American credit card with foreign billing address

Hello!
My little cousing just got an iPod Touch as a birthday present, and I am trying to set up her Apple account. My uncle gave me his credit card, but it turns out it is an American card with a Venezuelan billing address. I already tried setting it up with the Venezuela iTunes store but it wouldn't let me, and it won't let me do it in the US iTunes store either.
What should I do?

You will need a CC and billing address from the same country.
You could try iTunes Gift Cards.

  • What happends if I lose my credit card, with my billing address

Im asking this because Im very dumby and I not always remember where and when I put my things so, I was thinking can someone steal me money with apple and can I would be able to track him/her ? If there is a posibility, what can I track, how far away can I track someone ? Please put the question in others communities im very interested in this topic

If you lose your credit card then it can only be linked to an iTunes account that has the same name and address as the card is registered to. Not sure what you mean by 'track', but you won't be able to see who or where the person is if it happens - you will only see charges on your credit card statement, in which case you should contact your credit card issuer so that they can cancel the card and handle it.
If your own iTunes account is hacked then they shouldn't be able to make any purchases on your account unless they know the answers to your security questions (the answers to 2 of them should be asked for on the first purchase from a new computer or iOS device) : About Apple ID security questions
Or they will need your 'trusted device' if you are using 2-step verification : Frequently asked questions about two-step verification for Apple ID
But again you can't track the person if that happens, you should contact iTunes Support if it happens

  • HT1918 US credit card with outside US address in US iTunes store?

    I use a U.S credit card in U.S.iTunes store for 2 years
I moved to Taiwan this September. I also changed my Citibank billing address to Taiwan.
Unfortunately....iTunes store asked me to update my billing addrress.
But in payment information form, I can't change my address to Taiwan.
If I change my country to Taiwan, itunes store asked my to create a new Apple ID!
How to use this credit card in U.S. iTunes store?
    Thank you so much!

Sorry, but you can't. Not only are you not allowed to use the US iTunes Store from outside the US - the terms of use state that you agree not to even attempt it - but to use the US iTunes Store a credit card must be both issued in by a US bank and have a US billing address.
The only iTunes Store you can use now is the Taiwanese one, for which you will need a Taiwan-issued payment method.
    Regards.

  • HT1689 I want to purchase an app from the US iTunes store using my credit card with billing address inIndia

    Hi,
I want to download an app which is unfortunately not available on the Indian iTunes app store. I have an internationally valid credit card with my billing address in India. I tried to change my store settings to see if I could log into the US iTunes store, but since all my credit cards are registered on my address in India, I am unable to log into the US store.
Can somebody please help me in this regard?

You cannot. To open an account on a different iTunes country you must have a valid credit card issued from a bank in that country. You must have a billing address in that country, as well.
There are reasons why some apps are not available in all iTunes stores.

  • How can i pay on the apple store online with two credit cards, with two different billing addresses

I will be greatful if you could answer me this question...
How can i pay on the apple store online with two credit cards, with two different billing addresses?
I know that you can use two credit cards to pay an item but the problem is that i can only put the billing address of just one of the credit cards, and since the two cards are from different people (my parents) i can't do it. They live in the same place so i don't know if i should just put one of the billing address.
    Thank you.
PS. I don't know if this is the right community to ask this, sorry if i'm wrong.

On the Apple Store "Payment & Pricing" page it states:
Using more than one payment card
You can also combine payment methods to pay for your purchase. Choose from the following combinations of credit cards and Apple Gift Cards:
Credit card(s) - up to two
Apple Gift Card(s) - up to eight
Apple Gift Card(s) + one credit card
During checkout, if you are paying with a gift card issued by a credit card company, you can combine it with one credit card.

  • I was an Exchange student in the USA and I had a American Credit card. It expired, now back in the Netherlands I found out I still need to pay some bills. But I can't change credit cards, cause I'm not in the USA anymore

Yeah, so I had a American credit card from bank of America, and I closed my bank account before I left the country.
When I came home I found out I still need to pay like $2.00 but I can't change the country cause I need to pay my bill first,
but I can't because I don't own a American credit card anymore... what do I do??

Contact a friend in the USA and have them mail to you a cheap US iTunes Gift Card that you can redeem in your US account. Or, if a friend has an iTunes account, they can use the iTunes app on a Mac or PC to buy a cheap electronic gift certificate for you. The second option would be faster.

  • HT1904 I purchased my I-Pad in the USA and opened my apps account with my American credit card.  Now that I am in Brazil, I can not  make any purchases and can't edit my account.

I need to update my account or be able to use themone I originally opened in the USA with my American credit card.  I also want tomuse my language, English, so,how can I stay with my USA Apple Store?

Again, you are not allowed to use the US iTunes Store from outside of the US. Nor are some of the apps you mentioned - probably not any that provide any sort of live game coverage, anyway - licensed for use outside the US and may not work elsewhere.
If you are in Brazil, the Brazilian iTunes Store is the only one you are allowed to use. There's nothing more we can say on the subject.
    Regards.

  • Why can't Expatriates use their American Credit Cards

I had been using my foreign address with my American credit card in the past, but just after the current update broke seeing Panasonic RW2 files in Finder, I discovered that I am no longer allowed to live outside the US and buy things from the App Store and presumeably not from the iTunes store.  My credit card company has both my foreign address and my foreign phone number on file.
I can see there being a problem if the credit card company's address for the customer did not match the location of of the user, but this is not the case with my card and card company and I have bought things from US companies without this problem.  I should be able to attach the account to the US store with the US card or I should be able to use the foreign store with the US card which has my foreign address.
I think there are many people in my situation, Americans living abroad who keep their banking in the US and I guess Apple feels it can throw us away as customers.   I'd like to know the reason.  It's not the issuing banks.
This also means, of course, that I can never buy an iPhone or an iPad, and will have to stick with Android phones where I can buy apps on line.

I have never had a US iTunes account.  My first iTunes account was set up in Nicaragua, with a US credit card that had my foreign address as the address of record.  This card company was sold to another US credit card company which sent me my new card to my address in the country where I have residence.  My address is here; my Apple account is here.  The first time I ever bought anything was from here with a US credit card, so this is a new thing Apple has done.  I'm not pretending to be in the US with a US card.  My card issuer knows that I'm in Nicaragua (has my address and my Nicaraguan phone).   In fact, if I try to log into the US store and use a US address for the credit card, it doesn't match the address on record.   The credit card company's connections are telling Apple that yes, I am in Nicaragua with that card.  Every other on line seller I've dealt with accepts the card as my card with my local address, issued by a US bank.
It was not the rule when I bought Lion (and I was in Nicaragua then), or when I bought iMovie, or another program that I just updated.
I have found out that there are some resellers of Macs in Managua.
    I'm not asking for advice.
I'm telling people that Apple has recently put in a policy that keeps me from making legitimate transactions with a credit card from a US bank that they accepted before.  The first card I used was issued in the US and worked just fine.  This is new, with a bank that knows where I live since they shipped the credit card to me here.
I've already complained to Apple directly about this.   It's not the way they have always been doing things, so anyone who repeats that is simply ignorant.

  • How can I use an American credit card to pay for a membership from outside the US?

How can I use an American credit card to pay for a membership from outside the US? My payment page is set up for Japanese credit cards. I can't change to the US store, because the "Select a Store" page just jumps to the "Products" page.
Has anyone else had this problem? Any help would be much appreciated!

    Hi Batt5721,
    Welcome to Adobe Forums.
The address and the country on the Credit Card should match the billing address then only payment would be possible.

  • Changing payment info in account - new credit card and new billing country

    Hello,
My iTunes account is set to Italy as that is the billing country of the credit card I associated with it when I started the account. Yet, I know live in Belgium and have a credit card with billing address in Belgium. I have tried to update the information but:
I cannot change the payment information from the payment information options since the address and credit card settings are set on Italy (if I try to simply type my new credit card number, I get an error message that says that the credit card number I entered is not valid for Italy)
I cannot change the Country/Region setting. The message I get is "you have an active iTunes Match subscription; you must cancel it before you can change stores".
So, does it boil down to cancelling the iTunes Match subscription? If so, how do I do it (there is no option in iTunes itself to do that)? Also, I have 4 good months left on my iTunes Match subscription - will I be credited those months back if I cancel and then re-subscribe?
Last but not least: I read some really dreadful posts from 2011 on how people who had changed billing information had lost access to their apps and were charged anew for music they had bought with the previous credit card. Has this issue been solved?
    Thanks for your help!
    Caterina

You have to physically be in that country as well as have a credit card (or  iTunes gift card) both of which have to have been purchased or have a billing address in the country of that iTunes store.

  • HT2731 Is there any way to set up a new Apple ID with a billing address in a different country?

I recently moved to the US from the UK and bought a new MBP, but can't set up an account with a UK billing address. Thanks!

I have a credit card issued by a US bank, but the billing address is back in the UK.
Sorry, but that card won't work. The credit card has to be both issued by a bank in the country whose iTunes Store you wish to use and that has a billing address in that same country. A split card like yours, issued by a bank in one country but with a billing address in another, can't be used in the iTunes Store in either country.
You'll need a credit card that is both issued by a US bank and has a US billing address, or will need to purchase US iTunes prepaid cards.
    Regards.

  • IPhoto Calendar - International Shipping with US Billing Address?

I would like to send a calendar I'm making in iPhoto as gifts to friends around the world.  Can I make the purchases using my US based credit card?  For example I go to preferences -> advanced and change my store to Singapore (to ship to a friend in Singapore).  Would I be able to make the purchase with a credit card with a US billing address?
It is my understanding that if I leave the store as United States in preferences, the inputs would not allow for international addresses to be put in and that is why I'm changing the store's country.

With some many posts related to "shipping internationally from iPhoto" you would think Apple would chime in by now.  It really is a major failure on Apple's part that international shipping is not allowed.  Instead you force users to go to SNAPFISH or other 3rd party services - thus taking our money elsewhere.
Its been a problem for YEARS... please fix this Apple.  You can't expect users to open a credit card account in a different country - also its almost impossible to do for most people.

  • I have a Canadian credit card but a Korean address only. Can I switch to the Canadian iTunes Store to purchase a movie?

I have a Canadian credit card but not a Canadian address. My address is in South Korea. I want to purchase a movie from the iTunes Store, but I cannot currently because there is no Korean iTunes Store. May I switch to the Canadian iTunes Store with a Canadian credit card and a Korean address? Or how can I gain access to the Canadian iTunes Store?

The iTunes Store in a country is intended for use only by that country's residents, and only while they are in the country. To use the iTunes Store in a country you need a credit card (or other card type if acceptable in a country) issued in that country, billed to an address in that country, and also be physically present in that country when using the store.  You are also restricted to waiting 90 days between country changes.
