ALV  OOPS TREE TYPE STRUCTURE

How can I make tree type display in ALV Grid oops concept ..eg.For one company code when we click all line items shld display

For your example you might want lists (ordered children). Otherwise you could use it pretty much as-is:
final Node root = new Node("Pyramids");
final Node node2 = new Node("Built");
final Node node3 = new Node("Giza");
final Node node4 = new Node("3000 years ago");
root.getChildren().add(node2);
node2.getChildren().add(node3);
node2.getChildren().add(node4);(Edit)
Just to clarify, you would build the above tree however you want to, but would only need to retain the reference to the "root" node in order to pass it into search methods.
I should also point out that if you're planning to do a lot of this sort of thing and you're not committed to using Java, you should probably consider using LISP for which this sort of problem is pretty much its raison d'etre.

  • Implementing a tree type structure - how?

    I am fairly sufficient programming in Java, however I have never had the need to use (or learn) ways of implementing tree structures; therefore i'll try and explain carefully what i'm trying to achieve.
    I need a method of grouping a small number of objects (no more than 20) in a logical way. The objects stored in the tree will be of the same class (the actual objects called 'wordObj' are quite basic, they only have 5 String fields).
    The purpose is to represent a sentence of text, where each word is represented as a 'wordObj' object, into "meaningful" clusters.
    For example, given the sentence:
    "The pyramids were built in the egyptian city of Giza, 3000 years ago".
    I want to represent the sentence in the following way:
    ROOT (node 1): "Pyramids"
    CHILD of ROOT (node 2): "Built"
    CHILD of node 2 (node 3): "Giza"
    CHILD of node 2 (node 4): "3000 years ago"
    I have written an algorithm which extracts the information from the sentence so i'm not asking how to that; basically I need to find a way of creating the above tree structure within a single object. So the tree object can be passed between methods and the information held within it can be searched (I.e. get root node, retrieve child objects... etc) and the objects in the leaf nodes retrieved.
    I hope I havent been to vague, any help or urls pointing to a suitable tutorial (which I cannot find) would be appreciated!
    Thanks

  • ALV Simple Tree: How to customize sum levels?

    Hi,
    I have the following issue:
    I use the ALV Simple Tree to display a hierarchy. In this hierarchy one element is the currency of the values I want to display. Therefore the currency might not be the top-level of the hierarchy and as a consequence the tree/table looks like this:
    Region/Curr. | Amount 1 | Currency
    EUROPE       | 2000     | ***
    - EUR       | 1000     | EUR
    - USD       | 1000     | USD
    -> Different currencies are added with no respect to currency rates or the likes. Only the currency field is filled with stars.
    Question: How can I prevent sums for a tree level?
    The hierarchy is flexible, so I require a dynamic solution (for example if there are two levels before the currency or none).
    If anyone got a link to the documentation for the Simple Tree (or something like that), I would also really appreciate it!
    Kind Regards,
    Robert

    In ALV oops,
    1. You need screen on which you must create a custom container. - screen 100
    2. In PBO of 100, create module for displaying ALV
    MODULE DISPLAY_ALV OUTPUT
    PERFORM CREATE_CONTAINER "IN WHICH YOU USE THE CREATE OBJECT METHOD OF CL_GUI_CUSTOM_CONTAINER
    PERFORM CREATE_ALV "IN WHICH YOU USE CREATE_OBJECT METHOD OF CL_GUI_ALV_GRID.
    PERFORM PREPARE_FIELDCAT "creating fcat using LVC_S_FCAT structure
    PERFORM DISPLAY "here you use the SET_TABLE_FOR_FIRST_DISPLAY method of CL_GUI_ALV_GRID class,
    where you provide the internal table name and fieldcat internal table
    ENDMODULE

  • Alv oops raising error message

    Hi,
    iam displaying output using alv oops.
    one of the char field is editable i want to give only numeric values only.i cannot change datatype to numc for that field.if user enters char value(like abc) and click on any button in alv output i want to raise a error message and i want to stop the user in alv report output.
    Regards,
    Suresh

    Hello Suresh
    I assume that the editable field in your ALV list is defined as CHAR type in the underlying table (structure). In order to prevent non-numeric entries I would use the following approach:
    Define additional column for your ALV list, e.g.:
    TYPES: BEGIN OF ty_s_outtab.
      INCLUDE type <name of z-table> AS data.
    TYPES:  numfield(4)    TYPE n.  " Assumption: Your editable field is CHAR4, e.g. charfld
    TYPES: END OF ty_s_outtab.
    TYPES: ty_t_outtab  TYPE STANDARD TABLE OF ty_s_outtab WITH DEFAULT KEY.
    DATA: gt_outtab   TYPE ty_t_outtab.  " your itab for ALV list
    Build fieldcatalog automatically and add additional column for NUMFIELD:
    " Call fm LVC_FIELDCATALOG_MERGE with your z-table
      LOOP AT gt_fcat INTO ls_fcat
                                WHERE ( fieldname = <name of editable field> ).
         " Suppress this field
           ls_fcat-tech = 'X'.
           MODIFY gt_fcat FROM ls_fcat INDEX syst-tabix.
        " Modify LS_FCAT to reflect the additional NUMC4 field
          ls_fcat-fieldname = 'NUMFIELD'.
          ls_fcat-rolltype = ...  " change technical details from CHAR4 -> NUMC4
          ls_fcat-edit = 'X'.  " Now the NUMC4 field is editable
          INSERT ls_fcat INTO gt_fcat INDEX syst-tabix.
      ENDLOOP.
    Initial load of outtab: shuffle values from CHAR4 to NUMC4 field
    REFRESH: gt_outtab.
      LOOP AT gt_data INTO ls_data.
        clear: ls_outtab.
        ls_outtab-data = ls_data.
        move ls_data-charfld TO ls_outtab-numfield.
        APPEND ls_outtab TO gt_outtab.
      ENDLOOP.

  • Colour cells in ALV OOPS

    Hi Experts,
    Can any one solve my problem.
    I have displayed (grid display) using ALV OOPS using method (CL_GUI_ALV_GRID=>SET_TABLE_FOR_FIRST_DISPLAY)
    But I want colors should come on the list. Colors should be displayed Cell wise.
    Suppose for example  in the first row fifth column is RED, Then second row fifth column should be other color.
    How to do this.
    Can any one solve this problem.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Kumar

    hi,
      you can change the properties of the cell ie colors.
    Coloring Individual Cells
    This is the last point about coloring procedures for the ALV Grid. The procedure is similar to coloring an entire row. However, since an individual cell can be addressed with two parameters we will need something more. What is meant by u201Cmoreu201D is a table type structure to be included into the structure of the list data table. It seems strange, because including it will make our list data structure deep. But anyhow ALV Grid control handles this.
    The structure that should be included must be of type u201CLVC_T_SCOLu201D. If you want to color the entire row, this inner table should contain only one row with field u201Cfnameu201D is set to space, some color value at field u201Ccolu201D, u201C0u201D or u201C1u201D at fields u201Cintu201D (intensified) and u201Cinvu201D (inverse).
    If you want to color individual cells, then for each cell column, append a line to this inner table which also contains the column name at field u201Cfnameu201D. It is obvious that you can color an entire column by filling this inner table with a row for that column for each row in the list data table. But, it is also obvious that, this will be more time consuming than the method at section C.6.1.
    Again key field coloring will override your settings. Thatu2019s why, we have another field in this inner table called u201Cnokeycolu201D. For each field represented in the inner table, set this field to u2018Xu2019 to prevent overriding of key color settings.
    DATA BEGIN OF gt_list OCCURS 0
    INCLUDE STRUCTURE SFLIGHT .
    DATA rowcolor(4) TYPE c .
    DATA cellcolors TYPE lvc_t_scol
    DATA END OF gt_list .
    DATA ls_cellcolor TYPE lvc_s_scol .
    READ TABLE gt_list INDEX 5 .
    ls_cellcolor-fname = 'SEATSOCC' .
    ls_cellcolor-color-col = '7' .
    ls_cellcolor-color-int = '1' .
    APPEND ls_cellcolor TO gt_list-cellcolors .
    MODIFY gt_list INDEX 5 .

  • ALV OOP- Catching the event when the user clicks a cell

    Hi Experts,
    i have 2 alvs to display using custom containers, now the problem is that i need to make some lines uneditable and some lines editable. On making this i find that ALV does not offer this functionality of selective editable rows, right? I offered a workaround by just popping an error message if a user clicks a row which suppose to be disabled/uneditable. My problem is that how can i catch the single click event in ALV using OOP?
    Thanks to replies and points will be given...

    hi,
    hope this helps.
    creating Editable Cells in ALV
    Making a column editable in ALV:
    IT_FIELDCAT is an internal table which has the structure of the data to be displayed. Each row in this internal table creates a column in ALV. The fieldcat structure has an optional field u2018EDITu2019 which is not required to be passed all the time. By default the column is non-editable. If the value of the field EDIT is u2018Xu2019, that column becomes editable in the display.
    Example:
      wa_fieldcat-fieldname = 'CHECK'.
      wa_fieldcat-edit      = 'X'.
      wa_fieldcat-coltext   = 'Delete'.
      APPEND wa_fieldcat TO it_fieldcat.
      CLEAR wa_fieldcat.
    The column DELETE in the ALV display is editable. The corresponding output internal table field name is CHECK.
    Making individual cells editable or non-editable:
    1.     Include an internal table of type lvc_t_styl in the output internal table (as a field) of the ALV. This inner table is like other output fields of the internal table.
    Example:
    TYPES: BEGIN OF tt_project,
                check TYPE c,
                status(132) TYPE c,
                it_styletab TYPE lvc_t_styl.

    Hi,
    According to your post, my understanding is that you want to custom action for context menu in "Site Content and Structure" in SharePoint 2010.
    In "SiteManager.aspx", SharePoint use MenuItemTemplate class which represent a control that creates an item in a drop-down menu.
    For example, to create or delete the ECB menu for a list item in
    "Site Content and Structure", we can follow the steps below:
    To add the “My Like” menu, we can add the code below:
    <SharePoint:MenuItemTemplate
    UseShortId=false
    id="OLListItemLike"
    runat="server"
    Text="My Like"
    ImageUrl="/_layouts/images/DelItem.gif"
    ClientOnClickNavigateUrl="https://www.google.com.hk/"
    />
    To remove the “Delete” menu, we can comment the code below:
    <SharePoint:MenuItemTemplate
    UseShortId=false
    id="OLListItemDelete"
    runat="server"
    Text="<%$Resources:cms,SmtDelete%>"
    ImageUrl="/_layouts/images/DelItem.gif"
    ClientOnClickScript="%SmtObjectDeleteScript%"
    />
    The result is as below:
    More information:
    MenuItemTemplate Class (Microsoft.SharePoint.WebControls)
    MenuItemTemplate.ClientOnClickScript property (Microsoft.SharePoint.WebControls)

  • How do I manage photos using a folder - subfolder type structure?

    How do I manage photos using a folder - subfolder type structure as I have done previously within Windows? For example, my photos were stored with a folder for each year and sub-folders for each month whicheach  held the photos. Can I do this in iPhoto?

    For example, my photos were stored with a folder for each year and sub-folders for each month whicheach  held the photos
    Why bother?
    Check out the search box at the bottom of the Window. (Click on the Magnifying glass, it opens it) Now click on the mgnifying glass in the search box) and select 'Date'. Now you can find all the photos from any day, month or year. If you want to find the photos from a range - say a paticular week - then you can do that with a Smart Album.
    Organising photos by date means you have to remember the date the shot was taken, and after a while, and after a few thousand shots, this gets harder and harder to do, so you spend more and more time rooting through folders.
    iPhoto offers a range of organising tools and each offers more possibilites to quickly find the shot you're looking for. For instance:
    I use Events simply as big buckets of Photos: Spring 08, July - Nov 06 are typical Events in my Library. I use keywords and Smart Albums extensively. I title the pics broadly.
    I keyword on a
    Who
    What
    Where basis (The When is in the photos's Exif metadata). I also rate the pics on a 1 - 5 star basis.
    Using this system I can find pretty much find any pic in my 45k library in a couple of seconds.
    So, for example, I have a batch of pics titled 'Seattle 08' and a  typical keywording might include: John, Anne, Landscape, mountain, trees, snow. With a rating included it's so very easy to find the best pics we took at Mount Rainier.
    File -> New Smart Album
    set it to 'All"
    title contains Seattle
    keyword is mountain
    keyword is snow
    rating is 5 stars
    Or, want a chronological album of John from birth to today?
    New Smart Album
    Keyword is John
    Set the View options to Sort By Date Ascending
    Want only the best pics?
    add Rating is greater than 4 stars
    The best thing about this system is that it's dynamic. If I add 50 more pics of John  to the Library tomorrow, as I keyword and rate them they are added to the Smart Album.
    In the end, organisation is about finding the pics. The point is to make locating that pic or batch of pics findable fast. This system works for me.

  • EVENTS IN ALV OOPS

    HI GUYS,
           CAN ANYONE PLS HELP ME OUT HANDLING EVENTS IN ALV(OOPS)....iS THERE ANY CLASS TO BE DEFINED ?????? PLS HELP IF ANYONE HAS THE CODE FOR THAT...........

    Hi,
    Declare as below.
    CLASS LCL_EVENT_RECEIVER DEFINITION DEFERRED.
    DATA : O_ALVGRID TYPE REF TO CL_GUI_ALV_GRID ,
           O_DOCKINGCONTAINER TYPE REF TO CL_GUI_DOCKING_CONTAINER ,
           O_EVENTRECEIVER TYPE REF TO LCL_EVENT_RECEIVER.
    Then class definition should be as follows:

    This method is called when the user double clicks on a line to drill
    down.
    The following are exported from the ALV
    LVC_S_ROW

    LVC_S_ROID
      METHOD HANDLE_DOUBLE_CLICK.
    The double click drill down processing should be
    coded in the form below.

  • Change the data in fieldcat and update the database table in alv oops

    Hi,
    my requirement is i have displayed a fieldcat in change mode and when i change the data and click on save it has to be updated the database table..
    this has to be done using alv oops...

    Hi,
    This code will reflect all the changes into the internal table that is being displayed.
    * to reflect the data changed into internal table
          DATA : ref_grid TYPE REF TO cl_gui_alv_grid. "new
          IF ref_grid IS INITIAL.
            CALL FUNCTION 'GET_GLOBALS_FROM_SLVC_FULLSCR'
              IMPORTING
                e_grid = ref_grid.
          ENDIF.
          IF NOT ref_grid IS INITIAL.
            CALL METHOD ref_grid->check_changed_data.
          ENDIF.
    Now after this code is executed the internal table is modified as per the changes done in alv output.
    Now you can use this internal table to update the database table.
    Hope this helps you.

    Tarun

  • Issuw with Fieldcatalog in ALV OOPS

    Hi All,
    I am displaying output using ALV OOPs. in output table ihave dropdown field called Manual Processing status.
    to get dropdown i used below logic.
      DATA: lt_dropdown TYPE lvc_t_drop,
            ls_dropdown TYPE lvc_s_drop.
      ls_dropdown-handle = '1'.
      ls_dropdown-value = 'OPEN'(016).

      APPEND ls_dropdown TO lt_dropdown.
      CALL METHOD grid->set_drop_down_table
        EXPORTING
          it_drop_down = lt_dropdown.
    when i a, displaying the output lenth of this field is '9'(i mentioned while building the fieldcatalog) but in output its size is more. I used the below field catalog for this field.
      ls_feildcat-fieldname = pv_field.
      ls_feildcat-outputlen =  pc_length.
      ls_feildcat-coltext = pv_header.
      ls_feildcat-just = pc_true.
      ls_feildcat-no_out = gc_space.
      ls_feildcat-drdn_hndl = '1'.
      ls_feildcat-fix_column = 'X'.
    when i comment   ls_feildcat-drdn_hndl = '1' then its working fine but i am not getting dropdown. ANybody can sugeest me how to approach in this case.

    Hi,
    Not sure to get your point...could this be in relation with your layout settings (e.g by passing is_layout-cwidth_opt = 'X' to method set_table_for_first_display) ?
