AME Settings...Which do I use?
I have a HDV 1440x1080i 29.97fps timeline and I'm just not sure what options to take in the Encoder. Either H.254 Bu-ray or MPEG2 Blu-ray...? Then either 1440x1081i 29.97 High Quality or HDTV 1080i 29.97 High Quality...?How do I know which way to go? I have taken five shots at this this past week and my deadline is fast approaching...all attempts have failed, hoping you can give me a clue and that this one will cook properly. Thanks.

Just for the heck of it I exported a few seconds of HDV using the settings shown below. I then imported it into Encore and it was accepted without any additional transcoding required as shown in the second picture. When it says "Don't Transcode" in Encore it means it is already acceptable according to the Blu-Ray standard.

I recently updated to the iOS 8.1.2, but after rebooting, the iPad demands a passcode, which was never used on this iPad. I cannot bypass the passcode question. It is now an $800 paperweight. Apple support of course wants money for the obviously poor code in their update! Currently I am trying to reset it to factory settings, losing almost everything I had on it, since it was not properly backed up. However, it seems stuck on enter passcode, even after resetting it!
If anyone else has a solution to this, would love to hear from you. How does Apple get away with this stuff? (I dare them to be honest and post this!)

<Edited by Host>Hmm, I did receive an email saying that the thread was deleted, but did not explain why for some reason. It sounds like the Level 7 guy caused this. I will call Apple tomorrow to find out who is responsible. And see if I can lodge a complaint against that user. Maybe it was because of what the Level 7 guy was saying.
There was useful information posted in that threat that addressed the issue that I am experiencing. I will try to reiterate from the apple website, it says.
Recovery mode
If you've never synced your device with iTunes, or haven't set up Find My iPhone, you'll need to put your device in recovery mode. Then you'll restore your device as new or from a backup.
This will erase the device and its passcode.
Disconnect all cables from your device.
Hold down the Sleep/Wake button, then "slide to power off" to turn off your device.
Press and hold the Home button and plug the device into your computer. If your device doesn't turn on automatically, turn it on. Don't release the Home button.
Continue holding the Home button until you see the Connect to iTunes screen.
If iTunes doesn't open automatically, open it. iTunes will alert you that it has detected a device in recovery mode.
Click OK. Then restore the device.
If your device doesn't go into recovery mode, try steps 1–4 again.
They suggested that I try this over again until it works. It did not work for me the first time. -
How can I determine which codec to use?
I'm using PE7 on a PC. I have HD video shot with a Canon. Each video - there are six of them - is less than five minutes. After I finished editing, I uploaded them to youtube and emailed a link to my client, but my client complained that they were out of focus. I explained that it was the compression that youtube uses, and that I'd render them to disk for him to look at.
Trouble is, I can't figure out which codec to use. All I know is that I want clear, sharp video, suitable for posting on the net. These are scientific videos, showing some chemical processes involving gasoline with ethanol and water.
Can someone point me in the right direction?
TIAI guess I need to explain better. The HD videos I'm editing will not end up on youtube, but will be posted on a government agency's website. I originally posted them on youtube just so the client could take a look without me having to attempt to email large video files or burn to disk, since the client is in a different location from me.
The area of video editing and production that I'm the least knowledgeable - and therefore the most insecure - is when I attempt to render and save a video. Every video project I go through the same frustration of having a project that I'm happy with, but having a final product that either 1) does not look at all sharp or 2) results in a file size which is too large. In this case, since the final video files will be posted online, they need to be small enough for viewing over the net while maintaining enough sharpeness and quality that the video does not look out of focus.
If you take a look at this video, for example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t_X0IKPJrng you can see why my client thought it was out of focus. However, I know that the original footage is very sharp.This link is only temporary, as I've already been told that the agency I work for will not allow them to be posted on youtube.
So, my question is, when I'm rendering and saving a video project from PE7, how do I know what settings to use for the highest quality, yet smallest file size? The manual does not go into much detail about the pros and cons of various codecs, nor does it say much about what settings do what. It's like Adobe expects me to already know this information.
Is the problem with the video above simply that youtube compresses the videos I upload? Is Vimeo a better site to upload videos and maintain sharpness? In PE7, is there a way to set it up to upload to Vimeo, or should I render and save as an MP2 or MP4 file and then manually upload?
Surely there's a site which goes into much greater details about the various settings I can use in PE, and how those settings affect the final viewing product.

I am designing an interface with LabVIEW for uing agilent devices. My work colleagues will use this interface. I want to determine which devices are used at the moment and if I determine used device, i will add automatically device names to interface's main vi. So all my work colleagues can see on the program which devices are used by another colleague. This devices are connected with GPIB. İ want to learn is there any function on Instrument I/O palette.

so those devices are connected to the PC with a GPIB connection. Will your collegues run several DAQ programs at the same time?
GPIB-devices being controlled by PC don't have a "in use"-signal. They wait for commands, execute them and send an answer. When you start to control them using two programs they may respond to both programs, mixing up settings/measurement values and so on.
That being said: In MAX you can see all devices connected to your GPIB port. You could scan the GPIB port using VISA commands in your program. You might even try to access a certain device by it's VISA alias. I really don't know if you will get a "device nopt available" error message when that VISA alias is in use by a different program - but you might do a quick test on your own…

So
I've got multiple gmail accounts setup in Mac Mail.
Somtimes when I send or forward emails, it uses the wrong FROM field even though I'm declaring
specifically which account to use.
This becomes apparent when the person replies to my message and it goes to the wrong accountCheck you accounts in Mail and make sure each account has the correct outgoing server address. Check the box to use only that server.
Second, go to the gmail website and in settings under the account tab, make sure you have the correct settings for replying to messages. -

It's a recurring challenge for me.\ 'cause I like using smart albums, but once in a while need to check or chane the passwords.
b) With annoying regularity when I try to get to this forum and choose Aperture, I get the following message - in pink, no less: It appears you're not allowed to view what you requested. You might contact your administrator if you think this is a mistake.
Any clues?

that message may occur for four reasons at least:
Most frequently, when you are using an outdated link to a post that no longer exists, for example from an email notofication. Sometimes our community host will remove posts, that are in violation of the terms of use: see:

Or you are using the edit button or a bookmark to an "Edit" window, after the fifteen minutes allowed for editing are up.
Or you want to view a page in a restricted section of the ASC - soem perta are only open for members of level 6 or higher.
Or it is one of the unexplained problems with the forum software right now.

I really like Kirby's suggestion with the IPTC rule Keyword is. This is very useful for smart albums global to the library.
Frequently a different approach helps for my smart albums. Many of my smart albums are local to projects or folders. In this case the smart HUD will only show those keywords that have been used for the images in the selection. So if I only have tagged the images with the keywords "birds" and "slideshow", the smart settings HUD will only show these two keywords and the list is very short.
My Keywords HUD, is organized hierarchically; this way I can collapse large sections at once, and it is easier to focus on the keywords needed for a specific task.
I use the search field in HUD a lot, to filter the set of keywords shown. -
Which method is used for event creation

My client has more then one Purchase Organization. Workflow for Purchase order release very from pur org to pur org. For example - workflow WS92000030 is trigger when PO is created for India pur org where as workflow WS92000021 is trigger when PO is created for US pur org.
I checked and found that same Object Type - BUS2012 & event - RELEASESTEPCREATED is used in all Pur. Org PO release workflow. Also I found in Transaction code - SWETYP that Type linkage activate for BUS2012, RELEASESTEPCREATED in all the PO workflow - WS92000030 & WS92000021.
As per my knowledge, event can be created in various way such as Function module, Change document, General status management, Business Transaction Events etc.
Can some one guide me, how can I found that which method is used for event creation in different pur org?
How can I fould what is the fuctional module used for event creation if Fuctional module used for event creation.
For your information, I can see in T. Code - SWUO that 'Result dependent on a check function module' for all the workflow - WS92000030, WS92000021 etc.

I dont think they have used the Function module or change document or any other kind of methods to trigger the workflow. This is because RELEASESTEPCREATED method is a standard method and it will be triggered by standard SAP. They can not make changes in standard sap saying RELEASESTEPCREATED should be triggered for this Purchase Org .
Istead what i think is, they might have given the Event Condition for each workflow.
In SWDD>> basic settings>> Start Events, we can give condition on triggering the workflow.

I have a problem when trying to sign emails with an X.509 certificate in Outlook 2010. I constantly get the error message. The certificate is Verified for the email address I'm sending from.
"Invalid Certificate
Microsoft Outlook cannot sign or encrypt this message because you have no certificates which can be
used to send from your e-mail address."I have no problem with signing documents in Word 2010 with the same certificate, only when trying to send email.Every check I can perform confirms that there's nothing wrong with the certificate. Yet, Outlook still says it is invalid.I have even tried installing a second X.509 for the same email address just to check. You may have checked the option "Encrypt contents and attachments for outgoing messages" in Outlook, please uncheck this to test if the problem persists.
File -> Options -> Trust Center -> Trust Center Settings -> E-mail Security -> Clear the checkbox "Encrypt contents and attachments for outgoing messages" -> OK.

The antivirus program our company uses, Bitdefender Antivirus Plus, was causing some of the PDF files not to open. After troubleshooting the different modules and settings the culprit was..
Scan SSL in Privacy Control Settings. Turning it OFF solved the problem and all the PDF files that previously would not open now open just fine. This issue has been sent to Bitdefender for them to review. If you use a different antivirus program and are having this issue try locating the Scan SSL setting and see if turning it off solves the problem. -
AME appears to not be using CUDA or Open CL GPU on MAC
I'm running the latest version of PP and AME CC and also have a supported nVidia card on this iMac, which is the GeForce GT 750M. I also have the latest CUDA drivers for Mac.
What's happening is PP is using the CUDA and OpenCL drivers just fine, but AME does not appear to be. I can switch between the different renderers in AME and the activity monitor in OSX will display the same process usage for the QT32 server regardless of what setting the render is set to (CUDA,OpenCL or Software)
AME had always appeard to be running slow and perhaps this is why.

The issue I believe I'm having appears to be with only AME. PP is using the CUDA render engine just fine, with the GT 750M and I can confirm that in the Activity Monitor in OSX.
What's odd is AME gives a choice to use the CUDA driver or software rendering. When I render a test clip with CUDA rendering, then on the Software only render, there is no difference in the Activity monitor. It appears that the CPU is doing all the rendering regardless of what the render choice is set to.
PP behaves much differently as I can tell a difference when using GPU optimized effects, such as the Gaussian blur vs CPU only rendering.
Could there be an issue with AME using the GPU for exports on a Mac? -

he table you want to use is T247. You can also use the function MONTH_NAMES_GET.
You can also try table T015M. It has the month number in it's key.
