Am I just being paranoid or is it possible my iPhone was hacked?
I have recieved strange SMS messages in the past, and researching things from the internet, I learned that these can be attempts to intrude on your device. These strange messages were from an email address that seemed to be comprised of random characters ([email protected] or something similar) and the text completely blank.
Also, I noticed that my Facetime app is open and running in the background at times when I haven't opened it myself and haven't recieved a call. I'm starting to get worried, is it possible that my phone has been hacked into? Note: I am using an iPhone 4 running iOS7.
Unless you have given someone access to your iPhone for at least 30 minutes so they would have time to jailbreak it you have not been hacked.
Facetime does not run in the background but it will appear in the recently used list.

Is there something wrong with my ps4 or am i just being paranoid?
I noticed that when i try to play some games textures take a while to load. It's especially noticeable in Battlefield 4, when a map loads and i spawn i have to wait like 30 seconds or more for the textures to load. I wouldn't care too much about it but it always took way less time. I think i also noticed it in Witcher 3, some textures just take a really long time to load especially in Novigrad. In Batman Arkham Knight i can notice it too on some street signs and ground textures when i'm flying around. Is there something wrong with my ps4 or am i just being really paranoid?

My iphone got stolen yesterday night, I activated lost mode but the phone was off and couldnt be tracked, today i just got an email about the last place the phone was found yesterday night, its off again, i went there but they said that nobody has found an iphone, police does not do anything also, what should i do?My iPhone was stolen. Straight away I used the findmyiphone app. No surprise that the phone had been turned off, rendering the app totally useless.
I thought its ok, I've got a pin code. My brother then goes on to tell me that they are easily bypassed.
My brother states that if you put an iPhone in dfu mode, connect that iPhone too iTunes
That iTunes detects the said phone is in dfu mode and does a system restore.
Wiping the phone and giving the Theif a brand new iPhone!!!

Security Question: Am I being paranoid?
I am connected to the internet through my wireless Airport Extreme. Last night my printer started making noises, as if someone were going to print something. It was late and I knew my wife was already asleep, but I went upstairs just to make sure she hadn't gotten up and was using our MacBook, but she wasn't. The printer made the same set of noises again. I turned it off and then turned it on again, and the noises stopped.
But since then I have been wondering if someone had made their way into my computer via the router. Is that possible? Am I being possible? Is there anything I should do? TIA.Yes you are being paranoid. Printers need to do maintenance routines and that almost certainly is what you were hearing.

I have a verizon iphone 5c and I took out the SIM card just being curious and put it back in, now I can only use my phone on wifi and I can't use 4G or LTE strictly wifi. How can I fix this?
Have you tried resetting your device by pressing and holding the Home button and power button until the silver apple appears? If that doesn't work, try resetting the network settings. Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings.
If that fails, you may possibly have damaged the SIM. Verizon will need to give you a new one.

After Effects freezes when working with footage which is just being rendered... this is a bug which was introduced with CS6 and I wonder if this is really so hard to fix. When you are working with footage from a 3d application which is just being rendered (in my case on a small farm via deadline) it has become impossible to work with After Effects. AE freezes for several minutes and only eventually returns to work. I suspect After Effects is reloading newly rendered frames in the background although I have disabled that in the preferences. With CS5 i can work on the frames already rendered without any problems. I filed a bug report about a year ago.

DanielIf you don't have Service Pack 1 for Windows, you should get it. No guarantees, but it may help. For the moment, I'd just wait until the 3D renders are complete before importing... there isn't much else you can do at the moment, anyway.
There's only one application I've seen that can reliably, "works-every-time", read media files as they're recorded: Avid Newscutter...but then, it was created to do precisely that. AE wasn't. -
Just being able to view billing history on my iPhone is hard to find. Is this apple making it hard for their customers ?
At the moment you can only view your purchase history on a computer's iTunes via the Store > View Account menu option, you stores on iOS devices don't have all the features/functions as you find on a computer's iTunes

I've never seen this issue, and I handle many iPads, of all versions. WiFi issues are generally local to the WiFi router - they are not all of the same quality, range, immunity to interference, etc. You have distance, building construction, and the biggie - interference.
At home, I use Apple routers, and have no issues with any of my WiFi enabled devices, computers, mobile devices, etc - even the lowly PeeCees. I have locations where I have Juniper Networks, as well as Aruba, and a few Netgears - all of them work as they should.
The cheaper routers, Linksys, D-Link, Seimens home units, and many other no name devices have caused issues of various kinds, and even connectivity.
I have no idea what Starbucks uses, but I always have a good connection, and I go there nearly every morning and get some work done, as well as play.
You could try changing channels, 2.4 to 5 Gigs, changing locations of the router. I have had to do all of these at one time or another over the many years that I have been a Network Engineer.

I have been trying to log onto the Wounded Warriors Program Portal. I can Log in and then when I click on the rewards it tried to go to the page the just takes me back to the same page I was on. This is very frustrating. I am new to the Mac World so please bare with me. Please tell me there is help somewhere for this issue. It seems it is blocked or not letting me through. Both Mail and Safari have Activity Options that open a screen that shows you just how the site or mail is loading.
In Safari if you are having trouble with a site in activity you will see the count of items being downloaded - and if an error occurs it shows red.
On the top is the number of items it is loading or trying to load and the count should be increasing. If the count stops, and you don't have errors it may be that too many people are going after the same site and your request just timed out. Have had the time out on a news site when trying to load a most popular article. -
My daughters iPad has just been factory restored from the apple shop, she was using my iTunes account with her email. When trying to create her own iTunes as she is the correct age it has come up that her email is already being used. How do we do this with he same email address

Thank you for the details of the issue you are experiencing when trying to create an Apple ID for your daughter. Because her email address is associated with your Apple ID, you are receiving the message that the email address is in use.
To remedy this, you will have to first remove her email address from your account using steps 1-3 of the section titled "How to add an additional email address that is already associated with another Apple ID" in the article below and then attempt to create her Apple ID with her email address:

If you have an email address that is already associated with another Apple ID, you may need to remove it from your other Apple ID before you can add it to your preferred Apple ID.
Sign in to My Apple ID with the Apple ID that has the email address already associated with it.

Click Save Changes, then click Sign Out at the top of the page.

The message "Your phone number is now being used for imessage on a new iPhone" Keeps appearing on my macbook pro. It also says "If you just activated iMessage on a new iPhone, you can ignore this alert." But the only option is to ignore the alert, because the only thing I can do with it is click "ok" and dismiss it. Is there a way I can look at a list of the devices using my iMessage account, and if there are devices that I don't recognize on that list, how can I block them from using my account?

Can anyone please help? Every time I start up my imac OSX 10.6 desktop my Aperture 3 programme opens up without being requested. Is it possible to stop this happening and only allow Aperture to open by using the desktop icon? Thank you for any assistance anyone may be able to give.

William's solution was much easier - just for completeness sake: The preferences panes to edit your startup items moved between the Mac OS X updates: I forgot that the "Users&Groups" preference pane used to be called "Users" in Mac OS X 10.6; it is the panel that you use to create new User accounts; and earlier systems had a separate preferences panel "Login" to enable and to disable the applications that are launched at login. Both are now combined in "Users&Groups". Sorry for sending you on a wild goose chase with the wrong Preferences panel.

Why did this pop up today?
Your Apple ID and phone number are now being used for iCloud on a new iPhone.Turned on my Mac Pro a few minutes ago and I got the following "POP-UP" message.
" Your Apple ID and phone number are now being used for iCloud on a new iPhone. " ( my iPhone is not new. )
" If you recently signed into "xxxxx iPhone" you can ignore this notification."
On the bottom of this pop-up window is an "OK" button. Well it's NOT "OK" No option is offered if it is not "OK".
I have made no changes to my iPhone whatsoever. Just normal use today. In my iCloud settings everything is turned off except sharing Contacts.
I'd suggest you log on to iCloud.com with your Apple ID, and then go to Settings and look in the "My Devices" settings for anything you don't recognize.
I just did this. All of the devices are iPhones, iPads, and Macintoshes that I own and am familiar with.
