"Always trust content from this publisher" checkbox wanted OFF by default

If in Windows IE a signed applet ist about to run, the user is prompted for acceptance.
If the Java applet is signed with a trusted certificate, the user will still be prompted. However, the option to "Always trust content from this publisher" is enabled by default. I DO NOT like this behaviour as it imposes a potential security risk and urges me to always uncheck the option.
Is it possible to change the default behaviour to this checkbox being disabled by default?

It sounds like in your NB project you are generating new cert to sign your application every time you build it.
Generate certificate once, add it to the project and use it to sign jar (see http://download.oracle.com/javase/tutorial/security/toolsign/step3.html)
Then once you click on "always trust content from this publisher" you should never be asked again as long as you use same certificate.

Try this now.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.

I would like to prevent content from this ip address from 173.223.52.163 being run in the browser. It is adds usualy and can be included in many sites like yahoo.

This is one of those painful issues all admins seem to have to go thought as their users move form local to remote.
The solutions are not pretty but possible.
One that seems elegant but you would have to do some coding, would be to write a script to disable (turn off) time Machine when connecting via VPN (or better, enable it only when IN HOUSE).
I think that you should be able to use the firewall to look for the ip range of VPN users and to 'route' the ip of the TM device NOWHERE (drop). This will cause errors for your users ('Delayed Backup ' or 'Time Machine has not backed up in x Days') but should be a solution.
There are others, but they become more complex than this and most do not hide the errors.

I want to remove all of their content from it. I turned off Homesharing and that didn't work. All of their music is on my computer and synchs to my Iphone and it's driving me nuts. Please help !

You can deauthorise all 5 at once, then reauthorize the one you want.

You need to log into iTunes on the computer you want to deauthorise. Otherwise, contact contact iTunes Store support to see if they can help.

Always trust these certificates option no longer working

Hello all,
I'm using MacOS X 10.4.4. My firm uses a lot of sites with self-signed server and CA certificates. Safari, of course, pops up a box saying "this is signed by an unknown issuer" or somesuch. Showing the details of the certificates and then checking the "always trust these certificates" used to prevent that pop-up from showing again (after entering your password).
Safari no longer does this, and each time I start Safari, I get the certificate warning even though I've checked the always trust box.
This is a major annoyance. Does anyone have any idea how to get it to stop doing this and remembering my "always trust" click?

How to move the Content from UCM11g to URM11g?

Hi,
One of our customer is using UCM 11g as their content repository for all document management requirements. They are looking for the possibility to implement URM for the record mangement requirements.
They are looking for the following specific scenario.
In UCM for any document if the metadata is updated with a specific value (example Status="Approved") then that particular version of the document should be moved automatically to URM.
How can we achieve this?. Can we use the UCM connector for URM?
In this scenario, whether the actual content will be transferred to URM or just the metadata will be created in URM for that particular document and the actual content still reside in UCM?.

Usually the entire set of content management scenario like wf's , metadata , expiration etc are created on UCM Server . On the URM side all the life cycles like Retention , Disposition , Records actions etc are created .
So when you checkin a content and if it is attached to a category / record folders then it will be searchable from URM side as well .
As for moving the contents you can schedule the Synchronization on a manual basis from UCM side where in the contents will then be searchable from URM side .
All the contents , metadata and such details will be on UCM itself but they will be attached to the URM life cycles .
Apart from this if you want then the same ucm server can be turned into a standalone RM server as well by selecting Standalone Option while enabling RM components .
Or else use the Adapter configuration to have UCM server with RM communicate with a full blown URM server .

You are trying to sync to other than the one iTunes library you can sync to. You can copy music from multiple library/computer if you use the manual method of syncing. That method is described here

If you want to make this computer/iTunes library your syncing computer/library you have to restore the iPod on this computer/library. Restoring erases the iPod.

iCloud is not the way to do this. You should use Migration Assistant - with this you can transfer your complete User folder from the old Mac including preferences and logins. You will need to connect the two with FireWire or USB depending on the models.
Ideally you should do this before you set up the new Mac - if you create a user account with the same name than the Migration will have to give the migrated user folder a different name. When you first switch on the new Mac it should ask you if you want to transfer your data, and give you instructions.

Yes, but then it all has to be done using a script. You can't use the built-in Open A File command.

A simple Paste does not work for you?
It should place the clipboard content as a new Layer which you can then move around.
If there is any chance that the elements need to be scaled, rotated etc. I would prefer to place them as Smart Objects (File > Place …) and do the masking that is specific to the images themselves in those.

By design, the iphone will sync itunes content with one computer at a time. Any attempt to sync such content with a second computer will result in ALL itunes content being first erased from your phone & then replaced with the content from the second computer. This is a design feature and cannot be overridden. Because you are using a new computer, your phone will see this computer as a "new" computer. The itunes content sync is one way: computer to phone. If you have photos that were synced to your phone or music ripped on your own that were not backed up, you will first have to extract them from your phone using third party software, before you do anything else, as Apple makes no provision to do so:

Once you've done that, do the following in the order specified:
1. Disable auto sync when an iPod/iPhone is connected under iTunes>Preferences(under the edit menu if using Windows)>Devices in itunes.
2. Make sure you have one contact & one event in the supported applications(Address Book & iCal or Outlook, Windows Address Book) on your computer. These entries can be fake, doesn't matter, the important point is that these programs not be empty.
3. Connect your phone, iTunes running, DO NOT SYNC at this point.
4. Store>Authorize this computer.
5. File>Transfer Purchases(To make sure all purchased content on your phone will be in your itunes library).
6. Right click in the device pane & select reset warnings.
7. Right click again and select backup.
8. Right click again & select restore from backup, select the backup you just made. When prompted to create another backup, decline.
9. This MUST be followed by a sync to restore your itunes content, which you select from the various tabs, You'll get a popup regarding your contacts & calendars asking to merge or replace, select merge.
You should be good to go.

First, if you haven't updated to iTunes 10.5, please update now as you will need it for the iPhone 4S and iOS 5.
Once you're done installing iTunes 10.5, open it. Connect your iPhone to iTunes using the USB cable. Once your iPhone pops up right click on it. For example: an iPhone will appear and it will say "Ryan's iPhone."
Right click on it and select "Backup" from the dropdown menu. It will start backing up. This should backup your notes.
Please tell me if you have any problems with backing up.
Once you backup and get your iPhone 4S, you must follow these steps. If you don't follow these steps, you will not be able to get your notes on your new iPhone 4S.
Open up iTunes again then right click on your device (iPhone 4S). Once you do you will see a dropdown menu. It will say "Restore from Backup..." Select this and it'll ask for a backup, select it from the dropdown menu. For example "Ryan's iPhone - October 12, 2011." Pick that and it will restore to your backup. Do this when you get your iPhone 4S so you will not lose anything. Even though you're restoring, you're getting back, since you're getting the previous settings, notes, contacts, mail and other settings from your old iPhone. You'll still have Siri though! So, restore when you first get it. Also frequently backup your device, as it will be worth it. You can restore from a backup if something goes wrong or save your data for a future update.
Once you do that, you should have your notes on your new iPhone 4S and iOS 5.

Try rebooting the device. It should be in Settings right under General. You may need to go to Settings<General<Reset<Reset All Settings (don't erase data) and setup as a new device. The iCloud login should appear during this step. Just keep setting it up, then go back to settings and see if the iCloud tab appears.
