AMAZING NEW IDEA for iTunes!!

I think iTunes would be so much better with a little arrow that shows what playlist is playing! So you will always know!
Check out the arrow by Genius below.
Replace that arrow with a fancy Apple Arrow, and its the best thing to ever happen to iTunes!
I hope this is seriously considered.
What does everyone think?

Hmmm not so sure about it being the best thing to ever happen to iTunes, but it's not the worst idea in the world either. Which is why iTunes sort of already has something similar. When you are listening to any song, on any album or any playlist, you can click the "Go Back" arrow to the right of the track name at the top and it will return you back to the playlist that is currently playing.
It's not the same, but it's similar.
I also wouldn't recommend they put an arrow next to a playlist since a sideways arrow signifies a dropdown menu or a folder (like the arrow next to "Anthony Rey's Library" in your posted example). Rather maybe sound sound waves (3 curved lines) coming out the left side of a playlist would help show what playlist was playing.

It appears to be a bug with the current build. Hopefully it will be fixed in the next release.

My Apple id was disabled and had to make a new one for iTunes but it's not letting me erase then re download the app with the new Apple ID Just got an iPad air 2 so my iCloud and family sharing is with the one that's disabled. Which I don't know how to switch to my new one, so I trying to erase my apps that won't load and just re download them with my new ID that is being used with the iTunes n app store but I can't even find most in purchased plus it's saying that I can't get it cuz that ID is not with family sharing but I donT know why it would not be. Please someone help.

OOk so I have my new Apple id in my iTunes account but my old Apple ID is the one that is in the iCloud account which is the Apple ID have been using for years and the reason I cannot get it on this abled is because somebody was using my credit card or debit card that was on file for family sharing and it was a stolen iPhone from my account so they had to disable my Apple ID and I could not use my debit card anymore on any Apple ID ever again they said because of it so I can't get it not to be disabled and I can't sign into iTunes with it I already have signed out and signed in with my new Apple ID for iTunes it's just iCloud is not letting me load anything so pretty much what I've been doing is I have to erase every app and then re-dumb going to iTunes and re-download the apps again but the only issue is that I still have a disabled Apple ID as my iCloud settings and my iCloud family sharing in all of that so I'm wondering how or is it possible to change my Apple ID for iCloud specifically because when I go into Icloud and settings and go into my name where my Apple ID is the one that's disabled it doesn't say anything about log out or sign out or anything like that it just says to put the password for it so is there a way to change the Apple ID for my iCloud so that my iTunes in my iCloud is the same Apple ID?

I can't even get my music from the iTunes library on my old Macbook onto my new one, because it won't let me sync my iPhone 5 with my old Macbook, as I can't update the iTunes software. As you have more than 1 computer authorised then you should be able to log into your account on your computer's iTunes (Store > View My Account) and 'deauthorise all' (which you can do once every 12 months) and you can then authorise/reauthorise the computers that you still have and need : authorising and deauthorising.

You can only use the US store if you are in the US with a US billing address on your account - the US store's terms of use (and they will be similar for all countries) :

Close your iTunes,
Go to command Prompt -
(Win 7/Vista) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES, right mouse click "Command Prompt", choose "Run as Administrator".
(Win XP SP2 & above) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES/Command Prompt
In the "Command Prompt" screen, type in
netsh winsock reset
Hit "ENTER" key
Restart your computer.
If you do get a prompt after restart windows to remap LSP, just click NO.
Now launch your iTunes and see if it is working now.

They still have some serious flaws with the album art retrival. I find I have to slighty change the artist information even if it matches exactly what's in the music store just to get the album art & some albums download the wrong cover or don't download at all. This is getting very annoying.

I have tried to download the new update for itunes now several times and it doesn't work! It gets so far then doesn't work. I have tried to uninstalled then reinstall itunes and that hasn't worked either so I no longer have a working itunes on my computer. And having an ipod nano, which doesn't have wifi I can't update it at all. Getting very annoyed!!!

New Feature for iTunes

I have a suggestion for a new iTunes feature concerning the sound preferences. The idea is for iTunes to have a separate volume control selection for headphones. This way the sound that comes out of the mani speakers will not shut off when the headphone selected.

HT2311 how to authorise a new iMac for iTunes

Hi All, complete newbie to all things Apple.
Just got a new iMac struggling a little with many things any advice would be very welcome ......before i go off the idea that a Mac was a good decision.
Current Probs: 1. Cant find out how to authorise the new imac as a new device for playing itunes.
2, Is installing windows 8 or 7 as a dual boot system, any down sides to this arrangement.
3. Is icloud email a viable email client, ie. mass mailing, categories etc.
4. All advice very very welcome

On iTunes, find Store in the menu bar, you can authorise your computer from there using the Apple ID you wish to use for that.

Click here and follow the instructions. You may need to completely remove and reinstall iTunes and all related components, or run the process multiple times; this won't normally affect its library, but that should be backed up anyway.

Old Library on External Harddrive not recognised on new PC for iTunes

Hi, I've just bought a new pc after my old one gave up one me. I have my iTunes library saved to an external harddrive and I've changed the Library name to that of my harddrive location in Prefences>General>Library Name. I also changed The Preferences Advanced tab>iTunes Music folder location to point to the external harddrive location where my music files are and no music appears in my library. All I want is my library off my ipod to be replicated back into the itunes library as i've a lot of history here. Can it be done?
