Am I the only one with the mysterious black box?

If more than one AA window is open (9.4.2, Win7) and I try to draw with a polygon or other graphic tool, a black rectangle begins tracking my cursor, obscurring the graphic line I am trying to create. It grows to the scale of the polygon, etc., but disappears as soon as I stop drawing and the shape becomes inactive. If more than one window has been opened anytime during a session, and I want to draw, I have to close the program and reboot in order to not have the problem.

The good news is that M-Audio have just released a new set of drivers. Check out the following support article:

While this relates specifically to Leopard, perhaps you were falling foul of some driver issue.
Time to try updating your existing drivers and let us know. By the way, no, you were FAR from the only person with this problem. M-Audio have been very slow in getting drivers out. Let's hope this is now a thing of the past.

Sounds lke the headphone jack is broken. It happens sometimes. There are third-party places that will replace the jack. Here is one. Google for more.

Am I the only one with the storage request stuck on all my videos??

my videos on u tube or from my emails all have a storage request from adobe flash player and it wont go away, also when it is there the rest of the video is greyed out. I have been asking for help for over a month now, is this so my guarentee will run out?????? I got a lap top from you as I had so much trouble with my many Pc's. Was I wrong and this machine is no better then Bill Gates usuless machines?? If so I may go back to smoke signals. RD Cargill a very irrate customer that seems to be ignored from your guys.

The problem is solved after I'm upgrading my OS X to 10.6.5. I wonder whether the upgrade or the restart that cure the problem since I haven't restart it for a month, ;).

From what iv read so far most of the probelms started happening when the new update came out. You would think because apple is normally on top of their game that this issue would have been fixed.. All apps are forever tied to the Apple ID that bought them. To stop your id from popping up, you need to delete the apps on his phone, and then repurchase them under his account.

I start my first post and introduction ever on this forum with a imposing problem with Aperture 3.03
I just did the upgrade to Aperture 3 & 3.03. Coming off Aperture 2, I was able to rotate, crop and do all the things I wanted by just placing the pointer while clicking, holding, and moving all at the same time with no issues. With Aperture 3.03, no such luck. I've noticed that now if I want to rotate an image or even crop an image the first effort to move anything is ignored. It shows all the signs of being ready to move something, but nothing happens, nothing moves on first try. If I stop the click and place click the second time it is responsive as usual....What gives???
Here is another issue. Cropping is all over the place and never right on the first try. Even if I have a set aspect ratio it does not provide me with the one I selected. I'm always getting the wrong aspect ratio even though the right one is selected. If I pick "Master Aspect Ratio", I get a variable ratio instead of a fixed ratio??? If I click again it changes again. This program is not stable!!
One other thing has anyone noticed that you cannot use the arrow keys to move from one picture to another after editing the photo?? It is happening to me. If I complete an edit and want to move to the next photo, the program will not respond to key commands in any way. I'm forced to return to Browser mode and even then it seems hit or miss whether is responds to key commands again. navigating seems to be a big impediment when actively editing.
So, am I the only one with these problems???

I don't see any of these issues! You have listed several, disconnected issues. Perhaps you should pick one of them, and give us a blow-by-blow of your action steps.
For rotation, click that button at the bottom of the View window, and then use one of the [ or ] bracket keys as listed for direction.

before I downloaded twhirl, i upgraded to most current
version of Adobe Air (1.5.1) from (1.5.0). It actually occcurred to
me that i had never used adobe air before, eventhough i´ve had
it installed for ages.
i cannot run twhirl-0.9.air because the extension is not
registered. being no newbie, i tried to manually register the
extension but i cannot find an adobe air executable in Program
Files>Adobe Air. So i started to search on how to fix the
problem, and took at two approaches. I spent 5 minutes trying to
find the location of the adobe air executable, and i spend ONE
FREAKING HOUR trying to find a solution using queries similar to
["adobe air" extension association .air] on google. NO relevant
results come up AT ALL. Am I the only one with this problem? how
about a solution? Which file do I associate the extension .air
with???????
as a bonus WTF, i dare someone to show me a query on google
that points to a solution to this problem within the first 20
results, and if you find this solution WITHIN adobe.com support i

The Adobe AIR Application Installer is in Program
Files/Common Files/Adobe AIR/Versions/1.0/.
If you right click on an AIR file and choose the above file
to open it, that should fix the problem.

I can't be the only one with this issue. MacBook Pro Retina Late-2013 WiFi disconnects after waking up from sleep.

Did anyone buy a MacBook Pro Retina 13" from Best Buy this Black Friday?
I'm having an issue where the WiFi disconnects after the MacBook wakes from sleep but only after a couple of minutes.
Once the WiFi disconnects, I can't reconnect to the same network and sometimes it won't find nearby networks.
I have to turn off the WiFi and wait for at least 5 seconds before turning it back on for it to auto-reconnect to my home network.
If I wait less than 5 seconds, it will continue to attempt connection to the home network but won't connect.
I've tried reformatting and deleting my network configurations as well as resetting my modem, power cycling it, etc.
I am using 2Wire Gateway modem/router from AT&T on b/g network.
I've tried connecting to a friend's network under Time Warner Cable and the same issue occurs.
I exchanged the MacBook at a Best Buy for a brand unopened one (I hope) and the same exact thing happens with this new one.
Really, I can't be the only one with this issue. Unless in a 0.00001% chance I received two defective units in a row?
Please.. does anyone have a clue why this is happening?

You're definitely not the only one. I have the same issue. I spent 6 hours over multiple days on the phone with Apple support trying a variety of things (some of which are mentioned above), and none of them worked. They finally sent me a replacement laptop. I made sure to try it periodicaly as I was moving files and installing applications to see if I ran into it again and things seemed okay at first but now I am running into the same issue and it is terribly annoying. I've got 5 other devices that connect to the same router and I've never had this issue with any of them.
My router is a Linksys E2000. I haven't tried changing the router channel but I have tried to cnnecting to other networks in the building I live in and I have run into the same issue there.

I went to the Apple Store on launch day and bought my iPhone 4. No reservation, just went in and bought it. Much easier than pre-ordering. Enjoy the iPhone when you get it. iPhone 4 is excellent.
Oh to answer your question, it's unlikely you are the only one with a specific date. If Apple were allocating one iPhone per pre order per day, the backlog would take until iPhone 26 to get through.

     I live in Norway, and the phone has been either provided by a Norwegian carrier, or bought unlocked from the Norwegian Apple Store. You can check yourself by going to Settings-General-About-Model and type the model number (MC133KN in my case) here: http://iphonefrom.com/en/MC133KN But it`s unlocked, I placed a Lebara SIM in it and it works perfectly.
     If it has been carrier-locked then most(if not all) Norwegian carriers are selling the phones on a 12 months subscription contract. When the 12 months are up, the phone is being unlocked by the carrier either automatically, or upon customer`s request(depends which carrier you use).
     It`s good to hear that your 3GS works well with the iOS 6, still after having read about issues after upgrade I have a feel that the upgrade to iOS 6 may be a hit or miss.
     I read on a forum that early iPhones can only support 3 major upgrades. Can that be true?

Are you using a Mac machine or Windows PC?
If using a Mac machine, go to Application-->Utilities-->Adobe Installer-->old apps names and run the uninstaller for old apps.
If you are using Windows PC, go to Control panel-->>Program and Features and uninstall the old apps.
It will uninstall everything related to old apps, but your setting must be imporated to new version of apps.

I feel for everyone with troubles, because frankly I have had none. No key lag, no app crashing, nothing. I wonder what the ratio is to those like me and those with errors and what we're doing differently. It is quite amazing to see....

I am also having no issues.
What is puzzling is why so many others are having the same issues with the same hardware. Putting aside broken hardware, one would think that a full restore of the phone (as so many have done) would make that phone identical to ours which are functional. Yet. this isn't the case.
Only things I can think of are:
- iTunes is corrupted (tho many have removed and reloaded it)
- Restore does not completely and comprehensively wipe and restore the phone

Volume : Am I the only one with issues hearing calls

Ok, I am about 75% done with my activation I can place calls just not receive them. So far I love the iPhone, other than activation (Not Apples fault). However I have a big problem hearing calls (Apples fault). Am I the only one having this problem?
Apple please get us an update out soon that will fix this problem. There is no way this phone can work for me if I cant hear calls. I will be forced to return the phone and go back to my Razr. Other than this issue (and it is a big one) I love the phone

NO! I thought that it was because i turned 30 this year! This *****! really bad! i love the iphone but i am totally gunna be FORCED! to return it if there is not a solution to this problem ASAP! ive noticed that talking to a person on a land line is the louder between talking to anyone on another mobile but still not load enough! Apparently there is no problem on the other end! everyone has said they can hear me fine! Hi. I own an Iphone 4 running ios 5.1.1. I used to be able to watch a video using my HDMI adapter when i was running ios 5.0.
But i recently wanted to use it and i saw it would not work at all !!! I was running ios 5.0.1. Then i thought i should update my iphone to make it work again, but in vain, my adapter seems to work no more... I of course tried to restore my iphone and checked my hdmi cable. Am i the only one or am i the choosen one like neo ? Thank you !

don't own the hdmi adapter but got the component and composite ones and they work fine with my iphone4 with latests os
what I would do if I was me
first step of troubleshooting would be to reboot the phone

second step then I would try another ios device that is supported with the device (of cause only iphone4s and ipad2 and up support mirror so for testing I use youtube as I know that support the tv out feature)
trying out the other ios device would rule out that the cable is damaged and you just happend to notice around the time you updated os
third step I would try other devices that use the pin30 cable to see if the connector in the iphone was damaged

I did my update on 4/20 bout 10:30pm ny time it took bout 10 min to dl and bout 10 min for the install and what not, after that I updated my flash to 10.2 and tried out my new features, was amazed how fast it was like my phone was on redbull, everything is good battery life is bout the same if not better, not having issues like I been reading, so am I the only one, who else out there had no problems updating and no issues with it

I updated my phone to 2.2. Almost everything seems fine. I now have Flash and it made some small improvements in a lot of features such as E-mail viewing is a bit nicer and web viewing is a bit better. Some background colors have changed. The phone seems to run apps a bit faster or improved in minor ways. The GPS Google Maps stuff works well as before. It did reset my phone personalization presets like my homescreen, a minor thing. One game app stopped working but I deleted and reinstalled it and it works fine. I kept all my music, contact list and data on the phone. Nothing lost. All in all I am very satisfied with the update and pleased. Thanks Verizon and Samsung, now please get to work on Gingerbread 2.3.
