From buying guide as http://www.adobe.com/hk_zh/products/adobe-media-server-family/buying-guide-comparison.html, the AMS Standard Edition is unlimited in RTMP and HTTP.
However, from the white paper as http://www.adobe.com/content/dam/Adobe/en/products/ams/pdfs/ams5-intro-wp.pdf page 5, it did not mention any connection limit?
Will it assume also unlimited?

Yes. RTMP and HTTP are unlimited in Standard. Limits are on SIP and RTMFP

I've just read Oracle Berkeley DB Java Edition High Availability White Paper

In section "Time Consistency Policy" (Page 18) it is written:
"Setting a lag period that is too small, given the load and available hardware resources, could result in
frequent timeout exceptions and reduce a replica's availability for read operations. It could also increase
the latency associated with read requests, as the replica makes the read transaction wait so that it can
catch up in the replication stream."
Can you tell me why those read operations will not be taken by the master ?
Why will we have frequent timeout ?
Why should read transaction wait instead of being redirect to the master ?
Why should it reduce replica's availability for read operations ?

Use the color fill option - select the inserted .pdf and assign a fill color of white to it using the Color Fill Menu on the Toolbar or the Color Picker Palette.

We want to know exact part code details to procure 2 nos Sql 2008/2012 standard edition server to installed on "Window 2012 R2 Standard Edition, Factory installed, no media, 2 socket,2 VMs, No client" Server.
I have Access control system application (Main-Standby) on which we need Automatic database failover by using SQL Standard server. Application vendor has suggested us to procure 2 nos of Microsoft Sql 2008/2012 standard edition server.
If possible then please let me know exact part code details of Sql 2008 and 2012 standard edition server which doesn't have any issue to installed on above said server edition.

How to install device cals on Windows Server 2012 standard edition

Hello i have a windows server 2012 standard edition licence that i have taken on rent from an ISP.
i have created a domain controller on that.
By default only two users can use remote desktop to the server simultaneously.
My Requirement is 20 users can use remote desktop to the server at the same time.For that i have purchased 20 Delive CALs licences like volume licencing.
i have the licence number noted on the paper.
do i need to install remote desktop services first etc ?
Could anyone guide me step by step how can i install or configure so that 20 users can use remote desktop on the same time.

I would agree with others, you need to install Remote Desktop Services Client Access Licenses.
There are three methods by which you can install Remote Desktop Services client access licenses (RDS CALs) onto your license server:
• Install Remote Desktop Services Client Access Licenses Automatically
• Install Remote Desktop Services Client Access Licenses by Using a Web Browser
• Install Remote Desktop Services Client Access Licenses by Using the Telephone

What is the limit of database size in oracle 10g standard edition and standard edition one.. I see the white paper of oracle says that the limitation is 500 GB. This limitation is correct.? if correct then what happened after the limit..?

Hello Sorin. Two more questions, please:
1) what do you mean by "Also into Application server you need EE because only in this version you have control flow." ?
Is "control flow" "business process flow" new functionality ?
2) On the other hand, I don't think that BPC admin task is able to handle lite or full optimize without an Enterprise Edition Client.
But customer asks wether it is possible to install on application server
- SSIS standard edition for SSIS service
- SSRS standard edition for Reporting Services
- SQL client Enterprise Edition to let BPC admin task handle lite and full optimize properly.
Why all this ? Because Enterprise Edition costs ten times more than Standard Edition and in a multi-server configuration, customer has to buy several SQL Server licenses, one per server running at least one SQL server service. (For example, with SQL,SSIS and OLAP on one server, and SSIS and SSRS running on the application server, customer has to buy two SQL servers licenses).

Oracle Business Intelligence Standard Edition 1 download?

Hi,
Apologies in advance if this is a daft question but could someone point me in the direction of the download link for Oracle Business Intelligence Standard Edition 1 11G for Windows 64bit?
The white paper below dated 2010 eludes to there being an 11g version of this software but the download site only has 10g:

I downloaded the Enterprise edition 11g in the vain hope that the installer would have an option for installing standard edition 1, which it didn't.
This is a stupid problem to have but a problem nonetheless.

Am I correct in saying that the Simple Install is Standard Edition 1? It doesn't say that anywhere (unless I'm missing it).Simple install is like a standard installation, less input is required from you.

The Standard edition of DocumentsToGo does not allow creation of new documents. That feature comes with the Premium edtion.
The workaround is to email yourself a blank document, name it something such as "blank.doc" and save that to your BB. Then, for any new document, open that blank.doc, edit and SAVE AS, always keeping the blank.doc intact as a template.

We have SPLA aggrement with MS.
I know, can use two physical processors with Windows server 2012 Standard Edition.
If i am planning to install Windows server 2012 Standard Edition in a virtual environment, lets say it has four cores, then how many licenses we need to buy for this ? Is it like each core has been considered as an separate processor in virtual environment
for Windows server 2012 Standard Edition licensing ?

Pre-Sales: AMS Standard and 'videoSampleAccess'

I am about to purchase Adobe Media Server 5 Standard.
However, I need to know that the following will be possible:
In my Flash client swf, I need to use BitmapData.draw() on an RTMP stream. (I am projecting the video onto a 3D model)
If I attempt this with a stock version of AMS 5 Starter, I recieve the following error:
"No policy files granted access"
The solution appears to be altering main.asc with the following code:
client.videoSampleAccess = "\";
This solution works for me in AMS 5 Starter.
However, will I still be able to do this once I buy AMS 5 Standard?
The sales documentation states that AMS Standard does NOT support custom server side scripting.
Will I be able to project an RTMP video stream onto a 3D model if I buy AMS Standard?

These are the events reported just after the crash reboot.
The hardware is:
CPU: Intel Core i7 9xx (Nehalem Class Core i7) @ 3.2 GHz
RAM: 30 GB
Storage: Red Hat VirtIO SCSI Disk Device
I do not know what may cause these errors. I contacted the VPS vendor support and they told me that at the same server of my virtual machine there is another virtual machine which is running
smoothly, so according to them there is something with my vm. Please help me.

helpful. I expected the exact same sequence of calls to jdoPreClear
and jdoPostLoad on the 2nd and third iteration. In fact, since,
retain values is true, and no changes are being made, I expected that
jdoPreClear and jdoPostLoad would not be called at all on the 2nd and
3rd iteration.

Using 2.12 Beta, standard edition
Business method uses one PM. Configured to datastore transaction,
retainValues == true, non-TR == false, and non-TW == false.
The business methods open a transaction and leave it open.
The client calls commitTransaction() to close the open
transaction.
Two persistent objects, Widget and Box. Each implement
InstanceCallbacks and put out a message in jdoPreClear ("will be
made hollow") and in jdoPostLoad ("has been made persistent-clean").
The Widget has a reference to its Box. The number in parenthesis
is the sequence number obtained from the object ID.
