Although I purchased an audiobook directly from iTunes I cannot get it onto my 4th gen. shuffle. Any advice?

I just purchased an audiobook from itunes and I cannot get it on my ipod shuffle 4th gen. I can get music on it just fine and i have the newest versions of my ipod's software and of itunes. Any help is appreciated.

Thank you for the advice. I attempted this but found that when i selected my ipod from the device list i only had the option to autofill from a certain tab. I tried to use the recently added tab which contained exactly the audiobook and songs i wanted but the shuffle would not accept the audiobook. The itunes warning message claims i am unauthorized for the audiobook on my computer, however, i am signed into my own computer and itunes accounts (on which i purchased the audiobook)...

I go into the "Home Videos" sections and drag the video that I want so that the bar comes up, move it over to the device and let go. All that happens is it flashes a few times and then nothing. No error or anything.

How do I load a playlist onto my 4th gen shuffle using itunes 11?

I have a 4th generation shuffle, and just installed itunes 11.
It's ludicrous that the shuffle doesn't allow you to reorder your music (or in my case audiobooks) manually, or even to resort by album/disc/track #.
Even so, at least in iTunes 10 you could easily load a playlist onto it.
WIth the new iTunes, that process has become less obvious.
Is there a way to load a playlist onto the 4th generation shuffle using iTunes 11? Alternatively, is there a way to reorder the music on the shuffle manually or by sorting in iTunes? Is there some other trick to be able to list to my audiobook in order without renaming the 500 tracks it's divided into?
Note to Apple: This really shouldn't be that hard.

The "easiest" way to do this is to enable voiceover & sync your ipod to whichever playlist you want. When it's syncd, go to the summary tab & check Manually manage music, then apply & sync. After ejecting the ipod, turn it on. The songs will still be out of order, but press & hold the voiceover button. First it'll say "all music", then when it says the name of your playlist, release the voiceover button & press play. The songs should be in the order you want them to be.

Try to download them in iTunes on your computer. Connect your iPad to your computer and launch iTunes. Click on your iPad name on the left side of iTunes and then from the menu at the top of the screen go to Store>Check for Available Downloads. You should be taken to another screen where the incomplete downloads can finish and then you can sync them to your iPad.

I have rented a movie from iTunes, but cannot get it to play

The film has downloaded, and on the picture of the film title, there is the word "play" with an arrow. When I click on the word play, nothing happens. I have iTunes 10.5, and iTunes has been happy as a clam, and I can listen to music and audio books...but I cannot play this film!
I appreciate any advice anyone can give!

Should be under Library>Movies. Try searching for it in the Movie section.

It was hacked/jailbroken to unoffiically unlock it. It has now locked back to the original carrier. Call AppleCare and give them the model and serial number of the iphone and find out who it is locked with. Then contact that cell carrier and see what their official unlock policy is and if you qualify.

Itunes won't recognize my ipod nano 4th gen (or any other ipod) as a device

i've had my ipod nano 4th gen for as long as 4th gen's have been around. never had a problem with it or itunes. until now. all of a sudden, when i plug my ipod in to sync the new music purchased, itunes doesn't even recognize my ipod. "devices" never even comes up. "sync ipod" under file isn't highlighted. my ipod only shows as charging. since this problem occurred, i've tried my husband's ipod and it isn't recognized. i've used numerous cords in both USB ports. i've uninstalled and reinstalled itunes. nothing is working! any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!!!

Have you double checked to make sure these Audiobooks are configured to sync to your iPod from under the iPod's Books configuration tab in iTunes? This is assuming that the audiobooks are already stored in your iTunes library and appear under the Books category.
To access this configuration tab, plug in your iPod and select it from under the Devices section in the left hand pane of iTunes to bring yourself to the iPod's Summary tab. Now locate the Books tab across the top in the main iTunes window and select it. Here you can configure what and how audiobooks are synced to the device.
If you make any changes to this tab, make sure to hit the Apply button on in the lower right hand corner. This will sync the updated changes to your device.

Purchased music off iTouch from iTunes... Disappeared?

I just recently reset my iTouch and erased everything on it to restore it and fix all of my music information (albums, titles, etc...) because everything was scrambled and uncategorized and what not... I have purchased music from iTunes using my iTouch and now all of those songs I bought are gone. I understand that purchasing the music directly from the iTouch downloads the songs onto the iTouch harddrive so they obviously got erased when I reset it. I figured theres got to be a way to get my songs I bought back from iTunes but I have no idea what to do??? If anyone has had this problem or can help me out I would really appreciate any help at all! Thanks alot.

go to your account in the itunes store, you should find your purchase history there. next to the songs you have purchased there should be a 'report problem' button, which will allow you to contact apple. they normally respond pretty quickly saying that your purchases will be available to download next time you log in to itunes.

You can. Why do you think you cannot?
If you purchased it on your ipad, then you would have to transfer it to your computer. File>Devices>Transfer Purchases.
You can then listen to it on your computer.

What happens when you try to play it in your iTunes library? Does it appear under the audibooks section?
Is your iPod configured to sync audiobooks from under its Audiobooks configuration tab? To find this tab, plug your iPod in and click on it under the Devices section in the left hand pane of iTunes. This should bring you to the Summary tab. From there, look for the Audibooks tab and make the appropriate configurations to get it over to your iPod.

My ipad is struggling to download purchased or rental movies from itunes, both directly or from icloud. It has resulted in over 80GB of data been used up in a day! Help

I first had this problem a week ago, when I tried to download a movie from icloud onto my ipad. Over night 80GB had been used. From memory the message read 'Cannot downloaod this movie now'. Then last night I downloaded a rental directly from itunes onto the ipad. I was able to watch the movie last night, but did not finish it. Today my internet provider again alerted me that 70 GB had been used. So I thought i would see if the movie was still available and similiar message appeared. So to try to stop the rest of my data disappearing I have reset ipad to factory defaults and reset network. Now I am too scared to ever watch a movie with itunes again. Which is stupid as the only reason I bought the ipad over a samsung is for itunes movies. Please help. Is this a common problem, why is this happening and will I ever be able to watch a movie on the ipad?

I understand that you are not able to sync a few songs you purchased from iTunes to your iPhone and other devices. There may be an issue with the file, but if you have the Apple ID and password used to purchase the songs, you can redownload them. You can even download the song directly to your iPhone. I found an article that will give you steps to do this on your computer and on your iPhone:
