I received a notice for software update.  It froze in process. I forced quited the iPad.  It will not start.  I see the apple and then it goes away.  Latest thing is a round iTunes with a plug symbol below it. It's plugged it and nothing.

When I do that it says it will wipe my iPad clean and start over leaving me with nothing.

  • Desupport Notice for Oracle9i Enterprise Edition Release 9.2.0.6.0 - 64bit

    Hello,
Is there a comprehensive published note from Oracle describing desupport notices for Oracle databases?
    Mainly - Oracle9i Enterprise Edition Release 9.2.0.6.0 - 64bit Production, 10g r2 and 11g r1?
If so, can anyone provide the link? I do have Metalink access, so a note id would also be good.
    Thanks,

  • IFS ALERT NOTICE FOR JDBC MEMORY LEAK FIX

IFS ALERT NOTICE FOR JDBC MEMORY LEAK FIX
    Product and Version Affected:
    Product: Oracle Internet File System
    Product ID: 7
    Version: 1.0
Description: There is a memory leak when retrieving or saving BLOBs through JDBC. IFS will appear to continue to increase in its memory consumption until the user runs out of swap space, and the machine stops functioning.
Platform Affected: Sun SPARC Solaris, Windows NT
Likelihood of Occurrence: Most iFS customers will notice this problem, since most will retrieve and store enough document content that they will notice the memory leak.
    Symptoms:
    - Performance becomes unacceptable on a minimally configured machine when doing significant retrievals and storage of documents.
    - Significant swapping of the operating system.
    - The user sees real memory and total memory continue to increase without bound when using any iFS protocols to retrieve and store document content.
    - The memory usage goes back to normal when the iFS protocols are stopped.
Solution: Get the JDBC 8.1.6.0.1 patch for Solaris or NT (the OCI component, for JDK 1.1). Install it on all machines where the iFS protocols are running. The patch may be obtained on http://technet.oracle.com/software/tech/java/sqlj_jdbc/software_index.htm (you have to be logged into technet).
Be sure to get the OCI component of JDBC 8.1.6.0.1 for JDK 1.1.

  • I continue to receive an App upgrade notice for an App that is not on my computer. Apple Tech support  has no explanation or solution. This has only occurred after upgrading to Lion.  How do I stop this?

I continue to receive an App upgrade notice for an App that is not on my computer. After spending several hours with a variety of divisions (Lion,iTunes,iPad,iMac) of Apple Tech Support, none can give me any definitive explanation or solution.  Prior to my recent upgrade to Lion, this did not occur.  Has anyone else had this problem?  If so, how did you resolve the issue?

You get an update notice for an app that is not installed on your Mac. Is there a stranger's Apple ID also appearing on your Mac related with this update?
If so, you have a pirated app on your Mac. If not, it should be another issue.

  • ICal wiki giving infamous 210 error but ONLY for December 2008

I have iCal server up and running for a client, it's been working fine, until she started adding in content for December 2008. Whenever you go to the display for December 2008 (month view) or the Nov 30-Dec 6 Week view (logged in or not). You get the:
Error from server: Error processing calendar data (210)
it ONLY affects this display (as far as I can tell) You can go to all other months/weeks without the error. I've gone as far ahead as Dec. 2010 without duplicating the error.
My initial thinking was that there is an event that overlaps the previous week/month view (lasts from Nov 24-Nov 30). I tried to separate it up into individual dates (i.e. Nov 30th's all-day event is a separate entry from Nov 29th's), but that didn't seem to solve the problem.
    HELP!

    Hi,
Thanks very much for the reply, and yes when I change some to all be on the 80 port it does work. I just don't understand why the wikid server doesn't allow the port shift.
Now maybe my understanding of DNS and certificates is not good enough but I am not aware of how I can have multiple domains under ssl and have them each served a different certificate if they're all at 443? is that not allowed anyhow?
This is one of my reasons for the port shifting... the others were I just got in the habit of it. I can put "some" back to 80 to fix that issue.
But does anyone know of a way to get it to work with the shifted ports, 443, 8443, 8043, 80**, etc.
if not I'm guessing I can only have one wiki under ssl - is this right?
    Thanks,
    chris

No time member is defined in the last row.
any idea? Which parameters define the next members, ie how it determines that NEXT(1) of 2009.MAR is 2009.APR?
    thanks for your help,
    Romuald

    Hi,
I don't have NEXT property. I just have a PRIOR property which is correclty defined except for january. I think that is the problem. I'm going to add PRIOR property value on january members.
    thanks for your answer,

How did you do that?  Do you mean you sync to iTunes that had the ipad library?
The phone with the issue, settings - general - reset - erase all contents and settings - this will wipe the phone clean and then restore from your backup.

  • How do I stop the notices for a download I DO NOT WANT???

Last time I downloaded an update, my computer wouldn't work properly and crashed numerous times. I have a better-than-average anti-virus program and I don't want your update and I'm tired of seeing the notice for it pop up! I can always go back to IE if you don't want my patronage.

There are some add-ons that torment you with fake update messages that lead to malware or other problems. Please take a look on your add-ons page and disable ALL nonessential or unrecognized add-ons on these two tabs:
orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons > Plugins category<br>
orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons > Extensions category
Usually a link will appear above at least one disabled extension to restart Firefox. You can complete your work on the tab and click one of the links as the last step.
To adjust Firefox's own update settings, check this article: [[Advanced settings for accessibility, browsing, system defaults, network, updates, and encryption]].

Spammers have probably hacked your mail account. Change the password, to something much harder than it was before and see if it happens again. If it does then you may need to talk to the provider or take more aggressive action.
Usually they hack, send spam and  move on.
