American Idol performances not avail on iTunes for iPhone?

Am I blind or dumb? I am trying to find and download some of the recent American Idol performances / studio recordings, but none of them come up on iTunes on my iPhone. I can get them fine on iTunes on my computer, but nothing comes up when searching directly on the iPhone.
I've done some searching for this topic to no avail.
What gives?!?

Go to the Store on your phone, tap music at the bottom and scroll all the way to the bottom of the page, just above your account info you'll see the Idol logo and a link to download this week's performances.

I open iTunes and everything is there, calender data and adresses!

Ios 4.3 not offered in iTunes for iPhone 4

Bought iPhone 4 (Verizon) yesterday. When first synced, software updated to 4.2.8. Now iTunes (10.2.2) says that is the latest system available. Apple says that ios 4.3.x is out. What goes?

The 4.3.3 OS is for the GSM version. The highest OS available for the Verizon (CDMA) iPhone is 4.2.8

IPhoto Events NOT Appearing in iTunes for iPhone Syncing

Hi Guys,
I'm a recent convert from PC to mac. I loaded all my pictures into iPhoto and it recognized them all correctly as Events.
In iTunes though, I don't see a listing of my events. It says "Last 3 Months" and "Last Import"
How can I get it to see my events?

You need to create "Albums" in iPhoto if you want them separated by Events:
Ex: Johnny's Birthday (drag the birthday pix in Album-Titled: Johnny's Birthday
Next Album, etc.
In iTunes, when you go to the "Photos" Tab.. you choose which Albums you want to sync in phone.. Then Ta daa!
I personally, just made an Album Titled "iPhone". Any pix I want in my iPhone, I just drag it in that file.. (all events)
That way I only have to worry about one file.

Under other "sync-able" players, there's usually the "Sync only checked items" radio button. Not for the 2.0 Apple TV. There's no option, but acts as though that option ("sync only, etc...") has been selected. Figured it out after an hour of walking back and forth from my Mac to the TV. Argh.
Try it. De-select the shows, sync the AppleTV and look under the "TV Shows" and the one's you've unchecked will not be there.

IPhone 5 stuck in recovery mode. Not recognized in iTunes for Windows

Hi,
My iphone 5 stuck during update to 8.2. It is now frozen in recovery mode, showing a 'connect to itunes' screen. The problem I have is that (the recently upgraded to 12.0.1) itunes is not recognizing my device. I have tried all of the suggestions here: iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch not recognized in iTunes for Windows, to no avail. I have not removed iTunes and reinstalled to test that, as I am concerned this will destroy the backups of my phone - which I will now desperately need once the phone is recovered.
Has anyone got any suggestions?

If you receive an error 3194 when attempting to restore your iPhone, I would suggest that you troubleshoot using the steps in this article -
Error 3194, Error 17, or "This device isn't eligible for the requested build"

I did an iPad1 IOS5 update and on the reboot could not get iTunes to recognize my iPad.
I did all the recommended troubleshooting to no avail. So I called this morning and while on hold I put my password back on my device just as before and BAM iTunes now recognizes device and is doing my restore.
So if you do a backup of your device before the update and you have it password protected, it won't recognize the device until you go through and setup a new device and put your password back to what is was before, then BAM you're good! Good Luck and hopefully you won't have to spend the day I did figuring this out.

1 - See this backup tip.
2 & 3 - If you are refering to device backups see your other thread. If you want multiple snaphots of the iTunes library then the tool in 1. above can be used for that too. Create multiple backup pairs with different destinations and operate them in rotation.

None of us are realy "Global TV subscribers", we are customers of one TV service provider or another, aka cable and satellite companies. Alas, I am in the situation where my service provider - Bell TV - has apparently not yet reached an agreement with Global, so I am hooped twice. I paid iTunes for a season pass that seems to have stopped delvering content. And I pay Bell TV for content which Global says I can only get in online form once Global and Bell reach some kind of agreement, although Shaw, Telus and Cogeco subscribers are already receiving it.

I, too, relied on the name of the iTunes library being displayed on the top header bar of the iTunes window. I have 2 iTunes libraries that I go back and forth on all the time, and now I really have to look at the contents to figure out which library I'm in at any given moment. What a pain!! And what a stupid move to diminish functionality, Apple. You folks have been doing this more all the time lately -- taking away perfected functionality -- and either deleting it or changing it just for the sake of a new look. If it ain't broke, don't fix it!! Please!
A good example of that is the dim grey text in all too much Apple everything these days. Black is beautiful, please! And especially useful in reading!! And, apparently, enough people thought so, too, since I see black text is back in iTunes 11. It went grey, and you heard from enough people that that was something no one should have changed. Well, as the Gipper said: Here you go again! Bring back the Library Name. You've got plenty of room; you don't need to put it in another vertical space -- just put in in line with the other stuff you've got there. Put it left of the "Search Library." That would be fine. I believe all iPad Smart Cases & colors for the 2nd, 3rd & 4th gen models have been discontinued except for the Polyurethane Dark Grey color. The reason you are likely seeing them on Amazon & other websites is that they still have stock. If you really want that color, you'll have to go through Amazon (or other) or check/call your local Apple Store to see if they may have the item in stock at that particular store.

What about cloned backup drives? Can those drives be moved to another machine? Filemaker 1 in 1984 through Filemaker Pro 8.5 allowed you to run the software off an external drive. With Filemaker 9 they moved to a file scheme that required calling in and uninstalling from one cpu and installing to a new cpu. That would have been fine if Filemaker would answer their phones. It was a horrible experience, something Mac users would not tolerate back in the eighties.
With the Apple Store, you could avoid calling in but their system has to be online for you to make your transition. Because Apple sells hardware, they should continue to build some costs into the hardware and continue ease of use. Microsoft can't do that. That is why I do not use Microsoft products except Office.

If your three macs are similar, installing to an external firewire drive may or may not still work as a boot device. It has been nice to be able to boot from a backup drive instead of just recover files from a backup.

The first two generations of iPod (that used a standard 6-pin Firewire cable) don't work with Windows. There was a workaound through MusicMatch for the second-gen, but I have no idea if that software is still available, or even if it will install on a modern copmputer (Windows ME, 2000 and XP era).
If instead of original, you mean the first model that got labelled as "classic," with a dock connector, if you describe exactly what appears on both the iPod and the PC screen when you plug it in, somebody might be able to help you. My first recommendations would be to (1)try a different USB cable, to see if that's the problem, and then (2) try synching with a different computer, to see if your PC is the problem. If neither of those result in success, then the community here can help you to try troubleshooting the iPod itself.

How can I paste album artwork onto iTunes album that is not available on iTunes. I have tried Command c the v and dragging but it doesn't work.

If you downloaded the artwork from the Internet. It'll be in your downloads folder. Open the folder, and "drag" the image from the folder to the Artwork box in the Info pane as shown:
When you see the "+" you know it's ready to drop, and it will add the artwork to ALL selected tracks as soon as you click "OK".
