Am unable to view recent History older than 1 day since removing "All Previous History"

I am unable to view any previous history older than the most recent 10 items, since removing "All Previous History". Before removing "All previous History" I was able to view history from, Yesterday, Last Week, last Month etc, but all I can get now is the last 10 items of history.

Firefox is slowly deleted my browser history older than 6 months. How do I keep history forever?

I just noticed that my browser history older than 6 months is slowly being deleted day by day. How do I prevent this from happening? This has only started happening recently. I have my settings as "Remember history". I want to keep all my history forever. Are there any configurations I can make to achieve this?

Firefox automatically calculates how many pages to keep without affecting performance and saves that value in the transient_max_pages pref.
You can create a max_pages pref to override that current maximum, but it is better to leave those prefs at their default.
You can see the current value via the read-only pref places.history.expiration.transient_max_pages on the about:config page.

On import, iPhoto copies photos into its library, which is proprietary to itself and should never be poked and prodded from outside iphoto or you run a strong risk of corrupting the library and losing your photos. So you eventually need to choose between iphoto and organizer.
If you want to use iphoto, then you have two choices:
1. Set PSE as your external editor and send the photos from iphoto to PSE, edit them, then save without changing the name or format (you may need to adjust the pse preferences>saving files>on first save), and iphoto will remember your last edits and the orginal. However, you must to lose the edited version to use the original again, and this method doesn't work well with raw files.
2. Export the photos from iphoto to the desktop, user File>Open in the editor, edit the photos, make all the changes to name and format that you like, save the photos and import them back to iphoto as new files.
Or if you decide you prefer organizer, set the this iphoto preference to No Application and you can call up the photo downloader from within organizer, or just drag the photo with the images in it from the card to wherever you want to keept them:
and of course you don't need to user either iphoto or organizer unless you want.

Remove all Download History from "My Stuffs"

Anyone got any idea to select all/remove all download history from "My Stuffs" at http://store.ovi.com/mystuff ?
Because it got me so frustrated when I've gotta manually tick 10 apps per page and then click "Delete selected", "Next" and repeat the same steps over and over again.
Is there any way to "Select all" or at least "Select all 10" and then "Delete selected"?

Unfortunately I do not know.
However I am curious how you are able to select and delete any at all. I cannot find this anywhere and my "My Stuff" pages only show static lists 10 to a page. Maybe removing items from the list isn't allowed in the US?

How do I get Firefox to save history indefinitely? Right now I am losing history older than 2 months.

I read elsewhere that is the number of pages Firefox is currently set to save, and that value is somehow chosen based on performance. There are currently 4492 pages listed in my history, according to the "Library" utility
I dont understand the performance limitation. I dont want to save pages, I just want to save what's shown in the "Library" utility: Page Name, Location and Visit Date.
I frequently find myself wanting to locate a page I visited months or even years earlier, and can usually figure it out based on those 3 things.
I have seen and read Marc Bonardos blog on this at http://blog.bonardo.net/2010/01/20/places-got-async-expiration.
I do not understand from that article what, if anything, I can do to prevent Firefox from deleting this information - Page Names, Location and Visit Date - older than 60 days.

Hmmm, you're nowhere near the max pages. I've got over 92,000 with a max just under 105,000. As for performance, consider that Firefox checks history regularly for autocompleting URLs.
If you are seeing a sharp date-based cut-off, I wonder whether an extension or some external software is involved? I don't see a built-in way to set a date for that.

Following download of version 23.0.1 I lost all previous history but not bookmarks. How do I recover old history? Recovery in "import and backup" does not help

My remembered and retained history was going back quite a few months. Following update of Firefox to 23.0.1 I lost all my history and Firefox only retains websites visited after the new version was installed. My bookmarks have been retained. I tried Recover in "Import and backup" but it only goes back to the date of the new installation. I tried places.sqlite in "Roaming" but there is only one with today's date. Is there a way to recover the lost history? Why did Firefox lose it? Will it happen averytime Firefox updates?

Backup your bookmarks manually. If you have been using the "import" you may have already lost some information by overwriting it. As a matter of course you should always save current bookmarks manually before using any restores.

That way you can ensure you are able to restore the complete current set. Put your .json backup file somewhere safe outside Firefox program or profile paths. The Windows Desktop or removable media would be suitable.
Firefox does create some autobackups of bookmarks but does not do anything about backing up the History. Luckily Windows probably backs up previous versions of your file ''places.sqlite'' and that is the database with History and bookmarks in it. See if you can recover a recent version of that, it will restore your history up to the date of the restored file.

Afterwards import your more recent bookmarks from wherever they were saved. The import overwrites the slightly older bookmarks from the Windows file.
You my also then wish to install and run the addon places maintenance.

That may be used to check and repair the places.sqlite database. It will give a short status report. Note if the places.sqlite runs out of space it starts deleting History.
In future you my wish to routinely create occasional backups of your profile or at least your places.sqlite

Unable to view any options other than general

I have just upgraded from the 24.x ESR stream to the 31.0 ESR
Having done so has broken my ability to access the settings within firefox. Accessing the about:preferences page causes brings up the new settings page, however, selecting any of the "tabs" does not navigate to the desired page, it remains on the general settings page ( see: http://i.imgur.com/R2qJW6t.png )
This problem persists after disabling all add-ons and restarting browser.
Firefox is running on W7_x64

Does the Options window via the Firefox menu button or the Tools menu behave like this as well?

I have been unable to view the content of any messages since installing OS X Mavericks. I can send and receive mail, but viewing message content crashes the mail app.

Even after clearing history, cookies, etc, previously visited sites show when I type in the address bar. How to fix this?

Try it in this order. Quit Safari completely, then clear Safari completely in the Safari Settings, then reboot, the iPad.
Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Double tap the home button and the task bar will appear with all of you recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on rhe Safari icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner to close the app. Tap the home button.
Go to Settings>Safari>Clear History, Cookies and Data.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.

No history past 7 days, how to keep infite history?

I have done a butt load of research on this and would someone please clear this problem up.
I went to find something I'd looked at a week or two ago but my history doesn't have anything past 7 days. That pissed me off because now I have no history that I quite possibly needed.
In my research I found about trying to look at the profile.sqlite file and I got the SQLite program. I cannot figure out how to view it.
I've checked my about:congif and added an integer as places.history.expiration.max_pages and set to 9999999 (ergo, also changing the places.history.expiration.transient_current_max_pages to the same).
I have checked all of my settings. I cannot find where anything would be deleting the history. As far as I can see, there a lot of other people out there with the same problem as me and I'm hoping we can all get a clear answer.

Delete a possible user.js file and numbered prefs-##.js files and rename (or delete) the prefs.js file to reset all prefs to the default value including prefs set via user.js and prefs that are no longer supported in the current Firefox release.

Note that your System Details List shows that you have a user.js file in the profile folder to initialize some prefs each time you start Firefox.
The user.js file is only present if you or other software has created it, so normally it wouldn't be there.
You can check its content with a plain text editor if you didn't create this file yourself.
The user.js file is read each time you start Firefox and initializes preferences to the value specified in this file, so preferences set via user.js can only be changed temporarily for the current session.

Hi, recently my iphone 4 has been removing all my emails from my Outlook email. I see them, read them, then when i open the folder again they have gone! Is this something to do with icloud?

My iphone 4 has 2 email accounts. Gmail and Outlook. I receive and send messages from both. Gmail is default.
Recently my Outlook messages have started to disappear once they have been read. They then appear on my business PC. This is not helpful if I am in Sydney Australia and my PC is in Europe.. How do I stop this from happening please?

Aprp44, the easiest thing you could do, is delete your outlook mail, and readd it. That will usually take care of almost any issue you're having.
