Am I supposed to be excited by the 2014 release? Did I do something wrong. Very little of what took me two years to setup in premire and photoshop gone using this version. everything is start from scratch. who idea was that GRRRRR. Or, am I missing something here? So what your saying is IF I wish to use CC suite in the future. I must spend several weeks redoing setting sync promised to save for me, reset all scratch paths in all programs and redo all my prefrences, download and reinstall 4 dozen plugins if they are ever updated. Or am I missing something here? Can I cant find the magic solution. please help.

I find this upgrade a bit more modest than some of the updates to 7. For example, the December update that brought us Direct Link with SpeedGrade was awesome! This one, meh. Nothing quite as spectacular. (For me at least. There are those who might love the new Masks on every effect, or the new Master Clips feature.)
I do really like that I can set the distance for Step back and forward. Makes keyboard navigation someone easier for me. The Reverse Match Frame might come in handy in some rare occasion. Other than that, not much else for me in PP.
I do like the new scopes in SpeedGrade, though. That's a very welcome improvement.
The plug-ins seem to carry over fine, no need to reinstall, as 2014 uses the same plug-ins folder as 7.
It took only an hour or so to download and install the new versions, and maybe another 10 to 15 minutes to set them up the way I like. It's not that big a deal.

Migration Assistant & Assimilating/Merging Old & new accounts

I took a leap of faith by purchasing my latest new Mac, choosing the new Intel iMac and not a PPC. A huge leap in technology- G3 iBook 466SE Calmshell to a iMac 2.0 ICD 20" loaded w/2GB ram, 500GB Hard Drive, and worth the extra $75; 256MB of video ram. I totally dig the new iMac with the exception of a few minor quirks which I'll post them somewhere else in the discussions here.
Now on to my question at hand. When I 1st unpacked the new system I didn't use the Migration Assistant right away as I suppose I was excited and so were all of my friends and coworkers so I created a user account for my friends to play with at work for a day and for my other friends when we all got together one weekend to check it out. BTW Photo Booth and Comic Life rocks when showing it off! Anyway, I made a new account for myself and one for everyone else to use/play with. After several days went by, I decided to use Migration Assistant to move all my files from the iBook to the iMac. It took almost 3 hours! I suppose the length of time was consumed by Spotlight indexing the new data almost 40GB. My not so serious delima is that now I want to assimilate or merge all of the accounts into one. Not much to even worry about on the account I created for my friends to use, just a few Photo Booth pics and a Comic Life which I'm not worried about as I've made copies and emailed them out already. I want to merge my new account with my old one from my iBook without the loss of most of my email iTunes, music and new Safari bookmarks etc. Is there an easy way to do this or am I just unaware that this is almost a "no brainer"?

Move the files you want to keep from one account into the /Users/Shared/ folder while logged in to that account, and then log in from the other account and drag those files to your current home folder. Once you've moved everything you want out of an account's home folder, use the Accounts pane of System Preferences to delete that account.

A new phone is supposed to be exciting and having to worry about your data usage should not be one of the things on the list. We'd be happy to go over some steps to see what could be causing this usage. You mentioned that the data usage was the same with the 5C so we want to check your usage habits. We do have a new tool that allows you to check to see what the data is being used for on your account. How to view AT&T/Yahoo email on Excite 10?

I am new to this only used a laptop and desktop before. I have zero problem viewing my email with those PCs, but cannot with the Toshiba Excite 10.
I can start the tablet, connect to wifi and start up the browser fine. I can go to the URL for at&t/Yahoo mail fine, and login fine. However, when I'm logged on with the tablet all I see are news items and maybe ads; no inbox, etc.
Am I supposed to maybe use GMail, whatever that is? I have not that yet. At some point with the intitial use of the tablet 7 days ago I indicated my email ([email protected]), but I have no idea what that was supposed to do for me.
Remember, I'm ignorant when it comes to this new device, so please be gentle with your reply....<g>

Do you want to use web-based email for Yahoo or an e-mail application? I believe you should be able to access http://mail.yahoo.com to access your e-mail.

Can someone tell me why they discontinued the HDMI dock for the Excite 7.7?

I planned to order the dock today for the AT270 (Excite 7.7). After seeing in on the Toshiba Direct website for a couple of weeks, I went on today to order it and there was no longer a link for it (Funny though the google search still finds it).
Called Toshiba and after 20 minutes on the phone and pressuring a very non committal rep, he finally stated that they have discontinued the dock.
It's been out for a few weeks and already discontinued? Given that the Excite 7.7 does not have MHL support, how exactly am I supposed to connect my $500 paperweight to my tv?
I bought this tablet with the intent of using it to put presentations up on a tv (like my $250 Samsung Tab 7 does...) and now they discontinue the hardware that supports it?
Time to return it. Too bad really, excellent tablet otherwise.

If you are going to return it, why doesn't really matter. If you bought it with HDMI via the dock as an importatn use case, you should return it if you can.
There could be bunches of reasons why they dropped it. It didn't work. The tablet didn't work with it. It had compliance problems. They didn't think there would be enough demand to justify costs of bringing it to the market. And on and on.
Likely nobody who posts here is going to know.

Unfortunately I do not have a clear solution for the specific problem you are seeing. The video link you provided works fine for me with Flash Player 11.2 on Firefox 12 on both Windows XP-SP3 and Windows 7.
What I would try if the same thing happened to me:
try a clean install using the instructions in http://forums.adobe.com/thread/928315
to reinstall use the offline installers from http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/installation-problems-flash-player-windows.html#ins tall_in_a_firewall_proxy_server_environment
if the above does not improve the situation, I would try if a graphics driver update changes anything; see http://forums.adobe.com/thread/945765 (but I'm sure you know how to update drivers, with your background)
if all fails, I would try a System Restore to a date before the Flash Player update; all FP files are in the C:\Windows\... folders, so it should revert completely to the previous working version
Or you could try a manual install of an older version by
using the uninstaller from http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/uninstall-flash-player-windows.html
then download and install the appropriate archived Flash Player from http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/archived-flash-player-versions.html
P.S. regarding the archived installers, you may need to disconnect from the Internet during the installation. Some of the newer installers go and check for the availability of newer versions, and refuse to continue if they find any.
P.P.S. You can permanently turn off auto-update by using a mms.cfg file; see http://www.adobe.com/devnet/flashplayer/articles/flash_player_admin_guide.html
Most information in this admin guide refers to the new silent background update, but it also works on the earlier FP updater.

When I enable the IEPE property for the IEPE accelerometers, I found that there are three different types of current excitation sources: internal, external, and none. What does this mean? How to decide whether it is internal or external? Is the internal or external refer to the device which is connected to NI? Suppose I have a IEPE accelerometer which has a built-in amplifier, should it be set to internal or external? Thank you.

"Internal excitation" means that the NI DAQ device will supply excitation voltage to the accelerometer. In order to do this, you have to be using a NI device that is capable of supplying excitation, such as a signal conditioning module.
Setting it to "External excitation" tells LabVIEW that you are wiring an external power supply to your accelerometer for excitation.

i bought excite write online because it was on sale and it suppose to be first table with tegra 4 system on chip whatever you call it.
tegra 4 led me to buy it. im somewhat infulence by nvidia graphic card. if you are gamer, you know what im talking about. anyway make long stroy short i found my tablet defective shortly after i recieved it.
i know stuff happen but it gave me bad impression about their product and bad customer support make it even worst.

After restart my wifi works fine, all other app work fine, but my 3g connection doesn't work, mobile network bar is empty and it says "no service".
My sim card is ok. I used this sim card before the system update and I didn't get any problem with Android 4.2.2.
Please help me.

Go to the mobile network settings and search again for the 3G network.
I had similar problem with my Android Smartphone and my o2 provider
I started new search, then I chosen the O2 again and then I could solve the problem.
In case this does not work for you, recommend you to reset the tablet back to default (factory settings)

I need to delete a lot of duplicates on iPhoto. I just bought my MacBook Pro and was so excited I downloaded my external hard drive without thinking through the process. I now realize I had my photos doubled up. So I actually have the same library twice.

I am so excited about my new computer and I didn't know that my external hard drive had so many pictures duplicated on it. So I downloaded the entire hard drive. I thought iPhoto was going to be my answer, and now after reading a lot of discussions, it seems I have royally screwed up. Please help me fix this problem. I am a computer novice. An even more Mac novice. I need very simple directions. I would just start over with iPhoto, but I downloaded my digital camera with brand new photos on iPhoto and also downloaded my digital camera software on my new MacBookPro. I am afraid if I "start over" with iPhoto I will lose my digital camera pictures. I bought the Mac to finally get my pictures straight, and look at the mess I have made. I had AVG PC cleanup and used that program last night to delete duplicates from my PC. I also used it to delete duplicates from my external hard drive. I omega. I know, I know, too late huh? But I am teachable. And I now have my external hard drive fixed. But now, my question to the community is how to fix my new Mac, and my iPhoto.

Ok, you've got iPhoto Library that you have imported everything into, you can't delete the iPhoto Library and start over because you have only one copy of some pictures in there, combined with a lot of duplicates.
You want all the duplicates out, but it will take you ages to do it by hand.
What you do is.
1: Right click on the iPhoto Library and "Show Package Contents"
2: You will see a folder called Originals, these are all your original photo's, copy this folder to a external drive someplace, it's your backup.
3: Select the Originals folder again and from the Finder Menu > File > Duplicate.
4: Now you will have a OriginalsCopy folder, move that OriginalsCopy folder onto the desktop area out of the iPhoto Library folder. Close the iPhoto Library folder/window.
5: Download the Decloner software and install it, use it to find all the "real" duplicates, via it's content on the OriginalsCopy folder.
6: From the Finder menu > New Folder, now send the duplicate files to that folder, so all that is left in the OriginalsCopy folder is 1 copy of your pictures, minus all the duplicates which are now in New Folder.
7: Open iPhoto and remove all your pictures in there. The iPhoto Library will update to become empty.
8: Now import the pictures from the OriginalsCopy folder, these will now have only one copy of each picture.
9: Open your New Folder, from the Edit menu > Select All and
10 From the Finder > File Menu > Open With > Preview.
Now you have one copy in your iPhoto Library and the duplicates in a New Folder opened with Preview which you can compare to make sure.
Make as many backups of your pictures as you think you need during this prcess, but eventually you only want 1 picture of all you have in the iPhoto Library.
Some pictures may be the same thing but a little smaller etc., these obviously are not duplicates, and you can weed those out by hand in iPhoto.

Did you remove Quicktime X?
On a normal install Quicktime 7 is installed in the Utilities folder and Quicktime Pro in the main Applications folder.
You will need to reinstall OS X to get Quicktime X back if you have deleted it.
I notice yor profile says 10.5.8. Quicktime X is only available on 10.6 and above.
