ALV: Color cells in subtotals. Is it possible?

Hi,
I have an ALV-report which initially shows subtotals only. The users want to see specific colors in specific cells of the subtotals if possible.

Step1: define you internal table like below

  • Problem with coloring cells in dynamic fieldcatalog

    I am trying to color cells based on the values in the cells. Here we are using dynamic fieldcatalog and internal table to build the ALV grid.I am getting problem in adding a field to the fieldcatlog which is of type lvc_t_scol. This Part of the code is used to build fieldcatlog dynamically.

    Here i want to assign internal table(lvc_t_scol) to the fieldcatalog as a field.But  lwa_fldcat-inttype is of size 1 which will take one char. Is there any way that we can assign field of type internal table to the field catalog. Becoz of this i am unable to color cells in my ALV grid.

    It is not possible with the METHOD cl_alv_table_create=>create_dynamic_table to include another table inside that newly generated table.
    I have tried to do it with the code and I got the dynamic table created after at the end of the program.

  • Custom message(low stock) on alv layout cell(plng folder)

    hi friends,
    in plng folder(alv layout), can system displays message dynamically on a particular cell(row & col combination). eg: "low stock" via fox code. Simply i 'm deriving one cell value based on fox code (formula).  If stock > 0, show stock value, else in that cell i want "low stock".
    In excel , this facility is availble using "IF', formula on particular cell.

    what you could do is:
    - define a new calculated keyfigure which takes the stock value if it is > 0 and the value 0 in all other cases.
    - define your query setting View->Properties->Value Display->Zero value display->show zero values to "low stock".
    This has a similar effect. All value which are 0 in the query are displayed as text "low stock". Another option to highlight "low stock" material would be using exceptions.
    Maybe this fulfills your requierement. Binding messages raised in planning function to certain cells in excel is not possible.

    Now, requirement is "values with in the colored cell should also have the same color as the cell".
    i.e. If cells are gray colored then values of these particular cells should also be in gray color.

    I understand that the ALV grid color codes consists of the following format:

    Is there any way to display color other than the above? I need a dark grey color (the color when the grid is set to not editable). Is there anywhere to do that? The intensity option is not helping much.

      I want to make the contents of 2 columns of my alv grid as push button with values as text on it. I am not using classes or methods but alv grid fm.   • Multiple Lines in a Single ALV Grid Cell

    Is there any way to Display Multiple Lines in a Single ALV Grid Cell.
    This can be accomplished by Sorting the First 3 fields and Make it Looks like below displayed format.
    But My problem is while downloading also it should be Displayed in the same format.
    All inputs are highly appreciated.

    arrange ur final internal table so that it will look like same line...
    like...lets say ur internal table is :

    and u can rearrange ur table to be like
    A1 B1 C1 D1 123
          C2 D2 123
    A1 B2 C1 D1 123
          C2 D2 123
    what i mean to say is dont pass the fields if they are same in the previous line... try it out..
    and then pass it two ur ALV.
    it will look like they are in one line

  • Buttons in ALV Grid cell need focus to be clicked :-(

    Hi,
    I have an ALV Grid with single cells displayed as buttons (dependend on the data in the corresponding row). Unfortunatelly the button-cells need focus to be clicked. So you need two clicks: one to get the focus to the desired cell and one to really click the button.
    Any ideas how to make this work with one single click ? (Setting a hotspot does not work, cause hotspots have the same problem.)

  • Colored Cells in Excel sheet

    we have a excel sheet with values which we created based on a tutorial spreadsheet. We tried the exactly the same steps provided in the PDF but it did not work. however when we used the original file we got the same output that was shown in the PDF screenshot. Here is what we tried.
    we created a spreadsheet similar to the one given below

    In the canvas we placed a spreadsheet table control which contained the city names , a line chart and 2 gauges for HIGH and LOW values.
    Now the problem we faced was when we click on the city name in the table control nothing changed in the chart even though it was mapped to the correct cells.
    In the original file that came with the PDF there were YELLOW and RED blank cells to which it asked to map but those cells didnot contain any hidden data also. We would like to know is there any significance of those colored cells. whenever we download some sample excel file from the internet for a dashboard creation it has some colored cells, we would like to know does those cells contain any hidden info to make the dashboard work.

    Most of the times, colored cells are used by the dashboard's designer to represent cells that are used at run time as origin/destination cells. This means that although at design time they are empty (they indeed are - there is no "hidden" data there), they contain data when the dashboard is executed.
    Some suggestions:
    - Check the component's properties to see which cells it uses.
    - Also, when in Preview, go to File -> Snapshot -> Current Excel Data to see what the Excel file actually looks like at run time. There you should see data in the colored cells.

    Hi,
    You can use function module "XXL_SIMPLE_API"
    or alternatively use "XXL_FULL_API".
    On the import, parameter name "N_KEY_COLS" is used to colour fields. The headings are automatically coloured. 1 is the default value.
