Hi,
try to contact your BASIS to attach the layout of X_65_255 to the Printer(which is Defalut for you).
65lines,255 line-size. then it will be Landscape format.

  • Stuck on landscape printing...

    Hi - I'm a relative newcomer to Mac (but a very happy one) - for some reason I'm defaulting to landscape printing for all of my printers and can't find where to change it - can anyone help please

    you could try this. bring up the print dialouge box by printing something but don't click print. you will see option in the drop down menus for landscape in there. Set your preferred choice and in tghe presets drop down menu, save. that may do it. other wise you could go a bit deeper and delete all printing prefs and re-setup your printers

  • Alv List  print printer information in 1st page

    Hi,
    At the time of alv list printing the following information is printed on 1st page. How to avoid this information when printing.
    INITSTRING
    Start r_3-Prolog
    Drucker :  Wipro EX-330+DX
    System :   RAP (reprdfo)
    User :        11BO
    End  r_3-Prolog
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi GoldMoon,
    (edit) Print another basic ABAP list (print anything else) on the same printer to see if that first page is printed. If yes, it's probably either SAP, OS, or Print Server cover page. They are explained in "cover page" SDN wiki, there are explanations how the cover page can be output (and so you can deduce how to remove it).
    Best regards,

  • Landscape print

    Hi,
    We have a requirement to print information in a table manner which requires us to do Landscape prints (as portrait will not hold the information with correct alignment)
    We are using default Arial font and just updated the "Orientation" to say "Lanscape" for all relevant sections for the print. We are able to generate the PDF correctly, also when I try generate a metacode file using BARR2VB utility (with printtype XER) it generates fine. But when I view it though Print Analyzer the PMODE still says "Portrait" and the Display at right hand side in the analyzer window also does not look right.
    Please suggest If I need any specific setup to get desired Landscape output ?

    You should be able to use the F2CON8 (Courier 8 point landscape) font. Are you using one of the old base FXR files that used to contain this font (font ID 12008) or did you add it yourself to your FXR file? In the Metacode font properties, you should see FXCON8 as the 0 degrees font, F9CON8 as the 90 degrees font, F1CON8 as the 180 degrees font, and F2CON8 as the 270 degrees font.
    As far as loading fonts on the printer, it would depend on the printer and whether the printer is attached to a network or to a mainframe.
    If you have an older model Xerox printer or one that is attached to a mainframe, you may be able to use the XERDNLD utility. It can be used to convert Xerox fonts into a quasi - print stream that when "printed" will download the font onto the printer. You would need to use the same Xerox printer INI settings that you would normally use when producing metacode output to be printed.
    If you have a fairly modern printer, it may have a network attached server that runs the printer and holds the Xerox resource files including fonts. If so, then you should be able to use an FTP connection to load the fonts onto the server. You would need to check with Xerox for the location where the Xerox fonts are stored but it might be in a directory like
    /opt/XRXnps/resources/lcds/
    or
    /var/spool/XRXnps/resources/lcds/
    Make sure that the font filename (including the .FNT extension) is upper case and note that the directory names are mixed case.
    Xerox should be able to provide you with specific information about loading Xerox fonts onto your printer.

  • Need Landscape printing in Mac OS X

    I see from the release notes for 5.2.3 that landscape printing is not currently working. Any idea when this will work again?

    Trouble printint to a Dell Laser MFP 1815dn.
    Check if the Dell driver is PPC. If it is, and if you installed the first version of Apple's latest Security Update, then that's probably where the issue is, because it broke Rosetta, the software which runs PPC code under SL. Re-install the Sec Update (the problem is fixed in v1.1, which replaced the goofy version on Apple's servers) through Software Update or by downloading it again, then re-install the Dell driver, and try again.
    Apple stuff is great, except for their casual disregard of their customers who want to use any product that is not Apple
    I'm sorry, but that's non-sense. I'm no fan of Apple, but they're no better and no worse than any large corporation of this type. Mostly, they do things which make business sense as they see it -- which is exactly what you'd want, if you had serious money invested in Apple shares -- wouldn't you?
    In this instance, it was up to Dell to release an Intel Mac driver for this printer/scanner, which is, what, 5 or 6 years old? If they didn't, it was probably because they decided it didn't make business sense for them to spend money on developing and testing one. Keep in mind that Dell and Apple and Microsoft and all the rest are in business to make money, not to support every single customer for ever and ever and a day.

  • Photoshop CS6 Landscape Printing not working.  Works fine in CS5.1

    When I select Landscape printing, Photoshop CS6 waitis a moment and then goes back to portrait printing.  And it will not print landscape.  I still have CS5.1 and it works fine.  I'm not sure what to do.

    Yes, I did update to v13.0.1.  It still will only print portrait.
    My printer is an HP Photosmart C309a.  All other programs landscape printing works.  (Microsoft Publisher & Word 2007 for example).
    When I click the landscape icon to change the print settings to print landscape--the program just waitis a few moments and then goes back to the selecting the portrait button.

  • P1505N LANDSCAPE PRINTING

    I am using a P1505N with a UNIX software platform...Trying to set the config to landscape mode in the web based settings screen...When I change format to landscape & 60 lines per page, I then OK the configuration, restart the printer & try to print a job.  The result is infinite blank pages...any ideas....I used this same format with an HP 1022nw in the past without problems.
    Thanks

    No. That's a local printer setting.

  • Landscape Printing Numbers

    I am using Numbers and have set my document to landscape in both the tool bar and the inspector, but it still prints portrait...
    I have updated to latest Numbers, ditched prefs file and still can't print in landscape. I have tried two different printers (Samsung and Aficio).... help.
    I can export to pdf and do it that way, but it's a bit frustrating.
    BTW it all looks fine and appears to be in portrait in print view or preview.

    So printing to pdf works (you get landscape), but printing directly to a printer does not?!?!
    BTW it all looks fine and appears to be in portrait in print view or preview.
    I don't follow you here. Do you mean that when you have it set to landscape, print preview display landscape, but when you print it comes out in portrait?
    To me, this all is very strange since the MacOSX printing architecture essentially is always using PDF (even when printing directly to hardware printer).
    Do other applications on your Mac (say, TextEdit.app, for instance) work correctly in this regard?

  • Landscape print causes images to be

    Hi.
    I am developing the printing portion of a Java-based medical imaging application. I need to be able to print a sheet containing several medical images (usually, grayscale images), with different layouts.
    I am using a code like this to start the print job:
    ===============================
    // Create the Print Job
    PrinterJob printJob = PrinterJob.getPrinterJob();
    // Create my own Printable Manager (implements the Printable interface)
    MyPrintableManager printMan = new MyPrintableManager();
    // Set the print attributes for initialization of print dialog
    PrintRequestAttributeSet aset = new HashPrintRequestAttributeSet();
    aset.add(OrientationRequested.LANDSCAPE);
    aset.add(new Copies(1));
    aset.add(PrintQuality.HIGH);
    aset.add(new JobName("My Job Name", null));
    // Display the print dialog and start printing
    if (printJob.printDialog(aset))
    try
    // Set the Printable interface on the Print Job
    printJob.setPrintable(printMan);
    // Start the Print Job
    printJob.print(aset);
    catch (Exception ex)
    ex.printStackTrace();
    ===============================
    Then, in the class MyPrintableManager, I implemented my printing code in the print() method:
    ===============================
    public int print(Graphics g, PageFormat pf, int pi) throws PrinterException
    // Obtain a Graphics2D object for Java2D functionalities
    Graphics2D g2d = (Graphics2D)g;
    AffineTransform scaleTranslTransform = AffineTransform.getTranslateInstance(imgXOrigin, imgYOrigin);
    scaleTranslTransform.scale(finalScale, finalScale);
    BufferedImage bufImgToPrint = ...;
    g2d.drawRenderedImage(bufImgToPrint, scaleTranslTransform);
    ===============================
    I am facing the following strange behavior: if I choose the "Portrait" orientation in the Print dialog, everything is printed fine.
    On the other hand, when I choose the "Landscape" orientation in the Print dialog, grayscale images are printed "lighter" than what they shall be, as if something had increased the lightness of the grayscale image.
    Can you guess the cause for this strange behavior? Can it be a bug of the Java2D Printing API?
    Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Regards,
    Marco.

    Should anyone be interested, I've assembled a self-contained code sample which demonstrates the problem with landscape printing of grayscale images (they get printed lighter than what they should be, while portrait printing looks fine):
    I've run the code below on Windows XP, JDK 1.5.0_06, and I am getting the problem with landscape printing: maybe some of you may want to make the test on his own PC and tell what happens...

  • Can't get Landscape printing aligned correctly...

    I'm new to Java and this forum, so any help with the following would be greatly appreciated:
    Description: Incorrect height alignment when printing Landscape.
    Hardware: Power Macintosh 8500/120, 48MB RAM.
    Brother HL-1650 Laser Printer, 8MB RAM.
    Software: Mac OS 8.6.
    MRJ2.2 (JDK1.1.8), MRJSDK2.2, JFC/Swing1.1.1.
    Procedure: 1) Compile BorderDemo.java (see source code below) with javac.
    2) Run BorderDemo with JBindery.
    3) Select "Landscape" printing, then select "Print".
    Results: Incorrect alignment of GridLayout within BorderLayout's Center position.
    The first printed row is incorrect. It is split with 6/8ths in row1, and 2/8ths
    in the last row.
    Expected: The BorderLayout's Center position should print 6 rows and 7 columns of
    8 x 1 TextEdit field items (This is supposed to be a calendar). It should fill
    the 8.5 x 11 piece of paper in Landscape print mode.
    Note: It correctly displays on the computer monitor.
    I've tried lots of combinations of GridLayout, BorderLayout, and BoxLayout, but

    Each time I try to print, my computer wants to default to the landscape printing. I, for the life of me, cannot figure out how to change that setting...among a couple others. Can somone help me out and let me know how you change default printer setting on my MacBook Pro?
    Thank you!!!!

    To change the default Print orientation for Safari (and Preview, Mail, ...)
    1) start TextEdit, or another Apple app that has a "page setup" dialog in the "File" menu
    2) pull down the "File" menu, and open the "page setup" dialog box
    3) change "Orientation" to the one you want as default, example: "portrait"
    4) select "Save as default" in the above "Settings" pop-up menu
    5) select "any printer" in the "Format For" pop-up menu (of course, if you want make the change for all your printers)
    6) click OK and quit TextEdit
    7) quit (if not done yet) and restart the other Apple apps (Safari, Preview ....)
    The default orientation should have changed into the one you have selected and "saved as default" in the TextEdit dialog.
    This has properly worked for me. Good luck.

    and it worked for me!

  • ALV Report printing to A3 format

    Hi
    We have written an ABAP ALV report to extract information from any number of Sales Orders from a given set of criteria. A number of layouts have been created. The layouts have been defined by the business (as they wanted the same format as they were previously used to). The default layout is about 337 columns wide, thus sending it over the 255 A4 limit. I can print the layout on an A4 landscape on 2 sheets of paper, but this is not practical when you have up to 30 pages of content (thus 60 sheets of A4 paper).
    As such, I am experimenting with printing to A3. This is what I have tried so far (from information gleaned from Forum posts and elsewhere):
    Created a new Page Type (used template DINA3 to create ZDINA3.
    Created a new Format Type (e.g. Z_65_400_A3) and use ZDINA3 with 65 rows and 400 columns.
    Assigned this new Format Type to a Device Type, in this case, SWIN.
    In the Device Type, I have had to change the List Handler printer driver to "Print driver for SWIN using SAPLPD/Windows", otherwise I end up with 3 lines.
    I have also set the paper size on the printer to A3, but nothing else. Leaving this as A4 results in an A4 print!
    I have set up a number of Escape characters in the Device Type configuration:
    Printer Initialzation
    SAPWIN data stream
    \e%SAPWIN%
    \i<::XPAGES>
    \i<::XPGINIT>
    \i<::XPARAM>
    \i<::XLINEMOD>
    \i<::XFONT>
    End Of Page
    \f
    End of Line
    \n
    XLINEMOD: Line handling
    ##usage: Line handling
    ##DO NOT CHANGE the first two lines!
    output complete line with one call (do not use for proportional fonts)
    \eOa1
    XPARAM: Local settings
    ##usage: Local settings
    ##DO NOT CHANGE the first two lines!
    Schrift 5 Punkt einstellen.
    \eS92X
    #8,5 lpi
    \el8.5;
    XPGINIT: Orientation
    ##usage: Orientation
    ##DO NOT CHANGE the first two lines!
    Landscape-Mode
    \ePL
    I have tried to use the same example as <a href="http://www.sap-img.com/basis/how-can-i-print-a3-format-in-sap.htm">http://www.sap-img.com/basis/how-can-i-print-a3-format-in-sap.htm</a> but although I am getting an A3 sheet of paper, there are still issues with it:
    Portrait instead of Landscape
    Text appears to be double line spaced
    Font is very small (believe this can be resolved by specifying the size of a font)
    Firstly, any tips or tricks on printing to A3?
    Secondly, what is the List Driver checkbox used for on the Format Type (other than to show the portrait and landscape page types)?
    I do tend to scan these forums before posting, but in this case I have not managed to resolve this by looking in the Forum or elsewhere.
    Many thanks
    Nick

    Hi
    Due to getting no joy with this, I ended up creating an A3 Smartform and using a Windows printer capable of printing it. I also have the option of an A4 or A3 sheet in the Selection Screen, so this gives me the output in the format that was needed.
    Defining a Printer Output definition proved too tricky and I had to find a way to do it.
    Whether you can use a Smartform to print your ALV grid across several pages I do not know, but might be worth considering. I used a custom print button to trigger the correct page size (as selected on the Selection Screen).

  • Problem in ALV report printing

    Hi,
    I am facing issue while printing the ALV report. The no. of columns in output are dynamic.
    System is giving the printout for 9 columns . If no. of columns are increasing than its printing only one line with garbage values.
    Can anybody help to fix this issue. We need print of 27 (3 static + 24 dynamic (for 12 months)) columns in one go.
    Thanks in advance,

    Hi
    The font size depends on the format you've choosen for the print.
    The abap list arranges the page as grid: colunmXrow.
    Every colunm of a page means a character.
    If you use the standard format X_65_200, it means you're page is arranged for 65 row and 200 colunm:
    that means the size of a character is optimized to can print 200 chararcter in a A4 page.
    If you use the standard format X_65_132 it means you're page is arranged for 65 row and132 colunm:
    that means the size of a character is optimized to can print 132 chararcter in a A4 page.
    So that mean the size of format X_65_132 will be bigger than X_65_200, because in the same space (page A4) it needs to write 132 char instead of 200.
    If your report print NN char, u should use the format wiith number colunm is closer to NN.
    If there isn't a format or u use the first available format or u create a new one by trx SPAD.

  • ALV Report Print Problem.

    Hi,
    When I Print any ALV Report then In the First Row BackColor is white,
    but in Second it is Gray,and this alternative for all remaining rows,
    How Can I SET it to White For ALL Rows.
    Thx,
    Hitesh Jain.

    Hi Jain,
    I'm not aware of a way to wrap the test or set break points in an ALV report.  Typically I just try to reduce the number of columns to print and determine if the data is truly needed or just redundant.
    To change the font, you need to change the Format setting.  This setting is in the same popup box I described earlier.  This time under General Properties, double click on Format.  Just play around with the different Format options loaded.  If you need additional formats, you should work with your BASIS team because it depends on the Output Devices that are loaded in your system.
    Otherwise, you may just need to export the ALV report into Excel to make it "pretty".  In Excel, you could create a macro to automate your formatting steps.  Just a thought.
    Good luck,
    Cindy
