Sure it fixed some problems in iTunes, but now my finder is having problems starting at login.
I logged in, ran the update and rebooted, nothing else changed during that session. The machine was just fine before that reboot. Now when I log in it takes 60-90 seconds for finder to launch.....
Anyone at Apple ever heard of testing? Ever heard of the words "unit", "string" and "user"? You fix a problem, you test that the fix corrected that problem, then you test the application affected to make sure you did not break something else, then you test the OS to make sure your fix did not break something outside of the application.....
Apple quality has really gone south lately, I guess they are beginning to fall into the MS trap of allowing marketing to drive development timelines.

No updates are currently available.

When is Apple fixing this problem? For years now it's always the same: iTunes on my Mac will detect that one or more updates are available for some apps. It shows the count in the Apps line of the sidebar. It shows "1 Update Available" on the button when you switch to the Apps list in your library. But if you press the button it will tell you "No updates are currently available. To check for updates for another Apple ID, sign in with that Apple ID."
All the apps are bought with the same Apple ID in the same country. My iPhone or iPad will correctly detect the update available and will download the app. If I sync the iPhone later to my iTunes library on my mac the "1 Update Available" count will disappear. So it doesn't seem to be impossible to correctly identify which apps have updates available.
By now I know that it is caused by certain apps in my library. These are also shown differently in the iTunes Store when I check for these apps. Usually, an app downloaded to the library will show a greyed out "Downloaded" button (or the "Update" button if an update is available) instead of the usually button to buy/download the app.
However, those apps which show a update available count but then can't be identified by iTunes show the "Free" button or the price to buy the app instead of the "Downloaded" or "Update" button. So it seems at that point iTunes does not recognize the app in my library to be the same app. If I click on the buy button for that app it will all of a sudden say "This update is free" and after I press the "OK" button it will download the app the the available update count will disappear.
By now, I have a list of apps I know to cause this issue and in almost all cases I just check that list in the iTunes store to find the app for which the update is available.
Here are some of that list:
Google Search
Fring
NeoReader
Google Earth
NYTimes (for iPhone)
iRail
Remote Desktop Lite
iThoughts (iPhone version, not the iPad version)
SplashID
Network Ping Lite
What is so special about these apps that they cause this problem? And what does it take for Apple to fix this once and for all? It's really getting annoying after a while.

Yes. Because its all too complicated for a company with 1 gazzilion dollars in the bank to fix. You cannot change country if you own an iphone mister. Will tell you where to live as we tell you how to use your device. We own you now!
You can still update through the phone directly.

Just went to the product support site. Guess what? The latest MediaSource plugins for the various Creative MP3 Players are now available for download. I am sure the latest plugins should have fixed several problems.
Don't forget to download the latest Creative MediaSource v3.30.2 too. Install the latest Creative MediaSource first before you install the MediaSource Plugins of your respecti've MP3 Players.
Note: According to the download site, the latest MediaSource plugins require you to have at least v3.20.57 of Creative MediaSource.

Been having the same problems all week. And am got a generic, not-at-all-helpful response from my initial inquiry with support, then absolutely no response to my follow-up requests. There seem to be a fair number of people posting this problem, so not sure why we're being ignored.
Was able to eventually download the episodes manually via the 'purchased' link, but it's about 10 more steps than normal.
Also noticed that itunes isn't recognizing my purchases at all, not just season passes. If I go to a page of a show where I buy episodes individually, it doesn't show which episodes I have previously bought like it used to.

6. Now in the AddOns Page Search for Business Catalyst & PhoneGap Build.
7. Click to install the Extension from the AddOns page.

Maybe 4 or 5 years ago; but now the need to develop mobile ready sites or apps using HTML5, JavaScript and CSS has increased. PhoneGap is presently used more than before to the point that Adobe has recognize its popularity in many ways. Making it part of Dreamweaver is not in my opinion excess luggage. Developers have always the option to pick and choose what to use from Dreamweaver. Maybe a specific developer doesn't need the PHP features in Dreamweaver; that doesn't mean that feature has to be removed.
Most of the things we do with Dreamweaver can be done without it. Dreamweaver is there to help us save time and be more productive. This is why I feel that helpful features shouldn't be removed; instead they should be improved and solutions implemented to issues that sometime seem impossible to address.

Reset your iPad by holding the home and on/off buttons together for 6 or 7 seconds till the Apple logo appears. Then update your apps one at a time. Do not start the next app until the current one downloads and finishes installing.

When you turn on photo stream on a device that is the source of photos, only the photos you take in the future will sync to the stream, not the photos currently in the camera roll.
When you turn on photo stream on a device or computer that will receive photos from other devices, only the photos that have been on the servers for the past 30 days will sync, all older photos have been deleted from the servers.
To sync camera roll photos that weren't part of photo stream, you need to sync them manually using itunes.

People complained when Adobe added the arrows to the mouse cursors.
Now people complain when the cursor is returned to a Text insertion bar, without the arrow.
Clearly not every customer agrees on how cursors should work, nor apparently everyone in Adobe either.
I have this really great idea... Maybe Adobe could make mouse cursors with arrows an option you can select. I for one would choose the cursors with arrows, as Niall above would also, I suspect.

New Change – location updates are now on me

I’ve had a Verizon broadband card for well over a year, but just recently Verizon changed its policy on downloading location updates. Apparently now the data downloaded to make location updates is charged against my monthly data allowance. Location updates are now only possible after one is connected and their data meter per se is running. Did someone think folks wouldn’t notice? Why should I now have to pay for continual location updates so that maintenance software can be distributed? I’m paying for that volume of data for personal usage. This abrupt policy shift doesn’t speak well for company integrity.

This is not a change, at least for the MiFi. In the 20 months I've been using it I've always had to pay for location updates.

Otherwise the IDE will start, and as long as it runs, you won't be able to interact with the terminal where you launched the application [unless you do something like hit "ctrl-z", which will suspend the IDE, and then type "bg" to background it].

While tablets are now able to be purchased with the Edge, the Device Payment Plan has been discontinued. So, if you want to pay over 12 months, to keep unlimited data, you are out of luck. Either full price, or lose it and use Edge.
Just another way for Verizon to get rid of unlimited.

I would check again. The problem is when you went to a corporate store and that is the only way to get it. The stores were telling customers that Verizon's device payment plan was only for tablets.
That is the first lie on their parts. The second thing the store would tell customers that if you used the plan you would still lose unlimited data, lie two.
You could not grandfather in a plan such as the device payment plan. Grandfathered to whom? Those who already choose it and are on it? Those who got grandfathered in how? Maybe a wrong choice of word in your post.
Like Ann154 the plan is still showing on the Verizon wireless site.
I also called my former account executive at Verizon and he said he knew of no discontinuance of the program.
So unless you have advance information via working for Verizon wireless I would wait for the news release.
In your case I would go to a corporate store and insist on them honoring the Device Payment Plan. Maybe mention your attorney, or a state regulatory agency etc.
