AME and Requsition Approval

Hello,
We are using Approval Management Engine to generate approvers list for requisitions entered from iProcurement.
But, using the purchase requisition form, when I try to approve it, the req doesn't go anywhere and stays 'In process'.
Is there any way to apply AME approval rules when entering a purchase requisition from Purchasing Super User responsibility ?
Thanks for your help.
Regards,
Alex

Yes. AME can be used with regular Purchase Requisitions.
See http://www.oraclechamps.com/oracle-functional-documents/289-how-to-setup-ame-for-purchase-requisition.html for details.
Hope this helps

  • Final Approver setup in AME and NO TIMEOUT

    Hi Expert,
    Pls help on below.
We have setup approval group with HR People hierarchy type in AME for quote approval with A as the only (First) approver in the approval group. If the HR Supervisor hierarchy is A<B<C<D,
then we have to designate as C as Final Approver. So the approval group start the approver list from A will identify next approver based on the Supervisor hierarchy and should consider C as final approver. Approval from any approver, quote should be approved, SHOULD NOT EXPECT APPROVAL FROM ALL APPROVERS.
Also, how do we make notification should not TIMEOUT at the FINAL APPROVER and should remain for PENDING for Approval

  • Date difference between Requsition apporval and Po approval in Oracle apps

My requirement is that l need to get the number of date difference between requisition apporval date(requisition) and po approval date (purchase) excluding holidays how to do it ?
    Thanks in advance..

One PO could be generated from multiple requisitions. In that case, which requisition would you like to consider?
One requisition could be converted into multiple POs. In that case, which PO would you like to consider?
Assuming, there is a one-to-one relationship between your POs and requisitions:
Link a PO to the corresponding requisition by joining po_distributions_all.req_distribution_id with po_req_distributions_all.requisition_id
Once you have found the 2 records, get the approved_date from po_headers_all and po_requisition_headers_all
Then go to bom_calendar_dates for those dates and find the difference between seq_num. That is what you are looking for.

  • Workflow Approbation - Accessing and Editing Approve/Reject state

    Hello
I'm creating a custom workflow in order to manage mass approbations. I have used the Approval and Multi Approval workflows to make my own one.
This work great except on one point: I can't use the standard approbation/reject buttons of the end user approvals list as i wish. I didn't find out in the workItem of type Approval where is set the accept or reject value.
I have seen in documentation that there are action and confirm attributes in WorkItem List View attribute but i don't see how to use it as i already have a view in use. I am using a custom workflow variable which hold the value of the result. This work except that i have to customize too the End User Approvals List to change this variable.
I guess there is somewhere an easy way to know about the state of an Approval WorkItem but dunno how to access it easily.
If you have got any idea, please tell me!
    Grtz,
    Adrien

    Thanks for your answer.
I agree with you but the problem is that the variable i'm looking for isn't in the WorkItem View (or i just didn't find it out).
I am looking for the location of the variable which indicate to the requestor the result of his approbation request (accepted or rejected) in order to make a custom report form. This way my requestor who make approbation for severals different users at the same time will have a report telling him which request was accepted or rejected.
    Hope this make much sense.

  • "This form cannot be opened in a web browser. to open this form use microsoft infopath" while adding a new Approval - Sharepoint 2010 and Publishing Approval workflow.

I am trying to add a new workflow to a document library with the below mentioned settings and getting error saying "This form cannot be opened in a web browser. to open this form use microsoft infopath" while adding a new Approval - Sharepoint

This is quiet urgent issue . Any help would be really helpful.. Thanks..

    Hi Marlene,
Thank you very much for your suggestions.
But I am not creating a custom workflow in designer as Laura has mentioned. I am instead trying to create a new Out of the box Approval Workflow and I get the error mentioned above.
As it works in other environment, I tried figuring out the possible differences which can lead to this error.
Today I found one difference which is there are no form Templates within Infopath Configurations in Central Admin. Now I am trying to figure out what makes this form templates to be added to the template gallery.

  • OOTB Approval workflow and content approval

I have successfully utilized the OOTB Approval workflow to manage the content approval status for document libraries.
But when I attempt the same on a list (custom, links, announcements...etc)..... the approval goes through without a problem but the content approval status remains in "Pending" status.
Does the approval workflow NOT work for lists? (And only document libraries?)
I found this article that describes that the solution is to uncheck the "start this workflow when an item is changed":
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2908491
...which is somewhat ridiculous and pretty much forces the user to have to initiate the workflow manually each time they change the item?
At any rate... I did what the article suggested and manually initiated the WF and the approval status still remains in pending mode.
Can someone help clarify this for me?
    Thanks in advance

Please make sure that Publishing Approval Workflow feature is enabled in Site Collection Features. Otherwise their should be no issue.

  • How to identify first and last approver?

Using SharePoint Designer 2010 I have a simple Approval process workflow. I will have 5 approvers but I need to populate a fields in a list that are "Initial Approver" and "Final Approver".
How do I grab the name of these approvers to display in the fields?

    Hi,
I could figure out how to get last approver for Approval Process workflow:
    1. Open this link and navigate to section "Change
a completion condition for the task process"
    2. Change the value in Percentage
    of Approved to 100%
    3. Grab the name of approver in this condition.
Let me know if this works.

  • Unreleased PO/SA and their Approval Level

The client need a report on the unreleased PO/SA and their approval level (lowest level only).
In the Structure RM06B, We have two fileds
    ANZEF : Final Release
    ANZFR : Release to date
The difference between the two fields will give me the unreleased PO/SA.
    My question is
    1) Does data comes from Structure-Field combination, if not
    2) What is the equivalent Table-Field combination and how do I see it.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Bhavesh

    Hi,
Look at the release status of the PO.
Screenfield MEPO_REL_GENERAL-FRGKX (you may find in ME23n for a po that has release strategy and not released yet, in its header -->Release Strategy tab)
Release indicator can tell the status of PO whether released or not
    It is however, configured:
    T16FE-FRGKE
This table will show you for the picked up release strategy in the PO, how many levels are there and at what level what status it will have...
    Hope it helps!

  • PPro, AME, and CUDA: What's Actually Happening Here?

I bit the bullet and picked up a new Quadro 4K for my Mac Pro.  The videos I'll be making with Premiere Pro will include a scaled-down multi-cam PiP, which the CUDA processors can clearly help with.  However, I'm a bit puzzled by something: what's actually going on here behind the scenes, so-to-speak?  I'm coming at this question from a software/computer geek perspective, not from a video editing one.  I'm sincerely interested in what's going on between PPro, AME, and the nVidia card.
First off, I asked this question back in July.  At the end of the thread, Todd says that if I queue up the export with AME, then the rendering would be done by the CPU.  Fair enough, but something else is going on with AME and the nVidia card.  If I enable the GPU in PPro and then export it through AME, the AME log looks like this:
    - Source File: /Volumes/Users/jvp/Library/Caches/TemporaryItems/Multi-Cam Test.prproj
    - Output File: /Volumes/Users/jvp/Desktop/multi-cam_1.mp4
    - Preset Used: Custom
    - Video: NTSC, 1920x1080, 29.97 fps, De-interlaced
    - Audio: AAC, 160 kbps, 48 kHz, Stereo
    - Bitrate: VBR, 1 Pass, Target 6.00, Max 10.00 Mbps
    - The source was deinterlaced
    - Encoding Time: 00:20:09
If, however, I disable the GPU in PPro and export the same sequence through AME, the log reads:
    - Output File: /Volumes/Users/jvp/Desktop/multi-cam-no-cuda.mp4
    - Preset Used: Custom
    - Video: NTSC, 1920x1080, 29.97 fps, De-interlaced
    - Audio: AAC, 160 kbps, 48 kHz, Stereo
    - Bitrate: VBR, 1 Pass, Target 6.00, Max 10.00 Mbps
    - The source was deinterlaced
    - Encoding Time: 01:18:32
A noteworthy difference in time.  Further, during the first export in AME, the GPU is definitely being used at about 33% or so.  So clearly it's doing something.  What I'm curious to know is: what?  Is it actually doing the rendering of the PiP while AME is exporting the video?  Or... ?

Apart from other effects, the PIP means scaling and scaling is GPU assisted. That could well be a serious determinant for the differences in encoding times.
Right Harm, I'm certain that the PiP scaling is what's causing the immense difference in exporting (encoding) times.  But what I'm curious to know is: why is it mattering when I punt to AME?  To me, it implies that either:
PPro is continuing to do some of the work during the export, in the background, even though AME is open and working, or
AME is actually making use of the video card.
That's why I'm curious about this and wondering what's going on from a technical perspective.

Crashing during Exporting - I tried to export my sequence containing several clips both in Premier and AME and it keeps crashing - Help Pls.

    Thanks for your reply John.
My Premiere Pro is CS5.5 on Windows OS with all the recent updates installed.
My source footage is H.264 in a .mov/QuickTime format.
There were no error message(s) before the crashing. The computer just crashes after a few minutes of exporting. My output codec is also H.264 in a QuickTime movie format.
No other software is running at the time. Also, no third party codecs have been installed.
I'm not sure what type of engine I use. Kindly direct me to where I can find this information.
The problem has only happened with my final output.
    Thanks Again.

It is in the approval center, you'll find the "manage rules" button.

  • Multiple approvers and one approver execute the workitem without complete

    Hi all,
In case of multiple approvers, if approver-A executed the workitem but cancel it without complete.  The workitem will stay only in approver-A SAP inbox and disappear from other approvers' inboxes.  Is this a standard way?
For whatever reason, if approver-A cannot execute the workitem.  What can be done by workflow administrator to make the workitem appear again in other approver's inboxes?
    Thanks and Regards,
    Donald

    Hi Donald,
Yes this is the standard behavior of workflow.
If you send the work item's to the multiple approver's and one approver open the work item it will disappear from all other's inbox.
if the approver A open's the work item, then it will disappear from other's inbox. You can use the fm SAP_WAPI_FORWARD_WORKITEM to forward the work item's to the other user.
    Thanks,
    Viji.
