Always able to access wi fi except one says unable to join network

Says I am unable to join network doesn't give me the password box just says unable to join network

It may be that the battery is the issue. I am having the same problems - unable to log in to my WIFI at home, which I have never had an issue with until yesterday, when I started getting the "Unable to access XXX network".
I have tried everything including full iphone restore and router factory restore, but nothing. I did note that after having the phone switched off overnight, I was able to access my wireless network for about fifteen minutes then it just dropped the connection and now I am back to no access whatsoever.

It is one of many internet postings on this issue and would make sense of the posting above mine..
I'm going to try reverting to 2.2.0 - people such as Leo Laporte on Macbreak Weekly have been complaining of battery issues since upgrading to 2.2.1

    Have you tried standard troubleshooting
    ie reboot   >> press hold and sleep until Apple logo appears ignoring
    red off slider

    I know how frustrating it is not to be able to connect to the internet.
    Below are the troubleshooting steps to try to figure out why:
    iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
    I would follow the steps in order, but this section is specific to your error message:
    If you're unable to join a nearby Wi-Fi network
    Try restarting your Wi-Fi router by turning it off and then on again.
    Note: If your ISP also provides cable or phone service, check with them before attempting this step to avoid interruption of service.
    When joining an 802.11n Wi-Fi network, ensure that your router is properly configured. See this article for more information.
    Reset network settings by tapping Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
    Note: This will reset all network settings, including passwords, VPN, and APN settings.

  • I am able to access home sharing on one computer but not the other

    Both computers have updated versions of iTunes. I am able to access my brother's iTunes, which is on hard wire as well as mine, but I am unable to access my mom's laptop which is on the Wi-Fi. Does that make a difference for they are all part of the same network. I am able to see her home share on the left bar, but it just loads for a while then disappears. Also, she is able to access my home sharing from her laptop which just baffles me even more.

    Power cycle the router and try 192.168.1.1 instead.

    Try a soft-reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider if it appears), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.
    When it's rebooted you can force a backup via Settings > iCloud

    Have you tried rebooting the Hub? Unplug it from power for about 30 seconds and plug it back in again.

    Hello Linc and Eric thanks for your help.I had a think in my sleep and came up with the following.
    If I accessed a few days back in my history files the website in question then it should work as this was before my problem.
    This worked so I have mow circumvented whatever it was in the (Router/modem/internet section of Imac) that is causing the issue.
    So will keep this in mind and continue to get rid of problem but at least I have a work around.

    I'm confess I'm still trying to get a handle on your problem. You do a fantastic job of describing it ... but I'm just trying to picture it accurately in my head.
    I think, were I in your shoes, I'd begin by looking at what the debug page has to say for the specific destination in which you're interested in fixing. In other words, I'm not clear on where, exactly, this destination points ...

    Is that your site, or the division within your site that you want to fix? "Normally", you do not need to specify a site handle to get to your site within your transfer CGI ... if you say "uillinois.edu", it's enough to transfer your users to iTunes U ... but every site still has a handle, and you could, if you wanted to, actually specify it in your transfer CGI.     On all the android devices we have where Adobe reader has been installed,  no login box appears to enter a password where this is required to read the file. A message comes up saying the file cannot be accessed at this time, and to try again later. The box does however appear where Adobe isn't installed, but as soon as Adobe is installed in order to read the file, it becomes inaccessible again. What do I need to do.

    This is very disappointing from The Carphone Warehouse. If they had mentioned this when I went into their stores, I wouldn't have completed the purchases. I bought two phones at separate outlets and neither of them told me this.
    I have been in contact with T-Mobile already as I thought they had sneakily applied a software update that locked the phone. They have denied locking it and suggest that it is something that Apple do. Their solution was a factory reset.
    I have a call logged with Apple this afternoon, so will see what they suggest. Hopefully they will give me something that I can take to The Carphone Warehouse or T-Mobile.

    I was just watching some u-tube on my ipod, and my internet went out. i thought "no prob!" and put in the password for my internet. it said "unable to join". so i tried again. it didnt work. AND AGAIN AND AGAIN, but it didnt work!!!
    This has never ever happened before, and i am SURE that someone didnt change the e-net password on me! I am also sure i didnt put in the wrong password.
    I have already tried the "settings/ general/ reset/ reset network settings" fix, and it didnt work!

    I have tried all solutions available on internet regarding this problem but none seems to work.
    As per one solution I added the user in sharepoint site collection administrator group still no luck!
    As per another solution  I tried to run “User Profile Service Application Proxy – User Profile to SharePoint Full Synchronization”
    “User Profile Service Application Proxy – User Profile to SharePoint Quick Synchronization”
    but they dont run for some reason. Both these jobs are scheduled to run everyday but last time they ran was some date in 2011. When I click on Run Now nothing happens.
    I deleted all cache, forms password history everything.  Added the site in trusted sites and all. No luck!
    User also tried to access the site by logging onto another system but still same issue.
    This user recently joined alongwith a few more people. All of them are able to access the site except this particular user. So, a web part or unpublished page cant be the reason, right?
    This user is only able to access the home page which is say http://<siteurl:1234> application while the site which this user is not able to access is
    http://<siteurl:2345>.
    I even tried to give access through sharepoint designer but no luck! Please help!
    PS: This may not be relevant but still I'm sharing. Earlier I used to add users in manage user profiles - new profile. But now as soon as the user is added into active directory there profile is getting created automatically. This might be happening due to
    active directory and user profile sync but the question is how? Because I dont remember configuring this. And it was not configured earlier too.

    According to your description, my understanding is that only one user cannot access the site even though he has the right permission.
    I recommend to verify the things below:
    Check the permission of the user in the site to see if the permission is right.
    Is http://<siteurl:2345> a new site collection ? Can the user access other pages except the home page in
    http://<siteurl:1234>?
    Grant needed permission to the user in the web application to see if the issue still occurs.
    Delete the user and re-add the user in AD to see if the issue still occurs.
    Check the ULS log for detailed error message.

  • Can access the whole web, except one popular website...

    Hi everyone,
    I am currently experiencing some problems with my Browser. I can access all websites, except one germany news-website (www.spiegel.de). Already tried to do so with Firefox or Opera but I have the same problems with those browsers. All other mac-laptops in my network have no problem in loading the site. But when I try so with my own, the loading-symbol is stopping right at the beginning.

    No problem with Der Spiegel for me!
    Could well be a glitched cookie. Try deleting any cookie you have for that site, and also delete the URL from your bookmarks.
    Restart Safari and type in the URL, then a new cookie will be created, as well as a fresh bookmark you can save.
