Always got prompt message twice when launching Firefox, How do i fix it?
I got this prompt message twice.

You may be having a problem with some Firefox add-on that is hindering your Firefox's normal behavior. Have you tried disabling all add-ons (just to check), to see if Firefox goes back to normal?
Whenever you have a problem with Firefox, whatever it is, you should make sure it's not coming from one of your installed add-ons, be it an extension, a theme or a plugin. To do that easily and cleanly, run Firefox in [http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode safe mode] and select ''Disable all add-ons''. If the problem disappears, you know it's from an add-on. Disable them all in normal mode, and enable them one at a time until you find the source of the problem. See [http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Troubleshooting+extensions+and+themes this article] for information about troubleshooting extensions and theme. You can troubleshoot plugins the same way.
If you want support for one of your add-ons, you'll need to contact its author.

Firefox 4 lost my bookmarks sidebar, started my home page with Yahoo finance in a strange place on Yahoo and generally gave me fits. I ran the install on an earlier version of Firefox which works great after I click on an error message eight times to get Firefox to start. The error box said Chrome Registration Failed the text in the box said "Firefox could not install this item because of Chrome Registration. Please contact the author about this problem." I felt comfortable with version 3.8??? and Firefox 4 isn't comfortable for me and now the earlier version is messed up. How do I get back into my comfort zone. My computer experience started with Heath Disk Operating System, CPM, Windows 1 through 7. I don't like Firefox 4 or Chrome internet browsers. Windows IE caused problems early on with virus and male ware.

When launching Firefox(5.0) there are always two TABS that open.
When launching Firefox(5.0) there are always two TABS that open, one with "What's new in Firefox" and other my homepage. Can't it be adjusted to open only one TAB (Homepage) and not the other one?

No, you do not have to set anything special. That would then indicate an issue with your network.
Make sure DNS is set to automatic (settinga - general - network). If on wifi try ethernet. Reboot ATV and router.
If it persist, get a proper report of the network by going to istumbler (Mac) or netstumbler (PC), look for signal strength and noise. -

Hi; I’m experiencing a problem when launching Firefox . Receive the following message;

I’ve removed and reloaded Firefox, but same problem.
The only thing I can think of that’s changed on the PC is that I’ve renewed & McAfe AntiVirus Plus (which also had to be removed then reloaded).
Any suggestions as to what’s the problem & how to fix?I've tried checking the firewall issue; removed and reinstalled Firefox several time; run multiple anti-virus programs looking for issues; and it still doesn't work. However, today Google Chrome began working as my internet connection; and it works beautifully using Firefox (Go figure!). However, when I again reinstalled the actual Firefox program, it still does not work; so I have once again removed it. I find this very interesting.

Run time prompts not appearing when launching BR from a right click menu
Hi!
I have a problem when trying to launch a business rule from a right click menu which is assigned to a dataform.
The rule launches but does not show/ask for the run time prompts as it should do. The run-time prompts should not be hidden (I checked also Eas and data form selections).
When using the rule form the Tools-Business Rules menu, the rule works fine. It prompts for the required variables and as they are filled in, the rule does what it is expected to.
Also, when using the same rule attached into a form (and selected "use members on form"&"run on save") the rule works correctly.
We are using version 11.1.2.1.
I already have tried restarting Planning services but without success.
What might cause this?

This issue is caused by unpublished Bug 11064867 - RIGHT CLICK MENUS NOT RENDERING RUN TIME PROMPTS
In version 931 run time prompts worked correctly when launching them from a right click menu, I checked this out.
In our current version I got this working (this is kind of a workaround) by adding a new RTP variable (using the same dimension as the original RTP variable). This way I got the rule to "ask for more information" (like what were you asking for? ) and not running the rule without interruptions. This instruction was given in Oracle support (knowledge base).

Suppress add-on dialog when launching Firefox
When launching Firefox with new extensions installed, it comes up with a dialog box telling of the new extensions. I'd like a way to completely suppress this for our users, as we (in IT dept) already know it was installed and don't need our users to see anything about it.
Is there a way to completely suppress the add-on dialog so it doesn't come up at all? Maybe a command-line switch, javascript extension, or setting in an ini file?
Target is Debian and Ubuntu Linux with Firefox 3.6.
thanks!This is stupid. Not only is the way to install plugins now basically a hack (unzipping an xpi file into a dir? really?), but getting rid of the notification is as well. I came up with three ways around this problem: a) install all plugins right after a fresh install, before any profile dirs are created, b) remove all profile directories, or c) edit the prefs.js file for the desired profile. Option "a" is obviously easiest but not always doable.
to fully automate on linux for option b (assuming kioskfox-0.4-fx.xpi is your extension file):
mkdir kf
unzip kioskfox-0.4-fx.xpi -d kf/
sudo mv kf /usr/lib/firefox-addons/extensions/`cat kf/install.rdf |grep em:id|head -1 | cut -d '>' -f 2|cut -d '<' -f 1`

alternate to an rm -rf for option c (if firefox has been started already, and this line appears in the prefs.js):

dork around with it a bit to understand what I'm doing, to make sure you don't mess yourself up. obviously if you don't use the default profile, change *default to whatever the profile is named.

Oops! Error msg when launching Firefox
Just installed Firefox 3.6 on my sister's computer. When launching Firefox a msg box pops up ( on what appears to be a Google page ) that says Oops! Firefox could not find www.download-services.net
Did not even try to access this site, but Firefox automatically does.
Couple of things we already tried were:
Completely Uninstalling a very old version of Firefox she already had
Uninstalling the Google toolbar using Add/Remove programs ( but it's still there? )
Uninstalled and re-installed Firefox 3.6 two times
Still get this msg box.
Also, tried to set AOL as homepage and it will not take
