An app reflects installed but no icon, how do I find it.

I installed iBooks but there is not an icon. The app appears in my settings and in the app store as installed. What do I do now to find or be able to reinstall.

Other people have had the same problem with the iBooks app not appearing, and after doing a reset it has usually appeared : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

Press your home button, then scroll the home screen all the way over to the right. I found all my purchased apps were moved to a different home screen. Might be a similar issue.. let us know what you found out!!

HELP GUYS.. App world installed but icon missing

Hi .. plz plz plz give me a solution.. i have a bb torch 9800.. i got a app world upgrade msg .. after the upgrade.. i can't find the app world icon.. though it installed on my phone.. the icon is no where to be found. I tried deleting and re-installing but the icon doesn't appear.. HELP .. i am going insane .. its soo frustrating.

Try this -
When you device is POWERED ON, remove the battery for a minute, and then reinsert the battery. This make a reboot to your device which resolves minor issues with the BlackBerry device.
If doing above doesn't resolve the issue then follow the be knowledge base articles instruction:

Repeating your question in the post doesn't fully explain what the problem is. Are you saying that you installed the game and it is trying to install again?
Without knowing anymore than why you have posted ..... try rebooting the iPad and see if the installing resumes, the download disappears .....

No app is required.
- If you previously turned on FIndMyiPod on the iPod in Settings>iCloud and wifi is on and connected go to iCloud: Find My iPhone, sign in and go to FIndMyiPhone. If the iPod has been restored it will never show up.
- You can also wipe/erase the iPod and have the iPod play a sound via iCloud.
- If not shown, then you will have to use the old fashioned way, like if you lost a wallet or purse.
- Change the passwords for all accounts used on the iPod and report to police
- There is no way to prevent someone from restoring the iPod (it erases it) using it.

Those sites take a long time to load for me (almost a minute)
Reload web page(s) and bypass the cache.
*Press and hold Shift and left-click the Reload button.
*Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
*Press "Cmd + Shift + R" (MAC)
Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.
"Clear the Cache":
*Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
*Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

Kindle app installed but no icon

Hi everybody -- I just got my iPad 2 the other day, and rushed to download the Kindle app. The app store notes that the app has been installed, but I can't find the icon on the screen (I did scroll over and look at the second page of icons, but it's not there either). Any ideas? I'd be happy to uninstall and reinstall, but since I can't find the icon, I don't know what to do next.

My Dolphin Browser app is "installed" but I cannot, suddenly, find the icon to use it.

I recently went into General Settings and set the stasis to white-on-black. I returned to the home page to find everything in negative colors, along with all of the icons rearranged. I quickly reverted back to black-on-white, only to have to manually recreate my screens to their past setup (moving icons). On the bottom fixed panel I had always kept my Dolphin Browser app: it was gone.
I searched thru my apps & thought, somehow it must have been deleted. I did a searc, nope. I tried App Store, it claimed "Installed!" I checked in settings, I can see its got it's files on my iPod touch 4 gen. But, the icon is NOT visible.
Any ideas??

Interesting problem.
Did you try spotlight search? (slide to the left of your home screen)
If you have iOS6, you could go to Settings > General > Usage and view/delete the app and then go reinstall it. But it looks like you have iOS5.
You can also got to Settings > General > Reset and select "Reset Home Screen Layout".
I'm assuming that will dump all your default icons all back to thier default locations and your downloaded apps all layed out. You can give it a try.
You might also be able to uncheck the app in iTunes and sync, then check it again and resync.

If you tap that open spot does the app run?

First, from the App Store menu bar top of your screen click Store > Check for Unfinished Downloads
If that didn't help, try re downloading the app.
How to re download apps from the Mac App Store:
Open the App Store. From the menu bar click Store > Sign In
Click Purchases from the top of the App Store window.
Select which apps you want to re download. Then right or control click where you see Installed then click Install.
Make sure and use the same Apple ID used for the original purchase.

There is a limit of 11 homepages after which apps are only accessible via the iPad's spotlight search screen (swipe your first homescreen to the right) - if you do have 11 screen then you can make more apps 'visible' by using app folders.
If you have less than 11 screens, then have you got an app age rating set in Settings > General > Restrictions that is hiding them ?

Creative Cloud Says App is installed but it is not

I have Windows 7 and installed Creative Cloud and wanted to use Photoshop. When I launch Creative Clod it says Photoshop is installed and up to date. But cannot see Photoshop anywhere on my computer. I have a Windows 7, any suggestions? I have restarted, unistalled and reinstalled, same thing.

There is a latest update Lightroom 5.7.1, hence Creative Cloud App showing install option for Lightroom.
You may click on install and it will install 5.7.1 update

TS1702 Apps show installed but are not

When I look at APPS already purchased on my ipod touch some of them have the cloud grayed out and also show installed even though they are not on my iPod touch. They are available on my iPhone but not on the IPod touch. If I select the APP anyway "install" is also grayed out.

Are they hidden by Restrictions? Go to Settings>General>Settings and check.
