Am I the only person who hasn't yet been able to correct error message CS5 has stopped working?

I am Using windows 7 64 bit, no plug ins, nothing new downloaded since photoshop CS5 extended a month ago. It was working fine until last night. i have tried uninstalling, reinstalling, removing virus protection, all with no result!!  This is the info from the event report: faulting module name KERNELBASE.dll version 6.1.7600.16385, faulting process id:0xe2c. Does this tell anyone anything that you can explain to me in English?? I would appreciate any help. Thank you

Having the full version of Photoshop and Elements on your system at the same time should not be a problem.
There is one other possible remedy, to get Photoshop CS5 to not even try to use the GPU in your system (recall my earlier comment about Intel graphics processing units not being the best for Photoshop)...  There's a registry change that can be done to force Photoshop to avoid even trying GPU operations.  I don't know if you're comfortable at all with making direct registry modifications, but there is a DWORD value you can create to have Photoshop avoid trying to use OpenGL:
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\Photoshop\12.0]
"DisallowOpenGLWindows"=dword:00000001
If you're not comfortable making a registry modification yourself, you might want to ask someone who is an expert to help you.
The only other thing I can suggest, at this point, and which may help eliminate further doubt about the computer's hardware vs. software is to try a drastic measure - use the Windows 7 System Restore facility and return the OS configuration back to a date when you know Photoshop was working.

    With those symptoms, I'd try the following document:

    (If there's a SpeedBit LSP showing up in Autoruns, it's usually best to just uninstall your SpeedBit Video Accelerator.)

  • I have tried fixing Firefox by uninstall reinstall that didn't work. I still get the same error message: Firefox has stopped working. May have to change!

    I am not the only one having this problem why is Mozilla not doing something about it? I am about fed up & may have to change to a different browser! Firefox was the best browser I've ever had but not anymore! Wish I could go back to the old version--it worked just fine! The new version is when I started having this trouble!
    Time for Mozilla to step up & get a fix or you will be losing more than me I think! I've disabled real arcade & most other add-ons. That didn't help either.

    Thanks for offering help but I have done all of the above & it didn't work! I am really getting fed up with it every time I close Firefox I get the same msg. "Firefox Has Stopped Working." At other times the msg. comes when I have it open. Then I have to close & restart whatever I was doing.
    Don't know what else to do!

    Hello.  Am I the ONLY person who's angry that my mobile hasn't lasted for several years?  Am I the ONLY person who's had problems on and off throughout the last two years with his / her Nokia, AND had it replaced twice by Nokia Care, and now that it is out of warranty, require $292 to be repaired?                                                    
    Bought the Nokia 6110 on a typical 2 year plan 2 years ago, and it just hasn't ever been faultless.                
    But even though it kept going 'funny', at least I could use some of the features, and Nokia Care have replaced the 'innards' of it from Nokia Asia somewhere, which took ages,  And the 'loan fones' have been just aweful.  And 'no', the loan fones were not able to hold Contact numbers from the 6110.              
    But when my Nokia 6110 started to just 'drop out' and say "Insert SIM Card", I knew I had a big problem.  At first 'they' said it was because I didn't update the Nokia firmware upgrade properly.  Then they said ....................................................  Then they said I needed to get a new SIM card from my Telco because some times the SIM cards "go bad".
    However yesterday Nokia Care finally dropped the 'big one' - my fone can be repaired for $292.  That's almost THREE HUNDRED DOLLARS.  Tell me, how much is a new Nokia.
    Oh, and I am STILL waiting to hear from Nokia Care about when I can go back and pick up my 'dead' phone.
    Did I tell you my 2 year contract ran out three months ago?  Did I tell you I now can get another fone, with whichever Telco I chose, and I can pick any fone I want to go with another contact?   So like you, I am doing HEAPS of 'reviewing' of fones on every website I can find, and I am asking people, and doing FaceBook, and Twitter, and ...................
    And guess which brand I will not ever get again??  And guess which brand I am telling everyone about??
    Oh, and I have written quite a few times before to Nokia - and I am still waiting for a reply...............   That's what makes telling everyone how I feel SO much easier.
    Nokia, you have lost your 'edge'.  You care so much about 'selling', that you have forgotten its also about OWNING and SERVICING.  Gosh, you do it bad.  The products are hit-and-miss; your support is lousy; and your communication just sucks big time.

    Yeah that works, but, it involves a click on the event, a click on edit, a click on the date, keystrokes, plus, since you can't see the next month you have to have a calendar in front of you so as to put it to the right date. It's easier just to cut it and advance the month and paste it, once you are in the right month you can move it around helter skelter willy nilly no problems. Although now that you mention it I will try it, maybe it is easier than cut and paste as I don't really care about the date, as long as it gets moved into the right month I can drag it around all I want.

    Prepaid accounts don't have Account Owners/Managers, they just have Account Members (and prepaid accounts have less options regarding changes via their My Verizon account as a result).

    It's your choice. If you are the only person that uses the iPad then it's probably not necessary, but, for example, if you think that you will never make in-app purchases then you could disable them via Restrictions so that you can't accidentally make them.
    In terms of the difference that it makes, then you can use it to hide some of the built-in apps e.g. Safari, App Store (via 'Installing Apps') etc, prevent apps from being deleted, or hide some of your content.
    But if you do set restrictions then remember the passcode that you use for it - if you forget the restrictions code then the only way (unless it wasn't in place when you last backed up) to remove it is reset the iPad back to factory defaults.

    No you are not! I found it really boring too! I mean, I enjoyed the effects and oohed and aaahed at all the right scenes, but frankly, I would have rather stayed at home and watched Bullit or something.
    And for those you will be putting the question up, yes, I saw it in 3D and everything.
    Saw Sherlock Holmes the other day and found it a 100 times better than Avatar, though being a die hard fan of the books for such a long time, I found the idea of a hyperactive-snide-remark-spitting-funny-man Holmes a bit difficult to take in. I'm not saying its bad, I'm just saying its hard to get used to at first to the idea of this new iteration of the screen Holmes.
