swf and .ipa under the same name
    Dont do this
    First version is
    AppleAppV1.swf published out to AppleApp.ipa
Second version is AppleAppV2.swf published out to AppleApp.ipa
The swf is what the shared object is associated with so keep that the same from update to update.

  • Shared Objects: How to store and read multiple instances

    Hi,
Can we store multiple instances of Shared Objects in memory and read the desired instance.
    e.g
If i execute the below program twice then also it will create only a single instance in the memory.
Can we create a memory object with a key and then read the instance with the object with key
data: handle type ref to ZCL_SHM_AREA_XX,
          root   type ref to ZCL_SHM_AREA_ROOT_XX.
    handle = ZCL_SHM_AREA_XX=>attach_for_write( ).
create object root AREA HANDLE handle.
    root->FORM = 'Termination'.
    handle->set_root( root ).
    handle->detach_commit( ).

  • FMS Remote Shared Objects and PHP

Is there a way to access remote shared objects from PHP ?
I've created an a/v chat application, once a user is connected to it, it creates a remote shared object that indicates that the user is online. I want to find out if a shared object exists via PHP to let other users, who are not connected to the flash application, know what's the user's status.
    Thanks!

All the things you want to do are typical Shared Object's functionalities. I've already created a couple of huge projects myself using Shared Objects functionalities, so I can say with the full responsibility that all the things you want to do can be done very easily using those classes.
Basicaly, if you want to build your app using SO, there are few options available for you on the market. First, and the best I guess, will be Adobe's Flash Media Interactive Server. It's only disadventage is, that it's quite expensive - but it's worth it's price, believe me.
If you don't want to pay for it, you can also use a free and open source Red5 server. If it's only the "text-chat based" functionality you want to implement, with a typical video streaming, this one should be enough for you. Although, there could be some problems waiting for you if you wanted to create a full video-chat based application. Take a look at the FMS vs Red5 comparision, which maybe will help you decide - http://www.riafreaks.com/. On the first page of this URL there will be an article I'm talking about covering this topic, as well as a sample guide on how to connect FMS to PHP code, which will let you work with any database you want.
To be honest, if I understood your problem correctly, than Red5 should be enough for you. It works great with Shared Objects, it's free, and it gives you the whole Java API server side - so you can connect to the database very easily. And it also let's you create and manage Shared Objects client side, as well as server side. Although, believe me that even if you're not a Java developer yourself, you won't have to write even a single line of server side code. You can create, update and destroy Shared Objects using only your Flex clients - it'll suite all your needs in the context you've written.
