So i log in tonight to download my bill for my Everyday Card, when I log in my Green Charge card is the default that shows up first and I notice a negetive balance of $96.62 and below it says its a credit for a balance inquary....... I call up and get an american rep and i ask, "ya what's this credit on my account for?"rep asks for my name and then he looks at my account and says " yes i see this and looks like there are notes about it,may i place you on hold while i check this?"i say " yes go ahead"i'm on hold for maybe a full minute....rep comes back and says " i checked with my manager and she said the credit was system generated to credit your account for back when you downgraded to the Sr Green card a few years ago"I was like " realy? I already had it corrected way back, so your system now swooped in and credited my account for something that happened years ago?"rep said " yes and you get to keep it"I was like " thank you, you guys are full of surprises lately"we then nicely ended the call. CM25 planning board

Dear experts,
I have been working on the CM25 graphic planning board. So far I have not been able to show if a production order is scheduled to be finished in time.
Do you know if it is possible to show this somehow?
I am thinking in two directions:
1) The planning and scheduling log gives a warning message if the "scheduled finish date" differs from the "basic finish date" (also when it is produced too early). Can I change the settings of the scheduling and planning log?
2) I know how to link different colors in the planning board depending on a user status. Is it possible to determine a status which compares the "scheduled finish date" and "basic finish date"?
Are there any other solutions?

Dear Rachael,
One thing I learned is that CM25 is full of surprises. In the end I did manage to compare the "basic date" and "scheduled date" and assign different colors to them. Our customer requirements are converted via MRP which calculates the basic dates of our planned orders. As long as the basic dates are correct, the colors of the planning board will indicate if an order is still on time or not.
The problem is that if a planned order is firmed or if a production order is created the basic dates will no longer change even if the customer requirements change...
It turns out that we will be able to use this solution for our client, but I did not find a real solution to compare production with the customer requirements.

Ok either you work for MSI or you changed the settings in 3dmark11. I only scored around 5K with my GT60 2PE 3k. Any idea why I'm scoring 3k below you? Laptop was plugged in btw. Also how can you enter bios settings with this laptop? I suspect that maybe the hybrid gpu thing is affecting my score, and the Pc is probably not fully utilizing the GTX 880M, maybe in bios I can disable the integrated CPU's video card??? Can't publish-project too long

I will give more background later, but to put my issue shortly, I will give the following info:
I have one video clip that I have trimmed (by taking a bit from the beginning and a bit from the end). It is almost 2 hours long (1:56 to be exact).
So, I have one clip in the project and no music. A pretty simple project. I say share with iDVD. It says it will take about 2 hours or so... and it seems to be going through all the appropriate processing, then, as it approaches the end of the process, it pops up with an error message from iMovie:
Unable to prepare project for publishing.
The project could not be prepared for publishing because an error occurred. (Project is too long.)
(I'd give the little illustration, but whenever I bring up "Grab", it hides the pop-up error. Once I click on iMovie, the pop-up error returns. Weird!-- But this is a moot point as this isn't the problem- I need to publish my project to iDVD.)
Other facts:
I have 11.4 GB available on my hard drive, so this is not the issue. (I had cleared up space thinking that was the problem as this is the second or third time I've attempted)
The original movie file that is in the project is about 2.29 GB in size.
Oddly, it seems that an error pops up under my Aperture saying I don't have sufficient space for the library volume. I was doing nothing on the MacBook while this project was publishing, so not sure why that is coming up... and not sure why it would say there isn't sufficient space for the library if I have tons of space on my hard drive. And, why is it popping up each time I try to publish my iMovie project? There aren't any photos from Aperture even in the project.
This mp4 file that I am using is actually a file produced by Elgato Video Capture (This is a VHS to digital transfer), if this matters at all.
Previously, I had imported some jpegs into iPhoto, (for another iMovie project that I needed photos for), but iMovie could not "see" them even though they were there plain as day. So, I imported into Aperture those same photos, and iMovie was able to "see" those in Aperture (these 11 photos are all I have in Aperture as I have not ventured into Aperture much yet-- but needed a work around for some reason on this OTHER project). I give this info in the instance that this Aperture to iMovie link could be causing any issue with this project despite no photos being included in this project.

Even though it might seem like a lot of space those 11.4GB of space, you still might need a little more especially as iDVD can only just about handle 2hr. worth of video material to fit on one DVD-R. The target free space you might want to get closer to is something like 25GB of open free space (almost double what you have free now). Partially the reason is all that 2 hours needs to be converted from the format it's in now Apple Intermediate Codec (AIC) to full MPEG-2. That's where things really start to expand and inflate. Then iDVD takes that whole MPEG-2 encoded file and makes an equally large Disk Image out of it that can then be burned to DVD-R. So the space requirements balloon up very quickly.
Sharing directly to iDVD can be full of surprises. Instead what you might want to try rather than Sharing to DVD is instead sharing it to the Media Browser from iMovie first (Large Size). Quit iMovie wants it completes the encoding. Open iDVD, go to the Media button down in the lower right hand corner of the Window and at the top of the Media Browser choose Movies. In the window you should see an iMovie Star icon with the project you shared immediately beneath that. Create a new project and drag that shared iMovie into the project window.

Any known issues with Mac Pro supply?

On the 22nd Nov I ordered my 8 core Mac Pro with 4 x 1TB internal drives 8 GB Ram, ATI Radeon HD 4870 512MB, and Raid card.
At the time Apple Store was showing 5 working days for dispatch.
Here we are on 2nd December and although the store still shows 5 days, the Mac hasn't dispatched yet.
I called Apple support and a man called David said he'd find out what was happening +(I thought that's what support was for - surely they should know)+ and call me back.
Three hours later I called Apple support again and a man called Daniel told me that "Order Management" had replied to David but they didn't know what had happened to the order.
He suggested it may have "dropped out of the system".
I have to say, I'm extremely disappointed with this. Obviously, I'm very anxious to get a new computer +(chiefly for video editing)+ and I don't expect to pay over 4,000 GBP +(about 6,600 US Dollars)+ and have no communication whatever - and then when I'm frustrated enough to telephone for help, find that Apple have taken my money OK but don't know anything about the stuff the money was for.
Any ideas anyone?

Custom BTO taking longer due to configuration?
It's probably due in part to Thanksgiving; I find the online order status is always strange or full of surprises in its estimates and goes from 5 days to shipped or gets held up (maybe they ran out of widgets? the boat was full? weather kept the plane from departing?)
And yes, I get anxious, and end up paying overnight just to get the whole experience and waiting over as soon as possible too~!
And maybe only a super or level 2 can look into someone else's message queue.
There really are shortages of GPU chips with the ATI 5xxx rollout right now, holidays and other factors.
Hint: not to put salt into a wound, not my intention, but the Apple RAID card is not well loved, useful but only because there aren't many choices for an internal Hard RAID controller; plus you really do have to pay for Apple drives (firmware compatibility). Most get one drive and buy those things separately.
So BTO like yours might indeed take longer than estimates go.

i'd like to port an existing application to bridge. i briefly read the sdk docs but i'm not sure if the bridge sdk offers the opportunities i need:
- can i change the size and position of images on the content pane?
- can i handle mouse events in the content pane?
- do i have read access to the content of images (the bitmap data)?

Oh, I think you can't do that. And even if you find a way to solve this, it will will we full of workarounds and may not be fluent.
You can build custom views in the content pane via the new Collection Class in CS4 (or saved Queries in CS2,CS3). I'm not sure if you can edit the sort order directly in this class. Maybe you must du that by editing the metadata of a thumbnail and sort based on the edited field (=slow).
Allthough you have access to the image content via the bitmapData Class I don't think that the javascript api is fast enough the perform a good image analysation. You don't have access to the pixel array, you must call getPixel and setPixel individually.
Bridge provides a lot of Thumnail and window based events, but I don't think that the DOM gives you access to the mouse events, correct me if I'm wrong.

Problematic reverse speed in Audio Subclips

I am trying to create some room tone loops.
I take a portion of an audio subclip into the timeline and 100% speed-reverse it. The resulting clip does not have the same In and Out points that I have given to the subclip but (arbitrarily?) takes a different In and Out point from the original Master Clip and renders it in reverse. (The duration remains the same).
This does not happen if I use a portion of an Audio Master Clip in the first place, instead of using a portion of an Audio subclip.
Is this a conflict that occurs in FCP 5.0.4? Is it some kind of system or user setting?
Of course I could remove the Audio Subclip limits and work with Master Clips, but I am at the end of a project that has been fully logged in subclips and multiclips...
Any answer is quite valuable, since I am editing twenty-three hours of footage with numerous changes in room tones and speech...

That's a way to work around it!
Yet, I am trying to figure out a problem-free way of logging that does not have to go through such changes until I finish a large project. I decide about the workflow in the beginning, but I have to change it when it comes to audio subclips and multiclip marking, and this full-of-surprises process is time-consuming and stressful.
Do you know if this is the usual case with FCP's audio subclips, even with the latest upgrade? Or is it just a problem in my system, which I should try to fix?

oracle databases, we will find someone with pl/sql-knowledge :-), so this is not an

but what have you done with this wonderful idea?
you have moved webdb to an enterprise-portal, with great functionality and a huge requirement
of resources. no doubt, it is a powerful product, where you can build wonderfull sites
full of surprising elements, every second character bold and blinking . . .
but you forgot the customers, who only need a simple way, to create forms and reports.
by moving portal to such a level, as you have done, you left a gap below this.
please tell me, why should i install and use such a 'mighty' product as 9iAS, when i only
need the functionality, that came with webdb??
some impressions:
- starting with the installation ( download 2 GB! a just released product and i have to download
additional 274 MB of patches, wasting more time with the patch-installation than the rest).
- space-requirements of nearly 5 GB (approx. 12 times as much as webdb 2.2)
- i have to use internet directory, management server, enterprise manager - all products,
that i don't need for the rest of my daily business and that i'm not familiar with
(until now) -> requiring additional time to become familiar with. do you realy think, that the use of all
products in your portfolio makes it easier to handle (as stated in one of the white papers?)?
It seems, that you have lost the ground!
- saving my investments by a migration path? i can forget this - oracle support surrendered and tells
me, that there is something in the installation that prevents me from upgrading.
- the product portal seems to be very 'dynamic': if i don't want to lose support, i have to upgrade
to the next release nearly every three months (one of the most important phrases, heard by support-stuff:
"you have any problem? you should upgrade to the latest release first!")

Are you inside a corporate firewall? If so, make sure that you have access to cloud.acrobat.com
If the above is not the problem, can you try to disable Protected Mode [Edit | Preferences | Security (Enhanced)].

So heres my problem, i wont lie my z580 aint new one , its been guess already 2-3 years; well for the first year, remember being able to change uefi settings, but then it somehow was unchangeable; however i didnt think that it ll be an issue, i mean no big deal, at least not worthy to register in forums or contacting support center as m tooo lazy; well then 2-3 days ago i accidentally deleted windows 8 boot entry, and its not big deal as with cmd u can back it up, however i tried with shift + reboot automatic repair first as i knew if i turn pc off i wdnt be able to boot as no bios option available and thought automatic repair is guaranteed option however it turned out that automatic repair cdnt fix it and it made me reboot, and thats how i got stuck and not being able to change anything, whenever u boot it says bcd is missing, and only available option is esc=change uefi settings which ll just reboot and endless loop, i tried every combination keys to try to discover that bios key, nothing, and here is the problem even if i try to repair with windows 8 cd it wont boot it, it ll just keep saying bcd is missing as i cant prioritize cd rom over hdd; so after rampaging for 5 hours i discovered some new option, it turns out that novo button actually works but instead of pressing it when laptop is booting u have to press it while its turned off, and then 4 new menus but after trying them all i discovred that they dont function as well at least half of them , as bios setup and normal startup just tries to boot from hdd and loop again, and recovery and bios leads to one key recovery; then again after 654876123 times trying all of them, i got mad again and with choosing bios i rampaged on keyboard again and which lead me to advanced options, howcome ? simple, it turns out that after chosing bios u have 0.2 to press f8 or arow keys at least to access that option, else it ll automatically go to one key recovery; and 9 new option available ; and i tried every single of them again, 6 of them were useless same loop, 3 of them were safe mode (with cmd,with network) and i thought to myself i had solved it however 3 of them were literally same, i tried each one and only thing i got was blank desktop and cant use any commands (windows +r, alt + ctrl +del ), just had to wait, at least thats what my cursor said , so i obeyed but yet again another error which said unable to copy something like boot64.efi as partition is full, which surprised me as i had +100gb free space, but then there was browser option which was ridiculous as it said that i cd change source path (lol, source path rofl,not destination path, but source path of that file) but with browsing i discovered that it aint lying it somehow created some partition with 5mb size or something and it cdnt copy it lol so again i stuck, only thing i needed to fix my **bleep** was to be able to access cmd not even win 8 cd or boot option, so only solution was to go to technician and attach my hdd to another laptop just to be able to access to **bleep**ng cmd !!! and now i m trying every single thing to try to change uefi but m unable even with easyuefi, i mean is it normal ?

I am not sure why this works, or if it will work for your machine, but with my computer I read somwhere that this can be fixed by removing the battery with the machine off and plugged in. Now hold the power button for a bit (20-30sec?) unplug and continue to hold (20-30 again), still holding plug it back in and hold (same amount). Let 'er rip. When you remove your finger it should start up. So let it get going for a second and then put the battery back in.
I also read somwhere else that someone is able to fix this by simply holding the power button for a good while with no battery and no power cable.
From what I understand, the method I suggested is what is used to reset a router. It has something to do with flash having a tendency to hold its state, so an extra long 'reset hold' is needed. No idea if that applies in this case though. All I know is that my battery now charges to 100%, and when it sometimes borks when I change batteries, I can fix it this way.

Effect button crashes fcp x

hey , just installed fcp x 10.1.2 , when i click the effect button fcp x crashes and for next launches stuck at "restoring layout", i tried to reinstall but with no success , does anyone can help ? thx

I agree though.. Absolute no reason to convert to Opt. Media. Which is just one more degredation of image quality. Convert org to proxies and when exporting out... Use the originals.
First to try hit "Revert to original Layout" from the windows menu..... (DOnt think it will help but worth a shot)
I notice you state that you more than one monitor.... Final Cut Pro X --- suffers from severe erratic behavior when more than on is connected...
On my machine (Two monitors) -- 90% of the time FCPx keeps displaying the clip currently selected in the event library although I am in the timeline.... Also, when I click and select an effect in the inspector and hit delete (To delete the effect) FCPx will delete the clip on the which the effect is inserted. All those problems are not there on a single monitor setup... My partner has severe issues as well. If his main OS X Menu bar is on, say the right monitor (Two identical monitors) and he choose to show viewers on 2nd display. The content turns purple or green. If he moves the OS X Menu bar to the other display... no problem.. Etc etc etc... using multiple monitors with FCPx is quite an exciting exerience full of surprises all day ;-)))
In your case...
Try using ONE display only.. JUST to check if it still happens. And I mean.. Physically UNPLUG the 2nd display and reboot the Mac...
If THAT helps... Plug in the other monitor and and reboot Mac (You dont have to reboot, but I recommend that). Now goto system preferences and click displays... IN "Arrangement" drag the white OS X Menu bar to the other display... Other as in .... where it was NOT when the problem was occuring...
Now boot FCPx... and hit "Revert to original Layout" from the windows menu.....

That search bar is for searching your iPhone, not the App Store. Use the App Store app to search for, purchase and download apps.

Creating Cloud ruining our workflow?

I use to come to Adobe's forum for help. I would get in, do a quick search, find anwswers really fast, then get out and back to my workflow. That simple. I didn't even have to ask a question or open a discussion. Answers were abundant as Adobe and the user base knew their stuff so well.
But with the latest Creative Cloud clusterf... (sorry, I meant Charlie Foxtrot), we are wasting time as this new CC service is filled with bugs and I mean the 'in your face' kind.
Today, I was trying to find out why already installed updates were popping up again. Found a thread where not one, but two staff offered solutions that didn't work... at all. I wasn't impressed with this amateurish improvisation.
Adobe staff are champions when it comes to their desktop products. However, this cloud service is clearly beyond them. Adobe Creative Cloud rolled it out unfinished and full of surprises which turn out to be time consuming. This has been going on for months. We pay for that.
So, I humbly ask that Adobe pros request outside help to finish the job. Surely someone at DropBox or other cloud services can bring a much needed expertise to Adobe in this quest.

That's a really smart and simple solution. I do have a Creative Cloud membership, but I can't seem to find a way to download the original CC or CS6 in addition to CC2014. Is there a way to do that? I wouldn't mind going back and forth between the programs if it would solve this issue for now.

N70 & Vodafone Live

I've had my N70 for months now, watched TV, enjoyed the games, used the programs, put up with the slowness, etc. I've found it to be a quite nifty phone full of surprises (normally pleasant).
Suddenly three weeks ago Vodafone Live stopped working. It still asks me if I want to connect to the server, YES, then all there is is a white screen with a globe going round in the top bar until the connection times out. I've been in to the Vodafone shop where they said the phone has to be reset, but WHY??? Apparently they get two customers a week coming in with the same problem. Does anybody know what's up? I really don't want to be putting it in to the shop to be fixed, anybody know how to fix the problem?
