Welcome to the Support Communities! Here are some steps you can try if you keep getting asked to authorize your MacBook for iTunes:

If you authorize your computer to play your iTunes Store purchases, but you can't play them and iTunes keeps prompting you to authorize, try these suggestions.
Authorize your purchases from an administrator account
To authorize your purchases from an administrator account, follow these steps:
Log in to the administrator account.
Note: If you don't have access to an administrator password, you'll need to contact the administrator of this computer. If this is a work computer, this may be your IT department.
Make sure you have the latest version of iTunes installed. You can download the latest version free.
Choose Store > Authorize Computer.
Enter your iTunes account name and password.
Note: If you have multiple accounts, you'll need to log in to the iTunes Store and authorize each account separately.
Quit iTunes.
After you've authorized your computer on your administrator account, you'll need to log out and log back in to the user account you'd like to play your purchases from. Once you're logged back in, simply open iTunes, select an iTunes Store purchase in your library, and click Play. The item should begin to play.Authorize using the correct account name
The items you're trying to play might have been purchased using a different iTunes Store account. To determine which account was used to purchase an item, follow these steps:
Select a purchased song in your library and choose File > Get Info.

Note: The account name that appears is the one you used when purchasing the item and does not change if the account name (Apple ID) changes.

Quit iTunes and any other open applications until only Finder is open.

Our household has two IPhones, two IPod Touches, 1 IPad and 1 computer. we want to have it all under the same Apple ID for the purpose of Home Sharing, but my two kids iPODs cannot use their facetime or messaging becuase it shows they are on my iphone.

When I do this they cannot send me messages or facetime me, and when then try to do so with their friends it says my name and IPhone. Also, my husband and I want two seperate credit cards for iTUNEs but want to take advantage of the home share, but the one computer we have will not let us share. and had to have 2 apple ids created. WHy is this so confusing? Cant I reset everything under my Apple ID, and allow everyone to have their own email accounts and identity? If any of you are like me, I had one single AppleID under MobileMe. Under my AppleID I had two additional Email addresses, one for my wife and one for her Mother. Each used their individual email accounts on their login on the home Mac and on their individual Iphones.
In order for them to not lose their email acounts when mobileMe goes away and/or you move your appleID acount from MobileMe to iCloud, you simply need to beaware of the folowing. Have each person with an email address under your AppleID MobileMe go to www.me.com; enter their email account and password in the corresponding fields. However, don't press the login button. Instead press the sentence under the login fields that says something to the effect of "do you want to move/migrate to iCloud. Follow the prompts from there.
In essence what Apple has done--albeit not communicated anywhere--is that they automatically created AppleIDs for each of those additonal email addresses you have/had under MobileMe. Therefore, use that email and password after moving from MobileMe to iCloud and your good to go.

There should be no issues. Its designed to work like that. You don't change Apple IDs just because you get a new device.

If you buy an App, you have 2 ways to get it to the iPhone6: If Automatic Downloads is enabled in Settings->iTunes & App Store, it will automatically download to the iPhone 6 when you buy it on the 5 and vice versa if you buy it on the 6, it will download to the 5.
Alternatively, you can simply go to the App Store App->Updates->Purchased and look for the App there and download it. Purchased Apps will not require payment again. i.e They'll be free to download to the iPhone 6 once purchased.
SMS Messages will sync over using Continuity as long as they are on the same Wifi network. Otherwise, restoring the iPhone 5 backup to the iPhone 6 will transfer all messages received up until the backup was made onto the iPhone 6.

If you want the Continuity features as explained above you need to update the iPhone 5 to iOS 8. Otherwise its not all that important.

As long as you're logged into the same AppleID on both devices, this is not a problem. It's only a problem if you're logged into a different AppleID and then try to associate FaceTime with an email that tied to the other AppleID.

Well, if it's that annoying to you, I'd go to the nearest apple store, but before you do, you should make reservation to see the genius there. I'm sure they will help you. Just show them where the stuck pixel(s) are.
But honestly, though I don't want to be a downer here, but even if you get it replaced, the possibility that you might get more stuck pixels when you get a new one. But of course, you can also be lucky that you can get a perfect one too. Usually stuck pixels should fix it self (not all the time tho).

I might add it makes for some pretty interesting conversations. On the iPad:
Settings > Messages > Send & Receive > Uncheck your phone number from both sections
To turn it off completely:
Settings > Messages > turn off iMessage

HT204053 I have 5 apple devices (3 iPads and 1 iPhone 3 and 1 iPhone 4s). They are all registered to the same Apple ID but used by different people in my family. If one of us gets a new ID, does that mean we can't access purchases already made?

Help appreciated.... Bascially 2 of the devices (an IPad and the iPhone 3) are used by me and the others by my wife, son and daughter. They all sync to the same iTunes library so I am thinking that if the other 3 get their own apple IDs, they will not be able to access the existing library.
Please note that though a fan of apple stuff, I am utterely useless at using them so I am sorry if my question is naieve or ill informed!

You can all have independent AppleIDs for iCloud or iMessage etc, but share the same one for iTunes Store / AppStore purchases.

We have 150 iPads at our school. What effective ways have you found to update and download new apps to such a large number of iPads? Can I download different apps to different sub sets of our large group - or must they all have the same apps?

At our elementary school, our 150 iPads are separated into 5 subsets. Can I download different apps to each subset, or must they all have the same apps since they all share the same Apple ID. Some iPads are for grades k-2, and some are for 3-5. I'd like to have the best apps for the different grade levels on the iPads. Currently we have "iPad Carts" to house our iPads in, and could use them to upload and update apps all at once, but don't utilize this function as we have a custom set up for the iPads that is erased each time we update through the carts.

You can configure different set of apps for different groups of ipads.
You need an mdm to do this.

I've authorized my iPhone on a Mac but when I go to play videos it asks for authorization again, only to tell me that I have authorized too many computers. Help!

So I used my work Mac to authorize my iPhone so I can play music, but now that I want to play a movie it asks for authorization. I've already authorized that account! I don't understand why it's asking for authorization again when I want to play a movie. Authorization does not apply to iphones. Authorization is for computers.
