Am using PS Elements 8 with Vista.The print menu shows: "Paper Type:Unknown".I want to use glossy photo paper.How do I do this ?

Make sure the Printer is installed on your machine. If the printer is not installed on your machine the paper type will come as unknown.
After installing the printer :-
1. select the printer in the "Select Printer" setting.
2. In the Printer setting option click on "Change Settings" button.
3. Select the paper in the "Paper type" dropdown list.

Are any of your other applications going wonky, or is it just Logic?
I'm afraid I've never heard of this particular problem before, but if it were happening to me the first thing I would do is delete my "com.apple.logic.express.plist" file in Library>Preferences, then repair permissions in Disc Utility, and finally restart my computer. Then I would launch Logic and see if the problem has been corrected. It's amazing how much these two steps can accomplish.
If that doesn't resolve the issue I would launch Logic and go to Preferences>Audio Units Manager to see if all my plug-ins are properly validated.

You might have a look at the affordable Elements+ add-on.
It has a script to enable guides with the golden ratio.

Thanx for the prompt response, KT. I have indeed seen that thread, only just after I posted the question.
I have spent hours on the phone with what I now know is a call center in Texas on this question.
I think Apple could be a little more "hands on" with iBooks Author users, and it should also be pointed out that landscape photos will not display in portrait mode.
In my case, I used gallery widgets to display vertical photos, since they look better in portrait mode.
But instead of simply rotating, the page disappears and a TOC of interactive media appears. The gallery behaves as expected when tapped. This is not what I expected, but since the gallery works, I can live with it.
Right now I have "tickets" telling me to "fix" this "problem or to disable portrait mode.
I don't want to disable portrait mode.
Will Apple accept the books if I tell them this is not an "error?"

The 'Winmail.dat' problem has been extensively covered in these forums, I would search for that (a Google search works well) and unfortunately I have not seen the pdf print problem before, but assuming the software is current and functions normally (other than the pdf print problem) I have no suggestion other than the obvious (but time consuming) re-installation of Office.

It is an eMac. I have a corrupted font book. How can I fix/re-install/or download a new font book app? Most fonts that were in it work, some do not, but I cannot open it nor can I install fonts into it. This happened after the eMac OS was upgraded from 10.3.9 to 10.4.11 and AI was upgraded to CS2

Unfortunately, as recommended by the lady from CA, as long as the Mac is still associated with the Apple ID of the original owner, you can't even buy those iLife apps with that Mac. You will always get the alert to download them with the original owner's Apple ID.
As suggested by the chavo from España, you need the original owner to contact Apple Care* and request that the OS and the iLife apps be disassociated from his Apple ID. Then you should be free to OS X Recovery to resinstall the most recent version of OS X that shipped with the Mac and install the iLife apps. Afterward, before using any of the iLife apps you need to open the Mac App Store (MAS) to the Purchases pane and Accept these apps into your MAS account's Apple ID. If you use any of the iLife apps before you have accepted them into your account, as per the app's Terms of Use, they all become one-trick-ponies that can not be downloaded onto another Mac or updated.

Have you tried HELP in FINDER? If you open HELP and enter 'displays' in the field in the upper right hand corner you will get a list of topics on setting up monitors. Specifically read 'Setting up multiple displays to show the same image' and 'Setting up multiple displays as an extended desktop'.

PS cc doesn't show Fine art papers in the printer menu

I recently bought a new printer Epson Stylus Pro 3880 and I use it with PS cc. But in the printermenu I just can't choose Fine art papers - isn't highlighted.
All my programs and drivers are up to date!
Does anyone here have a solution to my problem?

I bet there is a leaflet in the box the print paper came in, that gives a list of profiles for various printers. Alternatively, go to the paper maker's website and look there.

How Can I print directly the report from the printer without showing it ?

I know how to run the report from Form as it illustrate on this site:

but the question here how could i to generate the report directly to the printer without showing it on the screen???
I search on the net and I find that I should change this line :-
SET_REPORT_OBJECT_PROPERTY(report_id,REPORT_DESTYPE, cache);
to this
SET_REPORT_OBJECT_PROPERTY(report_id,REPORT_DESTYPE, printer);
but it is not working with me :-(
is there any suggest ?!

First plaese unplug any external device (except the mouse and keyboard), then hold on the power button, perform a cold reboot, what is the result?
If doesn't work, please press F8 (or other button, depend on your PC model) boot your compute into recovery console.

Under "Basic" in the "Printer Settings" of the Print menu, the dropdown menus for both "Page Setup: Sheet" and "Media Type" are frozen.

Frozen selections: I'm working from my Intel iMac trying to print (from both Aperture and Photoshop CS5) to my new Epson 4900 printer. When the Print menu comes up, under the "Basic" section of the "Printer Settings" the dropdown menus for both "Page Setup" and "Media Type" won't activate. All other options and selections work fine. Just these 2 are not functioning. What's up with that??

Here we are 15 months later and Microsoft Excel 2013 has the SAME ERROR
If one chooses:
Print Preview
Page Setup
Sheet
Then the print area and print titles (Rows to repeat at top, columns to repeat at top)
are all grayed out and cannot be selected.
If, however, I choose the
page layout bar and click print titles then
everything works fine.
