AME CS6 won't load Premiere sequence

Hello,
I recently started having issues with Media Encoder.  I can export a sequence out of Premiere, one sequence at a time. However, when I click "Queue" to load the sequence into ME, then the message appears "Preparing data for export...", then Media Encoder opens, but there is nothing in the Queue. I have tried trashing the preferences in both Premiere and Media Encoder (ME-by holding Option when opening), and that hasn't fixed the problem.
Been running CS6 for about 2 years now and have never had this sort of problem, up until about 1 month ago.  So far it hasn't been a huge issue, other than when I need to export multiple sequences out.
My system runs Mac OS X Lion 10.7.5. Adobe Suite CS6
Any help on this would be much appreciated.
Thanks a lot.
Joe

Jim, Thanks for the quick reply.  The problem is indeed a missing codec, viz. intra100.  There is a related problem that Adobe apparently has not solved: A/c to a technician.    CS5 overwrites CS6 files and vice-versa (in creative cloud anyway).  So,  I am constantly having to re-activate CS6  because of using CS5 for things like markers.
The tech said they would be working on it (two or three months ago).  Have you heard anything on this issue?
I am wondering if there is any simple way just to copy this particular coded for the moment.
Thanks again.

  • WARNING: Premiere CS6 won't load past "Loading ExporterQuickTimeHost" after QT 7.7.3 update

Just what the subject line says, Premiere CS6 won't load up past the splash screen and "Loading ExporterQuickTimeHost" after I updated to QT 7.7.3 (Win7).  No other updates done, my CS6 is up to date.  I reverted back to 7.6 and problem went away.  Just an little word of warning to those who see the update pop up.
If you run into the problem, here's the link to download 7.6.  You will have to uninstall 7.7.3 then instal 7.6.

I ran into a similar issue on Premiere Elements 11:  On program launch, the system hung on "Quicktimehost.pm".  After some troubleshooting with no success, I:
    1) Uninstalled Quicktime version 7.7.5
    2) Installed Quickitme version 7.6
    3) rebooted my machine
    4) SUCCESS-> launched Premiere Elements 11 without issue
Hope this helps a few others!

  • Premier CS6 won't load up.

Had to restore my system (Lion) to a previous time (12 hours earlier).  Everything loaded up except Premier CS6 won't load past importerQuicktime.bundle.  Any suggestions?@

    Hi,
If you have restored it via TimeMachine, I would suggest doing a clean install.
    Thanks!

  • Indesign CS6 won't load on my right hand monitor

Indesign CS6 won't load on my right hand monitor

Joining the discussion... [running CS6 on Windows8; dual screen 23"; 1920 x 1080 (NVIDIA GeForce 9600GT card; DVI, HDMI)]
I have had the same problem. Each of the panels (pages, layers etc.) would not work with the mouse/pointer... if I clicked in a panel, I could tab/shift tab through each component in the panel, use the arrow keys to make changes, but the mouse/pointer was not active.
After extreme frustration... The following appears to solve the issue.
Solution: Open Indesign CS6, set up screen positions for the panels as required, save the workspace (Window/Workspace/New Workspace...).
Sorry... this appeared to worked... but I have dicovered that it only works for a short period then this problem seems to rear it ugly head again and all panels are intermitent in their responsiveness. Currently I have tried re-start... doesn't seem to change the problem, a shutdown and startup resets everything but the problem soon appears again. I'm searching for a solution... anyone?

  • Premiere cs6 won't load cs5 file

This project contained a sequence that could not be opened.  No sequence preview presetfile or codec could be associated with this sequence type.
The project was created in CS5.  I get this messge again, again, and again, even after CS6 DID work once.  CS6 is supposed to load CS5-created premiere project and  sometimes converts it, etc.  Then won't load the converted project!!!!!
    I am using creative cloud.
    What is going on?

  • Premiere pro cs6 won't load AVCHD video files

why won't premiere pro cs6 load video files?
Premiere pro application loads but won't load HD video files.

What codec packs do you have loaded?  With a straight installation I have had any problems loading my Sony AVCHD 1920 x 1080 files in any version of Premiere.  What is your source of your media?

  • AME CS6 painfully slow loading large quantities of clips.

I'm using AME CS6 to transcode clips to prepare clips for delivery to a client that will only accept OP1a MXF's.  I have hundreds of clips to transcode and AME CS6 is unbearably slow loading them.  Usually I set up a watch folder but in this case I have two batches to run, one with about 750 individual clips and one with about 450.  Using watch folders just completely brought AME to it's knees trying to transcode a file while updating the queue.  I've just spent two hours loading the clips into AME by dragging/dropping them into the queue (that time includes time spent waiting while AME hangs while trying to change the codec/output setting).
Earlier versions of AME were no where near as slow as this.  Even just scrolling up/down the queue that used to be fluid is now a click, wait, update..click, wait update process.  I could have copied the files from drive to drive in less time than this took to load/index.  Is there anything that can be done to speed up this process?

lasvideo, thanks but that's not the same problem I am having. Appreciate you chiming in though!
Stephen, thanks for writing. It's a pretty massive project and because clips often criss-cross between segments I have been working everything inside the same edit. I also wanted to see just how hard I could push Premiere (I've been using Premiere for 7 years now). Mind you once everything loads it still does just fine. Edits like a champ. Just was a bit frustrating with the load time.
On #1, I don't have time machine set-up anymore as I ate up all my space.
On #2 this is an interesting suggestion. I'm letting project manager analyze my project right now. I've never used project manager to break off individual edits so this should be interesting. Yes, just me on one machine. I'm shooting and editing at the same time and also doing graphics so I reckon by December. I have two full backups of all footage and edit files and save to a new edit file every couple of days (plus I have auto-save rolling).
And for whatever reason, today when I opened a different project and then went back to the large project, suddenly the problem dissappeared. Weird but there it is. All 20,000 clips now load again under 4 minutes.
    Thanks for the assistance.
    Best, Dare

  • Help CS6 won't load?????

Hi I'm trying to run CS6 on a Mac Book Pro all has worked fine until recently, now it won't load! I have tried reinstalling but get the following error messages DW063 and DW050 help.

    Things to try.
Create a small blank animation and move an object, then export that out to try importing the test file.
Reset the preferences by holding down the modifier keys while photoshop starts.
Reset the tools, found in the top toolbar at far left side.
    Uninstall then reinstall photoshop.

  • Premiere Pro CS6 won't load audio volume.

When I open my project I get this:
Then, none of the volume adjustments work on the timeline.
    Everything you need to know:
    Mac OSX Snow Leopard
    Premiere Pro CS6 (Production Premium)
Project imported from FCP7 XML, although I have removed all effects etc from that import.  All filters and adjustements have been made in premiere.
I've copied all the clips into a new timeline, restarted premiere, rebooted, don't know what else to do.
    Please help?

For the record I'm having this same problem.  Scary, since I made a bunch of audio edits and lost that work.
Definitely smells like a bug.  I'm using Xto7 to convert a sequence from FCP X to an XML file CS6 can read; I'm having to run both FCP X and Premiere simultaneously, since Xto7 didn't really do a good job.  The problem occured when I switched back and forth between the two, and tried to relink an offline file in my Premiere project (where I am reassembling the sequence).  Suddenly the sound would not play.  I quit and restarted, and got the error above.  Ugh.

  • AME WON'T LOAD PREMIERE CS4 FILES

Probably been answered somewhere ... but, I'm playing beat the clock (who isn't?) ... and gotta find a solution or work-around, and FAST.
PREMIERE CS4 WON'T EXPORT TO ADOBE MEDIA ENCODER.
It goes through the motions; but never actually loads the elements to render.  It just hangs after you tell it to "Start Queue."  "Loading (project name)" just sits there, and I eventually get a "non responsive program" notice.
    I'm running 4.0.2.002.
My usual work-around is to take the project into AE and render there ... but, this is a multi-camera project and they don't enport to AE.
    HELP!!!

    Welcome to the forums
gotta find a solution or work-around, and FAST
Then you need to call Adobe Tech Support and get it sorted out in real time.
    Otherwise try these troubleshooting tips.
    Cheers

  • Queueing to AME CS6 64-bit from Premiere

I have several sequences in Premiere Pro CS6 that I want to queue to Media Encoder so don't have to do it one-by-one. My problem is when I hit queue from Premiere it opens AME in 32-bit, I want it to open 64-bit because the export setting format is set to x264 PRO and for whatever reason the 32-bit version doesn't have those settings only the 64-bit version has it. Is there a way to change the default to open in 64-bit and not the 32-bit version of AME. I know I can still open the 64-bit version and have the sequences there but I have to change the format for the export again, I don't want to take too many steps if there's a solution to my problem.

I don't know, when I installed CS6 it was installed too.

  • AME CS6 won't open; Yosemite OS X related?

I have used this program before on my MAC, but now it will not open.  Getting a long error string, and have copied some of it below.  I had similar problems with other Adobe products after the latest software upgrade on MAC, but found an online patch that fixed it.  Can't find any fix for MAC (plenty for Windows).  Need MAC help, please.

Install or Reinstall OS X from Scratch
Be sure you backup your files to an external drive or second internal drive because the following procedure will remove everything from the hard drive.
    Boot to the Recovery HD:
Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
    Erase the hard drive:
      1. Select Disk Utility from the main menu and click on the Continue button.
      2. After DU loads select your startup volume (usually Macintosh HD) from the
left side list. Click on the Erase tab in the DU main window.
      3. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Optionally, click on
the Security button and set the Zero Data option to one-pass. Click on
the Erase button and wait until the process has completed.
      4. Quit DU and return to the main menu.
Reinstall OS X: Select Reinstall OS X and click on the Install button.
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible
because it is three times faster than wireless.

  • AME CS6 won't launch

I upgraded from CS5.5 to CS6 Creative and all programs work but AME. When trying to launch I get a spinning activity icon for a second and then nothing. No processes start and it does not launch. I have tried the following:
    Opening as Admin
    Using a different User profile
    Trashing all preferences
    Deleting Adobe User xml files
Launching from Premiere, launching independently with Premiere running and with Premiere closed
Copying the AME folder to a different drive. Renaming the old and putting the copied folder back into place (something that was suggested on a thread)
Uninstalling and re-installing (twice with a CS cleaner tool each time)
I am able to encode from Premiere but not to queue.
I am running Window 7 Premium on a 64bit on an Intel 2.7ghz i7 Quad Core with 9gig of RAM. Again no issues with other programs in suite.
Any help or thoughts are appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I see 21 people have viewed this but no responses. Anyone have any ideas?

  • AME CS6 won't even start

I have an issue where AME won't start on a win7 system, it doesn't even show the startup splashscreen.
It will show up very briefly in the task manager processes and then it just disappears. I have tried the usual remedy (which helped once before with AME 5.5), deleting the AME preferences folder inside the appdata folder, but that doesn't help at all, AME still doesn't start.
I think this has something to do with the 6.0.3 update, AME did work without a problem before I applied the update. Everything else works
    Any ideas?

It's possible you simply have a defective battery. Try going down to your local Apple Store and try one of their batteries in your MBP. If it works then simply replace it.
