AMD R5 M230 ON WINDOWS 7 X64 DOESNT WORK

So I just installed Windows 7 ultimate x64 on my lenovo g40 with the amd radeon r5 m230. I installed the drivers of the graphic card but the system does not recognize it. I looked on the device manager and it shows this:
-AMD Radeon R5 M230 with a yellow triangle.
-Standard VGA Graphic card -working fine
I saw a thread that said that I should install the intel driver and then the amd driver but when I try to install the intel vga driver it shows this:
"This system does not meet the minimum requirements to install this software"
I have tried installing the amd drivers and nothing works. The aero does not want to work.
What can I do? Thanks

Just to verify, do you have the G40-30 or the G40-70?
For the G40-30, this is uses an Intel Celeron N2830 processor, in whicn you need to install this graphics driver:
Intel VGA Driver for 64-bit Windows
If you have the G40-70, this is either powered by an I3/i5/i7 processor, and you need to install this graphics driver:
Intel VGA Driver for Windows 7 (64-bit) - Lenovo G40-70, G50-70
or
Intel® Iris™ and HD Graphics Driver for Windows* 7/8/8.1 64bit
When finished, install the AMD R5 M230 driver:
AMD VGA Driver for Windows 7 (32-bit, 64-bit) or try this AMD R5 M230 driver directly from AMD website and observe.

Photoshop cs4 + windows 7 RC = doesnt work with aero

I just installed the trail version of photoshop cs4 on the 64bit version of the windows 7 RC.
Initially I had some problems, similar to when I tried to install it on Vista Home Basic 64bit (which is not supported by cs4 at all)
The thumbnail was displaying correctly what should have been in the canvas, but the canvas area itself was not displaying anything other than grey.
then I switched off the Windows 7 Aero theme and suddenly everything was working, which is neat.
I would have liked to keep aero on, but whatever works... has anyone else had this happen?

Running with the trial license won't block updating. I would encourage updating to 11.0.1 and Camera Raw 5.3 if you haven't done so yet.
Another question Pam, do you see the same behavior with the 32 bit and 64 bit targets? They both get installed by default on 64bit Win OS.

I upgraded to windows 7 yesterday using HP Windows upgrade kit.
Everything is working fine except for Digital Persona. It say reader not connected. I had downloaded it from HP site.

Bootcamp WIndows 7 x64 and Syncmaster 204b external monitor

Hi,
I didn't see a sub-forum for external monitors so I hope the Firmware forum is ok since this seems like a drivers/graphics card issue issue.
The issue I'm having is that Mac OS crashes randomly when I connect my external Samsung Syncmaster 204b monitor to my Macbook Pro when running Windows 7 x64 under Bootcamp. The external monitor turns yellow and the Macbook LCD turns gray and I'm forced to do a hard-reboot. Windows does detect the monitor and I can see it with it's correct name under Windows Display Properties.
Everything works fine when I run the monitor under Mac OS 10.6.4.
I'm running Windows 7 x64 on a mid-2010 Macbook Pro 13". I have all of the latest updates installed for Windows and am using Bootcamp 3.1.
Has anyone encountered a similar issue or have any ideas how this may be resolved?

Ok, I think this problem has been resolved, so I'll post the solution in case others with the Samsung Syncmaster 204B have the same problem. The answer was erasing the PRAM by holding Option-Command-P-R at boot up (http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1379).
This is what I think happened:
An update in Windows Update is available for the Syncmaster 204B, but wasn't visible when I first connected the Syncmaster. I wasn't able to see the update until I rebooted with the Syncmaster connected (after several crashes). After seeing the update in Windows Update under 'Optional Updates", called "Samsung - Display- 204T/204Ts/204B, Syncmaster Magic CX20Ts(digital)", I installed it, but bootcamp Windows continued to crash randomly after attaching the Syncmaster via both Mini Display Port-to-DVI and Mini Display Port-to-VGA. Sometimes it crashed after a few minutes, sometimes an hour, the same as before I installed the update.
I was convinced that it was a compatibility problem between Windows 7 x64, the Syncmaster 204B and the MacBook Pro 13" Mid-2010 hardware since this problem only happened when booting into bootcamp Windows 7 x64 (everything worked fine in Mac OS), but now that doesn't seem to be the case. I think the update fixed the problem, but after installing the update some of the of the original incompatible display settings remained resident in the Mac's PRAM. Erasing the PRAM cleared these settings and allowed the new updated settings to be loaded instead, fixing the crash issue.

Bootcamp windows 7 x64 Ethernet controller error...

I've installed the Windows 7 x64 drivers, yes I'm aware of how to get around the x64 error. However after installing My internet doesn't work.
Theres a few drivers with error code 28, saying they aren't installed next to them; ethernet controller, network controller. I've ran the repair utility, and it still doesn't install the files.
Any suggestions?

Servlet works in windows but does not work in solaris?

can someone tell me why the servlet work in windows platform but doesnt work in solaris?The servlet tries to ping 127.0.0.1 and the output is correct in windows, but when i try it in solaris, it produces the following exception :

ActiveMQ doesnt work remotely

I m able to run consumer/producer code on the same solaris box. But once I move my consumer over to a JWS over Windows, IT just doesnt work..
Any of you know why , because of swing, jWs, or OS incompatiliably ?

Crystal Reports 2008 in Windows Vista x64 + IIS7 DOESNT WORK!!!!!! HELP!

I´m developing an application with Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 and Crystal Reports 2008 Professional
(i´m not using the Crystal Reports 2008 for .Net basic)
As I have Windows Vista x64, my ASP.NET applications run under IIS7, but for my surprise, Crystal doesn´t work under Vista x64 + IIS7. I got the following error:
An error has occurred while attempting to load the Crystal Reports runtime. Either the Crystal Reports registry key permissions are insufficient, or the Crystal Reports runtime is not installed correctly. Please install the appropriate Crystal Reports redistributable (CRRedist*.msi) containing the correct version of the Crystal Reports runtime (x86, x64, or Itanium) required. Please go to http://www.businessobjects.com/support for more information.
When I run the same routine in an Windows Application the error doesnt occur. It only happens under Web Applications.
I tested in a Windows Vista 32 bit and there´s no error....
Crystal Reports 2008 does not work in II7 x64 ?
Is there any solution?

AMD R5 M230 on G510 windows 7

Hi,
I just bought brand new Lenovo G510 and I installed Windows 7 Professional 64 bit. I have problems with installing the driver for the video card. The seller company specification show that it is AMD Radeon R5 M230. I have downloaded the AMD driver from the Lenovo support site, but when i install it in device manager i see two devices:
-AMD Radeon R5 M230 Series - indicating that it has a problem - little yellow triangle with exclamation mark - Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)
- Standard VGA Graphics Adapter - indicating it is working fine
I have tried installing intel drivers first as i saw i a different thread in the forum, but i do not have integrated Intel card.
I have trid finding the correct driver using the hardware ID, but i am unale to do so. Here they are:

The hardware ID that you posted is the definitely the Jet PRO [Radeon R5 M230]
The standard VGA Graphics adapter that you have is most likely for the Intel Graphics Adapter (switchable graphics).
Can you consider the following:
1. Install the Intel Display Driver (reboot if necessary)
2. Run this AMD Dislpay Driver (it shoiuld extract drivers to C:\Drivers\VGA - overwrite if prompted and reboot if necessary)
3. Navigate to C:\Drivers\VGA and check if you have a folder called 13.200.0.0 and run the Setup.exe application installer inside and observe.
If you get the same error on the Device Manager, try this AMD R5 M230 driver directly from AMD website and observe.

ITunes 9.0.2.25 doesnt work on Windows 7 64-Bit!!! Have looked everywhere!!

I first started to install iTunes 64-bit and the installation seemed to work well, but when i plugged in my iPod Touch this message showed up:
"This iPod cannot be used because the required software is not installed. Run the iTunes installer to remove iTunes, then install the 64-bit version of iTunes."
Well of cource ive tried to uninstall and re-install without any luck. I also uninstalled everything that had something to do with apple (quicktime etc.) and went into registry editor and removed apples entries there under SOFTWARE, without luck.
Then I extracted the iTunes installer, and got all of the .msi files.
I cannot install "Apple Mobile Device Support 64", it seemes that it gets installed but it doesnt. No files are copied to the common folder, and I've checked both (Program Files and Program Files (x86))
I cannot install MobileMe because it tells med that "Apple Mobile Device Support 64" is not installed. I have also tried to extract the msi files wiht Universal Extractor and coppied all of the files.
I have also tried to install the driver manually but it tells me its not an x64-driver when I KNOW it is (the files are. usbaapl64.sys, usbaapl64.inf, usbaapl64.cat and usbaaplrc.dll) I manage to finally get "Apple Mobile Device USB Driver" installed but get the error that "This device cannot start (Code 10)"
I tried to select the iPod USB Driver but it still says "Apple Mobile Device USB Driver" even when i open the driver and under the tab (Details) it says: Apple iPod USB Driver" but it cannot start.
Please help!! I need to fix this. Im loosing my mind now.

Listen up, I have no found and article on how to fix this problom. This seems to be a common problem with iTunes on Windows 7 64-bit, so this is a fix you can use until Apple fixes this problem.
Since this article is from November 10th 2008, which is a very long time ago, it seems like Apple is ignoring this huge problem, but there is always away around but it might be a little complicated.
First uninstall everything that has anything to do with Apple (iTunes, Quicktime, Bonjour, Apple Update Software, Apple Mobile Device Support (if installed) etc etc. Then delete all Apple folders in Program Files (x86), also check the
Program Files folder too.
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple
also check the : C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple just in case.
Now check for anything that has to do with apple (like "Apple Software Updater", "iTunes", "Bonjour", "QuickTime" etc in both of the Program Files directories and delete them.
Now delete:
C:\Users\[your username]\AppData\Local\Apple
C:\Users\[your username]\AppData\Local\Apple Computer
C:\Users\[your username]\AppData\LocalLow\Apple Computer
C:\Users\[your username]\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer
Then open the start-menu, write "Run" (without the quotes) and click enter. Write inn "regedit" (without quoutes)
Goto: HKEYLOCALMACHINE\SOFTWARE and delete "Apple Computer, Inc." and anything related to Apple, then go into HKEYCURRENTUSER\SOFTWARE and delete "Apple Computer, Inc." and anything realted to Apple.
Then Restart your computer.
Now follow this guide:

But make sure of 2 things:
1. You have to edit one of the .reg files in the iTouchReg.zip that you are gonna download from the guide.
2. You dont need to install itunes on a working Vista 64-bit computer, you can do an easier way.
First lets take the easier way to get the Apple Mobile Device Support files.
As the guide sais, you have to download the latest version of 64-bit iTunes.
When you have downloaded it, download and install WinRar (if you dont have it, www.rarlabs.org)
Extract the .msi files from the iTunes installation to a seperate folder.
Now you need to download and install Universal Extractor.
HERE: http://legroom.net/software/uniextract
Extract the files from the file: "AppleMobileDeviceSupport64.msi" to a seperate folder. There you will have the "Common Files" folder and you will find the folder "Apple" inside it that you need to copy to "C:\Program Files (x86)\Common
Files", and inside that folder is also the drivers that is explained in the guide. So then you dont need another computer, and you will get the latest version of the files.
No the second thing you need to do, since the guide is pretty old, and iTunes has updated their iTunes alot of times (but still haven't fixed this problem), then you have to change the version in the AMDS.reg file.
In the zip. file called iTouchReg.zip that you will download from the guide has 2 files.
You will get 2 files:
AMDS.reg
and Service.reg
open up AMDS.reg in notepad and edit the versions of 2 files.
It will look like this:

(You have to change it to the latest version that comes with iTunes, just right-click on the "AppleMobileDeviceSupport64.msi" that you extracted from the iTunes installation with winrar, and click properties. Check the Details tab and
under Description, you will se "Comment" there and the latest version will be there. Edit the .reg file to that version, in my case it was 2.6.0.32.)
Now you need to check the Bonjour application, the FileVersion is the versio of the "Bonjour64.msi" that you extracted from the iTunes installation file with Winrar (using the same method as with the "AppleMobileDeviceSupport64.msi"),
the "Version" is the version of the exe file of the Bonjour exe is located, normally in "C:\Program Files (x86)\Bonjour\" in the details tab. Once you have changed the .reg file, save it and follow the guide that I linked to:

Windows 7 x64 on G6230 driver help(camdriver)

we just installed x64 windows seven on our lenovo g230 but we're having problems installing the camera drivers and energy management...we used the vista cd driver that came along with the unit(all the drivers work well except those two)
need help in here T_T..i also downloaded vista drivers on Lenovo but still doesnt work..hope someone help me in this..

we have the same problem but worsst... graphics drivers not complete, printer driver and bluetooth having problems.............. pleassssssssssssse neeeeeeeeeddddddddddddd help

Macbook Pro 15" (early 2011) unable to run Windows 7 x64

Dear Apple Support Community,
I encountered a problem trying to install windows 7 x64 on my MBP.
All the installation steps went well, until the point when I ran Boot Camp 5 (the suggested version for my computer) to install drivers. After the installation of these drivers, I restarted the system. After that, windows 7 booted up nicely and normally, until I selected the user and came to desktop. Then, the screen just suddenly went extremely dark (the machine was still running normally).
I suspect it might has something to do with the graphics driver and reinstalled it several times using different versions of Boot Camp. When I tried to install the Intel HD graphics 3000 driver, it said "your computer does not meet the requirement to install..", which confused me even further 8-}
How could I solve this problem?

Your MacBook has got two GPUs, and Windows is only using the dedicated GPU, which is the AMD Radeon HD 6490M or AMD Radeon HD 6750M. You have to install the graphic card drivers from the AMD site > http://support.amd.com/us/Pages/AMDSupportHub.aspx
Did you try to set the brightness with the F2 key?

ITunes with Aiport Express on Windows 7 x64

Since I installed Windows 7 x64 RTM, I have had stuttering problems when connecting to an Airport Express to play music. When I only play the audio on my computer, it plays fine. When I connect to an Airport express (either by itself or with multiple connections) is when the problem occurs.
I have tried different network card drivers as well as another network card, and the problem persists. I did not have any issues with Vista SP2 x64.
System Configuration:
Windows 7 Home Premium RTM
Gigabyte AMD780G motherboard
AMD Phenom 9550 (quad core) CPU
8GB RAM
750GB HD (mirrored RAID)
AMD 4850 graphics card (1680x1050)
Onboard gigabit LAN / Linksys PCI gigabit ethernet card
iTunes 8.2.1.6
Airport Express firmware 6.3
All wired Gigabit connections (except the 100mbps wired Airport)
Any ideas?

So I uninstalled all iTunes related software (iTunes, Apple update, Bonjour, etc.), deleted all registry entries for anything Apple related, rebooted, and reinstalled. Same thing happens.
I changed the wireless channel on the airports (even though they are wired and setup as routers, with nothing connecting to either) the problem still persists.
As I mentioned previously, I had no problems with Vista x64. My other machine still has Vista 64 and has no issues. The problem is with the Windows 7 x64 (RTM) machine (which again, worked flawlessly with Vista x64 installed).
So, this is an iTunes not liking Win7 problem.
