Ok so the headset arrived March 3rd, and I've tried downloading the driver and app, to obtain the control center for the headset numerous times. Everytime it just takes me to a page which asks me to identify the product I'm looking for and it is like it just keeps looping. I select the wireless wow headset and it just directs me back to the same page. The links for the downloads always appear red and never even attempt to download anything to my comp. I've tried dropping all the secure settings on my browser while trying the links. Nothing has seemed to work. They don't even attempt to download, they just keep redirecting to the creative products page. I allow acrtive x apps to load when prompted and once again i've dropped all the secure settings while I try to download this and always get the same result. What the f am I doing wrong? I'm running Vista 32 bit, with all the latest updates. Plz help, anybody else having this problem?

I bought a WRT54GX ver. 2 router. I wanna know how to setup the IP address say 128.1.50.136 with subnet mask 255.255.0.0 (Class B network)? By the way, 128.1.0.0 is my network zone.
If the router can't change, what should I do? Any other router support Class B network?

It does not have that because it does not support it... the router runs on CLASS C only because it was designed and made for SOHO only... bussiness lines of Linksys or Cisco can do that....but not this router...

BEFW11S4- Secured netw'k, but linksys unsecured ntwk still in Avail Netwrks. How do I remove?

I have secured my network, but on my wireless laptop, when I go to view available wireless networks, a neighbor's network and a "linksys" network appears. My new secure, renamed network does not because of the filters, etc. I am pretty sure that it is my router sending out the signal...
Why or what causes the "linksys" network to show up? Is it due to file/printer sharing? Should I re-run that set-up?
How can I delete it or disable it? When I view the networks on my laptop, it asks if I want to connect, but I am connected on my secure network.
Is it possible to have two networks running at once?
I appreciate any help on this topic!

That is not your network but most probably your neighbor's ....so youre like worrying for the neighbor's cat...anybody can broadcast their network , they prefer to do that so that is not your concern in this case. You have to only be worried on your own... ^_^

Using two wireless routers for two separate networks

I have one WRT54G router and a newly purchased E2000 router that replaced the WRT54G . I have one DSL connection coming into the house.
I have the DSL going directly into my main E2000 router which runs my existing wireless home network and it does this wonderfully. My son wanted the older WRT54G router to create his own network where he has it set up for his own purposes so I gave it to him. He has everything set up to where we have two functioning networks that do not conflict which is great however he ran an Ethernet cable from the e2000 to the WRT54G to make this happen. This cable is a problem since it basically is about 50 feet of ugly cable running up my stairs to his room. Is there a way to have the routers still work in tandem as they are now to manage two separate networks but to instead have them connected wirelessly and eliminate the existing wired setup?

You would need a third party firmware like DDWRT to do that (it will void the warranty too)
Or you need a wireless bridge like the WET54G or WAP54G set to bridged mode

AD RMS 2.1 - API Server is not Syncing templates from server

Hello, I couldn't find any information on this before, apologies if this is a duplicate response.
We have a server running AD RMS 2.1, it's currently set up in production mode. We have an API that runs on IIS in that box which protects documents, among other things. IIS is running using the ADRMSSVC user, our AD RMS install is running with the ADRMSAdmin
user.
We have created 4 templates that we wish for the API to make use of when protecting documents, however those templates do not appear to be available to the application. In doing a SafeNativeMethods.IpcGetTemplateList call, we're only actually seeing one
of them. The ADRMSAdmin user, while running powershell Get-RMSTemplates only sees the same template.
I have turned off every caching option I can find, but it appears that neither of these users "knows" about the templates that we have created through the server. I have even renamed the template which is showing up, and that name change is not
being reflected through the API or powershell. If I displace the %allusersprofile%/Microsoft/MSIPC/Server/Templates directory, I get an error through both those means that "The operation being requested was not performed because the user has not
been authenticated."
The machine is running in AWS - is it possible that resizing the machine has somehow voided the Machine Certificate, and therefore the machine cannot connect to ADRMS to get the new templates?
If it helps at all, I have exported the templates to a shared directory, and all 4 XML files that we have created show up there just fine.
Any help would be much appreciated.

i've been having this kind of problem as well. after so many troubleshooting, the problem is in the actual ADRMS webservices (/_wmcs/*).
microsoft's ADRMS werbservices is maintaining an internal cache instead of querying for the list of templates from its SQL database. This cache doesn't get sync'd with its ADRMS database even when we change CacheMonitorTimeInterval and other cache related
policies in DRMS_ClusterPolicies!
I've also changed all the web.config of /_wmcs/ webservices so that cache is disabled but this doesn't work as well.
The only way to make the sync happen is to perform an IISRESET. Only then will the new and updated templates are returned by ADRMS webservices. now, that's just really retarded! Should I write a piece of functionality to recycle the app pool after every
request from client applications including Excel.exe? wow!

Should I update my WRT54GS firmware?

I have a WRT54GS V1.1 router. I haven't updated the firmware since I bought the router in December, 2004. It is currently at version 3.37.2 of the firmware. The latest version is 4.71.1.
Should I risk a download?
I'm trying to get my daughter's new notebook to work off the router. We haven't tried everything, but I'm wondering if I need to update the firmware. It always seems that updating or upgrading software causes more problems than it solves.

If you are not having problems with that yet, don't... it's like a last resort thing...

Connect E2000 to WRT160N wirelessly?

I ve tried to read previous similat posts but dont quite understand if its possible or not. I just got a linksys E2000 hoping that the signal would reach the whole house includung the backyard pool/area but it doesnt. I want to try to connect my WRT160N wireless ly to the E2000 in hopes that I can place it near a window next to the pool to extend my wireless range. is this possible? If not what are my other options? (outside of the obvious - move the E2000 closer)

HELP!!! main page is in gibberish!!

okay when i try to log onto http://192.168.1.1/ the language is in some kind of foreign language. i tried to translate it to everything but its in none of the languages. I bought this router yesterday and its been like that ever since

It's not gibberish...it's just in a different language....this is a german release... you should have bought a UK or US version... the firmware and the language indicated on the screenshot says so... you should replace that with those instead okay?!

WRT54GS v6 Bad Display of Setup Page on Browser

When I access the router setup page on my browser via 192.168.1.1, I get an improperly displayed page. No menu items are readable at the top. I only see clearly a limited amount of data with the IP address, configuration choice, etc. This makes the page unusable for making any changes. This is true using both Firefox and Internet Explorer. Has anyone else seen this problem?

You should use IE and lower your browser settings, delete cookies and cache... you can try a different computer on the network also... Some problems with zonealarm were reported here also a few days ago, you should always make sure all traffic from the router be allowed... since this is the 2nd router already it would be a longshot to think that it is a router problem... ayt?!

Need help on setting up router

Hi, I have a WRT54G wireless G router. I have a problem connecting to the internet through the router. If I connect an internet cable directly from my modem to my laptop, the internet works fine. If I connect the modem to the router and the router to my laptop, the message on my computer says 'limited or no connectivity'. I have set to detect IP and DNS automatically on my laptop.
Even when I use the linksys EasyLink, it says it does not support my router. In the router setup page, the setting is set to 'Automatic DHCP'. Why is the problem? Can anyone help me? Thanks!

You just need to set one up and everyone uses that password to connect to your network.

Networking a Mac to a PC

I just set up my wrt54g router on my mac so I could wirlessly use a pc in another room for internet and printing. The printer won't work on the pc however(I am getting internet). I looked through the linksys self help for enabling printer/file sharing but only came up with configs for a PC. Does anyone know what I need to do on my mac to get them to 'see' eachother? (I configured the PC per the linsys instructions.)

External (dynamic) IP not refreshed automatically?

Hi all. Is WRT54G (v.6) supposed to refresh the external IP every time my ISP's DHCP changes it?
My ISP (Rogers, Canada) started changing IP-s daily, it's become really annoying that I have to refresh the IP manually on the router every day. I have the latest firmware 1.0.0.9

If you are not on XP and you did not install the activex components on the computer that the tool is running on, it will say that error, can you try adjusting the MTU to 1492, 1400, 1300 or 576 and check which one would hold your connection? Your IP should change automatically and the Internet information also should be automatically obtained by your computers (as with the changes in the router), try that first and check if it still disconnects you.

Figured Out Why AirDisk Shows No Files/Folders

I think I figured it out. Maybe I'm just an idiot or something, but I have Windows XP and gigantic music library. (About 100gb). When I plugged my hard drive into my Airport Extreme, I couldn't figure out why all of my home videos and pictures were showing up, and none of my music was visible.
Someone on this forum suggested that you transfer all of your files to your hard drive over the airport network. Which seems to work.
Until I came across folders with '&' signs in them. As soon as I would add a folder containing an ampere sign, everything in the folder that I was adding additional folders to would disappear.
I noticed this only happened with the ampere sign in the folder name. It doesn't necessarily happen with ampere signs in the file names.
I have Windows XP and this is fixing my problem. I'm going through and manually changing all of the ampere signs to the word 'and', and it's solving one of my problems.
Like I said, maybe I'm just a retard, but this is working for me. I'm still having problems with my Airport consistently dropping my connections (both ethernet and wireless) to my computers. If anyone has any information on why this might be happening, I'd be happy to know about it.

I'm more than frustrated with this product. I'll try to make this brief.
I purchased the new AEBS looking to be able to share a printer and an external hard drive between 3 computers. Two PCs and a G4 imac.
My problems began when I found that I couldn't see the 250gb of music, pictures, and home videos I have stored on my external. The first place I went to solve the problem was here. I found that many people have the same problem as me and the problem doesn't seem to have an official fix.
The only way I could find to remedy this issue was to follow advice given to others on this forum-- simply transfer files to the external drive over the AEBS network.
I'm doing that. I've been doing it for a few days. I'm only about halfway through because I'm getting a transfer rate of .5-1.5mbps. Which I find to be rather insane.
Also for the past few days, the Airport has been dropping its connection with all of my computers. Spontaneously. Not just the internet connection, everything. Even though the AEBS is displaying a green light, and a wireless connection looks to be available, the Airport Utility tells me that no AEBS is available to connect to.
The only way for me to remedy this is to unplug the AEBS and to plug it back in.
Remember me mentioning that I'm trying to transfer 250gb at around 1mbps over this network just to be able to USE the airdisk feature? Imagine doing that with the connecting continually dropping. Several times a day. In the middle of a 4 day long transfer. (Mind you, I'm connected via ethernet connection. And it's still dropping.)
This is ridiculous. I've contacted Apple support, they made me reset the fricken thing. Did nothing, as expected.
I find it insane that I have to spend 4 days transferring files from my hard drive over my Airport network just to be able to use them. And I find it even more insane that I have to unplug and plug in my AEBS each time I'd like to use it because at some point over the course of the day, it dropped my connection and it never came back.
I'm using WPA/WPA Personal, tried WEP, and it still drops.
Any advice?

This is also happening with other strange characters not common to the english language, like the ae symbol, I've discovered.
But I'm still having weird issues with the airport dropping connections. I called apple support and was told to simply reset the AEBS. It did nothing, solved no problem I had and that was all they could do for me.
I'm still experiencing problems with the airport dropping my connections with my computers. As a matter of fact, the airport utility is currently reporting that there is no base station within range, yet it's allowing me to connect to the wireless network created by the base station and I'm still somehow able to surf the internet. It just claims there's no base station within range.
Is anyone else experiencing problems like this one? Does it seem like a problem worth an exchange? Or is this just a shotty quick release, fix later situation common to many AEBSs?

I have the Linksys Wireless-G Broadband Router with SRX200 (WRT54GX2) and can connect to the internet [and to the router] using a wireless connection. However, when I can connect an ethernet cable to the router it is not detected. I get the following message "Link is down. No cable detected"

You should check if your card is enabled, try to use other cables also, try other computers on the same port and see if you at least have a light lit on it.. isolation is the key, coz you need to know where the problem is, it can either be the ethernet card, the cable or the port on the router that is derfective.. ayt?!
