American Apple Account / French iPhone

I'm an American who lives in France. My finances, Paypal account, etc are in America, so I've been using my american Apple ID in France for many years now.
The only problem is that I have a new iPhone and there's no way to enter my French iPhone number into iTunes because it won't recognize the number with my French phone number.
This week I had to open up an French Apple account because I'm buying a new iMac from Apple in France. If I switch to my French Apple ID, can I still access my iTunes, etc. in English?
It gets tricky having 1 foot in 2 countries!

Actually, there is a difference. It's perhaps the way I stated it. I'm sure an iPhone would work in any country, but a phone number, and Apple ID get tricky.
I couldn't buy my French computer without a french Apple ID. I have a French phone number which I can't register with my American Apple ID. Maybe I need to register my iPhone with my French Apple ID and then switch to the American for synching, etc.

  • Two separate Apple accounts for iPhone but one iPad - can we get apps from both accounts to iPad?

My wife and I have our own apple accounts (for our iphones) but share (or fight really!) over the only iPad.
Is it possible to download Apps from both our accounts onto the Ipad, or would this violate the T&C and so not possible?
    Any thoughts most welcome.
    cheers.

It doesn't violate any terms and conditions, but if you associate the iPad with another Apple ID by downloading any past purchases using that other ID, you lock yourself out of the first ID for 90 days. You can read this for more information and decide if you want to associate the iPad with another ID.

  • Changing Apple Account on iPhone

My mother-in-law's iPhone was set up using her daughter's Apple account.  Now, they want to remove the daughter's Apple account from the iPhone and have mother-in-law get her own Apple account on the phone.
    1.  Is this possible?
    2.  How do you do this?
I thought about that mother-in-law needs to write down all of the apps she currently has on her phone, so she knows what she'll need to download/buy to put back on her phone.

Yes, it will be necessary to download all apps again after changing the Apple ID.
    You change it in Settings/Store.
BTW, the apps purchased with a different Apple ID will continue to work, but it will be necessary to enter the old accoun's password when updating them.

  • Deleting an apple account on Iphone 4

I set up an Apple account on my iphone4 two years ago with an email account that is now closed. I can not remember my password and can't reset it via email.  I can't answer the security questions because I must have entered an incorrect DOB. I have set up a new Apple account using my current email but can't delete the old account on my phone because I need the password.  Find my phone is activated.  What do I do now? Can anyone help me?

If there's an activation lock set, the previous owner needs to remove it. You don't need to know the password involved.
Apple will only remove the lock if the registered owner asks and provides the original purchase receipt.

  • Random Apple account on iPhone

    Hey guys,
I've recently upgraded to a new iPhone, and when restoring I used iCloud to back up my settings, apps, music, etc. When it was complete, I checked my 'Music' app to make sure all of the music I had on my previous phone was restored to my new one, to find two artists (an album by each artist) purchased by a different iTunes account among MY music. When I try the "swipe to delete" to remove it from my phone, it does not work. When I plug my phone in to iTunes, they do not show up, and every once in a while a message while pop up prompting me to enter both of the users passwords, to listen to the music I assume. When I try to play them the same thing happens, the "enter password" bubble pops up. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated as it's starting to annoy me having these songs on my phone that don't belong to me and can't play.
    Alex

Connect the phone to a computer
Click on the phone under devices
Click on the music tab above the picture of the phone in the middle of the screen,
Uncheck sync music -remove music - apply - recheck sync music.
This should remove music from any accounts.
    then resync your music

  • HT204053 I accidentally set up a different Apple account on my iCloud (iPhone 4) and my iTunes for my iPod. How can I now sync the iTunes with my iPhone?

I recently purchased and iPhone 4. In my haste to set it up, I created an iCloud account with a username that is different from the Apple account name I have on my iPod and iTunes account.
How can I sync the two accounts so that I can download my music from my iPod to my iPhone?

How can I turn my french apple account into an Australian one , to be able to buy a Iphoto book I 've created ?

And you need to set the "Print Products Store" in the iPhoto Preferences "Advanced" to the country you are in. The credit card you will be using with your AppleID needs to be valid in the country your AppleID is registered to. Will you be staying permanently in Australia? Maybe it wuld be simpler to create a second AppleID just for the time of your stay there.

Is it possible that the person who sent the message to your phone sent it to your phone # instead?  Try sending a message to your phone via the email address and see if it shows up on the iPad.

  • Owning 2 iphones with one Apple account has = Sync Problems.

Owning 2 iphones with one Apple account has = Sync Problems.  iTunes is thinking my old iphone 4 is the same phone as my iphone 5C.  When I plugged in my iphone 5C it auto synced my 5C to iTunes and it wiped my 5C and restored it to the same content as is on my iPhone 4.  This is a big problem since my 5 year old has been using the iPhone 4.  It's all Mickey Mouse and Backyardigans.  (Total photo/app/contacts loss)
I was able to update the 5C and restore from a 3 month old backup that is actually the content from the 5C but now when I plug in my 5C it wants to "setup as new phone" or "restore from backup"  What's going on?  I'm afraid to choose either option.
How can I get iTunes to see these devices as 2 and not one?
Can I use my Apple ID on both phones still or is this the problem?

They were both displaying the same name in iTunes.  I changed the name of the iPhone 4 before the 5C was plugged in but it still went ahead with syncing it to the 4's data.

You need to create a user account for your wife (or yourself depending on who has the current user account). When syncing, each of you should sign in as a separate user, login to iTunes and then sync. I had this problem when my sister got an iPhone. When we did her initial sync, everything on my iPhone showed up on hers. Apple gave me this solution.

  • Two iphones, one apple account and icloud backup?

my wife and I both have iphones with only one apple account, I did the icloud back up on my phone and everything is fine, but when I did hers it shared all of our contacts, now I have two diiferent accounts set up for itunes, do I need to create another apple account for her phone and can we delete the contacts that were put on our phones without losing anything else? Thanks

If you are sharing an iCloud account do not start deleting contacts on either device.  Doing so will delete them from iCloud and the other device and they will be lost.  To prevent merged data like this you need to have different iCloud accounts on each device.  You can continue to use the same ID for purchasing from the iTunes and App stores; it does not need to be the same as your iCloud ID.  To fix this, first decide which phone will be getting the new iCloud account.  Then on that phone, go to Settings>iCloud and turn all data that is syncing with iCloud (contacts, calendars, etc.) to Off.  When prompted choose to keep the data on the iPhone.  After everything is turned off, scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account.  (This will only delete the account from this phone, not from iCloud.  The other phone will not be effected by this.)  Next, set up a new iCloud account on this phone using a different Apple ID and turn iCloud data syncing for contacts, etc. back to On.  When prompted, choose Merge.  This will upload the data to this new account.  At this point you will have two different iCloud accounts, one for each phone, with identical data on them.
You will then have to go to icloud.com on your computer and sign into each iCloud account separately and manually delete the other person's data from your account (such as deleting your wife's contacts from your iCloud account, and vice versa).  These changes will be reflected on each phone.  When finished you will have individual iCloud accounts with just your own data on them.
