AMD Graphics driver issue

so i installed the newest build and i receive an error from AMD saying there's no driver or isn't responding correctly so i reinstalled the driver for it 3 times and still no success i will attempt to uninstall the current drivers for it and reinstall but
i need some assistance on this

Try this: Download AMD Catalyst Omega 14.12 for your Hardware. Extract its content. Go to Control Panel -> Devices manager -> Choose device Update driver for this device -> Give exact pathway for extracted content of Catalyst 14.12 -> Wait until
driver is installed. Reeboot.
After reeboot U should have your radeon listed in Device Manager. But there will be no Catalyst Suite. To install it, start normall installation process of AMD Catalyst Omega 14.12 (choose customized install) Thick to instal Catalyst Suite.
Now U have device and Suite installed. Works like a charm with AMD 7700M, Intel 4000HD switchable graphics & Windows 10 Technical Preview v. 9926

  • 'No AMD graphics driver is installed..'

Hi, I've recently been receiving this message 'No amd graphics driver installed or is not functioning properly. Please install the amd driver appropiate for your amd software' on my pavilion dv6 and I'm not sure why? When I look in the Device Manager under Display adapters there are 2 graphics cards showing - AMD Radeon HD 7400M Series (which has the following device status 'Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)' which I assume is where the problem lies and the other one is ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4200 Series which has the device status 'No drivers are installed for this device.' I have tried disabling each one and looking for updates but nothing seems to work. I recently upgraded to Windows 10 from Windows 7 but the issue was there before the upgrade. Any help would be much appreciated!

Then you should not do it by yourself, find a friend who knows what the BIOS is and how to reset it to its default settings and request him/her to help you

I tried to update the driver in device manager itself but it tells ( Windows found the driver for the device but unable to install), I even tried windows update there it shows the driver update but whent i try to install it shows error Code 80070002.
Because of this im unable to play games and watch hd videos in my laptop.
Please some one help me to solve this problem.

    Hi:
The only graphics driver you should install for your model is the AMD graphics driver which will install both the AMD and Intel GPU's.
If you installed the Intel graphics driver from your PC's support and driver page, that could be preventing the correct AMD driver from installing.

  • Installing AMD graphic driver turns into BSOD

Hello, I have recently reinstalled Windows on my laptop and now i can't install AMD graphic driver. Whenever I try to install it, my screen switch off ( as usual during installing of graphic driver) and then turns into BSOD with error "atikmpag.sys". After this, I am unable to switch on my computer, because there is always BSOD waiting for me and I have to reinstall windows again. This is happening with Win 8.1 and with Win 7. I have tried many versions(releases) of drivers and many ways to install them. But the result is always the same: BSOD "atikmpag.sys".
Could u give me any solution for my problem? It is really frustrating. I am not very used to write in English, please excuse me. Regards, Patrik Obrtlík

AMD's 'catalyst clean utility' (stand-alone program) is notoriously bad, yes especially for switchable graphics laptops. And have heard some horror stories of that ruining windows installations needing a reinstall DDU, I would argue is perfectly safe however. It is pretty universal generic clean utility which can clean both AMD and Intel components. I use it myself(HP envy 15 with AMD+Intel), though AMD catalyst install manager (from 'uninstall or change programs' list) would work, though I don't think it cleans/removes Intel installations.

    MSI Z77a-G45 graphics driver issue.
Trying to install the graphics drivers for this board from the MSI site, I but every time I do so on loading windows 7 my monitor just goes to sleep and I have to roll back the driver in safe mode. This is the same for the driver found in the windows 7 updates.
Iv downloaded the files a few times over and reinstalled windows twice and the problem remains. Can anyone suggest anything? Is there something I’m missing or need to set in the UEFI bios for using the onboard graphics?
    MSI Z77A-G45, i5-3570K, 2x 8GB Corsair memory, Windows 7 64bit.
    Thanks.

    My BIOS is E7752IMS V2.10
    Iv already downloaded  V2.A
However  I have to say the guide at uk.msi.com/service/biosupdate/ , appears to be putting v2.2 on top of v2.2.
it also says "Download the BIOS that matches your motherboard and version number to your USB device."
I'm not entirely sure what is meant by 'version number' but it dose suggest i need to download V2.10 not V2.A ... call me picky but i want to be sure! lol.
Can anyone confirm ether way? It dose seam rather odd!
    Thanks.

    Update on my graphics issue
With the default driver, just before the windows 7 log in screen appears. I was getting a portion of it appear first on the bottom 1/8 of the screen. Now its appears to be a snowstorm of bad graphics and its the same when I switched to using HDMI instead.
Not sure if that's a good sign!
For reff my screen is a HP LP2475w tho I'm rather sure there is nawt wrong with the screen.

  • AMD Graphics Card Issue

This past year I switched to CC.  I then discovered the 2014 version of Adobe Premiere Pro required me to upgrade my video card.  I have Intel i7 920 running at 2.67 with 4 core with 16 GB installed and 32 GB total virtual memory on a board.  My computer guy installed AMD R9 290X. It never worked right.  In the initial testing it looked fine.  The software that came with the card showed solid performance,  when I took it home and started to use intensive video applications such as Warp Stabilizer after a few minutes the whole computer would slow down and the computer would literally stop.  We went through replacing three video cards.  All did not work.  We switched out to a R9 285.  (He sold AMD)  It worked, but I didn’t try doing the warp.  I finally did try using the Warp Stabilizer on a video last Sunday and the computer shut down.  Now the computer is acting as if it doesn’t have any accelerated video card at all. Windows says the card is operating fine.
Before I switch brands I want to make sure I have done everything. I am not excited on dropping unexpected dollars here.  The video card is listed by Adobe as approved.
Is there a diagnostic program that will show that Adobe programs are working properly with the video cards?   I am not going back to my same computer because this is over his head. If you have any suggestions, I am all ears, but this is out of my technical league.  I just want to do video.
Here is my event log bug check: and below that are the settings for the video card

Update 12/11/14 - Finally was able to have Adobe syc with computer.  Answer is graphics card works. Heavy graphics use such as Warp Stabilizer may cause shut down.  "Oh",  Maybe a cigarette warning would be helpful on the app. Maybe an app to signal that's what occurred or suggested techniques of maybe breaking up large clips into smaller ones. Anything would have save me hours of investigating.  I mean do we all have to be techies to use this product?

    hi Ashish1793,
If you're running on Windows 7 64bit, can you consider the following:
    1. Navugate to the Control Panel (icon views) > Display Adapters and uninstall both the Intel and AMD Display driver then reboot.
    2. Install the Intel Display Driver first then reboot.
    3. Install the AMD Dislpay Driver (the files will be extracted drivers to the C:\Drivers\VGA folder - overwrite if prompted and reboot if necessary)
When finished,  you should now have both the Intel HD Graphics 4600 and AMD R5 M230 in the Device Manager > Display Adapters
If you get a Code 43 error on the AMD Display Device Manager, try to install the AMD R5 M230 driver directly from AMD website and observe.
If you have Windows 8.1, download the Intel and AMD Display driver from the G50-70 drivers page and install them respectively.

Have just upgraded my Compaq 100-105ef to Windows 10, no issues except the graphics driver which is causing me problems with some games that played OK under Windows 8.1.The processor is AMD E1-1500 with integrated HD7310 graphics. Have tried the AMD site and their Windows 10 driver package does not support my graphics.Anyone have the same issue or know a workaround? My current driver is 15.200.1012.2 which worked really well under Windows 8.1. Thanks in advance.

Hi, Your PC has not been certified by HP for Windows 10 hence no drivers updates have been posted. Try reinstalling the posted W8.1 driver.

    Hello HPENVYm6-1201TX,
I have read your post on how your notebook computer is producing an error message in regards to your AMD driver, and I would be happy to assist you in this matter!
To ensure that the software is installed and functioning properly, I recommend performing a clean boot on your notebook. To do this, please follow this document on How to perform a clean boot in Windows. This should help eliminate software conflicts that occur when you install a program or an update or when you run a program in Windows.
The next step I suggest is to remove the AMD driver installed on your computer, and install the driver provided on HP's website. If you need to, you can use this document on how to remove software from Windows 8.1. You can find the necessary driver by click on the AMD High-Definition (HD) Graphics Driver.
Instead of updating the driver from AMD's website, please follow this document on Using HP Support Assistant (Windows 8) to update the necessary drivers.
Please re-post with the results of your troubleshooting, and I look forward to your reply!

  • Surface Pro 3 Display/Video/Graphics Driver Issues - DisplayPort, External Monitors, Windows 10 Build 9926

Surface Pro 3 - i5 with Intel HD Graphics 4400
    Windows 10 build 9926
    All Latest updates installed
    Intel Graphics Driver 10.18.15.4079.
Latest system update released on Jan 22nd (which I understand is just the latest intel graphics driver?).
The display driver status has this error message: Windows has stopped this device because it
    has reported problems. (Code 43)  - I assume it's
reverting to the basic Microsoft driver when this occurs. Which explains why my displayport (External monitors) will not work.
I have uninstalled the driver completely (and deleted the driver files), tried the Windows basic driver,
and rebooted several times with no luck.
I cannot get my docking station displayport or the  displayporton my surface pro 3 working.
According to Microsoft (see below), this is a known issue UNTIL you update to display driver
    version 4079  - which I have.
Known issues on Surface after updating to Windows 10 January Technical Preview
On Surface Pro 2 and Surface Pro 3, the Mini DisplayPort won’t work on the Windows 10 January Technical Preview until you’ve installed graphics driver 4079 or later. Check Windows Update often for the most recent graphics driver.
On Surface Pro 2 and Surface Pro 3, you’ll notice poor graphics rendering on the Windows 10 January Technical Preview until you’ve installed graphics driver 4079 or newer from Windows Update. Check Windows Update often for the most recent graphics driver.
If you’re using video driver 3496, you may need to start in safe mode and remove that driver. Then restart Surface in normal mode and go to Windows Update to get the most recent graphics driver.

    Hi Nicholas,
Similar issue has been asked here:
Surface Pro 3 restarting after a series of blank screens!
For error code 43, here is a reference:
Code 43: Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems
For the current situation, please try to wait for the driver update, as display driver version 4079 didn't work well at your side, please submit this through Windows Feedback Tool.

  • HP Pavilion dv6t-6c00 CTO Entertainment Notebook PC AMD Graphics driver

I have been having this problem for over a year (my warranty had conveniently just expired right before this started happening). It first started when I plugged in my computer to my tv through an HDMI cord (which I had done before with no problems). My computer shut down after loading up a game and when I finally got my computer back up and running, it said my AMD graphics card driver was not working properly. Every time I tried to repair or update it through the HP Website via the drivers list, it would crash my computer. After I unstalled the driver completely, it STILL crashes my computer upon trying to  now re install it. I am very frustrated and at a loss, and I know there have been a lot of problems with these drivers in the past. They haven't even been updated since 2011... I built this computer to be a gaming lap top, and at this point it is just a suped up paper weight as there's no point in even having 8GB of RAM or 1TB of hard drive memory if I can't even run my games on it... Has anyone had this problem or found a solution to it?

  • HP ProBook 4530s Windows XP Graphics Driver issue

    Hey
I just got a few of these 4530s and installed XP on them however the graphics driver won't take. I keep getting the error "This computer does not meet the minimum requirements."
It has Service Pack 3 and is Windows XP Pro which is the only requirements I could find for the driver. Does anyone have any ideas why it won't install the graphics driver?
This is the driver I found on HP for the graphics. Graphics Driver
I have even googled and can't find any other ideas or situations where this occurs.
Any ideas would be very much appreciated. Thanks!
    This question was solved.
    View Solution.

Please give us the hardware ID from device manager for the video chip. Any chance the units you have use the discrete AMD graphics instead of the integrated Intel HD 3000? That would explain why the Intel driver doesn't work.
You can also go to intel.com and download their generic video driver for the HD graphics for 32 bit XP:
    http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&DwnldID=20611&ProdId=3231&lang=eng
This covers both the i series core version of the intel video and the Celeron version; again not sure what you have.

  • No AMD graphics driver installed

Hi everyone, I trust all is well. I'm having a bit of a problem on my side. I formated my HP Pavilion dv6-6080ei last night and now that I'm trying to install my drivers I keep on getting the following message: "No AMD grapics driver is installed. or the AMD driver is not functioning properly. Please install driver appropriate for your amd hardware." Your assistance will be greatly appreciated. Kind regards

Hi: I think that HP only supports your model for 64 bit operating systems. The graphics driver you need is the 5th (last) one listed under the graphics section of the driver page below. http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/HP-Pavilion-dv6-6000-Entertainment-Notebook-PC-series/5048664/model/5076715 If you get an error that says the driver is for 64 bit only, let me know and I will see if I can find the 32 bit driver you need.
