Amazon prime, iPad to tv.

Amazon prime wont work with AirPlay even thought it's playing on the ipad2. Does anyone know if it will work by connecting the tv to the iPad2 with an HMDI cable?

Sorry I'm new to this. I just read all the other posts and got my answer. Doesn't work apparently from Amazon.

i'm trying to stream a video from my first generation iPad to my Apple TV. I'm able to stream from my iPhone 4S using AirPlay from my Amazon prime account. The iPad gives me a small box with the title of the movie. I can hear the audio,but I can't see the video. Amazon Prime reply app does not allow video airplay - nor do several other content providers.
It must have something to do with digital rights/copyright.

My iPad mini is getting full, so I'd like to delete the shows I've downloaded. Can I just delete the shows, or do I need to delete amazon prime, and then reinstall it?

The solution is:
1) Settings > Music > turn on "Show all music"
2) Open music app, and download all the songs that have the button next to it "cloud button".
3) After songs are download, swipe on the song you want to delete from right to left.
The download button will come back on, but ignore it.
4) Close music app.
5) Go back to settings, turn off "show all music"

Trying to watch amazon prime movies on my ipad, have instant movies app but keep getting playback error. What am I doing wrong?

the issue is DRM the same thing would happen with remote desktop
the DRM block the video stream from being sendt to a source where it have no control with if it's copied and in the proccess removing the DRM
it's 100% intentional and really because it's not really "legal" to do that
some people repport that the play called VLC works so that mean that player remove the drm itself which is again breaking the law

trying to install amazon prime app on my tablet but it keeps asking me for an itune account/password I don't have itunes is there any way to get past this so i can watch prime movies on my tablet with out itunes I really don't like itunes it is had to controll it trys to take over everything so I really don't want to install it unless I have too, thanks any help appericated, joy316

All iPads have the iTunes app permanently installed. Users cannot remove it. They can set up Restrictions in the Settings app and hide it, but it cannot be removed.
An iPad is a closed ecosystem. You cannot install anything on it without using the apps connected to an iTunes account; iTunes, App Store, iBooks, Podcasts and Newsstand.
I have no idea what you mean that iTunes takes over everything.

Trying to stream Amazon Prime Free videos from Ipad via Mirroring to Apple TV. Trailer plays fine. Real Movie plays audio only. Some error messahe that HD video can't be played over HDMI cable. I telling ya that 25 foot VGA cable is looking better and better. Apple TV tech the differrence had to be done at the time of encoding

Amazon blocks Airplay in encoding the movie. It's not the HDMI cable, or AppleTV for that matter.

Trying to watch Amazon Prime movies on iPad 2. After about 4 minutes it stops and to continue I have to go back to Amazon, search for movie, and resume.

When I try to watch an Amazon Prime movie on my iPad it stops the movie after about 4 minutes of viewing. I am sent back to the iPad main screen. To continue the movie I need to go back to Amazon, click Prime Movies, locate what I was watching and click resume.
I don't have this problem wihen watching the movies on a TV or computer.
What can I do to fix this?

Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.) No data/files will be erased.

there is no reason to get rid of Apple devices, not when a Chromecast, Roku, or FireTV can be acquired so cheaply.
This is a true statement, but this is a bad option in the long term since your content will be split between different sources, DRM rules, apps, access options, etc. You are going to constantly be running into issues were you want to watch a show that is not available on the device (phone, tablet, etc) you are on. I share "Disgusted_with_apple" frustrations in that Apple has not updated in three years now leaving Amazon FireTV and others with better interfaces and features but having my content locked into Apple's DRM.
Apple was really first to market with a viable TV interface device, and has completely turned the market over to its competitors just by not showing up. And now ATV can not play content, or provide features that ALL of the competitors have. I recently bought an Amazon FireTV and love it. The only advantage Apple has left is the iTunes Store still has more content, but that is not likely to last.

Websites and third party Apps need enabling before they will allow AirPlay of Video content. Some Website/App developers have not enabled their products, some simply haven't got around to it yet, others have stated that they won't be enabling AirPlay (likely as a result of licensing issues).
Amazon have blocked both basic AirPlay and mirroring.

I have an IPad 1 and Apple TV. I would like to view instant streaming videos from Amazon Prime, but only get audio not video through home sharing. Does anyone know a way to fix that?

You mentioned clearing history but not cache and cookies. Please give that a try, if that doesn't work-please tell us your operating system.
Many site issues can be caused by corrupt cookies or cache. In order to try to fix these problems, the first step is to clear both cookies and the cache.

Any chance of seeing Amazon Prime access on the TV?

I got an Apple TV for Xmas to replace a first generation Apple TV ( the one that looks like squashed Mac mini ) and was a bit surprised to find that access to my amazon prime tv shows and movies is not implemented.
I know I can run the output from the Amazon Prime Videos app on my iPad and mirror it to the TV but that lacks elegance and also I get some frame drop between my iPad 3 ( retina but with old large connector type)
Also I am not seeing either the ripped content or the audio books from the iTunes on the mac book pro under computers only the photos show in the computers tab of the Apple TV

Yes to all three one other thing the first time I went to the computers tab it said connecting to my MacBook Pro and then said it could not establish the connection.... I messed about with the iTunes Radio and then YouTube for a bit then tried it again but all I see under the computers tab is the photos selection.
And under music all I see are things I have bought via iTunes not my ripped music and audiobooks.
I assume the lack of access to my audible.com audio books is due to the same reason that amazon is not letting their prime content on the Apple TV as audible is owned by amazon... But audio books I have ripped to iTunes should be ok to listen to I have them on the iPad either through the iPad audible app or via the music app and I thought the same would be the case on the Apple TV .....
I guess I am just confused as to what apple does or does not allow on their tv

It doesn't appear that Apple TV is currently supported for Amazon Prime streaming. From the Amazon site:
