Am i able to transfer iwork from my brother's macbook to mine?

my brother has iwork on his 2008 macbook pro. i have 2011 macbook pro. is it possible to transfer iwork from his to mine?

Not really. The license prohibits it. However you can purchase the apps from the Mac App Store for a very reasonable price.
