ALV Output to Spread sheet.. all integer, date fields are moved to last .

My requirement is that, Downloading the ALV displayed data into Excel.
So, I gone Menu>List>Export-->Spreadsheet
But, I observed that, the Currency, Date, Unit columns r coming in the last of spread sheet and with out any color(where as other columns does hv some color!)
I am expalining with the example .
when we take the table SFLIGHT.
Go To SE16 and give table SFLIGHT
and then go for it contents..
then the sequence of cloumns in ALV o/p is as follows..
Carrid,Connid,Fldate,Price,Currency ,PlaneType,seats Max,Setats Occ and others..
But when I goto TableEntry>List>Export-->Spreadsheet
->Table->Micro soft Excel..
we will ge the excel Carrid,Connid,Currency ,PlaneType,
Fldate,Price,seats Max,Setats Occ and others..
The Order is Changed.
1 - So, its the SAP default property? OR Do I need do/code some thing, to resemble the ALV displayed data(to meet my requiremenet)?
2- Generally, Wht is the procedure to get thru my requirement? I mean, am I doing correct?
Your help is appreciated.

Satish.

Hi Satish,
I am also facing this problem in one of my programs. Though I solved this problem temporarily by adding a new button to the Screen and have downloaded the file using GUI_DOWNLOAD function module, I would really like to know the reason for this and also the solution for this if you have known it by now.
Regards,
Amit.

    Hi Satish,
Ideally, the layout should strictly follow the field catalogue structure you have defined. Just because you are getting the correct layout in ALV implies that everuthing is OK with your code.
A humble suggestion is that you cross-check this malfunction by downloading the same report on some other system (PC). May be some setting in the Excel sheet is modifying the layout.
Do let me know if it works, else i will dig more to find out the reason and the remedy.

  • When I import a text file(comma separated )into a numbers spread sheet all the data goes into one column. Why does the text not go into separate columns based on the commas.

When I import a text file(comma separated) into a numbers spreadsheet all the data goes into one column instead of individual columns based on the comma separators.  Excel allows you to do this during the import..  Is there a way to accomplish this in numbers without opening it in Excel and the importing into Numbers.

Your user info says iPad. This is the OS X Numbers forum. Assuming you are using OS X… Be sure the file is named with a .csv suffix.
(I don't have an iPad, so I don't know the iOS answer.)

  • Data arrived in ODS new data - all  data fields are cleared

    Hello Experts
We are loading every day since 3 years data into a DSO   There is a simple start routine.
    Issue:
Suddenly 1x  record out of 12'000 records loses the data fields or in other words the data fields are cleared. The key part of the record still extists. The table of new data shows the record with all cleared data fields. Thus before activation the data are lost already somwhere in updating.
We dont use expert routines, no end routines ect. It is a simple 1:1 transformation with a simple start routine.
We debugged the start routine and the record still exists correctly at the end of the start routine with all entries in the data fields.
So quite tricky and we hope of some good ideas , you may help us.
Thanks a lot for your input and help

    Hello Raf
The data request has been split in 2 x data packages.
And the erroneous record was exactly the last data record in data package 1.
I have than increased the data request size from 10’000 Records to 50’000
records (default) and it worked than perfectly without clearing any data
    columns
For me absolutely not understandable, why this can happen.
    Do you have an idea.

  • Date fields are showing as  /  /   in DSO for blank dates or no dates

We are loading flat file data to DSO and the date fields are showing as  /  /   in DSO for blank dates or no dates in the flat file source system.  We don't want to see this / /  and instead of this, we would want to this field in DSO to be in blank. Please help how to achieve this. Is there any way to do this transformation. If yes, then can you please provide  the sample coding.
    Advance Thanks,
    Christy

I have added the code and data loading is successful. while DSO activation, it is failing. The error message is,
Value '#' of characteristic 0DATE is not a number with 000008 spaces.
It seems that we need to change the code. Can you provide me the corrected code please. Thanks.

  • Visio 2010 - Shape Data Fields Are Not Saving

I am having a problem with a number of shape data fields which are not saving data that has been entered into it, whether by entering it through the "shape data" or "define shape data" dialog boxes, or by editing the "shape
    sheet".
All data fields appear to save normally while file is open, it remains as entered.  However, when file is closed and later reopened select data fields do not retaining data correctly.  Some retain nothing (null), or revert back to a "default"
value, see below for a couple examples:
Rack Units:  Want to enter data as 1U, 2U, etc. ... in some cases it will save it as entered while in other cases it reverts to "1 RU", "2U", etc.
Room:  Enter the data as I want it stored, most of the time it appears to come back empty, there are some shapes which will retain as entered.
Comments:  Fails to retain any data
I have looked at a number of reasons to explain why, whether the problems occur with stencils is supplied by Microsoft, a vendor, or were custom created.   Looked into whether it might have to do with a particular vendor's stencils/drawings
but I have a number of Cisco drawings where some save those fields as entered while others do not.  I believe it could be a setting within the stencil preventing it from saving the data as entered, enabled in some cases and not in others.
I have checked "Protection" under the "Developer" tab, but nothing appears to be set to prevent editing/storing data entered.
Is there some setting(s) or field(s) somewhere that I can look at to allow this data to be saved as entered?
Is there a GLOBAL setting that can be set once within a file?
Thank you in advance for your time to assist me in fixing these problems. Have a great day!

    >Can I build logic so that they can't fill in a field unless the previous field has been filled in?
It's theoretically possible to do this (e.g. each field has an action
of removing read-only on the next). It's considered extremely bad form
design, because people don't always fill in fields in the order
specified. If you watch people with a form they fill in their name,
address, other easy stuff; then they go back for the harder stuff.
They may want to save a form because one piece of information needs
    research.
What you might like to consider is a large splash "FORM INCOMPLETE" in
Red or whatever, which vanishes when all the fields are completed.

  • New DSO data fields are not available for transformations in the upwardflow

    Hello,
    There are data flow from
many source DSOs -> Target DSO -> Final DSO.
Different transformations are defined and activated with DTPs. This works fine and provides the desired results.
now new fields are added to the target DSO, final DSO and one of the source DSO.
When I now try to edit the transformations, the new fields are not part of the sources at the different stage.
The fields are available in the Data Source created out of a DSO but not directly when using a DSO as a data source.
Have anyone faced such a problem?
    any solutions to this?
       - I cannot delete all the other transformations as this is too much work to do and there is no time for it.

  • Business Partner Creation/Display - General Data fields are missing

    Hi,
We have an issue in our ECC6.0 system. In FPP1/FPP2/FPP3 transactions General data fields such as Driver's license, SSN, Employee class are missing under Identification tab. But the same are displayed in BP transaction code. What configuration would causing this issue.

I found a SAP Note 844949 which is talking about the same kind of issue. As per the note I regenerated subscreen containers for application object BUPA.
Call transaction BUSP and generate the subscreen containers for the application objects BUPA, FICA and BUPR. To do this, set the "All screens" indicator under "Generate All Screens or Just Selected Screens".
If this does not correct the incorrect display, use transaction BUPT for the business partner or transaction CAWM for the contract account to make sure that the fields are not missing due to the field modifications. (If you cannot call these transactions, exit the SAP Easy Access menu by using /n and then call BUPT or CAWM.

  • Blank or null date fields are displaying 1/1/1901

I have optional date fields that users may leave blank.  When they do, the result is that my report is printing 1/1/1901 (which I am guessing is a default setting somewhere in the options???)  Can anyone point me in the right direction so that if the field is null, the "text string" & doesn't print?
Here's the formula, maybe it's a fundamental problem with the way I've done the formula:
    if totext({Command.SHIPDATE}) = ""
    then ""
    else "Needed by: " & {Command.SHIPDATE}
    Any help is greatly appreciated.

Is SHIPDATE a date type or text field?  I an presuming a text field based on your example.  If the date is defaulting to 1/1/1901, I am guessing that is a function of your database server rather than Crystal Reports.  So I would alter your code to say:
    if totext({Command.SHIPDATE}) = "1/1/1901"
    then ""
    else "Needed by: " & {Command.SHIPDATE}
    Fuskie
Who notes you could also put the text and data object directly in the report and use a suppression formula instead of a report object formula...

    Hi,
I have custom ALV grid report using OOp . From the report i am exporting the results to an EXCEL, but the date columns in the report sits as last column the exported excel.
    Any idea ?
    Thanks

That is the default functionality of the ALV grid, it collects all the similar data types together and then donwloads the data.
If you don't want that, you will have write code yourself and download the data

  • How to see what data fields are linked to

OK, not sure if that is even how to ask for what I am looking for. I am using Jetform Design version 5.3. There is a file at my company that was created before I took over as Systems Admin and one of the fields is cutting off the test string.  It is actually the text pay line on a check ie. One hundred twenty three thousand and.......It stops at the word and. It is pulling data from our ERP system somehow and has been confirmed that it does print the cents amount when not printing thru Jetforms to Adobe Central Server.  Somewhere in the conversion those final words are getting lost and I have no clue where. I don't know how to look at the link of that pay field on the form.  Can somebody please try and give me a hand. Thanks alot!

Can you take a look into the data file (eg. DAT file) which is used to merge with the Jetform template?
I suppose you could see some text like:
    ^field FD_PAY_TEXT
One hundred twenty three thousand and ...
Please be noted that FD_PAY_TEXT is sample. It could be another name. Then, opening Jetform template by Output Designer and seeking a textbox named FD_PAY_TEXT. You can use the combo box (in the top-right side) that listing all of objects in current template to reach a specified object.
    Hope it helps.
