Although i delete an imessage it keeps the time the imessage was sent

in ios 8 imessage when you delete an individual msg it the application keeps the time of the deleted message and does not sort the list accordingly

Hi,
I take it you have Messages set to organise the List by Time and not Manually ?
And are you saying that new iMessages or IMs are not moving other conversations or chats to the top of the list ?

  • I purchased (and have now deleted Aperture from my computer and want to use only iPhoto.  How do I delete Aperture albums but keep the pics in iPhoto?

I purchased (and have now deleted) Aperture from my computer and want to use only iPhoto.  (Aperture was simply too much program for me.)  How do I delete Aperture albums but keep the pics in iPhoto?  Please accept my apologies in advance if this is a dumber than dumb question.  I simply want all vestiges of Aperture to go away with losing all my albums.  Any help would be appreciated!

Aperture added  a second view to your library.
You now have an additional section in your Source list , called events. But this section lists exactly the same events that you are seeing in the "Events" view. Don't delete anything from there, or you will delete your photos. But you can press the "Hide" button to collaps that section. But someday you may want to use this list. It makes it very easy to move photos between events.

  • Reply with the same address the message was sent to

    Hi guys,
Sorry in advance for my bad english.
I am using a Gmail account which fetching multiple mail from multiple e-mail account.
On web-app desktop Gmail I set up the option "Reply with the same address the message was sent to".
Nevermind I know that has no impact of the behaviour of built-in mail app on iPhone.
Please would you know how to reply as default setting, directly from the e-mail account which receive first my e-mail not by using the field selector "From :" (I would like this field select automatically the right e-mail account).
For information I set up the other smtp server which I would like to use (Config> Mail, Contacts, Calendars > XXX (account) > Account > (Outgoing Mail Server) SMTP > The other SMTP Servers are all on "On").
Many thanks in advance for your helpful answers.

  • Acknowledgement not possible though the message was sent successfully

    Hello Everyone,
I have the following scenario below.
    Sender = R/3
Interface = IDoc - stored procedure
    Receiver = JDBC Adapter
I need 2 kind of acknowledgements.
    1. If the message got an mapping error in XI/PI we need to send "any kind of ack" back to the R/3 to inform the Team that something happens during the mapping.
I do get a ALEAUD success message when a IDOC is sent to PI .
    2. If everything is ok and the message was sent to the MSSQL- I gett an error like "Acknowledgement not possible". AnywayIi don´t need a ack if mapping in XI/PI is successful as it is a asynchronous scenario.
I think it is trying to send back an ack because i have a receiver IDOC channel defined for the R/3 receiver.
How can I get rid of this Acknowledgement not possible  information ?
    Thank you ,
    Teresa

  • HT1040 book is fine in preview and there was confirmation that the book was sent, but apple saying there are errors

i have done a number of books successfully in aperture 3.
I have done a book using instagram photoes.
I have previewed the book in PDF and there are no errors.
I sent the book off, with a confirmation fro apple that the book was sent.
Then i get an email saying:
    Dear Apple customer,
It appears that when your order was submitted to Apple, an error caused the image file to be unreadable or unprintable. As a result, Apple is unable to process your order and you will not be charged.
We recommend previewing your print product and placing the order again. For instructions on how to preview your order, refer to the article below.
How to preview an order in iPhoto or Aperture: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1040
We appreciate your business and apologize for any inconvenience.

    question:
Does the file size of the book matter?
Does color format matter e.g. RGB etc

    Things that may prevent printing:
Default text or default images, for example missing  background photos or captions
Non-standard fonts - did you use any non-Apple  fonts or font sizes?
Low resolution - did any yellow low-resolution warning triangles show? In that case move the image in question to smaller photo boxes or replace them by versions with a higher resolution.
Corrupted image files or non-standard image file formats.
If the preview is o.k. without any warning, try again. Maybe it was just a transmission error.

ePrint Error  The email was sent to multiple printers or recipients, (It was not)
    Using new HP Photosmart 5510

You can get this error is you have more than the printer email in the "To" field or any entries in the "CC" field of the email.  If that is not the case, you can try these troubleshooting steps:

  • When replying to a message in Apple Mail it does not use the address to which the original was sent

I use Apple Mail with Mountain Lion (10.8.2). When I reply to an email it does not, as it used to do, use the email address to which the email was sent. Nor does it use my nominated email address fro creating emails. (It simply selects the first address in my account list (iCloud) and I am unable to change the list order and in any case this is not a solution.)
I cannot find a setting to have replies sent from the address I received it in.
    Bruce

Here we go. The problem is how the sender replied to a message then sent to you. He/she inserted the reply above the quoted text, and added a sig delimiter '-- '.
When you reply to the message you received, TB treats everything below the sig delimiter as signature, and cuts it off. This is the intended behavior.
    http://email.about.com/od/emailsignaturenetiquette/qt/Use_the_Standard_Email_Signature_Delimiter.htm
So ideally the reply should be inserted below the quoted text. Since this is beyond your control, use 'Forward' instead of 'Reply' as a workaround.
You'll then need to add the recipients manually in the 'To' field.

  • HT203524 I just received a suspicious email requesting information about my checking account. The email was sent from my mac email account. Was my email hacked and how do I fix it?

just received a suspicious email requesting information about my checking account. The email was sent from my mac email account. Was my email hacked and how do I fix it?

Sound like a pfishing email rather than your account being hacked.  See http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4933.

  • New Apple Mail - When replying to an email, it doesn't maintain the same account that the email was sent to

I just upgraded to Mountain Lion. I have 5 different pop accounts in Apple Mail. It used to be that when I replied to a message that was sent to account 4, it would default the reply-from to be account 4. Now, whenever I hit reply, the default sender is account 1... the one that is chosen in preferences under Composing > Send new messages from:...
How do I get it to always reply from the account to which the email was sent?

At time I am not going to try to answer for two reasons.  The latest version of Mountain Lion is 10.8.2 and that will update your Apple Mail to Version 6.1 (1498). I hope this is very helpful for you?

  • Send email messages from same address to which the email was sent?

I have multiple email accounts set up on my iPhone, including one Work and one Personal account. I'd like for the iPhone to automatically reply to a message using the same account to which the email was sent (e.g., if someone emails me at my Personal address, the iPhone replies using that address) but I can't figure out how to do it. Right now, it's just sending everything using my default (Work) account.
    Anyone know if it's possible?

    Hello all,
I'm having the same problem; I've recently upgraded to the iPhone4 and I have two mail accounts on it: 1.) My personal gmail account and 2.) my work email which is using the imap version of google apps (it has our unique domain name instead of "@gmail.com") -
So now, whenever I try to send an email from my work email it is delivered as though it was sent from my personal gmail account... +that's even if I choose to change the "from" field- in the drop down scroll menu+ ... I can see both account names and even if I choose my work email it is still delivered as from my personal - the only difference being that if I manually choose to "send it" from my work email a copy of the sent email is then delivered to my work inbox - yet it still lists the sender as my personal gmail account.
This is very frustrating... My old 3g never had this problem so I am stumped as to what's causing this.
I apologize if my way of explaining this was overly confusing... but thank you in advance for any help!

  • HT1751 How can I delete a book, but keep the notes and highlights in case I re-load it later?

I won't be able to keep all my books on my iPad. I don't want to lose my highlights and notes. How to I save them for use when I later reload the book?

One way to delete a book is to select it, choose Edit from the menu and Delete.

  • HT3529 New 7.0 version update changes the way text messages are presented.  In the new version, I cannot figure out how to delete individual texts.  I can delete entire strings of messages, but I want to delete old texts, but keep the recent texts

The new version of the software for my iPhone 4 changed the way text messages are managed.
I can no longer delete individual texts from a text "conversation."  I also have not figured out how to forward texts, which I was able to do in the prior version.
Anyone know a way to edit out individual messages without losing the entire string?
Anyone know if there is a way to forward messages?

When you have the conversation open, if you tap & hold on a message bubble, you should get a new menu pop-up.  It should have 2 options "Copy" and "More..."  If you select the "More..." option it will then let you select one or more message bubbles and delete the selected ones by hitting the trach can icon in the lower left corner.  As for forwarding, you probably just select the "Copy" option, then paste the contents into a new message...

  • I deleted my old Email account because I wanted to create a new one, and I did. However, when ever I send an Email from the Mail app on my laptop it says the Email was sent from my old Email and I just can not get rid of it.

I deleted my old Email and only used my new Email to set up the Mail app on my laptop. And the old Email is completely dead, hotmail.com says the Email no longer excists when I try to sign back in to it however my Emails remain saying 'Sent from Jordan [*old Email*].
    I can't find a solution!!

If you are unable to remember your password, security questions, don’t have access to your rescue address or are unable to reset your password for whatever reason, your only option is to contact AppleCare(or Apple ID Support), upon speaking to an operator you should explain that your problem is related to your Apple ID, this way you will not be charged for assistance, even if you don’t have an AppleCare plan.
The operator will take you through some steps you may have already tried, however they need to be sure they have exhausted all usual approaches before trying to reset your account, so you should try to be helpful and show patience with the procedure.
The operator will need to verify they are speaking to the account holder and may ask you some questions that only the account holder could know, and you will need to answer them if the process is to proceed.
Once the operator has verified your identity they will send a message through to your device which contains an alpha numeric code, which you will need to read back to them.
Once this has been completed they will send an email to your iCloud email address after a period of 24 hours, so you should check that mail is enabled in your devices iCloud settings.
Upon receipt of the email, use the reset link provided to reset your password, after which you should be able to make the adjustments to iCloud that you wish to do.
