AMT Site crm5.0

hello,
Can anybody help me sith the setup of a AMT site on CRM 5.0
What are the needed subscriptions and are there any special settings on the pc we will be using for AMT maintenance?
Thanks
Wim

The PC does not need to have special subscriptions. The site just needs to be installed with the AMT application besides the MSA application on it. The only difference between the AMT pc and a standard client is that via the AMT application data can be written into tables, which are only read by the application
Hope this helps, Kai

  • AMT login

    Hello experts.
    I'm quite new with MSA and I have no idea how to login in to Authorization Management Tool. Are there specific User accounts created by default?
    I'm using 5.0 SP09 with MSDE 2000 SP4 on Mobile Client. Also the MDW is running on this machine.
    Can anyone help?
    Regards,
    Alexander

    Hi,
    the AMT application is quite similar to a "normal" replicating Mobile client like MSA/MSV or MSY. It reads/writes from/to the local IDES database. But additionally it also reads from the ARS_DB to define the roles for the Mobile users.
    First of all you need to create some additional mandatory roles within CRM (see notes 657434 and 687679) and subscribe the publications Authorization, Authorization1 and Authorization2 to all sites.
    Starting AMT is possible for all users which are subscribed for the AMT site unless the authorization is activated. In this case at least one user needs to be assigned to a particular admin role (see notes above). This prevents other unauthorized users to start AMT.
    Afterwards you need to create suitable roles, assign them to the mobile users and run conntrans to transfer the authorization data to CRM/CDB/other clients.
    Please note: Assigning roles to all users within AMT is only possible when all user subscriptions are assigned to this AMT site.

  • Giving Permission to Helpdesk so they can set users Primary Device (User Device Affinity)

    Hi,
    I am trying to give our helpdesk access so they can right click a computer object in the console and edit the Users Primary Device. They have the option to right click and select "Edit Primary Users", but when typing in Domain\Username it doesnt
    populate with any usernames?
    Its almost as though they dont have rights to search AD for the usersnames in our domain.
    I am full administrator so it works fine for me.
    I have set the following permissions for our helpdesk and thought this would be enough:
    Collection = Read, Modify, Remote Control, Modify Resource, Delete Resource, Read Resource, Modify Collection Setting, Control AMT
    Site = Read, Import Computers
    User Device Affinities = Read, Modify, Delete, Create, Run Report, Modify Report
    Helpdesk all have appropriate rights in AD so its definitely something within SCCM 2012 RBAC causing the issue, any ideas ?
    Note: I already have automatic UDA in place but it takes the agent a week to pick this up so need a manual of doing this too.
    Thanks

    RESOLVED
    I had to give them read permission to the All Users and Groups collection.
    I thought it might enumerate the list of users straight from AD, but it does this from the all users collection which makes sense.
    Cheers

  • Tiger OSX Driver for eMagic AMT-8 - AMT no longer seen in AudioMidi

    Can anyone here tell me where to find the driver for the AMT-8? It seems "missing" from the Apple and Emagic websites. AudioMidi is still not seeing the interface although "About this Mac" sees it just fine.
    Also, no driver for it in the Library like my other interfaces.
    All previous links to the driver are no longer valid.
    Thanks!

    That link to the Apple site I've looked at a hundred times. You know, if I look one more time MAYBE it will be there this time. The ONLY one I've seen on there that is close is the Unitor Command software, but that's not quite it. Is it hiding in one of the other 3 folders and I'm just too blind to see it?
    If you can email it to me that would be great. Just use the: "[email protected]" address so that I can grab it on the road easier.
    Thanks Much!

  • Problem with Out of Band Discovery resulting with Out of Band features not available in SCCM console for computers with provisioned AMT device

    Hi,
    We configured the Out of Band component, but are using Intel SCS RCS to provision AMT devices remotely. The remote configuration process with Intel SCS works fine; we are able to connect to the AMT web UI and we can use a free KVM tool to manage the computer
    remotely.
    The AMT devices are configured with AD integration, so an object is created for each of them in a specific OU. Also, an AD group is added to the AMT devices so remote PT Administration permission is granted to it. This group includes the ConfigMgr Site
    Server account, the account of the server running the Out of Band Service Point and my own user account.
    This configuration seems OK since when connecting to the AMT web UI, I use Windows Integrated authentication with my user account and can manage the device successfully.
    So the only step remaining is running the OOB discovery to enable Out of Band features for the computers in the SCCM console. We want to use the ConfigMgr OOB console. I right-click a computer or a collection and launch the AMT discovery. I check the OOB
    server log, I don't see errors; the OOB service point connects to the AMT device and discover a status of 4, which is Externally provisioned, as expected. The problem is the AMT Status, AMT Version and Provisioned AMT fields for the computer in the ConfigMgr
    console doesn't get updated, even after doing display refresh.

    Thank you

    I found something interesting on this problem, it seems the OOB discovery process is working fine, but for an unknown reason, the site server is not receiving the information from the OOB Service Point to update the AMT Status of the client in the SCCM
    database.
    The log tells me that a DDR file is created to be sent to the site server. When looking into the SMS\MP\Outboxes\ddr.box folder, I see about 50 DDR files, the oldest one is dated when I started testing OOB discovery.
    So the server is unable to send the files to the site server.
    Also, since I started this thread, I noticed another issue that could be related to this problem. The same server is also holding the State Migration Point role, it is working fine, but when doing USMT operations, the status of the computer association is
    not updated in the console (In Progress, Completed, missing USMT store path, etc.). When looking into the SMS folder on the server, I see a big backlog of SVF files containing information related to the SMP.
    I looked into the log files, but didn't find the errors yet to explain this.
    The computer account of the server is a member of the SMS_SiteSystemToSiteServerConnection_Stat_XXX group on the site server.
    Note that status messages are being sent successfully, I see them in the Monitoring node of the console under Component State, and there is no backlog in the SMS\MP\Outboxes\statemsg.box folder.
    Tnx for your help
    Patrick

  • How to send data to another site, get response, redirect and get new response

    Dear all,
    I've to write a Java EE application that have to become an interface to a payment platform. The protocol require to send a POST string containing some information (including an error and response page) to an external host, get the response and redirect the user to another host using the previous response. When the user ends the transaction the host redirect the user to my error or response page.
    For the moment my user access to my application using glassfish REALM authentication. After that I write the following code:
    public void paymentPrepare() throws UnsupportedEncodingException, IOException {
       String postUrl = "https://test.payment.test/init/http";
       HttpPost postRequest = new HttpPost(postUrl);
       String id = "99999999";
       String password = "99999999";
       String action = "4";
       String amt = "1.00";
       String currencycode = "978";
       String langid = "ENG";
       String responseurl = "http://myhost:8080/EMBOWorkshop/secure/response.xhtml";
       String errorurl = "http://myhost:8080/EMBOWorkshop/secure/error.xhtml";
      trackid = "TRCK0001";
      udf1 = "Descrizione";
       StringEntity postParamsEntity = new StringEntity("id=" + id
       + "&password=" + password
       + "&action=" + action
       + "&amt=" + amt
       + "&currencycode=" + currencycode
       + "&langid=" + langid
       + "&responseurl=" + responseurl
       + "&errorurl" + errorurl
       + "&trackid" + trackid
       + "&udf1" + udf1);
      postParamsEntity.setContentType("application/x-www-form-urlencoded");
      postRequest.setEntity(postParamsEntity);
       DefaultHttpClient httpClient = new DefaultHttpClient();
       // Execute the HTTP POST
       System.out.println("Executing HTTP Post...\n");
       HttpResponse response = httpClient.execute(postRequest);
       // Check the HTTP status of the post.
       if (response.getStatusLine().getStatusCode() != 200 && response.getStatusLine().getStatusCode() != 201) {
       throw new RuntimeException("Failed: HTTP error code: "
       + response.getStatusLine().getStatusCode());
       // Create a reader to read in the HTTP post results.
       BufferedReader br = new BufferedReader(
       new InputStreamReader((response.getEntity().getContent())));
       // Read in all of the post results into a String.
       String output = "";
       Boolean keepGoing = true;
       while (keepGoing) {
       String currentLine = br.readLine();
       if (currentLine ==
    null) {
      keepGoing = false;
       } else {
      output += currentLine;
       System.out.println("Raw string result: \n" + output);
    The previous code works fine. I receive the response. But now I don't know how to continue. How can redirect the user to another site, and when the payment is finished, receive the response? Another question is, the user authenticate himself to access to the application. When the user will redirect to an external site, the glassfish session permits to get the response from the other host without require a new authentication?
    For the moment I don't know how to redirect the user, but I tried to write this method to obtain the last response:
      public void getResponse(HttpServletRequest request, HttpServletResponse response) {
      paymentId = request.getParameter("paymentid");
      result = request.getParameter("result");
      auth = request.getParameter("auth");
       ref = request.getParameter("ref");
      traind = request.getParameter("tranid");
      trackid = request.getParameter("trackid");
      udf1 = request.getParameter("udf1");
      responsecode = request.getParameter("responsecode");
    Is it correct?
    Thanks

    Now I'm able to redirect the user to the other page:
    ExternalContext externalContext = FacesContext.getCurrentInstance().getExternalContext();
    externalContext.redirect("http://stackoverflow.com");
    Now the problem is: once the user has finished to pay, the other site redirect the user to my site using one of the two JSF page I prepared for error or response like the following:
    <?xml version='1.0' encoding='UTF-8' ?>
    <!DOCTYPE composition PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">
    <ui:composition xmlns:ui="http://java.sun.com/jsf/facelets"
                    template="./index.xhtml"
                    xmlns:h="http://java.sun.com/jsf/html"
                    xmlns:f="http://java.sun.com/jsf/core"
                    xmlns:rich="http://richfaces.org/rich"
                    xmlns:a4j="http://richfaces.org/a4j"
                    xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"
                    xmlns:fn="http://java.sun.com/jsp/jstl/functions"
                    >
        <ui:define name="content">
            <center>
               An error occurred during  transaction
                #{participantBean.auth}<br />
                #{participantBean.responsecode}
            </center>
      </ui:define>
    </ui:composition>
    So, how can I get the GET parameters that the other host sent to me during the redirection?

  • AMT 3.2.10 Clients with SCCM 2012 on Windows 2012

    Hey
    I have a couple of HP dc7800 computers with Intel's AMT/vPro that I'd like to provision with SCCM 2012. The installed firmware version is 3.2.10 which is a supported version according to the documentation [1]. Provisioning of newer clients (5.2.x upwards)
    is successful, so I can rule out all the usual suspects like the provisioning certificate from GoDaddy, our internal CA, DHCP options, etc. Provisioning with SCCM 2007 of both 3.2.x and 5.x AMT devices is also still successful.
    The amtopmgr.log repeatedly shows the following entries:
    Provision target is indicated with SMS resource id. (MachineId = 16777325 WS45.mydomain.ch)
    Found valid basic machine property for machine id = 16777325.
    Warning: Currently we don't support mutual auth. Change to TLS server auth mode.
    The provision mode for device WS45.mydomain.ch is 1.
    The IP addresses of the host WS45.mydomain.ch are x.x.x.x.
    Root hash of provisioning certificate is 2796BAE63F1801E277261BA0D77770028F20EEE4.

    Fail to connect and get core version of machine WS45.mydomain.ch using default factory account.
    Try to use provisioned account (random generated password) to connect target machine WS45.mydomain.ch...
    Error 0x80090304 returned by InitializeSecurityContext during follow up TLS handshaking with server.
    **** Error 0x37f2b370 returned by ApplyControlToken
    Fail to connect and get core version of machine WS45.mydomain.ch using provisioned account (random generated password).
    Error: Device internal error. This may be caused by: 1. blabla...
    Error: Can NOT establish connection with target device. (MachineId = 16777325)
    After some investigation with Wireshark, I've found out that SCCM tries connect with TLSv1 to the AMT device. The response from the device is immediately an SSL alert (internal error). Using OpenSSL, I could connect to the device if I explicitly told it
    to use SSLv3. This leads me to believe that the 3.2.x firmware cannot handle TLSv1 correctly and SCCM never tries to connect with SSLv3 after a failure.
    So the question is: How can I get SCCM 2012 to provision these devices?
    Regards,
    Ingo

  • AMT - device in 'detected' status

    Hello everyone,
    I'm trying to get Out of Band working, and the one machine that I'm testing for this purpose seems to be stuck at 'detected' status. I gone over the configuration steps twice, but I can't seem to pinpoint what I've missed.
    Here's the log from amtopmgr.log file (this portion of the log is when I perform a "Discover AMT Status" task.
    Being my first time trying to get Out of Band working, I really don't know where to start my troubleshooting efforts here.

    I made some changes on the desktop end - changed the MBEx password from 'admin' (which it was giving me errors as well), to my own password. I added this new user/password to SCCM, MEBx account configuration. I ran another 'Discover AMT Status' on the device;
    I review the logs (got the same errors as mentioned above), but this time I went to check the MBEx settings and I actually found some information in it that must have been setup by SCCM (see screenshot).
    That was my only change to the desktop (just a password change).

  • T61p + Windows 7 64bit + Intel AMT Drivers.

    Hi all,
    I've recently installed Windows 7 x64 on my T61p (6459-CTO). I've installed the drivers and all the devices and running fine except two:
    PCI Serial Port
    PCI Simple Communications Controller
    After a failing to find drivers for these, I googled the issue and found that it is quite likely related to Intel AMT. So I've searched for the Windows 7 drivers for Intel AMT for my laptop but I can't see any.
    I've installed and run Lenovo System Update v4 and it hasn't picked it up although the Lenovo ThinkVantage Toolbox Diagnotics does alert that the drivers are missing for the 2 devices. However, it too doesn't show where to get them from.
    There seem to be a lot of posts for this issue for the T400/T500 models but nothing for the T61p.
    Any help would be appreciated!
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    I experienced the same issue, and here is my resolution for my t61p running windows 7 x64:
    download the 2 AMT drivers from the lenovo driver site:
    Local Manageability Service and Serial Over LAN (Intel AMT 2.6)
    Windows Vista, XP
    http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/document.do?lndocid=MIGR-67881
    Management Engine Interface (Intel AMT 2.6)
    Windows Vista, XP
    http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/document.do?lndocid=MIGR-67880
    Let the files extract to their folders (using the downloaded exe files) (C:\drivers\win\amt and \amtsol)
    for the PCI Serial Port, tell the update driver wizard to look in c:\drivers\win\amtsol
    for the PCI Simple Communications Controller tell it to look in c:\drivers\win\amt
    this should locate the missing drivers for you.

    Is their a simple way to re-provision computer from Detected status.
    I tried run Discover AMT status on client in Manage Out of band.
    Could you please advise steps to provision computers in AMT and any logs I can check

    Thanks Peter for replying quickly..
    I have followed this and verified all security settings and permissions.
    I can access Manage Out of Band>Power Control and Power On/Off and restart pc
    But Out of Band Manager Console doesn't work.
    Under Tools> Serial over LAN connection is greyed out.
    Status at botom shows: System: Disconnected, IDE-Re-direct and Serial Connection: Inactive
    I have tried Tools>Options> connecting using PC ANSI and VT-100
    I checked oobmgmt.log on various client machines and got following error
    CAMTProvisionEndpoint::GetProvisionSettings: GetObject() failed: 80041002
    !! AutoProvision policy disabled.
    END

    CAMTProvisionEndpoint::GetProvisionSettings: GetObject() failed: 80041002
    For Device Collection I have Provisioning for AMT-based computers checked on Out of band management
    Advise please..

  • Intel vPRO / AMT processor detection using SCCM.

    Hi All,
    I have an Intel consultant hopefully visiting me soon to discuss the benefits of activiating Vpro/AMT/OOB management in my infrastucture.
    At the moment i have not got  PKI linked in with SCCM, but its on its way as soon the team responsible have some time.
    Anyway, the consultant has asked me to gather a report using SCCM of all the vPRO Cpus that we have, Model Numbers  and AMT versions..... Now ive been looking at this for a couple hours and i cant see how i can easily create sucha report or even if
    its possible.. multiple reports perhaps and it wont be a quick task seeing as my skills at creating custom reports are extremely minimal.
    I have managed to create collections put even though the ';AMT Version' column is visbile it does not get populated.
    I have seen elsewhere that in order to accomplish this i should have OOB Role installed?  can this role be installed without PKI ?
    There is a tool that intel have that can be distributed via sccm and can be used to query systems for their AMT details, but our infrastucture is too complex and seperated for this:
    https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&DwnldID=21144&keyword=%22SCS%22&lang=eng
    Many thanks in advance for any help...

    Since no one has answer this post, I recommend opening  a support case with CSS as they can work with you to solve this problem.

  • T400 AMT/Fingerprint (Predesktop Authentication)/BIOS problem

    I have a T400 7417CTO.
    When I received the machine in March 2009, I enabled the Predesktop Authentication with the fingerprint reader and set a power on password (which I have not forgotten).
    Lately I enabled Intel AMT through the BIOS and provisioned it. I suspect AMT has set a supervisor password on the BIOS without me knowing?
    Today I tried changing some settings in the BIOS. It would not allow me to do so as there was a Supervisor password apparently set (which I do not recall setting). I then pulled the backup battery out (reset power on password).
    I then turn on the machine, and the fingerprint prompt comes up as usual after the POST screen.  However a password prompt now comes up after a successful fingerprint verification. I try all of the passwords that I know and none of these work. The password prompt has the third icon on this page (which is supposedly a power on password prompt) http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/document.do?lndocid=MIGR-59377 -- MIGR-59377.
    I now cannot get into the BIOS, Intel ME Configuration or even boot up.
    Would there be a way of rescuing the system, or is my system board bricked for sure?

    Hello hubertlam,
    maybe it´s the normal AMT password you need.
    That´s "admin" if it's in the first time mode. source: Intel
