Does this mean it is possible to do in-app and subscriptions? How is this done?

Yes, it works. Amazon has made in-app purchases and subscriptions available on their Developer site. For testing purposes, I created a subscription app for the Amazon Fire (Northwest Scenery). Everything works. Instructions are here:

  • At Bat MLB.TV In App Subscription Cheaper Than Purchase From Website?

    I have an MLB.TV premium subscription for around 130$/year, so I can watch games via the app on my iPad/iPhone or via login on my Apple TV.
    I noticed that you can purchase a "MLB TV Premium Yearly" subscription in the At Bat app for just 21.99$/year. I have a couple of questions about this and couldn't really find answers to this via Google nor iTunes etc.
    Does the In App purchase contain the ability to watch every season game? Is it possible to stream from iPad/iPhone to my Apple TV if I purchase the much cheaper in app subscription? Why would I pay 130$/year instead of 22$ if I am located in the Apple ecoystem anyways (So no need to watch/stream on other devices than my Apple ones)?
    I am from non-English speaking Europe and have little issues in clearly understanding the difference between those 2 options.

    I've emailed MLB ten times, rung them twice spending more than 50 minutes on the phone from Australia, all for zero reuslt except being told to ring Apple. I've spoken to Apple but they just say ring MLB or we can try and get you a refund.
    Biggest problem with MLB appears to be that every time you email them a new case number is generated and you have to explain the problems from the beginning every time ... I just wanna watch some baseball!

    I currently subscribe to the Photographers Package for $9.99/month, which I'm more than happy with.  However, now I also want to subscribe to the Premiere Pro app. 
    Can I just add the Premiere Pro single app subscription to my current plan, therefore paying $9.99/m for the Photographers Package + $19.99/m for Premier Pro?

    Thanks for your replies; however, they both contradict each other so I'm a bit confused.
    Rajshree - if I purchase the whole creative cloud then I would expect to have access to all the apps, not just two.  But this is not what I want.  Surely, as John T Smith states, I should be able to add a single app subscription to my plan - how else can someone mix-and-match the products they want?

    As far as I know... yes... when you have Premiere Pro CC you are allowed to install the special Cloud version of Premiere Pro CS6... when you activate PProCS6, the bundled EncoreCS6 activates

    Purchase your content from iTunes instead.

  • Subscription Purchase Failed

    I have had an App rejected by Apple. While they were trying to test the annual subscription they got the message "Subscription Purchase Failed. Failed to purchase subscription, please try later."
    As far as I can see I have everything done correctly. The Product ID matches (triple checked) and I have single editions available. The Viewer Type is Multi-Issue with iTunes Subscription. This is the 4th App I have submitted to Apple and the previous 3 with similar configurations all got accepted without a problem.
    The other strange thing is when I publish a folio edition for retail it disappears off the development viewer. Publish again for free and it appears. Should a retail version not appear on the development viewer so I can sandbox test?
    PS: Rang Adobe 24x7, 365 DPS Pro Gold Support and got directed to a voice mail. Fail!!!

    "If you've purchased an auto-renewing subscription....it will be listed under the Manage App Subscriptions section of your Account Information Screen."  This section is not there, and a search comes up with no hits.  Any ideas on how to check this? 

    You can do it on your computer with the following steps:
    1) Open iTunes
    2) Click on the "Store" button in the top right screen
    3) Ensure you are on the "Home Screen" by clicking the little house on the bar on the top of iTunes
    4) Click "Account" that's in the "Quick Links" section
    5) That is the view being displayed by Churchill's screenshot simply scroll down to the bottom and it should say "Subscriptions" and to the right of the window click "Manage" and turn off auto renewal.
    If it is not listed following these steps then you need to call apple support at 1800MYAPPLE and talk to them to have it turned off.  It really takes about 5 minutes to cancel the renewal.  Also ensure that if you have, for some reason, multiple AppleIDs (husband and wife both have their own but a joint checking account card is assigned to both of their accounts) that you cancel the account on all AppleIDs.

  • Cancelling app subscriptions on phone

    I have an app subscription on my phone and it has way too many bugs to be paying $4 per week. I am trying to either get a refund for the months it hasn't worked, or cancel the entire subscription if a refund isn't possible.  I looked under settings/app store but there was no place to manage subscriptions. When I click on Report a Problem on the itunes receipt, it doesn't show me where to log a problem. I app developer is aware of the problem but cannot issue refunds or cancellations because it goes through itunes.

    TSN is correct: if you're having issues with your purchase, it's necessary to contact Apple, as Adobe doesn't handle subscriptions  purchased from the various app stores.
    If you have Adobe Reader installed, and have verified that you have an active subscription, but are still having trouble converting, please let us know exactly what's happening, so we can help.
