Amend Structure with error, Reference field VBAP-KZWI1 for ZSMINI44_D4-PO_A

Hi,
i try to amend a structure but there is such an error that the Reference field VBAP-KZWI1 for ZSMINI44_D4-PO_AMT has incorrect type...
but the data elements are the same.
Please kindly advice.

Please use VBAP-WAERK as your Reference Field instead od VBAP-KZWI1 for your structure field ZSMINI44_D4-PO_AMT.

8229 isn´t present on any of the both Mailboxservers.
The affected Database is active on Location2-Exc1-Mb1 Server and in an overall healthy state. I found during my research, that below Location2-Exc1-Mb1 Server, there are not removed shadow copies present!
This confuses me, since all Backups are normally taken from the passive copy of a Database.
So my questions to the board are:
* Does anyone is facing similar issues?
* Can someone explain why snapshots are present on the Mailboxserver hosting the Active Database, whilst the errors are logged on the passive one?
-          * Does someone know the conditions, why shadows copies remain and
aren´t removed in a proper manner?
What can cause the circumstance, that only 1 DB is facing such issues?
Any suggestion is welcome!

I´ve encreases VSS / Exchange Backup Log levels to expert, before starting
those things i´ve all tried now:
- Backup from passive DB (forced within Symantec Backup Exec)
- Backup from active DB (forced within Symantec Backup Exec)
- Backup from passive DB without GRT enabled (forced within Symantec Backup Exec)
- Backup from active DB without GRT enabled(forced within Symantec Backup Exec)
All those attempts failed.
But brought some more details - the backup against the active DB states, that there is still a backup in progress and therefore this backup is cancelled by VSS.
The Solution was, that i´ve needed to restart the Exchange Replication Service on the Mailbox Server hosting the passive DB.
Backups are working again on all DBs!

Try this.
Set the f4 help for the field in the fieldcatalog
ls_fcat-f4availabl = 'X'.
1. Create a event of ONF4 for the alv grid.
2. Set the event handler.
3. Append the field for the F4 help in the internal table and call the below method
    CALL METHOD g_mprn->register_f4_for_fields
    EXPORTING
      it_f4 = i_f4.
4. create a class definition and implementation
    refer sample pgms (BCALV_F4, BCALV_GRID_EDIT_DELTA and BCALV_GRID_EDIT)

we have developed packages to do the followings
Extract data from DB2 Source and put it in MS Sql Server 2008 database (Lets Say DatabaseA).From MS Sql Server 2008 (DatabaseA)
we will process the data and place it in another database MS Sql Server 2008 (DatabaseB)
We have created packages in BIDS..We created datasource connection in Datasource folder in BIDS..Which has DB2 Connection and both Ms Sql Server connection (Windows authentication-Let
say its pointing to the server -ServerA which has DatabaseA and DatabaseB).The datasource connections will be used in packages during development.
For deployment we have created Package Configuration which will have both DB2 Connection and MS SqlServer connection in the config
We deployed the packages in different MS SqlServer by changing the connectionstring in the config for DB2 and MS SqlServer...
While runing the package we are getting the following error message

This is because the package has been created by somebody else and the package is being deployed under sombody else's account. e.g. If you are the creator then the package is encryption set according to your account and the package setup in SQL server is
under a different user account.
This happens because the package protection level is set to EncryptSensitiveWithUserKey which encrypts
sensitive information using creator's account name.
As a solution:
Either you have to set up the package in SQL server under your account (which some infrastructures do not allow).
OR
Set the package property Protection Level to "DontSaveSensitive" and add a configuration file
to the package and set the initial values for all the variables and all the connection manager in that configuration file (which might be tedious of-course).
OR
The third options (which I like do) is to open the package file and delete the password encryption entries from the package. Do note that this is not supported by designer and every time you make changes to the connection managers these encryption entries come
back.

Structure with a string field as parameter in FM

Hi,
I have a requirement wherein based on some id which is the import paramter (table) i have to fetch some text of type string n pass as an export paramater. it has to be a table since for each id there wil a text associated with it.
For this i have declared a structure with two fields, one client and the other, the text type string.
While trying to activate my fm, it says that italicsthe structure should be a flat type. You cannot use internal tables. string, references etcitalics
Please provide a solution.

ya using char or lchar would be one option and the other would be the use of the table type in the the import/export parameters. That worked without giving me that warning message and was able to execute my code properly with the desired output.

          end of stru.
this will create the structure and i have defined the fields from ekko table. you can define the fields for your table in the same pasion. you can call any were in your program using the structre name with field name.
Suppose you need to write the fields.The statement is
write : / stru-bukrs,stru-ekogrp.
This is the way to write the structure.
NOTE:
begin of stru and end of stru is structure .
if u write the state like this
begin of itab occurs 0,
end of itab.
its a internal table.

Thanks Désirée for your answer and apologies for the late update on this one.
This issue is resolved now, the reason for the error was a lack of memory which probably triggered a timeout in sapinst. After upgrading the memory to 7GB and re-starting the ABAP+Java AS and resuming sapinst everything went through fine. However, this was hard to spot because the logs wouldn't tell you about the lack of memory but about everything else!

How to reference field make active for manual entry

This can be configured in the below mentioned t code:
VTFL - Delivery to Billing
VTFA - Order to billing
VTFF - Billing to billing
You can specify any of the following as reference
A Purchase order number
B Sales order number
C Delivery number
D External delivery number
E Current billing document number
F External delivery no. if available, otherwise delivery no.
For this you have to maintain the Reference field in the above T Codes... At Header Level of the copy control.

Looks like , J2EE is having a problem connecting to the DB.Pls. chk. the following
-If you have configured the loop-back adapter , if installing on a local system & updated the /etc/host file with your ip address and host name.
or if the system is part of some n/w group and has ip address assigned ?
-Jdk 1.4 version is installed in your system
-Enough free Disk space available in the system
-How much RAM your system has which windows version you are using ?
-Is the DB is coming up properly ? its error related to this. check the logs.
-If the ports used by sap install / run used by other services running on the system ? & user have admin. privileges on the system .
Pls. update with your findings on above same , for the step next ...

Activation after changes in structure with errors.

hi all,
I have a Z- Structure which is included in a transparent Z- table.
I made some changes in the data element of one of the structure fields, (Changed from Char to NUMC ), now when i activate the structure it shows an error , saying " Alter table not possible on the table.....".
Any idea how to proceed from here, is there some other way to change and activate all the dependent tables.
All answers will be appreciated.

Hi,
You need to go to the tables which are using this structure and then use Data Base Utility ( T code Se14 ) to adjust and activate the database tables.
Also make sure that the programs which are using dependent tables are also changed accordingly and this activity is done some time when system is not being used much.

Define structure with table type fields using keyword "TYPES"

Using keyword "TYPES", I want to define a structure in which there is a field must be table type. It seems not allowed. For example:
    TYPES tt_items TYPE TABLE OF sflight.
    TYPES: BEGIN OF str,
      field1 TYPE i,
      field_tabl TYPE tt_items.
    TYPES: END OF str.
Then I got a syntax error:
"TT_ITEMS" is a generic type. Use of this type is only possible for     typing field symbols and formal parameters. -
What should I do if I want to have a table type field in it?

include type EKKO includes the whole strucutre of EKKO.
if you see the structure in debug mode, it_ekko contains the fields of EKKO as well as the field CHK of type C.
In your case you can do this
TYPES: BEGIN OF str.
INCLUDE TYPE sflight. " includes whole structure of SFLIGHT
TYPES : field1 TYPE i. " include the field1 of type I
TYPES: END OF str.
DATA : it_str TYPE TABLE OF str, " internal table
       is_str TYPE str.          " work area

FEBA posting- issue with transaction reference field

Hello Friends ,
we have an issue while performing FEBAposting , One fo the user exist is using thefield - VWEZW(Note to Payee ) from the table FEBRE . This has a data issue as a result of which we are getting a DUMP .
I suppose there is a standard transaction to modify the entries.
please advice if you are aware.

Please check if you are getting any error like below in the logs.
"statement is closed at the index 501 Transaction ID"
If yes, then this issue was fixed in SP08. Please check the SAP note: 1168183.

Confirmation with errors in calc. actual costs for PM-order

Hi,
We have a PM-order with notifications and good movements that has tecnical completion status and is already settled. So we want to set it with bussines completion status, but an error arises: "Unprocessed future change recs for order 5009385 prevent del. flag/completion"
We already checked for automatic goods receipt pending, backflushes, etc. and the only found is an error record in actual costs calculation (trn. COFC). Looking at this record the message says: "No prices could be determined for object Activity type CONA/900097/PM-100" (message KW 407).
We checked price set for the activity type and cost center and is set for all the periods of actual fiscal year. Then looking at the details for above message, we found the following: "No price could be found for object Activity type CONA/900097/PM-100 with price indicator 7 and value type 4"
The question is: why system is trying to get price for activity type PM-100 with price indicator 7 instead of 3 as usual for our PM-orders? How price indicator is defined from actual PM-order parameters? Any idea?

Whats your activity type category? I believe it should be 1
Your point is right, price indicator shud be 3 because while confirmation system uses the planned rate.. And price indicator pertains to actual activity price..
Check whether you have calculated or maintaned actual activity price or not in KBK6

Lync Topology fails with error (Mutliple Entries were found for type "ms_RTC-SIP-EdgeProxy")

Hello everyone,
After I have finished with Lync FE, Monitoring and Archiving, and WAC server I was going well with Edge server until I got to the point of publishing the topology with Edge Server.
First time publishing went well but I wanted to place the configured IP addresses in the Edge server IP topology with a different IPs and when I published i got the below error.
I tried looking in the trusted Services in Configuration OU using ADSI Edit but never was able to figure out how do I find the duplicated entries? I used also used Softerra LDAP adminsitrator and was able to find 5 values but not sure which one to delete
among them.
Could anyone advise where to look? I'm posting the error as well below
