Am I able to retrieve photos from an iPhone after it has been restored?

Is it possible to retrieve photos from an iPhone 5s after it has been restored? I had taken photos on my new iPhone 5s prior to restoring the previous settings and I never saved these photos. When I restored my phone from the old backup, my new photos were gone. I don't think they were saved to iCloud either.

Without a backup with the photos on it, you will not be able to recover them.

  • Is there any way I can retrieve photos from my iPhone after restoring the phone?

    Hi,
Hoping someone can help!! Not a very technical person so would appreciate any advice.
I plugged my phone (iPhone 4) in to my laptop and it must have started to update to new software, anyway now iTunes doesn't recognise my phone and is telling me it is in recovery mode and needs to be restored but doing this I would lose my photos I think.
The photos I need to retrieve are only a few days old but I didn't put them on my laptop. Not sure about a backup I haven't done one but does this happen automatically when syncing and how do I find out what which photos are there?
    Thanks

The update can not start by itself. It requires manual intervention.
If the phone is in recovery mode, there is nothing left on it. If you didn't have your photos backed up or synced to PhotoStream, they are gone.

  • HT201302 how can i delete photos from my iphone after uploading in Iphoto even if i say not to keep on phone

how can i delete photos from my iphone after uploading in Iphoto even if i say not to keep on phone

    Hello paolo@spring,
Just as photos that were taken more than 30 days ago remain on your MacBook Air, so will photos that are deleted from your iPhone.
Photos in My Photo Stream are saved on the iCloud server for 30 days.
Because your Mac and PC have more storage than your iOS devices, you can choose to download all of your My Photo Stream photos automatically.
In iPhoto or Aperture preferences on your Mac, select Photos (or Photo Stream) > My Photo Stream > Automatic Import. All of your photo stream photos will import into your Events, Projects, Photos, Faces, and Places folders in iPhoto or Aperture.

  • My new iphone 6 plus has been restoring from iCloud backup for days.  I do not have all my apps or music yet

my new iphone 6 plus has been restoring from iCloud backup for days.  I do not have all my apps or music yet.  How do I fix it?

    Hello Bernharp,
Thank you for participating in the Apple Support Communities.
It sounds like your iPhone 6 Plus is taking a long time to restore from an iCloud backup. I can understand why you'd be concerned after several days of waiting.
This might happen if your backup contains a lot of content such as pictures or your Wi-Fi connection isn't consistent.
If the restore still hasn't completed, take a look at the information in the "Restoring my device from an iCloud backup is taking a long time" and "A message says restore incomplete or some items could not be restored" sections of this Support article:

  • Is there any way to retrieve photos from an IPhone backup on a PC?

Recently restored iPhone. Realized camera roll pix had not been synced properly. Attempted to retrieve photos to no avail. Where do the pix reside and can i retrieve them on a PC back to the phone? Any help appreciated.

If the photos were on the iphone when the last sync was performed, then you should be able to restore from backup.

  • Retrieving photos from stolen iPhone

    Hi there,
I had my phone stolen whilst overseas about a month ago. Luckily I backed up my phone to my PC before I went away so have been able to access all those files I left behind and sync them onto my new phone. However there are many photos I took before the phone was stolen which should be backed up to iCloud. The last iCloud backup was the day my phone was taken so all of the photos should be there, I just don't know how to access them.
When I got my new phone I tried to do a restore from iCloud so that I'd have all of my photos but it was taking hours and then it kept saying the internet connection ceased and would start all over again. After numerous attempts I gave up on iCloud restore and restored from my PC iTunes sync instead (but minus the holiday snaps). Is it possible to access iCloud from my PC so that I can simply retreive the missing photos or do I have to do a complete iCloud restore and wait a million years for it to do so or risk it not happening at all?
    Cheers for your help :-)

I see two avenues for you to pursue.
    1. Restore from the cloud. It may take a while, but just plug your iPhone into power and let it do its thing.
    2. Retrieve the photos from Photo Stream. If you were ever connected to a Wi Fi network while on vaction (preferably over night) then it is possible most of the photos got uploaded to Photo Stream.
For the latter solution, on your new iPhone (which I'm making an assumption you bought) once you've logged into your iCloud account launch the Photos app, tap Albums then Photo Stream. In the Photo Stream album tap the "share" icon in the upper right of the screen, then tap all the photos you want to retrieve and tap the "save" button along the bottom. This will save all the photos to yoru local storage.

  • I used to be able to pull photos from my iphone into my itunes but something has changed. I dont remember how I did it before but I think an option is missing. Does anyone know what the process was for moving pics from your iphone to your itunes?

I cant download the new iTunes soflware on my PC because I have not yet been able to sync my photos from my phone to my itunes. If I update to the new software on my pc, for some reason I can't then update my phone software. What Ive had to do the past few times is go the the Apple Store and have them load the new iTunes on my phone for me but then that means I lose all my pics. I dont remember how I used to get my photos from my phone to my itunes but i know i used to be able to. I think I lost some of my options. Does anyone know what this could be?  PS: I have the iphone 3g and Windows XP on my PC

Refer to this article under section 4: Verify that the Apple Mobile Device USB Driver is installed

  • Retrieving photos from my iphone on icloud

I lost my phone and I'm pretty sure it was stolen because the battery was charged but it has been off all day so I can't track it. I am wondering how I can view my photos that I backed up on iCloud. They aren't showing up on icloud.com and I downloaded the iCloud desktop manager on my PC and they aren't showing up in my photos on my computer either. I don't think I had the photo stream enabled but I did have my photos backed up to iCloud, so is there any way to view them without loading them on another iphone? I'm not worried about anything else I just don't want to lose my pictures!

Sorry, you can only use the back up to restore to a replacement device.

  • How do I get Lightroom to delete photos from my iPhone after importing them?

Lightroom 4 imports photos and videos from my iPhone and puts them where I want them to go, and names the directories the way I want. All good. But it also leaves the photos on the phone to be manually deleted. Is there some way to have it delete the photos after import?

    Not from Lightroom.

  • HT201302 If i delete photos on my iphone after they have been downloaded to my mac will they be sync and delete on my computer??? Silly question??? HELP ; )

I have connected my iphone to my mac and my photos have been transfered.... The option to delete my photos on my phone has come up....If i go ahead and delete the photos on my phone will my photos on my ipad be deleted?  I guess my question is will i loose those photos in any way when i delete them from my iphone?  Thanks.

It depends on what you mean by "backed to your Mac." If you have just done a backup of the phone to the Mac via iTunes, then you should NOT delete them from your phone since the only way you would be able to access the photos would be by doing a complete restore of the backup to the phone and that would wipe out anything more current on the phone.
If you copied the photos to your Mac via a USB cord as described in Import photos and videos from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to your Mac or Windows PC - Apple Support then you can safely delete the photos from the phone. Note that you should be sure to have a good backup plan in place for your Mac so that if something were to happen to it you wouldn't lose the photos.
If the photos were sent to iPhoto via Photo Stream you can delete them from the phone if you are certain that the photos have been copied from the Shared - iCloud section of iPhoto into the Library - Events section of iPhoto. That can be done manually or you can open iPhoto and go to the menu named iPhoto > Preferences > iCloud > and insure that there is a checkmark in front of Automatic Import.

  • HT1296 trying to sync 2,000 pictures from my iphone to mac has been soooo slow. Is there an easier, faster way?

Does anyone one know the fastest wasy to upload 2,000 pictures from my iphone to mac computer? Iphoto is what I am using to upload the pictures.
    THANK YOU!!!

How long has it been since you setup the iPhone again and entered your iCloud information? You might just have to give it a little more time to finish adding the other Photo Stream photos.
Try checking the Photo Stream on your PC or Mac.
    iCloud: Photo Stream FAQ
On your Mac, they appear in the Photo Stream view in iPhoto or Aperture. In iPhoto 9.4 or later or in Aperture 3.4 or later, open the My Photo Stream album in the Photo Stream view.
On a PC using Windows 8, from the Start screen, select Photo Stream. On a PC using Windows 7 or VIsta, click the Windows Start button, and then Pictures. Click Photo Stream under the Favorites menu in the panel on the left. Double-click My Photo Stream to view your photos.

  • How to I recovery data history from my iPhone 5 that has been deleted ?

How can i recovery data history about Safari that was deleted from my iPhone 5 ? Can someone please help me.

When you connect your phone to PC, you may easily find that iTunes will automatically sync with your iPhone, and if you press "trust" this computer, the data including safari history may be automatically backed up in iTunes. That is to say, to recover the safari history, you just need to plug your phone in the PC you connected before. If you haven't connect your iPhone to any computer yet, may be you need some data recovery software for iPhone, because you have not backups, and you can only restore the deleted safari history directly from your phone,

  • Is there any way I can retrieve photos from my iphone 4 using a new computer (dont have access to the one its synced to) and the screen on the iphone is broken but the phone works? Help!

I've broken the screen on my iphone 4 but it lights up so i know its still working, I synced it to a laptop I dont own anymore
and my new laptop wont allow me access to the iphone even though it knows its an iphone and its plugged into the usb.
I've some irreplacable pictures on the phone which i'm desperate not to lose so please help! or is my best bet
sending the phone off to have the screen replaced?

If these are photos that were synced to your phone, the only way to extract them from your phone is third-party software, like this:
