[AMD] Something aint right. Can't even begin an overclock !!!!
Read the Overclocking Guide very carefully (Some1ne's here on this board)
Started to test with the most conservative setting of HTT 4X and 210 FSB, with memclock of only 100mhz as suggested , on my AMD 3000 Venice core. No other mods to stock settings.
Nothing right? Freaking thing hung on first boot. had to clear cmos!
According to the 4 light diagnostic , it's hanging at Processor Initialization.
How is it possible that it would hang on settings like these?
Using 2 sticks of Corsair Dual Channel CMX512-3200C2
MSI Neo4 Platinum
Try the 133 or 166 divider.
Usually when you have to do a cmos reset when attempting overclock it's because of a memory setting, cpu overspeed will usually come up in bios safe mode.(at least in my experience)
I would try 166 divider and 3-3-3-8 (spd for those modules) and mess around with 1T or 2T.(although that ram should do 1T)Don't use Tras lower than 7.
Also you do want to check all other settings to make sure a default setting isn't messing you up i.e.
spread spectrum
dynamic overclocking
agressive settings
cool&quiet
yada yada yada
turn off anything your not using in bios. If you have usb printer turn off the parallel port. turn off sata ports your not using etc etc
disable power management
basically anything that isn't neccessary to make the system run
Then give it a shot and see how you do. 5 Mhz at a time then run something quick like 3dmark01, save prime95 and the other stuff for when you think your close to max. Some boards just don't like big jumps.

Working with Elements 12, in Expert mode, with the first layer, I did something to lock up the whole Expert mode. I can't get rid of the eyedropper tool, or cancel the layer I started. I have read of solutions, but none seem to work. Am new to Windows 8, many solutions don't seem doable in W8.1(and are difficult for someone not very computer savvy). Any ideas appreciated!!

I Was on Instagram and I clicked a link that lead me to safari and when I got there a box kept coming up and saying a b c d e f g.... And so on. It won't let me delete the tab and I can't even use safari, can someone please help!!!!!??????
Quit Safari completely, clear Safari and reboot the iPad.
Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Double tap the home button and the recents tray will appear with all of your recent apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner of the Safari app icon. Tap the home button or anywhere above the task bar.
Go to Settings>Safari>Clear History, Cookies and Data.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up -
I went into system preferences to sync icloud to my iphone, and i guess i left it up and now everytime i click system preferences the icloud part comes up. That part has a white screen over it with a little padlock in the upper right hand corner, and because of this i can't even restart my computer. Can somone please help me, thank you!

I'm having the same problem as well, but on the battery drain however, you can drain it faster by using voice control. If you have music on your device, you can use the voice control to play the music. Still takes a lot of time, but at least it goes faster. By the way, I tried running down the battery for over 10 times now, but it still does nothing. If this is in your case as well, it could be a loose lcd cable and you need to get it repaired or try yourself. There should be some good tutorials on the web.

HELP! Downloaded LR5 and when open it shows an error message saying error while trying to change from modules and I can not even import photos. Am I doing something wrong?
I have the same problem, and the solutions in Error changing modules | Lightroom do not work. Even uninstalling and reinstalling a new copy did not solve the problem. As anyone got an idea what other lingering files might be causing the problem?

My screen when I am using Safari suddenly fills my entire screen, and there is no right hand corner button to push to manually shrink it. What to do? I can never even exit the program without quitting it.This has happened only within the last two days.
Try changing the screen resolution.
Go to Apple Menu / System Preferences / Displays.
Change the resolution. Whatever numbers are shown, e.g. 1280 x 960, select a larger one. The larger the number, in the resolution the smaller the display on the screen. You can keep changing this till you find the resolution that suits you. -

Don't worry, just follow these steps to fix iPhone stuck on Apple logo
=> First of all Start your Computer and then connect with Internet connection, now Download the latest version of the iTunes application
=> Now install the iTunes application in your System and connect your Device with computer via Data cable
=> Now connect your Device with iTunes application and then Tab on summary option, see in the left side bar of iTunes
=> Now Select restore option from iTunes and then confirm the Restore Message for better results. After this unplug your Device and Restart it

I am so frustrated about Adobe Flash player. I can not play any Facebook games, open certain files and pictures and documents that I need to access because not only does this phone not do it but my old Palm Pre couldn't do it either. I have had so many times where I needed to access things either online or via email, or message that I can not even look at because of this. I have to wait until I for home or ask someone else to do it for me which is embarrassing. I rave about my iPhone 4S all the time because it is truly great except for this. When it use to happen with my Pal Pre I figures once I got my iPhone that it wouldn't happen anymore but I guess I was completely wrong. I have had this problem for years and always get a message saying that it's being worked on. Well a couple of years is a long time to work on it. I understand about contracts and stuff but why is it taking a company such as Apple to be able to get it for their products? I get a lot and always want to play the games on Facebook but I can't do it on most of them at least the ones I have tried. So I can not play against anyone at that time I have to wait until I get home or use someone else's computer or something. Please tell me that in the extremely near future that this will not be a problem anymore. PLEASE!! I am sure I am not the only one out there who is having issues and if you do get it available please let there be an upload/upgrade for current phones and not just for future versions of Apple phones. That just wouldnt be very fair to all of your loyal customers and tell everyone to get your products because they are great and end up leaving this little problem out until they by your phone. Especially if they just got the phone they have. You guys are awesome with technology I have faith that you can make this available to all Apple products old and new by uploads or upgrades. Thank you hopefully can give me some info about the status with this or if there wen is one. I would have thought that being a company such as you are that it would already be taking care of right from the beginning and not wait years to take care of somewhat that is very important ro have especially when there is so much our there using Adobe Flash now. IPhoto stalls when I try to open a slideshow..can't even force quit
I began creating a slideshow in iphoto yesterday and during editing of a video clip within the slideshow, iphoto completely froze up & I let the color wheel spin for literally hours. I did a force quit and now every time I open iphoto and click on my slideshow title to open it, iphoto goes into stall mode...can't do anything...can't even use the menu to force-quit. Have to right click iphoto icon at bottom and force quit that way. What can I do to either delete the slideshow and start over, or open it to begin with?? I can't even seem to delete it. When I search for the slideshow by name, in finder, etc. it's non existent. I had just begun so I'm not bummed if I lost it or it wasn't saved to begin with, but it's just annoying to have iphoto stall on me over and over. Thanks for any ideas! I'm a new mac user so it's all greek to me!

I can't buy or download anything. It keeps whining that the data is wrong, both on iPhone and iPad. It's the right info but it keeps whining about "payment method declined" or something? I dunno, some say it fixes itself after a few days. But it's been like this for a few weeks now. :/

*MAJOR* System Failure after Javascript Upd. Can't even Reinstall OS. Help!
I updated my javascript to my white iMac 2.16 Intel Duo (24"), and suddenly I could no longer log into the account (an admin account) that I was signed into when I upgraded. I could signed into the others (1 admin, 1 non-admin). For the 1 account, I would sign in, it would go blue, and then cycle back to the sign-in screen. It was very similar to the Apple post regarding this, except Apple said this was ONLY for the aluminum iMacs. This one is a white 2006 2.16 Intel Duo model.
So, I then I tried to repair permissions. That just about failed (got "stuck") at "47 minutes to go".
So, I started up the iMac off of TechTool5 CD. Repaired permissions that way (a LOT were wrong). I ran the suite of tests, and it said my Directories were seriously messed up. Trying to repair the directories would have caused a loss of 75% of my files, so I canceled it.
A few weeks ago, I bought a new iMac, gave this now-dead one to my wife, had wiped it clean, installed OS 10.5.8 and did an account transfer. I still have her oldr machine to transfer the accounts again, BUT I CAN'T EVEN ERASE THE HARD DRIVE TO CONTINUE! (Read on)
I tried booting into Safe Mode. Didn't work. It cycled from gray/Apple logo screen to blue to black to gray/apple screen ad nauseam until it just shut down. Now I can't even get it to boot up (remember, some accounts used to still work ... now it won't even boot) passed this cycle of gray/Apple logo screen and black until it shuts down. I wanted to just erase and start again, but I cannot. The iMac WILL boot from a TechTool 5 CD, but will NOT boot from An Apple OS Install CD or even an Apple Care CD
I tried to access the iMac's drive via Target Disk mode and my PowerBook 17" (10.4), but while the iMac went into target disk mode, the laptop would not see it.
I went back to the TechTools CD start-up, and decided to repair the Directory ANYWAY, just to get in and then erase the HD. NOW, I cannot even do that. Repair the Directories is grayed out in the TechTool's window!! (It just keeps getting worse!)
I am at a complete loss on what to do now. I have used Macs since 1990 and have never had something like this.
Any suggestions? Even just to wipe the hard drive clean and resinstall ??OK, I was FINALLY able to get into iMac using the OS DVD that came with the computer. Unfortunately, the darned DVD says that 10.5 cannot be installed on the iMac because 10.4 is not already installed. What?? This is the only DVD that came with it! The iMac came with 10.4 installed, and a 10.5 disk in the box. It did not come with 10.4. What the ****, Apple? How am I supposed to install 10.4 if you never gave it to me?
So, I used Disk Utilities to erase the HD. I put it in Target disk mode, and tried to use older OS discs to install using my laptop or other iMac via Firewire. But the other computers now do not even SEE the iMac as a external disk. It doesn't even show up on the list. OR, in case of the laptop, it showed up, but the installation hangs right at "checking destination" (or something like that). The progress bar does not even move... for over an hour. -
I have a mid 2010 iMac and have already had the driver problem as in http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3173 when trying to install windows 7. Now, the authentication period has expired because everytime I try to upgrade it and authenticate it, it gives me the error 0x80070005 before it even begins to save temporary files. What can I do to ensure a proper install? I've purchased the student copy of windows 7 professional and I can't even get it to work correctly.
Well, the link you gave is for the "black screen" problem, you don't seem to have that issue?
You should put the Year/Model # of your computer and what OS your using, (10.6/10.7/XP/Vista/W7) in your description as it will help.
The "error 0x80070005" is actually a Windows only error so you might try Microsofts support site also.
If you are upgrading from Vista you may need to use the Apple_Win7_Upgrade_Utility first.
If you are upgrading from XP to W7 then maybe this link will help.
As @The hatter mentioned you might try a Yahoo/Google/Bing search for the error you get, it seemed to help the person he was helping.
Look to the right of your post and you should see a "More Like This" window with other posts similar to yours. You should do a erase/clean install of W7 anyway as you don't actually upgrade XP, it just puts all your files in a single folder for you to re-use not to mention you'll have a Clean OS to start with.
You CAN do a clean install with the upgrade version also, just reinstall it twice. Basically (the easy/long way) you just (backup) erase/install W7 the first time, don't tell it to update any files yet, then just reinstall over it and let it update/Authenticate and it should work.
