AMD HD Radeon 6310 - 1080p Video flickering only in browser

Hello All,
I just got my Lenovo Thinkpad 120E with AMD HD Radeon 6310 card. I am able to play youtube videos of 1080p resolution and video files of full HD / Bluray resolutions if I play through VLC or one of those std video players.
But playing 1080p contents in browser (other than youtube) is flickering. Even netflix HD contents are flickering and A/V sync goes off.
Network Bandwidth seems to be fine since I am able to play those contents in same browser (Chrome) in my HP elite (NVIDIA)
Since downloaded videos files are playing fine, I think my device is capable for handling HD videos. Then why browser play is not working.
Please help me to identify the issue. I dont want to return the laptop just for this problem.
Let me know if you need more info on the card to give suggestions.

Perhaps installing these will make a difference, but to answer your question, yes, the AMD E-350 CPU is for netbooks and other small-form-factor, low-power devices. Performance-wise, it competes with Intel's Atom and i3 processors.

AMD 4250 Radeon ATI M880G video proccesor

So I have an aging HP Pavillion dv7 with a 4250 Radeon chip. It's still a nice pc for most uses and the big bright screen is great for videos and surfing, thing is on the occasion I do get an itch to do some light gaming the old chip just doesn't seem to have the chops anymore.
I'd hate to have to toss aside the entire laptop over a vid chip so I was hoping there might be a driver update or "bandaid".
Oh, the pc model # is dv7-6153-nr.

Welcome to the HP Forums!
I understand you are looking for a patch or driver update for improved graphics performance on your notebook. To use the switchable/dual graphics feature properly you must use the drivers provided for HP. Unfortunately the only drivers available are dated June 2011.
The drivers are available here: AMD High-Definition Graphics Driver, assuming you're still running Windows 7.
There are no ways to upgrade the mobile GPU on this notebook and as time goes on game support becomes more and more limited on older hardware.

IPhone 5 1080p video

My iTunes preferences are all set to 1080p for HD movie downloads, although Apple says my iPhone 5 will play 1080p video, its only downloading the 720p version to my device. Does anyone know why this is the case?

haha...its 'marketing' all right..not science... 1080p video means 1080 number of vertical lines. iphone 5 is 1136x640. so it really doesnt even have the number of lines required for half-HD which is 720p. In any case, you won't see any difference viewing 720p vs 1080p on the iphone because the # of lines are just not there. Now if you are downloading and connecting to a hdtv and streaming thats a different thing because the hdtv will support 1080p. but the phone does not.

Probably because your set up doesn't support HDCP.

I understand that you are looking for help with your video drivers for the adapters in your notebook. Unfortunately, after doing some searching, it appears that Windows 8.1 is not a supported operating system for this notebook. HP customized drivers are only available for the Windows 7 operating system.

Но как только автоматически устанавливаются драйвера, начинает перегружаться компьютер! Thank you for visiting the HP Support Forums and Welcome. I have looked into your issue about your HP Pavilion dv6-3050ee Notebook and issue with Graphic drivers for Windows 8.1. You system shows me that the drivers are only available for Windows 7 on this machine. Updating to Windows 8.1 would rely on Windows 8 drivers only and you would lose some of the enhanced effects on this Notebook.
No, you can not use the Notebook without drivers installed.
Have you tried to just update the drivers in the Device manager on Windows 8.1?

AE CS6 doesnt recognize my ATI Radeon HD 6850 video card GPU

As in the title, it keeps me saying GPU is not enabled while OpenGL 4.1 is supported. Any suggestions?

The video driver should be correctly updated, i launched just yesterday a quick AMD app to do that.
I dont get what screenshot you want, i dont have any OpenGL preferences in Video Card settings, but i do have put below the screenshot of AE OpenGL preferences, evenif the first part is in Italian.

[GUIDE] Update AMD Mobility Radeon drivers to fix graphics issues

I made this small guide because some topics on this forum are about this problem and there is no official step-by-step solution from HP. So, how to fix your laptop's graphics issues by updating drivers for AMD Mobility Radeon HD GPU to latest version from AMD?
1. Install latest BIOS for your laptop from HP.http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Display-and-Video/Official-HP-statement-on-Switchable-Graphics-and-Open-GL/td-p/766285
2. In BIOS set Switchable Graphics Mode to 'Fixed mode'.http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/268/79500144.jpg/
3. Install latest graphics driver for your laptop from HP.http://www8.hp.com/us/en/support-drivers.html
4. In Catalyst Control Center make sure that active GPU is 'High-performance GPU'.http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/853/cccv.png/

Download latest version of Mobility Radeon drivers for your operating system from AMD.For now, I recommend version 12.6:- for Windows 7 64-bit:http://www2.ati.com/DRIVERS/mobile/12-6_mobility_vista_win7_64_dd_ccc.exe- for Windows 7 32-bit:http://www2.ati.com/DRIVERS/mobile/12-6_mobility_vista_win7_32_dd_ccc.exe
6. Install AMD driver on top of HP driver. This installation will update AMD components to latest version.
7. Enjoy graphics performance as if it was properly supported by HP.
Solution for HP:
Release new driver each time AMD makes a new release within 1 week maximum. Hard? But this guy does nearly the same. Alone and for free. http://leshcatlabs.net/ OR simply ask AMD to provide direct links to new drivers like in an example above (see point 5) and sticky these links with a step-by-step instruction on this forum.

hey there, i ve recently bought the g6-1304sv notebook first things i did when i got it was all the updates, both the windows 7 updates and the HP assistant updates(that basically gave me the new bios and i guess new drivers for graphics) when i got into the bios and actually switched it to fixed mode the notebook gave me a bluescreen (i could only get into the pc in safe mode through which i uninstalled drivers for both the onboard and the amd card in order to actually get back in the pc normal way) the strange thing after that was that it didnt give me the catalyst center on the right click and when i downloaded and installed the latest it would say that catalyst could not start because it couldnt find the card (or sth like that) updated drivers for amd etc but still nothing. what i did then is creat backup cds and restore pc to factory settings. (does that remove bios update? dont think so)From that point onwards everything works fine and im now using the amd card no problemwhat worries me is the hp assistant messages saying that i need to update urgently. will that mess everything up again?i hope this helps others and i hope you have an answer for me thx in advance and for the guide!!!

It doesn't really matter if it's an 10 or 8 bit video, it always falls back to software decoding, spouts out these error messages and as a result
the video is completely fucked up or just stutters/drops frames like crazy. This only happens with 1080p videos, 720p or below is just fine.

I'm experiencing this as well, specifically on 0.4.x. If I downgrade to 0.3.9 it works fine, vdpau and all. Try it yourself. I'm thinking it's a bug in mpv.

When i play 1080p video on my new lg tv from my macbook retina late 2013, it stutters.

When i play videos from my ssd from my macbook pro retina it stutters. Mostly it happens with 1080p videos.
Ive read different discussions about this topic and ive already tried to set my tv in cinema mote. This didnt help.
Also i tried to turn off tru motion, this didnt help as well.
Ive also tried different videoplayers but it didnt make a difference.
When i play it on my internal macbook screen it doenst stutter at all. It only happens on my external lg tv screen with hdmi.
Ive tried different hdmi cables as well but this too didnt make a difference.
Ive also heard about different refresh rates but i doent know how i can adjust this on my lg tv (lg46LM760).
Please help the stuttering is very annoying and there is no quick awnser available anywhere on the web. And since this is a common problem with many people the awnser probably helps a lot of people.

Additionally, you can run the Apple Diagnostics test from home, though it would not be as reliable as Apple's in house diagnostics in detecting an issue:

How to setup my camera for 1080p video

Hi ! I did some video with my new iPhone 5 and the resolution is not 1080p it's only 500 ? x 300 ? And not 1920x1080.
Is there an explanation ? Is there a configuration that i did not see ?

The camera on the back of the iPhone 5 shoots in a higher resolution than the camera on the front of the iPhone.
Try tapping the switch camera icon at the top right corner of the screen, when recording.

1080p Video Support

I currently have a Microsoft LifeCam Cinema, which supposedly supports 720p video calling. I have fast Internet (100 Mbps upload and 100 Mbps download) and a fast computer (used for gaming), and when I use Skype it says my video quality is only medium. The call technical information says the video is 1280x720. Does Skype for Windows desktop (not the modern app) support 1080p video, and which webcams support that? It looks like a lot of 1080p webcams only support 720p video calling.

As far as I know Microsoft LifeCam Cinema does not support 1080p, but Logitech c920 does. I have the c920 webcam and have no problems with sending video in 1080p.
You can disregard the call quality info about "medium quality". It's erroneous. I'm seeing the "medium quality" all the time even when video is sending in perfect 1080p resolution. I don't know when Skype intends to fix this annoying bug.

Can the ipad2 export 1080p video?

I know that iMovie allows this and so does vericorder 1st video, but I haven't seen this capability in any other app. The guy who makes Videograde had this to say:
Unfortunately, the iPad 2 is does not allow for the 1080p video processing. The device is capable of it, but iOS restricts that option. I even got confirmation from Apple that the only current device supporting that feature is the iPhone 4S.

I'm, not sure what to think - the latest avid app only allows 720p export on the iPad 2. Surely they would have provided 1080p if it was allowed. Then why does apply only allow it in iMovie????? So confusing!!!!!!

The iPad 3 (aka 'new iPad') specs are crystal clear when it comes to video out: AirPlay video streaming to Apple TV (3rd generation) at up to 1080p and Apple TV (2nd generation) at up to 720p
The iPad 2 specs are vague: Video mirroring and video out support: Up to 1080p with Apple Digital AV Adapter or Apple VGA Adapter (cables sold separately).
No mention of Apple TV.
Does anybody know for certain whether the iPad2 will support 1080p video streaming to Apple TV (3rd generation) ?

I have previously saved my .mov file as Apple TV, but the quality is reduced from 1920x1080 to 960x540. I was unable to sync the higher quality file to my phone (and am worried this is the limitation of the hardware). I added this file to iTunes, added to a playlist, and sync'd to my iPhone. The playback works but the resolution is obviously a lower quality.Is it possible to keep the higher quality for playback through a 1920x1080 hd monitor? No. Only the iPhone 4S, iPad3, and TV3 currently support 1080p30 content. Even then the 1080p30 playback support for your monitor may depend on how the device is connected. The iPhone 4 is limited to 720p30 playback.

Not on your current device. As previously stated, the latest generation of iPhone, iPad, and TV devices support a maximum 1080p30 playback capability but may be limited to lower resdolutions depending on your method of connection to your monitor. This information can be found on the Apple web site TechSpecs page for each respective device.
