AM Patch 120954-03 - Problems with Fetching Sessions

Hi.
I am encountering weird behaviour with AM when it comes to fetching sessions from other AM servers.
I applied patch 120954-03 (didn't have -02 or 01 patch installed), and then ran the following commands, on two environments (both environments are identical, each with two AM hosts). Things work perfectly on one, but not on the other. Tried everything, including AM reinstallation. But no luck. Problem comes up as soon as I apply the patch, and run the subsequent commands.
Error received is Failed to get valid Sessions from the Specified server. According to the release notes, this could occur if the DIT was from an older AM installation. But in my case, its been AM 7 through out; absolutely clean machine before that.
Is there something wrong in the sequence of commands that I am running? I run the following commands one at a time on each host (ie, 1. on both, then 2. on both...). Is there some other way to go about this?
Also, I have two Directory servers for AM (with multi-master replication). Should I specify different directory servers during running the patch on both the hosts, or should I specify the same host, or can I specify the DPS distributing load over the two DS?
Thanks a ton! Sincerely appreciate it.
Commands executed after patchadd 120954-03 :
1. Have all services up
2. Backup Directory servers
3. patchadd 120954-03 (its Solaris 9)
4. Edit /opt/SUNWam/amsilent
5. cd /AccessManager-base/bin/; ./amconfig -s /opt/SUNWam/amsilent
6. ./amserver stop
7. ./amserver start
8. Restart AM instances
9. cd /DirectoryServer-Base/shared/bin; ./ldapmodify -h hostname -p port_number -D "cn=Directory Manager" -w <DIRMGRPASSWD> -a -f /etc/opt/SUNWam/accountLockout.ldif
10. /opt/SUNWam/bin/amadmin -u amadmin -w <AMADMINPASSWORD> -t /etc/opt/SUNWam/accountLockoutData.xml
11. /AccessManager-base/bin/amadmin -u amadmin -w amadmin_password -s /etc/opt/SUNWam/AddLDAPFilterCondition.xml
12. /AccessManager-base/bin/amadmin -u amadmin -w amadmin_password -t /etc/opt/SUNWam/amPolicyConfig_mod_ldfc.xml
13. /opt/SUNWam/bin/amadmin -u amadmin -w amadmin_password -t /etc/opt/SUNWam/idRepoServiceAddAttrSchemaRequest_Cache.xml
14. /AccessManager-base/bin/amadmin -u amadmin -w amadmin_password -t /etc/opt/SUNWam/wsf1.1_upgrade.xml
15. Restart AM instances.

I am getting the somewhat thesame issue. Exept I'm getting the LoginLoutMapping issue. I have the same setup also with 2 masters. I applied this patch to my dev env which has only oner ds server and its on the same machine and didn't have any issues. Hopefully someone can shed some lite. I had no prob before the patch. Backing the patch out does work but it's weird that it wont work on my prod env

  • A simple problem with sateful Session beans

    Hi,
    I have a really novice problem with stateful session bean in Java EE 5.
    I have written a simple session bean which has a counter inside it and every time a client call this bean it must increment the count value and return it back.
    I have also created a simple servlet to call this session bean.
    Everything seemed fine I opened a firefox window and tried to load the page, the counter incremented from 1 to 3 for the 3 times that I reloaded the page then I opened an IE window (which I think is actually a new client) but the page counter started from 4 not 1 for the new client and it means that the new client has access to the old client session bean.
    Am I missing anything here???
    Isnt it the way that a stateful session bean must react?
    This is my stateful session bean source.
    package test;
    import javax.ejb.Stateful;
    @Stateful
    public class SecondSessionBean implements SecondSessionRemote
    private int cnt;
    /** Creates a new instance of SecondSessionBean */
    public SecondSessionBean ()
    cnt=1;
    public int getCnt()
    return cnt++;
    And this is my simple client site servlet
    package rezaServlets;
    import java.io.*;
    import java.net.*;
    import javax.ejb.EJB;
    import javax.servlet.*;
    import javax.servlet.http.*;
    import test.SecondSessionRemote;
    public class main extends HttpServlet
    @EJB
    private SecondSessionRemote secondSessionBean;
    protected void processRequest (HttpServletRequest request, HttpServletResponse response)
    throws ServletException, IOException
    response.setContentType ("text/html;charset=UTF-8");
    PrintWriter out = response.getWriter ();
    out.println("<html>");
    out.println("<head>");
    out.println("<title>Servlet main</title>");
    out.println("</head>");
    out.println("<body>");
    out.println("<h1>Our count is " + Integer.toString (secondSessionBean.getCnt ()) + "</h1>");
    out.println("</body>");
    out.println("</html>");
    out.close ();
    protected void doGet (HttpServletRequest request, HttpServletResponse response)
    throws ServletException, IOException
    processRequest (request, response);
    protected void doPost (HttpServletRequest request, HttpServletResponse response)
    throws ServletException, IOException
    processRequest (request, response);
    }

    You are injecting a reference to a stateful session bean to an instance variable in the servlet. This bean instance is shared by all servlet request, and that's why you are seeing this odd behavior.
    You can use type-leve injection for the stateful bean, and then lookup the bean inside your request-processing method. You may also save this bean ref in HttpSession.
    @EJB(name="ejb/foo", beanName="SecondBean", beanInterface="com.foo.foo.SecondBeanRemote")
    public MyServlet extends HttpServlet {
    ic.lookup("java:comp/env/ejb/foo");
    }

  • A problem with a session Access

    Hi Olivier,
    To connect with Forte while running distributed you must use System DNS
    instead of User DNS on the server. The ftexec.exe on your server partition
    will be launched by the NodeMgr running as UID SYSTEM. User DNS are not
    available to processes running as UID SYSTEM.

  • Hello, I have a big problem with Firefox: Session Manager & Undo Closed Tab addons are not working, Sync Is not working. History is working. How to fix this?

    Firefox remembers history but doesn't remember closed tabs, sessions.
    It happened after updating Fox to v. 19.0.2 on one computer.
    In Firefox Options is set Use Custom Settings For History, everything is checked except Always Use Private Browsing Mode. So I am not in private browsing.
    When I press on Undo Closed Button nothing happens & in session manager Save Session Button is greyed out. I've tried installing other add-ons that can remember tabs. tried to disable/reinstall these 2 add-ons. Did't help. On my 2nd computer I have same add-ons, same settings and they are working normally. on 3rd computer undo closed tabs works also. How to fix this? I decided to ask before doing Firefox Reset...
    Sync is a separate problem. It works, but quite often it logs me out of Sync account. Then I can log in only using long recovery key and password (choosing option I don't have device with me because it does not accept keys for pairing device.)
    Thanks for reading.

    I have exactly the same settings in Options (in both computers)
    for history, these 2 add-ons and all other stuff in Options. The only difference is that on 1 pc sessions can be saved and closed tabs can be reopened, on other main pc they stopped to work. + no any other add-on that does similar things works on this pc.
    It is also interesting that I can reopen closed visited sites from History Panel, but not by pressing the Button. For now I only manually bookmark links to a temporary folder.
    Recently (some 2 month ago) I pressed x and Firefox closed all tabs without saving them without displaying save & quit pop up.
    so I changed 4 settings in about.config
    browser.tabs.warn on close true
    browser.warn on quit true
    browser.warn on restart true
    browser.show.quit warning true
    but the problem with sessions appeared only 1 week ago.
    So I guess the problem is not with the History settings or other settings. Seems that something responsible for button or for storing info about tabs/sessions got corrupted. :(

  • Problems with a session of batch input - In processing

    Hello!
    I have a problem with a depreciation posting Session (AFAB). User has stoped the process of session and now the status is 'In Processing' and we can't run it anymore...
    ¿How I can process this Session?
    I've tried to delete the session and re-run the depreciation posting, but it's not working.
    I've tried to delete in TABA table the line of this period, but it's not working.
    I've tried to suicide me, but... it's not working.
    I'll try to kill the user, I hope that It will work.
    Can you help me? Please.
    Thanks a lot!!!

    Dear Jorge,
    In SM35 analyze your session.
    If it was processed in background go to transaction SM37. Else, you can proceed in SM35 itself.
    Regards,
    Naveen.

  • Problem with fetch cursor statement

    Hi,
    I am using FETCH CURSOR statement to fetch the data from a database table with package size. For the fetched records I am doing parallel processing using parallel processing frame work in banking system.
    Here the problem is for the first iteration it works fine but when it comes to FETCH NEXT CURSOR in the second iteration , programs gets dumping by saying that 'CURSOR already closed'.
    I am not closing the cursor in the program but some how it got closed some where in the standard function module which I used for parallel processing.
    I used WITHHOLD also along with FETCH CURSOR but no use. Please let me know how to avoid the cursor to get close.
    Below is my code
    IF NOT l_tab_product IS INITIAL.
        OPEN CURSOR WITH HOLD lv_cursor FOR
         SELECT contract_int prodint cn_currency mig_grp
              INTO TABLE gt_cont
                FROM bca_contract
                FOR ALL ENTRIES IN l_tab_product
                WHERE prodint = l_tab_product-prodint
                AND   mig_grp IN s_migrp.
        DO.
          FETCH NEXT CURSOR lv_cursor
                            INTO TABLE gt_cont
                                 PACKAGE SIZE lv_size.
          IF sy-subrc <> 0.
            CLOSE CURSOR lv_cursor.
            EXIT.
          ELSE.
    parallel processing logic
    ENDDO.
    ENDIF.

    Using Withhold will not make sure that the cursor will not get closed because of commits.
    SAP Doc says
    If the addition WITH HOLD is specified, the database cursor is not closed by a database commit executed using Native SQL. The addition does not have an influence, however, on implicit database commits or on any rollbacks which always close the database cursor.
    You have to check the part written in your parallel processing logic.
    As Brad said please donot dump your old threads like this.

    can any body help me regarding this matter.? Thx in Advance.

  • Problem with xfce4-session.

    Hello, I'm not sure whether I'm posting in the correct section of the forums but anyway, here's the problem, after upgrading the system xfce started crashing randomly (It definitely crashes when I try to suspend first time, then it does it correctly). I took a look in Xorg and fglrx log files, they didn't contain any errors. However, dmesg listed a segfault of xfce4-session in libglib, is there any solution for that problem or I just have to wait until the upgrade. Also, I have and AMD E-450 APU, and a proprietary catalyst driver from catalyst-stable. Here is the output from dmesg (the segfault message is in the end):

    Yes, it keeps happening even with the default kernel when I try to shut down/suspend the computer (Alt-F4 key combination). I've read on some russian forum that it's the problem in recently upgraded glib2 (as they think), however downgrade didn't help. I'll try to check whether xfce4-session is to blame.
    EDIT: It's definitely not xfce4-session, I tried previous version. Also, while running downgrade I saw that there is a newer version of glib2 in ARM, which is much more unstable, so I'm using 2.36.1-1.

  • Problem with Fetching Million Records from Table COEP into an Internal Tabl

    Hi Everyone ! Hope things are going well.
           Table : COEP has 6 million records.
    I am trying to get records based on certain criteria, that is, there are atleast 5 conditions in the WHERE clause.
    I've noticed it takes about 15 minutes to populate the internal table. How can i improve the performance to less than a minute for a fetch of 500 records from a database set of 6 million?
    Regards,
    Owais...

    The first obvious sugession would be to use the proper indexes. I had a similar Issue with COVP which is a join of COEP and COBK. I got substanstial performance improvement by adding "where LEDNR EQ '00'" in the where clause.
    Here is my select:
              SELECT kokrs
                     belnr
                     buzei
                     ebeln
                     ebelp
                     wkgbtr
                     refbn
                     bukrs
                     gjahr
                FROM covp CLIENT SPECIFIED
                INTO TABLE i_coep
                 FOR ALL ENTRIES IN i_objnr
               WHERE mandt EQ sy-mandt
                 AND lednr EQ '00'
                 AND objnr = i_objnr-objnr
                 AND kokrs = c_conarea.

  • Problems with maintaining session state using mod_ose

    I am using 9i AS(version 1.0.2.0) and oracle 8i(version 815).
    Because i need to maintain client sessions for my application, I
    have activated mod_ose(for stateful session). As suggested in
    the oracle documentation, i created a package containing
    variables for which state needs to be maintain per client. The
    state is maintained by the app server but it is not maintained
    properly. All the new clients that connect to the app server
    share the same session variable values. If I change a package
    variable value from one client, other clients take the same
    value.
    Any solution?
    Suggestions are most welcome.
    Thanks in advance.

    We installed oracle9i AS on solaris, configured OSE and the
    problem is not occuring now. Not sure whether its solaris that
    worked or 9i AS had some problem on NT machine earlier.
    Regards,
    Sharad

  • Problem with keeping session active in WEB

    Hi,
    We are using only web repoting and when these web reports are excuted and left idle for some time then any further operation on the report output after 10 mins give out a error and doesnt proceed further.
    As i understnd this has got something to do with the parameter in RZ10.
    To mention a few we have rdisp/max_wprun_time is set as 600.
    Is this the value responsible for that. If yes then can we increase this?
    Else pelase suggest the exact parameter?
    Can i have any SAP recomeneded values documentation.
    Thanks,
    Naveen.A

    1. icm/keep_alive_timeout - set the timeperiod here for max idle time - also check out the documentation of this param from RZ11
    2. you can also set the session time out at transaction SICF
    default_host/sap/bw/bex
    double click on bex, there you can set the session time out (stateful connections)

  • Problem with fetching Map object from ObjectInputStream

    Hi, please can you help me with the following...I've never seen this before (with my limited experience of JDK1.5)
    ObjectInputStream is = new ObjectInputStream(new FileInputStream(store));
    Map<Integer, Report> readObject = (Map<Integer, Report>) is.readObject();This code gives me a warning...
    Type safety: The cast from Object to Map<Integer,Report> is actually checking against the erased type Map
    How can I get rid of this warning?

         ByteArrayOutputStream baos = new ByteArrayOutputStream();
         ObjectOutputStream oos = new ObjectOutputStream( baos );
         List<String> list = new LinkedList<String>();
         list.add( "one" );
         list.add( "two" );
         oos.writeObject( list );
         oos.flush(); oos.close();
         ObjectInputStream ois = new ObjectInputStream
             ( new ByteArrayInputStream( baos.toByteArray() ) );
         List<String> list2 = (List<String>)ois.readObject();Give me 1 compile time error (Test.java:109: warning: [unchecked] unchecked cast), and no runtime errors.
    Removing the <String> from "list" add some more [uncheked], but still runs fine (no runtime warning). Adding a none-String only causes a problem when I try to "get" it. (class cast).
    When do you get this warning?

  • SAPGUI 7.20 patch level 5 problem with Modification Assistant

    I'm using SAPGUI 720 patch level 5 on a Windows 7 sp1 machine. There is a serious issue with modification assistant not working properly.
    For some reason it does not focus on the correct code line and automatic comments are not inserted either.
    Anyone else facing this issue?

    Hello Jason,
    sounds as if this could be related to the correction from note 1569250 "Focus set to textedit toolbar on roundtrip".
    I assume that a textedit control is used in the Modification Assistant - right?
    If so the easiest solution for you is to apply hotfix 2 we published  couple of days ago (hotfix 2 is available on SAP SMP).
    Best regards,
    Frank

  • Im having a problem with stateful session beans in Iplanet running IAS6.0 with SP2 (clustered), sticky is false, application is distributed.

    I get the following:
    error: EB-013: Unable to create timer for home

    Hi,
    This exception indicates that there is some problem in creation of EJBObject or remote object. Can you please increase the debug level of iAS, and provide KJS logs and also some more information about your application. It will be best if you can send me a copy of your application, I can deploy it here and will try to see the exact cause of the exception.
    You can mail your application/test case on [email protected] or post it here.
    Regards,
    Sanjeev.
