  • Not able to download all of my music onto my ipod 5 after 8.2 update

After updating my 5th gen ipod touch to 8.2 software I am not able to download all of my music from my itunes library.
I have updated the software twice now and have restored and gone back to factory settings and have started over from scratch.
Before doing this my ipod wouldn't download any music. After doing this, it has downloaded some but not all music.
For instance, out of 100 songs on a playlist, only 90 will download. My apps and photos seem okey, just not the music.

  • If i download photoshop onto my Mac computer now will i at a later date be able to download the same photoshop program onto my mac laptop? Or is it one program to one computer?

I want to download photoshop i have a lot of work i need doing but i only have this computer for a few more weeks before i get my new laptop. I will still need to use photoshop, will i be able to download photoshop again and use the same serial number i paid for or is the product only useable on one computer, meaning i will have to buy it again? I don't want to waste money.
    Thanks

You are allowed to have the software installed and activated on two machines.  Additionally, you can always deactivate an installation and reapply the activation to the same or a different machine.  You should never have to purchase the software again as long as you only need to have it working on two machines.

  • HT203433 I bought an album on my iPhone one evening and lost my iPhone the same evening. I had expected to be able to download the album via iCloud onto my mac but there are no available downloads when I try in iTunes. Has anybody had this problem before?

Other information, Apple have billed me for the album so I should be able to download it

Depending upon which country that you are in then you might be able to re-download them via the Purchased link under Quick Links on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page on your computer's iTunes : re-downloading.

  • I've tried to download flash player several times onto my iMac, but still can't run any videos.

I have tried downloading and installing Flash Player on my iMac several times.  It goes all the way through the finish screen, but I still can't view videos.  I still get a flyout that says I need Flash Player.  I cannot find Flah Player anywhere on my iMac.  I have looked under Applications, Devices, Documents, and even Utilities.  Nothing.  I do find the installer program, but it only wants to uninstall a Flash Player program that doesn't exist.  Any ideas as to what is going on?

You can check here:  http://www.adobe.com/products/flash/about/  to see which version you should install for your Mac and OS.
(If you are running Mavericks: After years of fighting malware and exploits facilitated through Adobe's Flash Player, the company is taking advantage of Apple's new App Sandbox feature to restrict malicious code from running outside of Safari in OS X Mavericks.)
You should first uninstall any previous version of Flash Player, using the uninstaller from here (make sure you use the correct one!):
    http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/909/cpsid_90906.html
and also that you follow the instructions closely, such as closing ALL applications (including Safari) first before installing. You must also carry out a permission repair after installing anything from Adobe.
After installing, reboot your Mac and relaunch Safari, then in Safari Preferences/Security enable ‘Allow Plugins’. If you are running 10.6.8 or later:
When you have installed the latest version of Flash, relaunch Safari and test.
If you're getting a "blocked plug-in" error, then in System Preferences… ▹ Flash Player ▹ Advanced
click Check Now. Quit and relaunch your browser.
You can also try these illustrated instructions from C F McBlob to perform a full "clean install", which will resolve the "Blocked Plug-in" message when trying to update via the GUI updater from Adobe.
Use the FULL installer for 12.0.0.44:  Flash Player 12 (Mac OS X)
And the instructons are here: Snow Leopard Clean Install.pdf

  • I downloaded microsoft window for mac and it will not open

I purchased a downloadable version of microsoft office for mac from softwarespeedy.com. It downloaded fine but when I try to access any of the applications (word, excel etc) all I get is the spinning color wheel and it bogs everything else. I have to force quit it to stop it.
I have uninstalled it 4x and get the same result. The software company says that it is my computer.
    I have a 2008 macbook and I am running Mac OS X version 10.6.8.
    Can anyone help?

It's a bit more complicated than that because Office installs files outside of the Applications folder. See the following:
    Uninstalling Software: The Basics
Most OS X applications are completely self-contained "packages" that can be uninstalled by simply dragging the application to the Trash.  Applications may create preference files that are stored in the /Home/Library/Preferences/ folder.  Although they do nothing once you delete the associated application, they do take up some disk space.  If you want you can look for them in the above location and delete them, too.
Some applications may install an uninstaller program that can be used to remove the application.  In some cases the uninstaller may be part of the application's installer, and is invoked by clicking on a Customize button that will appear during the install process.
Some applications may install components in the /Home/Library/Applications Support/ folder.  You can also check there to see if the application has created a folder.  You can also delete the folder that's in the Applications Support folder.  Again, they don't do anything but take up disk space once the application is trashed.
Some applications may install a startupitem or a Log In item.  Startupitems are usually installed in the /Library/StartupItems/ folder and less often in the /Home/Library/StartupItems/ folder.  Log In Items are set in the Accounts preferences.  Open System Preferences, click on the Accounts icon, then click on the LogIn Items tab.  Locate the item in the list for the application you want to remove and click on the "-" button to delete it from the list.
Some software use startup daemons or agents that are a new feature of the OS.  Look for them in /Library/LaunchAgents/ and /Library/LaunchDaemons/ or in /Home/Library/LaunchAgents/.
If an application installs any other files the best way to track them down is to do a Finder search using the application name or the developer name as the search term.  Unfortunately Spotlight will not look in certain folders by default.  You can modify Spotlight's behavior or use a third-party search utility, EasyFind, instead.
Some applications install a receipt in the /Library/Receipts/ folder.  Usually with the same name as the program or the developer.  The item generally has a ".pkg" extension.  Be sure you also delete this item as some programs use it to determine if it's already installed.
There are many utilities that can uninstall applications.  Here is a selection:
        1. AppZapper 2.0.1
        2. AppDelete 3.2.6
        3. Automaton 1.50
        4. Hazel
        5. AppCleaner 2.1.0
        6. CleanApp
        7. iTrash 1.8.2
        8. Amnesia
        9. Uninstaller 1.15.1
      10. Spring Cleaning 11.0.1

  • Is there any way I can download a Windows phone connector onto my iBook G4 with OS 10.5.8?

I can't download Windows Phone Connector 7 to my iBook G4 because the download requires 10.6.6 and I have only 10.5.8. Is there anything I can do so that I can interface my iBook with my Windows 7 Smartphone?
    Thanks

You will need to upgrade your computer to at least Mac OS X 10.6.8. Then you can download, install and run iTunes 10.7 which will work with your iPhone 5. iTunes 10.7 can be downloaded here:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1576
If your Mac isn't now running Mac OS X 10.6, you can buy a copy from the Apple Store; in the US:
    http://store.apple.com/us/product/MC573/mac-os-x-106-snow-leopard
Install that, run Software Update and get all the available updates, and you should then be in business.
    Regards.

  • Unable to download Microsoft files from email onto IPAD

    Able to open picture attachments.
Adobe reader downloaded and installed correctly.

What happens when touch and hold the email attachment? You should get the option to preview the attached and to open the attachment in apps that support that format.

  • HT1657 Am I able to download a movie I purchased onto a blank DVD?

I want to purchase This is the End, but I'm wondering if I can burn it onto a blank DVD like I can with songs onto a CD.

If you mean a data DVD for storage and transport, yes.
If you mean a video DVD for playback outside of iTunes, no.

  • Unable to download OS X 10.9 onto an iMac now using 10.7

Purchased used iMac for my folks. Currently using 10.7. Will not download 10.9 Maverick. I have enough memory--2 GB, and storage that is required. Any ideas why Maverick doesn 't load or do I need the 10.8 installed first?  Before I spend $20 on the program, anyone think it will help?

You need to meet ALL of the requirements for Mavericks.
To install Mavericks, you need one of these Macs:
    iMac (Mid-2007 or later)
MacBook (13-inch Aluminum, Late 2008), (13-inch, Early 2009 or later)
MacBook Pro (13-inch, Mid-2009 or later),
    MacBook Pro (15-inch or 17-inch, Mid/Late 2007 or later)
MacBook Air (Late 2008 or later)
Mac mini (Early 2009 or later)
Mac Pro (Early 2008 or later)
    Xserve (Early 2009)
    Your Mac also needs:
OS X Mountain Lion, Lion, or Snow Leopard v10.6.8 already installed
2 GB or more of memory
8 GB or more of available space
To find out more about your iMac's system,
Click on the Apple symbol in the upper left of the OS X main menu bar. A drop down menu appears.
Click About this Mac. A smaller popup window appears. This gives you basic info like what version of OS X your iMac is running, the speed of your iMac's CPU and how much RAM is installed.
Click on the button that says More Info. A larger window appears giving you a complete overview of your iMac's hardware specs.
Highlight all of this info and copy/paste all of this into another reply to this post, editing out your iMac's serial number before actually posting the reply. This will tell us everything about your iMac so we may begin to help with your iMac issues.

  • Microsoft Windows applications on OS X?

Does anyone know what to do in order to be able to open Microsoft Windows applications on OS X?

You either need to create a Bootcamp partition and install Windows or get a program like Parallels and install Windows. Either way, you need a valid copy of Windows.

Is it possible to download microsoft windows on the macbook retina via a flash drive? I have it on my old macbook pro and want to transfer. Iworks will take me so time to get use to.

If you just want Windows to use Office, install Office 2011 for Mac instead > http://www.microsoft.com/mac It has got all the apps that Office for Windows has got (except Access or Publisher), and it is user-friendly, apart from having a lot of features.
Another option you should consider is LibreOffice, free, open-source and user-friendly

  • How to download microsoft office?...

    Hello,
I'm new to the forums, and I just bought my macbook air a couple weeks ago. I'll be starting my first year of university in the fall and I was wondering how I would be able to download microsoft office to my MBA? I was also wondering how I could get the best possible use out of my battery, it currently lasts around 4 hours.
    thanks!

You will need to buy Microsoft Office for Mac, first. That can be done via this URL -
    http://www.microsoft.com/mac/
They also have a 30-day free trial (same URL) so you can try it before you decide to invest your money. In addition you may wish to consult with your university's bookstore to see if they offer any savings/discounts on Office for Mac. Many schools offer significantly reduced pricing on software in an educational environment even beyond the "street value" discount.
