Ambiguous workflow when creating shopping cart

Hi,
When I am trying to create a shopping cart system is showing the error “ambiguous workflow”.
We are having a stand alone system in SRM5.0.
The configs that have been done are as follows:
1)Root organization , the purchase organization and purchase groups have been created and assigned to the root organization.
2)One manager and a employee have been assigned to the root organization.Manager has red hat.
3)For the task specific workflow configuration ,under assign agents the manager has been assigned to TS 10407964.
4)The standard SAP workflow are all active and have the same currency as the shopping cart .
Can anyone tell me the steps for checking the uniqueness of the workflow?
Further, do we require specifying anywhere that the manager is the approver of the employee or the system is supposed to find that automatically from the organization plan?
I am basically a MM guy new to SRM, so any input in this regard will be very useful.Points will be awarded.

Hi,
Please check whether for the SC multiple approval workflows are active by going in trascn SWE2.There for the Event BUS2121,you can see a list of workflows.
If more then 1 WF is active, then check whether the starting conditions(if they exist)  for the Workflows are unique.
If the starting conditions are not unique then the system doesnt understand which WF to trigger once the SC is saved..Hence you get the message that the "Workflow is ambigous".
If you are doing the agent assignemnt at the TASK level, the approver/manager be will be directly taken from there. However if you want some specific logic to be followed while determinig the agent, then you can write your own rule(in which the logic can be written to determine the Approver) which needs to be attached to the Task of the WF.
Alternatively, you also have N-step Approval Workflow for SC approval in which the complex logic for determinig can be written in a BADI.
For more details on WF,refer the foll link:

  • How to deactivate/ignore R/3 info records when creating Shopping Cart?

Hi all and thanks for reading...
We have the requirement of ignoring/deactivating R/3 info records when creating Shopping Carts SRM , so that no Vendor is proposed in transactions BBPSC01/BBPSC02.
At the moment, when info records exist in backed, system is proposing vendor and other data and we want them to be completely ignored, both in classic and extended classic scenarios.
How can we accomplish that? Is it possible to use BBP_SOS_BADI or is this BADI only valid for SRM local sources of supply?
Has anybody had the same problem and solved it before?
Thanks in advance for your help, regards
    David

    Hi  David
Inforecord  is only source of supply for classic scenario only.
Find and Check Sources of Supply
    Use
With the Business Add-In BBP_SOS_BADI, you can search for and check sources of supply according to your own rules. These sources of supply include contracts, vendor list entries and product linkages. For this, the customer fields of the shopping cart or purchase order are transferred to the BAdI.
    Standard settings
The BAdI provides the following methods:
    1. BBP_SOS_INDEX_UPDATE_CHECK
Use: Check and update contract items in the source of supply table.
    2. BBP_SOS_SEARCH
Use: Search for sources of supply according to your own rules.
    3. BBP_SOS_CHECK
Use: Check and filter the sources of supply found by the standard search according to your own rules.
    4. BBP_SOS_PD_CHECK
Use: Carrying out your own additional checks when creating a shopping cart document item with an assigned contract.
    Activities
Implement the BAdI if you wish to determine or check sources of supply according to your own rules.

    Hi
    Have you check OKB9 transaction in R3 - FI . ?
Here we maintain the Cost center - cost element ?
I guess, This is because the the particular material profit center which is link cost center in OkB9 in R3 FI requires a cost object. The cost object enttry is not maintained can u pls chk this with your local FI person and ask him to maintain the cost object for the cost center. See Material is linked to profit center and which is linked to cost center which in turn is linked to cost object. Then this error is material specific. Ask your SAP FI consultant to maintian the cost object for cost center which is linked ot the profit cente in material masters
To change the deafult G/L account, you need to use the BADI BBP_DETERMINE_ACCT.
Do let me know with more details in next reply.

  • Error When Create Shopping Cart from catalog SRM

    Hi all,
Currently, I have problem need your help.
I tried to create an shopping cart from catalog. But I don't know how the G_L_ACCT was lost.
The information about account like this:
Now, I want to know where this data is selected. Would you please help me for this issue.
    Extra Information: Acc_cat = 'A'.

Dear Melynessa: normally you should not get this error message when flagging "Order as Direct Material" in SRM 7.0.
Please, check in your backend ECC6 if "Value updating" flag has been selected or not for the material type of your SC material ID under the IMG path "Logistic - General --> Material Master --> Basic Settings --> Materual Types --> Define Attributes of Material Types"
If field  "Value updating" for material type is not flagged then, when creating a PReq or PO in SAP ECC6, you will get always an error message asking you for an account assignment.
Due to the circumstance above, in SRM, materials ID belonging to non-valuated material types should not be ordered as direct (flag order as direct is available always when you enter a material ID, even when it is non-valuated). If you flag the field "Order as Direct" for a non-valuated material, standard SRM system doesn't issue any error message. So, maybe, there is BAdi in your SRM system checking the "Value updating" for material type and avoiding "Order as Direct Material" flag being selected when it is a non-valuated material
    Hope it helps.

We have implemented n step approval workflow.
The issue is when the shopping cart gets rejected, the workflow WS14900032 gets called which sends the mail to approver/initiator/reviewer.

The budget is defined in the SAP Enterprise Buyer System and does not originate from FI/CO.
You can save the purchasing budget in various objects in the system:
    §         User (Transaction SU01)
Tab Personalization ® Personalization object BBP_USER_BUDGET:
Here you define the amount, currency and validity of the purchasing budget.
A budget defined here has the highest priority and is called in every case.
    §         Role (Transaction PFCG)
    As under User (above).
Each user that is assigned to this role has the budget of this role.
This budget is subordinate to the budget assigned to a user.
    §         Organizational Plan (Transaction PPOMA_BBP)
Organizational Unit ®  Extended Attributes ® Purchase Order Limits ® User Budget:
Here you define the amount, currency and validity of the purchasing budget.
This budget is subordinate to the budget assigned to a user.
If budgets have been defined both for the role and for the useru2019s organizational unit (and none for the user himself), then the budget with the highest value is used.

  • Workflow retrigger for shopping cart

    Hi All,
What is the procedure to retrigger workflow manually for shopping cart?and what the precautuions to be taken when retriggering workflow for SC.
    Thank you
    Regards,
    Yshu

    Hi,
What is your business scenario, you can trigger the workflow again when you change the shopping cart once it is created.
    This can be:
    1) When users create a shop, hold and then on a later date they want to change the shop and complete the action.
    2) When the shopping cart is created always the employees need to have the change functionality till the approval takes place for that particular shopping cart.
This can be achieved by using the different parameters in the BBP_WFL_SECURITY in the Personalization tab in the SU01 , Personalization Object Key and the authorization level 0,1,2,3,4

You would need to define secondary RFC Destination. Follow these steps to the end.
1.Create a secondary RFC user and an authorization in the backend(ECC)
1a)In Transaction SU01, create a new user (on the 'Logon data' tab,
you should select user type 'Dialog' or 'Service').
1b) Call Transaction PFCG for the role maintenance and create your own
    role.
1c) In the role, select the 'Authorizations' tab and and choose the
    button to change the authorization.
1d) Do not select ANY template on the dialog box.
1e) Choose 'Manual' ; then enter authorization object S_RFC and confirm
    the entry.
1f) Expand the authorization object and choose the pencil symbol for
the 'Name of RFC to be protected'.
1g)Choose the pencil symbol for the 'Type of RFC object to be
protected', select the 'Function group' checkbox and save the
    change.
1h)Generate and save the authorizations. Then return to the role.
1i)On the 'User' tab, enter the user you have created and carry out a
    user comparison.
    2. Define an secodary RFC destination in SRM server with the RFC user you have created
    3. Supplier Relationship Management -> SRM Server -> Technical Basic Settings -> Define Backend Systems
In the Logical system entry of your backendsytem :Enter the secondary RFC destination into RFC(Dialog) field of the
4.Also make sure that the end user(Person creating shopping cart) has authorization object M_BBP_SHLP.
Let me know if this helps.

  • Unable to create shopping cart - Jurisdiction code could not be determined

    Hi,
I've found several threads here asking about tax jurisdiction code but none of them seem to solve my problem.
When we create shopping carts for our north american back end R/3 system we cannot save them because of an error with the jurisdiction code "Jurisdiction code could not be determined ".  Our ship-to address is correctly maintained with the city, country, post code, etc.  I have tried maintaining the jurisdiction code on our organisational business partner but this makes no difference.  For info, we use Taxware to create the jurisdiction code in the back end.
We looked at applying oss note 436760 but apparently this note is only valid for SAP Basis Component 4.6 and 6.1 but we are on 7.00.  Do you think it is necessary for us to implement a BADI?
Thanks in advance for any help.
    Roo

    Hi All,
Please see my answer to similar concern raised in the thread:
    [BAdI BBP_CATALOG_TRANSFER - Material Group Mapping issue;
Your question is that initially it was working with Jurisdiction code and now not? Why?
Because, the backend system is either connected to the third party Tax engine such as Taxware, and doing so, some of the addresses (Country, Region, City and Pin Code combination) may have more than one Jurisdiction code, in such cases, SRM gets confused of which code to select, and hence the error.
Use the BAdI and get going!
    Thanks for reading!

  • Needs BAPI name to create shopping cart in background-SRM 5.0

    SRM Experts,
We have a scenario where users has to enter more than 100 line items in the shopping carts. So we are thinking about following solution...
User will enter all required information in a spread sheet and save it in a txt file.
We will develop a custom program to upload the txt file and create a Shopping cart in SRM 5.0. We are using classic scenario, so PR/PO are created in the backend ECC 6.0 system. Once shopping cart is created it should go to normal SRM workflow for approval. Which BAPI I have to use to create shopping carts in the background in SRM 5.0 and the shopping cart should go to normal workflow process for approval?
    Thanks in advance!

    Hi Experts,

In SRM MDM When we are trying to create new shopping cart using the "Old Purchase Orders and Templates"

    Hi Narayana,
Let me jot down my understanding:
When your are trying to use a previously created shopping cart to create a new shopping cart you are getting this error.
The error basically speaks about a difference in schema when populating/retrieving a field with mentioned id.
Kindly Check the schema for changes.

  • Create Shopping Cart to ref Price Conditions in SRM5 ECS

    Hi there
I have a question about pricing conditions for ( my systems are MDM2.0, SRM5.0 , ECC 6,  Extended classic  )
Price conditions has a limitation for ECS..meaning? Does this mean we cannot use pricing conditions on the shopping cart level for ESC
I have a MDM catalog item that will be transfered to SRM. I want to show in my SRM shopping cart my catalog item plus 2 surcharges
My approach is to apply a pricing condition to my item coming in from the mdm catalog.
Example: catalog item (is for Services-labour resource): Jr SAP Basis, $90 from supplier XYZ.
My item is a catalog item ..it has no material master.
I have created, made entries in SRM server-> cross App basic settings->pricing->Process condition type and Process calculation schema
I have created in SRM 2 custom condition types that are a percentage surcharge (so for my example it would be % of base price of  $90).
These condition types are copied form SRM server-> cross App basic settings->pricing->process condition type (01RP u2013Discount%)
    Condition type 1: Z1RBu2026.Burden rate  (5% of $90)
    Condition type 2: Z1RMu2026Markup rate (10% of $90)
One of the fileds in Process Condition types is  u201CSource Systemu201D which can be local ie SRM or Other system like SAP R/3
So my option is to reference the local SRM system( if this can be done here u2026where?) or ref the backend and create these same price conditions types.
I cant find anywhere in SRM to create a condition table to enter the relationships of my Jr SAP Basis, $90 from supplier XYZ. So that I can associate this info with Burden and markup that changes per supplier
Hope my scenario is clear and question too
    cheers

    Hi Virender
Thanks for you responce. I was going down this pasth of using a shoppingcart form the info on this SAP link below i thought it was possible...
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_srm50/helpdata/en/72/f40f3c98ddaa4ce10000000a11402f/frameset.htm
    Pricing
    Use
Pricing is a method of determining prices using the condition technique. SAP Enterprise Buyer uses Pricing when purchase documents are being created, for example, when a shopping cart or purchase order is created. The system automatically determines the gross price and any surcharges and discounts that apply to a specific vendor according to defined conditions. The system uses the gross price and these surcharges or discounts to determine the net price..
Now handling this requirement on the MDM side...can i use Expressions to do the calculations of these to fields.
i want 2 unique fields for these to values...that will mean 2 custom fileds to be passed on using the BAdI) BBP_CAT_CALL_ENRICH..
    cheers
