Amazon MP3 Cloud Drive

Hello, I recently downloaded some songs off Amazon on my PC. I stored all the song to their Cloud Drive so I could stream them through my HTC Incredible. When I open the Amazon MP3 app, the new songs are there but won't play. It doesn't seem to matter if I am on Wi-Fi or the Verizon Network. If I let it sit long enough(20-40min) it will eventually play one song. If you wanna hear another, it will continue to "think" or "buffer". Any ideas?

Your saying it works slightly better when downloaded on the phone rather off a PC??? OR That I should just download it and save it to the phone???

Unable to install Amazon Cloud Drive

I'll gladly admit that I'm a relative Mac newbie, and am probably doing something stupidly wrong here(!) but this one has me completely stumped.
I downloaded the new Mac OS X client for Amazon's Cloud Drive service. I double-clicked to launch it, then dragged the app icon over to the Applications folder in order to install it.
Now I see an Amazon Cloud Drive icon on my desktop, but clicking it doesn't take me to a signin screen for my Amazon account, as I would expect, but invites me to drag the app icon over to the Applications folder AGAIN. Starting from the Applications folder and trying to launch it from there gives me the same result.
What on earth am I doing wrong here? As I've said, I'm a Mac newbie, but I have successfully installed other applications, with no problems whatsoever.

There doesn't seem to be anything wrong with the method you used to install it, this is an Amazon issue. You may need to contact Amazon's support for some assistance if no one here is able to help you out.
To run the app, navigate to the Applications folder and double click the app. You can also drag it from the Applications folder to your Dock to create a shortcut. Another method of starting it is open Spotlight (Command Spacebar) and then type the name of the app.

Is it legal to upload my songs to amazon cloud drive?

I would like to upload my songs, which I purchased on itunes to Amazon cloud drive, so that I can play them on my android device?

I downloaded Amazon Cloud Drive Photos and now my phone won't recognized my wireless network

I downloaded Amazon Cloud Drive Photos app and now my phone won't recognized my Wi-fi network. My AT&T U-Verse technician is here and says
that is a known problem. Anyone else know how to resolve this without going to the Apple store?

Amazon Cloud Drive page gets stuck on "loading."

When I try to go to my Amazon cloud drive, the page opens but it gets stuck on "Loading" and the drive contents never appear. The page loads fine in IE and Chrome and I'm not having problems with any other websites in Firefox.

Amazon MP3 Uploader will not install - Does anyone know how to fix this?

I wanted to play around with the new Amazon Cloud. I want to try and upload many of my itunes songs to teh cloud and test it out.
When I download the Amazon MP3 Uploader it downlaods just fine. When I click it to install, it does nothing.
I deleted this download and re-downloaded it multiple times. It does the same thing.
Has anyone been able to install this on their MAC? I have a Mac Book Pro with Lion.

What is the "cloud drive" for on my imac

I just noticed "CLOUD DRIVE" listed under My Favorites on my iMac - what is it for?
It has three folders "Documents" - "Pictures" - "Videos" listed, but nothing is in them.

I have a new Kindle Fire HD and would like to move pictures from the mac book pro to amazon cloud and then to the Kindle. However my Pro OS10.5.8 apparently does not support this or so the error message said when I downloaded the Amazon Cloud Drive installer.

Downloaded new ios8, my name is on my husbands iPad with my email and Apple ID. I am the primary for cloud drive. I try to add him as a family member and it says you can't add yourself!

I ran into the same issue.
Go to "Settings", "iCloud", scroll to the bottom and "sign out" It will delete everything iCloud related upon your approval (don't worry, everything will remain in the cloud. Once signed out, in the same settings location (under "Settings", "iCloud") sign in using his Apple ID and Password.

What are the performance implications moving apps using cloud drive to Azure File Services?

I run a number of cloud services with 5 or more nodes in using cloud drives. Cloud drive is scheduled to be deprecated in 2015. So I am thinking of replacing the cloud drive with Azure Files service.
For each cloud service I am using one storage account to create all the the VHD/cloud drives. Some people at the time when cloud drive first appeared, told me that to get better performance, I should create only one VHD/Cloud Drive
under only one storage account. For example, if I have five instances under a worker role then I should create 5 storage accounts and create one VHD/Cloud Drive under each storage account to be used by each node. I didn't follow that route because I was satisfied
with the performance of the apps under cloud services having all VHD/Cloud Drives under one storage account.
My question is, if I replace cloud drive with Azure file services, will my apps perform well having all shares under one storage account or create one storage account for each share?

the limits of a single storage account (seemsdn.microsoft.com/.../dn249410.aspx)
and use multiple storage accounts if you need to scale beyond the limits.

[Request] Amazon MP3 Downloader

Amazon has released a Linux version of the Amazon MP3 Downloader program. It allows you to purchase and download entire albums of DRM-free MP3s at a discount over buying the MP3s one at a time.
They've only packaged it for Ubuntu, Debian, Fedora, and openSUSE. As far as I can tell, you have to go to the above URL and check the box to accept their terms of use before you can download it.
I tried creating my own PKGBUILD, but I'm not having much luck understanding exactly what goes where. Any help would be appreciated.

If you run Arch64, the amazonmp3 package in AUR will build, install and run nicely in a chrooted Arch32 setup (see instructions here).
Even though they're not releasing their source and they're not offering a 64-bit Linux version of their mp3 downloader, I agree that Amazon is worth supporting, since their mp3s are DRM-free.
When I've wanted to buy an album, which requires the Amazon downloader, I've previously been doing it under Windows, then just copying the files to my Linux filesystem. Using the chrooted Arch32 approach, I can buy Amazon mp3 albums without leaving home (i.e., without leaving Arch).

ITunes refuses to import Amazon MP3 album, claims permissions won't allow me. What?

I download through Amazon MP3.
I downloaded Muse's album and imported that into iTunes just fine, but for whatever reason, when I downloaded the Black Keys album El Camino it refuses to play ball.
I get "Attempting to copy to the disk "Macintosh HD" failed. You do not have enough access privileges for this."
Now, I did a permissions repair with Onyx, and even checked all the folders to make sure the permissions wasn't weirdly set, but nothing is wrong with those folders. They're not locked at all.
I can play the song files when I press space bar or even in things like VLC, but iTunes refuses to play ball for some reason. Is this an iTunes problem or Amazon? And if you could possibly point me to a forum post that is this exact problem I'd love you forever as I'm about to go on a cross-country road trip and would really love to play some Black Keys.

That's a workaround, but it doesn't really solve the mystery. Ordinarily, when you add music to your library, iTunes will create a directory with the Artist name and a subdirectory with the Album name. My guess is there's something weird about one of these fields, perhaps an unprintable character that you can't see, and when it tries to create the directories it fails (maybe I was too hasty in not blaming Amazon!). It might even be one of the individual song names.
If you're happy with this solution, fine, but if you want to track it down, I'd try this;
- select all the songs, do (right-click->get info)
- Delete and reenter the Artist and Album names. Make sure you clear the whole field
and don't use cut and paste.
- reenable the copy and manage options
- Try dragging the songs in again.
- If that doesn't work, try dragging one at a time to see if a particular song is causing the problem.
- If that's the case, check the fields for that song, and maybe reenter the title.
Note, if this works, you'll end up with two copies of everything, and you'll have to delete the one that wasn't copied.
In any event, I'd reenable the copy and manage options, so future music will be correctly copied.

Downloading music using Amazon MP3

I've been downloading music on my Blackberry curve 9320 using Amazon MP3 for a few months. now all of a sudden it won't let me download anything. Keeps giving me an error message 'your order could not be processed'. Amazon website says to review my account settings which I've done and they all seem ok, nothings changed?!
