Am I eligible to get free iWork with used iPad?

Hello. I'm interested in buying a used iPad from a friend that bought an iPad mini after September, 2013.
The question is simple: do I get the free iWork promotion or not?
I've read in other forums that if I DFU restore the iPad, I can get those apps, but I don't know if they were successful or not with those attempts.

No, you don't. But your friend may. You cannot use any third-party apps installed by your friend anyway. So you will have to purchase them for yourself with your Apple ID.
The iWork apps are free with a new iOS device since 1 SEP 2013. They are free with a new Mac since 1 OCT 2013. They are also free with the upgrade to OS X Mavericks 10.9 if you had the previous version installed when you upgraded.

I believe to upgrade or an update is actually free purchases...so for billing purposes you'll need a method of payment...either a credit card, or PayPal attached to your Apple ID...NOTE, you won't be charged...it's just a part of the check and balance verification.

I am unable to get a connection with my ipad with my wifi router. Will I need to upgrade my router

Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.

4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)
    •    Launch Settings app
    •    Tap on Wi-Fi
    •    Tap on the blue arrow of the Wi-Fi network that you connect to from the list
    •    In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

Get free iWork on iPad Air with different account?

A friend visited the US couple of weeks ago, and brought me an iPad Air. While in there, she used it with her Apple ID, and got the free iWork suite. When she handed it to me, I erased it and associated it to my ID.
If I go to the App Store I see I have to pay for iWork. This seems logical, because otherwise everybody could get it for free using a friend's iDevice, but I was wondering: is there any way of un-doing her registration, or un-linking her apple ID from the free apps?

I bought an used iPad Air with 4G. Now I would like to get the free apps (iWork and iLife) made by Apple. However, I cannot register the iPad to my Apple ID (last user has already unregistered this iPad from his Apple ID) which also means I can't get those apps for free.
Is there a chance to get those apps? Or do I have to buy them?

I can use my Apple ID on the iPad (logging in to the appstore and so forth).
What I can't do is to go to supportprofile.apple.com and enter the iPad's serial number and register this product. It says "According to our records, this serial number is registered to another Apple ID. If you have more than one Apple ID, log in to My Support Profile with that Apple ID to see your other registered products. Not sure if you have another Apple ID? "

You can set up an account with the payment type of None. If the current Apple ID you want to use was created more than 48 hours ago, you won't be able to change the payment type to None and will need to either create a new Apple ID account (using an previously unused email address) or provide a valid payment method to the account such as a credit/debit card or iTunes gift card.

I am using iPad , I have like 3 games installed on my unit. When it is time to update them I have no problems , I just click update and it does. My problem is when I go to App Store an try to download new FREE games it asks for my pw which I enter then it wants me to enter cc or debit info for a FREE game is this correct. Any way to get free ringtones without using a mac or itunes?

I am a new iphone user. I have a PC..with itunes on it, yet my husband has a mac with all our new music on it (dont want to open itunes on my pc and have it download all the new stuff...satellite internet can't handle the transfer!)

HT3986 I have a Macbook Pro, have recently upgraded to OS 7, have installed the bootcamp option, and am not getting any sound with using windows applications.

I am getting no sound with I use windows programs on my Macbook Pro. I am operating with the bootcamp option. The sound works fine with I am running the MAC OS 7
I read that my problem could be a driver, but I am unsure how to get this driver and how to install it.

I have an Apple ID that's associated with my 5C. This was done when I bought my 5C last year. Recently I bought an Ipad 2 from a friend and it was reset to factory settings. I signed in to the Ipad with my ID (to ICloud, App Store and Itunes). It refuses to download more than one purchased item (which was purchased with my 5C) to my Ipad 2. How do I associate my Apple ID with the Ipad 2?

I'd suggest you don't have any credentials stored on the devices or before you know where you are your students will be maxing out the credit card.
For normal domestic use I can purchase an app in iTunes and install it on all of the devices that I & my family own. I'm not certain however what licensing provisions apply once you get to multiple machines in an education or corporate context.

Go to the App Store on your iPad which should open to Featured. If not, tap on Featured at the lower left of the screen & scroll down to Collections & tap on New to the App Store? then scroll down to Apps Made by Apple & tap. You should now see the iWork & iLife apps as "FREE."

So, I just upgraded to iOS7 and one of the things I was looking forward to was having access to the iWork and iLife apps which Apple announced would be free on newly purchased devices. I bought a 32GB 5th gen iPod touch on Sunday (15th September 2013) and activated it on the same day, but I can not find anyway to access the apps for free. When I go into the app store on iOS 7 and go to the "Apps Made by Apple" section - all of the apps are still only avaialbe to purchase at their regular prices, not for free. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Same here. My dad bought a new iPod touch like yours today. It came with iOS 6 so I upgraded it but I haven't got any idea of how donloading those apps for free. Lets hope Apple gives us an answer soon...
