Amua: Last.FM playing through iTunes

I wanted to stream Last.FM using iTunes so I could share it with my network using airport express attached to my remote speakers. A short search turned up this free app called Amua.
A quick download and install and it's working perfectly. Songs streaming using iTunes and small icon appears in the status bar. Click on icon and you get a drop down menu that allows you to set up and control your Last.FM account. I had to set up a Last.fm account and enter my user id and password and off it went. I am amazed at how well this tiny app works.
Anyone had any experience with this issue and solution?

I'm sorry if I used this posting incorrectly but as I searched for a solution for this issue I didn't find anything relevant in Apple discussions. I always feel better if I see something posted here because I feel it has been viewed by apple users and usually reflects their good judgement.
So I am asking for feedback that, if it supports my experience; someone looking for this solution will find it in Apple discussions.
Perhaps I should have asked, " has anyone had any experience with Amua and how do you like it"?

This is normal.
To be able to play any audio source on your MacBook Pro, you might want to take a look at an application like Airfoil. More info below:

Playback only works while playing through iTunes

My iPod Classic 5th generation (30gb) works and plays fine while playing music through itunes when the iPod has "manage music and videos" is checked. Any other time when the iPod is not connected to the computer, through headphones or on a dock connector iHome, there is no sound. The songs look to play normally with second bar moving along as normal but no sound is produced.
Any ideas?

I have this exact same problem. My 5th Generation 30gb iPod won't play through headphones or my cars auxillary jack anymore; it only plays through iTunes when it's plugged up to my computer. This literally happend overnight and I have no idea how to correct it. Any help please?

ok after another hour of playing around i might have half solved this...I turned match off via my account within the store which didn't seem to work properly, but then found another option to "turn off" via the store dropdown in the menu bar which does seem to have worked on my mac (but not yet on my iphone so still need to figure this out). Now I have turned it off on my mac it seems to offer me the option to buy it again - but as i've already paid for the year I don't know if there is the option to turn on again if I choose to later?

Saving DVD on an external hard drive to play through iTunes/apple TV

I have saved a couple of DVDs directly in my iTunes folders and can play them through iTunes and my Apple TV but I would like to save all of my DVD collection onto an external hard drive because of a large file sizes and then play them through iTunes and Apple TV as well, I'm unsure how this will work on a

Thanks for your reply, but is this not the same method for when when you buy a CD, you import a CD into iTunes and then play it through your IOS devices, is it not the same for DVD's?
I image at some point in the future Apple will have a version of itunes match for films.

Is there a way to keep the songs you play through iTunes Match automatically?

Is there an option to automatically download the current song thats being played on iTunes (using iTunes Match)?
I don't understand why there wouldn't be this option, considering the entire song has to be streamed anyway surely it would make sense to have an option to keep the streamed file automatically?

Sustained notes played through iTunes waver in frequency-sounds sick

I up-loaded all my CDs to iTunes on my previous Mac (G4 iMac with the hemispherical base) and downloaded them to my 3 iPods. After that I upgraded to the G5 Intel Mac. Now, some songs with sustained notes played directly from the G4 waver in frequency sounding sickly. If I play or up-load one of the original CDs to the G5, it, too, sounds sick. These same songs on my 3 iPods still sound okay even though they’ve been synced to the new G5. I downloaded my library to the new iPod touch and the affected songs sound OK. What’s the problem? Have other people had this same problem?

Sure sounds like a problem with the audio circuit in the Mac Mini.
The speakers you are using are they powered? Is there an amp involved in the setup? I'm not familiar with the particular model of Mac Mini, does the audio jack double as a TosLink connector (digital audio) as it does in later years models? If so and you external setup has the capability you could try going digital to see if that helps.
Finally if all else fails you could go with a USB to analog audio converter such as Amazon.com: Digital to Analog Audio Converter with USB ... for example (note I have no personal experience with that unit just throwing it out as one possibility).

Music Not Playing Through iTunes (Windows 7)

Good Day Folks!
For about the 20th time, I have turned on my external hard drive and iTunes and none of my music will play. The speakers are working just fine. However, when I select a song to play literally nothing happens.
I searched online for answers and checked the wired and all the control panel suggestions that have been made...still nothing.
Can anyone assist? This is getting annoying and tiring.

Have you tried using any other headphones?
Or maybe try plugging your headphones into another device to see if they work.
Because it could be the headphones not working.

Why am i unable to get music from hard drive to play through itunes?

my music is stored on my external hard drive. after doing the lastest update of itunes and putting my music on to a new hard drive. (was on a lacie, now is on the maxtor one touch II) i am now unable to access my music. i have set the advanced preferences to the music folder on the external hard drive and have hit consolidate library under the advanced tab in itunes. neither of these seem to work.
i have put the new library files into the music folder on my hard drive as well.
how can i get my music read by itunes?

To move your Music folder, use these instructions:
iTunes: Moving your iTunes Music folder.
If you can restore the old situation, start from there.
The 'iTunes Music folder location' is not the folder where your music is, but the folder where your imported and added music is stored.
The 'iTunes Library' file contains the links to the individual songs.
Moving the songs, without 'telling' iTunes, looses the links.
You must not move the library files. They have to be on your startup disk.

I cannot get an online radio station to play through iTunes!

Help! My iTunes won't let me connect to an online webpage streaming audio. They do not have an exact url for me to post in the Open Audio Stream Box.
I upgraded to 9.2, today, but the problem started yesterday before and still won't open.

Can't Sort music on iPhone played through iTunes

I plug my iPhone into my work computer to listen to music that is only on my iPhone, but I can't sort the music in iTunes [Devices > iPhone > Music]. It's all listed alphabetically by song title. My regular iTunes Library can be sorted but I can't sort my iPhone playlists or anything.

That is how it's supposed to work when you aren't at the computer that music was synced from.

I love my airport express. I use it only for sending music into the kids playroom. I want to send music playing youtube and npr radio stations but airport express only plays through itunes. What software would allow me to broadcast other audio into my kids playroom? Thanks for your help.

Distorted songs playing through latest version of iTunes

I recently upgrade to 12.1.0.71 Itunes (OSWindows 8) and now the songs playing through iTunes are distorted... I have tested all other music on my computer through WMP and that comes through perfect..any clues to how to fix...was fine before this recent upgrade...

This version of iTunes 12.1:
iTunes 12.1 for Windows (64-bit — for older video cards)
seems to address the playback issues that some users have been reporting with the full 64-bit version (the installer here is the same architecture as most previous "64-bit" versions of iTunes, i.e., a 32-bit application with a 64-bit installer). The "for older video cards" does not seem to fully define the scope of systems for which this alternative works better.
