Am I correct in thinking that there is no way to capture a full screen on my iPhone 5?
I am under the impression that you cannot take a full screen capture of a page that requires scrolling to see all of it. The Home+Power button combo only captures the visible portion of the screen but not the rest that page. Am I right?
That is the reason it is called Screen Shot, it wil take a quick snap of whatever is there on the Screen,visible to the user at that very instant.
So the whole content capture is not possible by default features.

Mac thinks that there's a monitor connected when there isn't?
My MBP thinks that there's an external monitor connected to the computer, when in fact there is not. My solution is to simply use "Mirror display" so that the screen's edges don't lead into another non-existent monitor. However, I'd really like to fix this. I thought this was a software problem at first, but after reformatting the computer, I am starting to believe that it's a hardware problem.

When you run System Preferences/Displays is it showing something else ?
Are you sure it's not 'Spaces' at work (multiple desktops) ?

I really think that Notes should tell you on it's home screen how many notes you have.
tonight i logged into iCloud on my PC laptop. I could not find a note. So i went to my iPhone 5s and i found my note using the simple search. And as soon as i tapped into it on my iPhone, it suddenly showed up on my laptop.
I really think that Notes should tell you on it's home screen (both on the iphone and on a computer of any kind) how many notes you have so you know if they are not syncing correctly, and if notes are being lost.
Also, there should be a way to download all the notes via any computer to a directory full of simple text files for the exact number of notes you have.
I have 42 notes. then I should be able to download all 42 into their own separate text files. Make the filename of the text file the first line of the Note, just like it shows up on the iDevice.
And finally, is there a character/size limit to the Note?

My husband and I are divorcing and we have used his apple ID for our 2 apple tv's. He changed his password and now I no longer have access to the 300 or more movies, tv shows and music. He keeps telling me that , there is no way for us both to have it. So, since his Apple ID was the one programmed into our Apple TV's he has custody to everything. I know there has to be a solution for this, because I can't be the be the only person this has ever happened too!

Anything Downloaded with a Particular Apple ID is tied to that Apple ID and Cannot be Merged or Transferred to a Different Apple ID.

Has anyone else who uses AT&T as their carrier been told if you cannot access your voicemail through your iPhone that there is no way to check your voicemails? This is an issue since I had to send my phone in for repair. Thank you
You received incorrect information from AT&T. You can indeed access your voicemail without your iPhone.
Call AT&T at (800) 331-0500 (assuming you're in the U.S.). This is a 24 hour a day, 7 day a week number. Ask them how to access your voicemail. Normally, you would just do this by dialing your number from another phone, typing "*" once your voicemail recording starts, and entering your password. You don't know your password, so it's probably the last four digits of your phone number or perhaps the seven - or ten-digit phone number. Let the AT&T person tell you. -
I just purchased an Iphone and love it except I'm surprised and annoyed that there is no way to create a group within contacts. I coach a youth basketball team and routinely want to fire off a mass email or text to the same group. Am I missing something?
When I click on my contacts icon on my phone there is a Groups choice in the upper left hand corner. Make sure you are in All Contacts and not a specific person.

I had been using iMessage all along with my friend who is using an iPhone 6. I choose to send a sms to him as I do not have any connection, after that there is no way I can send him an iMessage again. Can anyone advise how do I switch back? I had tried resetting the network setting, toggling off the sms but to no avail.

RegardsWhat do you mean you choose to send him an SMS because you don't have any connection. What kind of connection? Delete the thread with that individual that you sent via SMS, and as long as you have iMessage activated on your device and your friend has an active data connection, it should recognize that and send as an iMessage. Another scenario is to have the friend send you a message that you can respond to.

There is an extra dot on the lock screen of my iphone and on the top bar of the phone screen 5 (ex: "10.20."). What should I do?
If you swipe down from that bar, it will pull up your notification center.

You can open the Code Inspector Window to have the code completely separate from the Design/Document window. You can also then move the CI window to a separate monitor if you like.

No but you can go to the deleted messages just after you delete them and undelete. Once the carrier deletes it from the system you cannot get it back.

Do you think that there will be a new mac book with leopard in januarry.
When Mac OS X Leopard comes out in Spring 07 do you think there will be a new macbook. I am now debating over weather to buy my macbook now or later because i am worried that they will do what they did with the core 2 duo and make me able to get like a 2GB macbook for the price i payed for a 512MB macbook.

The Original MBP was launched Jan/Feb 2006 and updated to Core 2 Duo in November 2006. It's unlikely that a further upgrade will come within 6 - 9 months IMHO, but as I said at the very start, "who knows?'
If the computer you are considering will satisfy your computing needs now and into the immediate future (say 2 to 3 years), then make your decision based on that.
When I bought my first powerBook G4, it was updated 3 months later with faster processors etc, did I care? Nope. Why? Because the one I had was more gthan capable for my needs. It only slowed up too much a couple of months ago. I suspected a Core2Duo macBook Pro was due to be announced, so waited until it was and bought one to replace my 867Mhz PowerBook.
Frankly I don't care what Apple do with their new models now. I have a Mac Pro, I have a PowerMac G5 Quad and a MacBook Pro, I have no plans on buying any more computers for a couple of years or until the ones I have just don't hack it any more. Then I will be interested in what Apple are offering.
You have to understand that with Intel inside, as I have mentioned in a few threads previously, changes will take place quicker than they did with the PowerPC platform. They've got to since Apple now use the same insides as PC's do. This now makes them directly comparible. If you look at how fast PC's change, it will give you some indication of how quickly Apple will have to update their offerings to either stay ahead of or in line with other computer manufacturers offerings.
Technology always moves on. I buy when something is available that will more than meet my computing needs currently and for the foreseeable future (2 to 3 years on). I don't really care when an upgrade comes along and supercedes the specs on my machine. There's nothing you can do about it. Technology moves on.
Intel have already announced their Quad core technology, so I would guess somewhere down the line Apple will be offering Quad Core CPU machines. However, as the number of cores per chip increases, the Ghz per core drops, so you have to weigh up whether you want a Core 2 Duo running at 2.33Ghz, or a Quad Core running at say 1.6Ghz or less?
If you are worried about buying and then your system becomes outdated, metaphorically, by being upgraded shortly after, why not wait for the launch of the much rumoured Apple Super-Scooper Turbo Charged, time travelling MacBook UltraPro Extreme 332, a 332 core Intel CPU running at 2.0Ghz per core on a 15,000,000Ghz FSB. But then that would be updated too of course. Oh well just accept what's on offer now and accept changes will always be made to further enhance and better current offerings. Alternatively just wait forever, eventually there will be a point where computers don't or can't be upgraded or updated to further enhance them. Not in my lifetime though. -
Seriously? Is there not any way to view and read DRM-protected books downloaded on iTunes on my MacBook Pro? I cannot believe that there is not any way around this! I seem to constantly get confounded by what seems to be the most amazingly unbelievable conundrums with Apple despite having been a champion of the company for years and years. This relates to tethering on iPhone, external Apple hard drives only being usable with MacBook Air, and now this! If anyone is aware of a hack or way around this I would appreciate some guidance. Is there any time frame for when all apps have to be updated to be full screen on the iPhone 5?
A lot of my apps still dont open in full screen, as Im sure most of you have noticed. Is there any word as to when/if developers are forced to make this update to use the full screen? Its pretty lame that some apps are still the same size as they were on my iphone 4. Definitely takes away from one of the biggest new features of the phone.
No one can 'force' the developers to do this. It's their app, they can do as they please. As the customer, you can choose to use it or not.

Program that should open in silent mode opens in full screen
I have a program with the following startup shortcut:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\MYOB\PDF Manager\PDFManager.exe" -s "C:\Program Files (x86)\MYOB\PDF Manager"
According to the software developer (MYOB Accounting) this shortcut should start the program 'hidden' and in the notifications area of the taskbar. However, for every employee who logs in, this program actually opens full screen. MYOB have (rightly
or wrongly) suggested the problem is our system because no one else is reporting the problem to them.
So, if anyone has any guidance on what is going on, or on how I can further troubleshoot the issue, I would be most appreciative.

Are you opening the program in remote desktop session?
Did you provide any group policy setting for any of the program?
Does this issue occur for all users?
