An arbitrary selection of piano keys are muted. Please help.
Dear All,
My problem is this: When I play midi instruments on my piano, a random set of keys are suddenly muted.
I use Logic Pro 9, and I'm a rookie. Hence, I'm not sure whether this is a bug or merely some extremely weird adjustment I've managed to do. I've checked the piano roll (it works splendidly); I've checked the mute tool; I've tried opening a new project; I've tried "reset all media regions"; I've tried restarting the program; I've tried restarting the computer. Nothing works.
Perhaps I missed something, but I don't know what that would be. This I know: All keys sound on Digital Performer; and after I've restarded Logic, all keys sound - for a few seconds. Then quiet.
After my first two restarts, I received a window, asking me to reset all media regions (which I did to no avail). Perhaps this window identified the error, but it won't come up any longer, so I can't quote the whole thing.
If anyone has any clue, please help me. I'm quite desperate.

Can not select from my own MV. Please help.

I have created a MV with following clauses
CREATE or REPLACE MATERIALIZED VIEW "OWNER_NAME1"."MV_Name1"
BUILD IMMEDIATE
USING INDEX
REFRESH COMPLETE
AS
SELECT column1, column2 .... from table1,table2
where .....
I have logged in to DB with the 'owner_name1' schema itself which is the owner of the MV.
But, when I try to select from the above MV. It gives error "Ora-00942 table or view does not exist"
I can see the same under 'user_objects' view as an object of owner_name1 schema.
Could you please help me in understanding where I have gone wrong?
DB - Oracle 9i on unix platform.

Abhijit.Oh! I missed to mention the exact steps followed by me which created error for me,
viz.
1) I have 2 Database and their users as follows
bq. i) DB1 in local server - 'localUser'
bq. ii) DB2 in remote server - 'RemoteUser1' and 'RemoteUser2'
2) 'RemoteUser2' user in DB2 has 'select' privilage on table 'RemoteTable1' of 'RemoteUser1' ( both are remote DB's users ! )
i.e. select * from RemoteUser1.RemoteTable1; --works okay when logged into RemoteUser2. no synonyms are created hence using schema_name.table_name convention.
3) Logged in to 'localUser' in DB1.
4) Created a DB link 'local_to_remote2' in 'localUser' schema ( in DB1) to 'RemoteUser2' schema (in DB2)
i.e.
create database link local_to_remote2 connect to RemoteUser2 identified by password using 'connection_string';
DBLink was created successfully.
5) I could select from the tables of 'RemoteUser2' using DB Link. (by logging in to 'localUser')
i.e. select * from RemoteUser1.RemoteTable1@local_to_remote2 ; --- gives me expected output. no issues!
6) Now, I created below MV in 'localUser' ( no need to tell in 'DB1' )
the exact syntax I used is as follows,
CREATE or REPLACE MATERIALIZED VIEW "localUser"."MV_Name1"
BUILD IMMEDIATE
USING INDEX
REFRESH COMPLETE
AS
SELECT column1, column2
From RemoteUser1.RemoteTable1@local_to_remote2
where condition1
and condition2;
The MV was created successfully, and I could see it as an 'Valid' object of 'localUser' schema.
i.e. select * from user_objects where object_name ='MV_NAME1' and status ='VALID' --- tells that above create MV is an object of owner 'localUser'
But, when I try to select from the said MV. it gives me error "Ora-00942 table or view does not exist"
i.e. select * from MV_Name1; ---- neither this
select * from localUser.MV_Name1; ---- nor this works :(
Even when I try to drop the same MV it gives me same error. :(
Could you please suggest me anything so that I will be able to select from MY OWN MV ?

My Apple TV 1st gen will now no longer play any of our iTunes music, although it shows a speaker symbol when you select play on the track. Please help?
Are you streaming or syncing you music? Sounds like you're streaming music directly from iTunes.
There can be many different issues. First, try power-cycling you wireless router (leave router disconnected for about 1 or 2 minutes) to refresh the wireless communication betweek both devices.
Make sure all software updates have been installed, for Apple TV and iTunes. -
My macbook Pro 13'' is giving me trouble

Hi When i create the downpayment process in the invoice i get amount as value but my requirement is in percentage even after i select the percentage basis milestone billing please help what can be done
downpayment percentage , so if i want 50 percent of order value to be paid and when i go to faz type the invoice is created for 0 value that 50 percent of the amount is not getting calculated , where as when i enter in order same as 50 percent in amount it gets calculated in invoice, any help ?

I updated my pages app on my ipad and when I tried to open a document it says the file format is invalid. None of my documents are opening pleaser help!!!!
Try this. It worked for me.
I discovered the same problem. I had an older version of Pages on my iPad. After updating it to the latest version all my previous documents created in pages for the iPad were rendered unreadable and a message stated that they were an invalid format. Why for the life of me would a program that was created by Apple and sense updated not be able to read previous versions...well that's a whole other sad story. Any way I discovered how to fix it but it would require that you had backup your iPad on a computer and not emptied your trash. If this sounds good than here is how you fix it... And it worked for me.
These steps will enable you to reinstall a previous version of the Pages app so you can be able to read and edit older documents.
FIRST: if you did backup your iPad using your computer and did not empty your trash, GOTO the trash and look for PAGES 1.4 (or other number) ipa ( that's the file extension) ie PAGES 1.4 ipa.
SECOND: move that file out of the trash and onto your desktop. Once you do this, double click on it and a box will come up stating a newer version has been found and do you want to revert back to older version. ANSWER YES. It will than automatically place and overwrite the older version back into the file on iTunes that contains the rest of your backed up apps.
THIRD: and this is where it is important that your backup would have to have been on your computer. I'm not sure if backup on the cloud will work. iCloud backup at your own risk And here's why. Before you restore you will need to remove the latest version of Pages off your iPad by doing the usual : holding down the home button until the apps wiggle and remove by pressing on X on app. Removing off your iPad will also delete all your documents but if you have a previous backup on your computer those documents will be stored safely on itunes and will return.
FORTH: plug your iPad into your computer and allow it to sync so iTunes will recognize it. Once iTunes is up and you can see that it recognizes your iPad, GOTO "FILE/DEVICES/RESTORE FROM BACKUP." ******* DO NOT CLICK ON BACKUP***** click on RESTORE FROM BACKUP. This will reinstall all previous settings and documents that were their when you backuped PLUS the older version of Pages that you placed back from the above steps. Let it run through all the setups ( this could take up to 20 minutes...depending on amount of data and photos and apps).
FIFTH: Once everything is reinstalled a message will popup on your computer stating "to leave iPad plugged in until iTunes recognizes it again" ( it's basically rebooting itself). Once done (leave iPad plugged in still) GOTO iPad and follow the steps. IMPORTANT: iPad will ask you if you want to SET IT UP AS A NEW IPAD, BACK UP FROM THE CLOUD or BACK UP FROM ITUNES.....press SET UP AS NEW IPAD. Follow all of the steps required. Once complete GOTO iTunes on computer, look for "IPAD" plus a little arrow ( should be on upper right corner of iTunes window, click on it ( this will safely disconnect your iPad from iTunes) . Now unplug iPad from computer and go to your iPad and look for the older version of Pages. It should be there along with all your old documents ( readable and editable too).

Try disabling the computer's antivirus and firewall during the download and restore. If still problem come back with the exact wording of the error message.

Report it to the police. Report it to your wireless service provider. Attempt to use BB Protect to wipe it clean. Outside of that, there is nothing to be done. If your personal issues prevent you from carrying this out, then you must consider all of your data on your BB to be compromised.

Sometimes and this is network dependant if they suspect the phone to be lost or stolen as in this case with change of Sim card and provider then the origonal network can and some will block the phone untill you have rang them and proven it's not the case or if you have bough this 2nd hand then the origonal seller may have stopped paying the contract bill and thus the phone is blocked

Deleting Primary Key --- High Priority -- Please help us
There is a custom defined table which had two primary keys and then moved the same to production. Since we got some requiremnent we added two more primary keys in the table in development server. We also activated the same in Development server. Now we need to delete the recently added two primary keys. It is a most important custom table. It is not allowing us to delete.
It gives us error message about lot of dependencies and foreign key used in other tables.
Please help us resolve this issue. FULL POINTS WILL BE AWARDED FOR THE SOLUTION. please help us resolve the same. Bottle neck situation.

If you are not sorting by the primary key ( E.g. using the ORDER BY PRIMARY key ... Instead use ABAP SORT + DELETE ADJACENT DUPLICATES on an internal table, ...

Have a problem with deletting a folder that has 100+'s folders in it that are locked. Please help.
Put the folder into the trash - go to the Finder menu and hold down the alt key whilst selecting Empty Trash.
I've never tried this with a folder full of locked files, but it certainly works with a single locked file.

Apparently you can have 5 computers registered for iTunes. I have 3 active computers but I guess I have other computers that are still activated that I no longer use and I no longer have as they crashed. Is there a way to delete or see what the other computers are so that I can go in and delete them? I've tried to email Apple directly but apparently I need my hardware # and obviously I do not have that # since I don't have the equipment any longer. Any help is greatly appreicated. I am trying to add another computer and it won't allow me to as they say I'm at my limit. Please help!

Just open up iTunes on your computer -> Go to the iTunes Store -> Click your e- maill address (top right corner of the window) -> Type in your password for your Apple ID -> Under Computer Authorisations (underneath your Apple ID account balance and address) -> Press 'Deauthorise All'
-> This will deauthorise all computers and devices from your iTunes account -> you then need to re- authorise any computers/ devices you would like to use with your Apple ID for iTunes content -> to do this, select the Store tab along the menu at the top (where 'File', 'Edit', 'View' etc..... are) -> Then click 'Authorise this Computer' -> Type in your Apple ID -> Voila!
For any iOS devices (non- computers) you wish to re- authorise, these will automatically do so when you go to play iTunes content, download an app or anything like that on those devices!

This is on my HP mini they recently stopped working but do work if i hold down my FN key ;\ which is very annoying as I have to constantly hold it down. does any one else have this problem ? or something that may help me fix it ? thanx
